I install touchGFX Designer 's 4.16.0. The application templates only has PC and STM32F429 Discovery board template. Even when I connect the network, but the lab of the online application is still disabled, so I can not enter this menu.If there some configuration or packages I missed. I remembered that before now, I can create application templates based on some other discovery boards. So how I can I see other templates. Because I want to use STM32F746 discovery board to do some evaluation.
What can I do? All versions of TouchGFX Designer does not have any Templates, Demos, etc available.
We are developing on a vertical screen.(Set in TouchGFX Designer's Config-> Display-> Display Orientation)Use TouchGFX's dynamic Bitmap to load RGB888 data (64x32) into the buffer. If you set the generated data to Image Widget, the image will be distorted and displayed. (Attachment: image_v_ng.jpg)If you use dynamic Bitmap with the same RGB data in a landscape environment, the image will be displayed correctly. (Attachment: image_h_ok.jpg)In the case of vertical screen, if width is 32 and height is 64 in touchgfx :: Bitmap :: dynamicBitmapCreate (), the image rotated 90 degrees to the right is displayed. (Attachment: image_v_32x64.jpg)If I use dynamic Bitmap on a vertical screen, do I need to make any settings?(Uses TouchGFX v4.16.0, STM32H750B-DK)Thanks in advance.
Hi all, basically we wanted to test creating a GUI with touchGFX for our STM32F103 (320x240 LCD via memory interface).First problem: after downloading touchGFX 4.10 and creating a new project, we have only 1 application template for simulator. We see none of the other templates when reading touchGFX tutorials (usually a lot of discovery boards are in the screenshots). So the next try was to install Cube. With STM32F103 there is no touchGFX option (obviously), so we followed the tutorial in https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020208091-Configuring-STM32F769I-DISCO (the idea was to adapt the gui code to our hardware; the basic board setup for the F103 is already running in an atollic project). We can start touchGFX via the "Execute" button from within Cube, but when trying to "Generate Code" we get this error: "no <projectDescription> node in ../.cproject". Interestingly there is a "projectDescription" section in .project! Thanks for any help (generally for the touchGFX
Hey guys -I've got a development where I'm going to use the simulator and share the build with a team to get thoughts/usability input/etc. So, I'm going to want to simulate input into the GUI. The model is using FreeRTOS queues to do the messaging to the various backend threads.I think the best way to simulate this would be to capture and "playback" data by sending the data into the queues which the model would then use normally. These might be time-based playback or it might be triggered by GUI events. So, what is the best way to implement this? Is the windows build of the simulator running FreeRTOS so can I just implement threads and queues in the normal manner using osDelay()? Does it use dotNET? I haven't been able to find much documentation on the simulator? In fact, the user guides that do mention the simulator seem to have errors in there as the define of "Simulator" wasn't active. I had to add it to the main.cpp file in the simulator directory.FYI I have been using the default "
Can you copy screens, objects, and interactions between one TouchGFX project to another? I tried Ctrl + C the objects, but they only seem to copy and paste within the same project window and not from one project window to another.
In our project, it has many screens that have animated container. When the container slides in and covers the whole screen, the widgets beneath the container are still touchable, even though those widgets are "invisible". This does not make sense. Does anybody meet this problem?FYI, we found this problem when the project is almost done, about 50 screens are designed this way. To fix the problem with fewer changes, we created a customed modal window and use it to wrap all the containers. it works, all other widgets are blocked by the modal window. Are we missing something? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
HiSTM32CubeIDE 1.5.1TouchGFX 4.16STM32F4 Lib 1.25.2FreeRTOSSo all latest. Display: 7'' 1024x600 connected to LTDC, SDRAM IS42s16400j-7, Framebuffer set to 0xC0000000When static picture is displayed all is fine but when I use for example swipe menu I got something like in attached picture when sliding between pages:I got something similar on STM32F746 and there switching off DMA2D fix it, but here nothing helps.I tried single buffer, double buffer, with and without DMA2D, RGB is set to RGB565, system clock, FMC and PCLK on LCD is set to maximum and confirmed with oscilloscope. Is there any other option I can check to fix that?ThanksMichal
How do you change the name of the STM32F4 project that is generated by TouchGFX? I don't see an option to do it in the GUI of TouchGFX because the field for the application name is greyed out:
Hi,I am trying to activate DMA2D in my display. We are using an STM32F7 processor. I have few questions regarding this.Current situation:As soon I activated the DMA2D, I started observing glitters in text rendering. I thought it has something to do with invalidating cache and I added the line SCB_CleanInvalidateDCache(); at the beginning of function void STM32F7DMA::start().This resolved the text rendering problem. But on stressing the display (by continuously sliding on the slider widget) after around 40seconds, the screen would freeze. There is no recovery after. The display restarts.I guessed this has to do something with simultaneous DMA and TFT accesses to SDRAM, therefore I set the hal.lockDMAToFrontPorch to true. After doing this, there was no screen freeze or text rendering problem.I have the following questions based on the above situation:1) While I had text rendering problem, hal.lockDMAToFrontPorch was set to false and on stress testing there was no screen freeze.I also didn
Hi,I am looking for the example from the picture below. To save time, I want to reuse the graphics in my application (I guess those graphics are free of use). Thanks!
Dear All,I have tried to make the slide transition effect when a screen is changed to another screen. I set all "Interactions" in TouchGFX designer.Change screenTransition : SlideTransition Direction : Eastother setting are all good. But the screen transition act like "None" transition option."Cover" transition option ==> it works. "Slide" transition option ==> it acts like "None"But one thing, the simulator works fine for evey options. Why "Slide" transition option doen't work? Please give me some advises about this matter. Thanks in advance.FYI, I don't use GFXmmu and I use DMA2D.
I'm trying to set up my stm32f429 discovery board LCD in SPI mode while using TouchGFX as the GUI designing tool and I have successfully initialized and tested the LCD alone. Now as I'm trying to add the touch support (STMPE811) I'm getting stuck in the Memory Management Fault while(1) loop. The code I'm using as the touchscreen driver is tested and is directly extracted from the TouchGFX example for this board. Here's the link to the projectAny help would be really appreciated.
The TouchGFX uses a Modal window. A TextArear is declared in the Model Window, and the TextArear content is to be changed depending on the circumstances. Is there a way to change the text only in one TextArear? For example) case1 -> Hello, case2 -> Have Nice Day! case3 -> Good Days!~I want to change these text contents and use them.
Hii, i am working with STM32G474 MCU with 250X250 Pixel TFT display, i have Develop UI and it is working fine but now our code size is to increase so i want to make Generalize , so now i want to create one Screen and in that screen all the common image available and as per requirement i will access required image form other Screen , so can you please suggest how to move image from other screen to present screen,i have try many thing but unable to do that ,please suggest as soon as possible.thanks
Typically text Single Use Ids are removed when the element is removed. I have also found that they are removed when I change the text area to use a Resource ID.However, I have a few that refuse to disappear.I am attempting to go to a text resource with wildcards only in my application. When I select the wildcard, I am not placing a default value to prevent these Single Use Ids.They are showing up in the following files as well as Touchgfx project file and texts.xlsx but NO WHERE ELSE in my project (including any base screen files): Any ideas?
In TouchGFX, data transfer is done as follows.Model.hppuint8_t TmpA;In Presenter.hpp, return Get_Data(){ return model-> TmpA;}Viwe.cppuint8_t Test;Test = presenter->Get_Data()I am doing the program in this way.But I heard that I shouldn't do this. When the model data value is exceeded in the presenter,Model.hpp says it should be made into a function as shown below.uint8_t Get_Model_Data(){ return TmpA;}In Presenter.hpp,uint8_t Get_Data(){ return Get_Model_Data()}This is how it should be done.Which is the right way?
Hello, anybody knows how to make a screenshot function with touchGFX4.12.3?Hardware: stm32f767+sdram,ltdc ,800*480 LCDI found a API STM32F7HAL::getTFTCurrentLine(), my logic is that when the current line is greater than 480, then __HAL_LTDC_DISABLE(&hltdc) copy sdram data to some buffer;__HAL_LTDC_ENABLE(&hltdc) I try it many times,sometime I can get the whole scrennshot ,sometime can't;See the attachment for your reference;
Hello,I am wondering what C++ standard is used for the TouchGFX generated code?I checked in C:\TouchGFXProjects\ProjectName\gcc\Makefile but was only able to find -std=c99The concern is that if TouchGFX generated code with modern C++ (C++ 2011 and later) it may pull in libraries that causes code bloat. Thanks for everyone's time.
hey,as i saw at the EVB, the driver uses the SDRAM as a memory source for the RGB interface.the SDRAM size is 256Mbit while the SRAM is 16Mbit.in my application, my plan is to use the SRAM only.Do you see any problem to use the SRAM memory for the RGB controller? Does anyone tried to upload a pic or even access to a certain pixel by using the SRAM ?Moreover, when i showing a static pic on the screen, does the controller sends the pixels Periodically (50HZ) or only one time ?Thank you!

Currently, i am developing a camera module using STM32F769NI.When i was trying to figure out how to output the processed video data, i found LTDC module.I am wondering if this module can be used for digital output in general, even if the LCD panel is not attached to the back. Also, i am curious what this video signal level is (ex. LVCMOS).Thank you.
Hello, this is not the first time i set touchgfx in a custom board (with STM32F767 MCU). I always followed the method described in the touchfgx documentation, which can be summarized in this video guide. Now i'm trying to get it to work with STM32H743 MCU. I tested first the framebuffer in the internal and external ram respectively, following the official documentation. Once working, i enabled touchgfx 4.16 (i'm using CUBEIDE 1.5.1), i enabled CRC and FreeRTOS v2 and i inserted MX_TouchGFX_Process() inside the GUI Task. When i debug it returns HardFault, but if i remove the MX_TouchGFX_Process() function it debugs without problems, but obviously nothing happens.I tried to use __HAL_RCC_CRC_CLK_ENABLE(); before initializing Touchgfx, but nothing.I also noticed that the "Generate Under Root" checkbox is checked and i can't uncheck it, while the official documentation says to uncheck it.Cane someone help me?Thank you.
Hello,i would like to start a project with a STM32H743, a 4 "TFTDisplay and STemWin. The sDisplay works perfectly via FSMC. Now I have downloaded the STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.8.0. Which Lib should I use? In old versions they were marked with GCC. Now with w16 w32 etc.Greetings Sascha
Hello,I want to download sample code from this page: https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/backend-communicationBut I don't think the links are working, for example:http://sw-center.st.com/touchgfx/TouchGFX/knowledgebase/hw_integration_tasks_exti.4.9.3.zipDoes not download the zip. I think the links maybe broken again. Is there an updated link we can use to get the example code? Thanks!
