I ported "Model UI TouchGFX Demo 1 " on my board (WaveShare Open746I).Screen resolution increases to 1024x600 16BPP.On the target and also slightly on the simulatorIn in the Graph screen transiton of SlideMenu it's very slow.if I remove points and area setting the transition is less slow, until it becomes normal by removing the two graphs. What this slowdown is due to ?Also. The addition of values to the graph is done in GraphView::handleTickEvent. How often GraphView::handleTickEvent is recalled? Depends on the screen resolution?//Antonello
Hi, I initialized 2 layers in LTDC to show 2 images, which was done directly by addressing them from flash. That was fine till I want to set 2 layers in my SDRAM. application note has said the first one should be addressed in 0xc0000000 and the second one should be configured in a bank addition to first layer. The problem is 2 layers independently work but to enable them at the same time, they won't work properly.Have some one faced with this problem?what should I do to enable them at the same time?stm 32f429LTDC is configured in 16 bits.
i have included all the required files and initialized touchGFX as given in many demo's but my function is stuck in some loop and the data is not displayed on LCD. There are 0 errors and 0 warnings but still i dont get any output. one of my colleague has done same project earlier in earlier version but he gets the output required whereas i dont get any output inspite of no errors. here is also a snapshot of function which gives that is not defined but there is no error regarding to it and is a generated file by touch GFX
Hi,We want to use STM32H747I board in the end, but we don't know TouchGFX inside out.First of all, we made logo screen at simulator and try importing into STM32H747I, but didn't succeed. Is there a way to import project?
I have an ILI9341 LCD working on the Discovery board with 32F407VG, but I wanted to try TouchGFX as it supports ILI9341, but it won´t let me install in.So I downloaded the TouchGFX package off the STM web, thinking I would patch the library in myself, but I can't see the source code for the ILI9341 library.Curious why TouchGFX is not supported for 32F407VG as the Discovery board works perfectly with the 9341 LCD module.
I have TouchGFX with ST7789 LCD controller connected via FMC and would like to use double framebuffer strategy to offload the CPU by transferring data to LCD by DMA. Is this a supported use case? I noticed a few things which may suggest otherwise:TouchGFX documentation here says that HAL::flushFrameBuffer() should wait for the pixel data transfer to complete. With double buffering enabled in CubeMX getClientFrameBuffer() always returns address of frameBuffer1.A comment in generated source: //setTFTFrameBuffer() not used for selected display interface
Am using STM32H745BIT6 controller with LCD 800x480 and 16MB SDRAM with 16bit data bus for LCD framebuffer. Am in a dilema whether to use 24bpp or 16bpp and have a few questions,I have already gone through the Application note AN4861 and I have to say the data given is very informative. As my SDRAM data bus is 16bit so in one cycle 16 bit data can be transfered that means if I use 24 bpp 2 cycles will be needed. So this will be slower than using 16 bbp where 16bits are transfered at once. Please confirm this. Or another way would be to go for 32bit SDRAM data bus which I think is not neededFor my configuration above 800x480 and 16 bit SDRAM with 16bpp would be sufficient as per my calculation. Please confirm. Is there any advantage of using 24bpp (888 color mode) vs 16bpp (565 color mode). In above case the performance would be affected by using 24bpp.Is there any advantage of using 2 layers instead of 1 layer? Can 2 layers be used with 2 LCD frame buffers? ThanksAnuj
HiI have some wiedgets which are using the registerTimerWidget functionality. My software crashes with an assertion:*** assertion failed: timerWidgets.size() < MAX_TIMER_WIDGETS, file ../../../../framework/source/touchgfx/Application.cpp, line 585The MAX_TIMER_WIDGETS are defined as 32 in the file Application.hpp. Now I wanted to increase that number, but the crash still happens at 32 registrations. Now I assume that the library is precompiled with MAX_TIMER_WIDGETS = 32 and that your check does not check for the size of Vector<Drawable*, MAX_TIMER_WIDGETS> timerWidgets;Anything I can do to increase that number? @Martin KJELDSEN Thanks for your help./jimmii
Has anybody project for board STM32F469i and display 800x480 with NT35510 controller ?I tried replace original generated driver OTM8009a by new NT35510, but display not working.
I have a SlideManu object in my ViewBase. I would like to modify the stateChangeButton attribute to allow shading from the View class object. This is a protected attribute in the SlideMenu class but there should be some way for me to have access to the parent protected attribute via inheritance in my View class.Right now I just changed the attribute from protected to public so I can modify it but am looking for a more elegant solution.
Hello Everyone,I have a code working with external RAM but I want to use internal RAM of STM32 MCU on STM32H757I-EVAL board for a TouchGFX application. I changed Buffer Location option as By Allocation on CubeMX and generated the code. It seems TouchGFX Generator made some necessary changes on TouchGFXGeneratedHAL. Build the code and and run debug. Everything seems ok but I just want to be sure if it is a correct way. When I try to increase the resolution, I get overflow error as I expect. Also I commented fmcInit2(&Error_Handler) function to see if it still works. It was not working before but works now. Thanks.
Hi!I would like to unit test my software, is there any support for that in TouchGFX?Kind regards
As I am using the STM32H745 board when I attach my external board to the controller the LED2 of the controller starts blinking. As datasheet refer LED2 to STLK Over Current. now my LCD is not working nor is it debugging. but LED2 and LED3 are still blinking red.
I am facing this issue. always says system can not find specified path. what is this error?
i simply create a application with a label button, container with two radio button shown belowactually what i want is when i click the button show the container (do it with interaction and virtual function calling)container.setvisible(true)container.invalidateworks well at the same time when i select any of the radiobutton ,the text of the label button have to change corresponds to the resources added (do the same in touch gfx text example)
I found one usage of ft5336 in TouchGFX STM32F746G_DISCO example. The problem is that this library is not the same as in STM32H7 firmware Package. I compared it with all the versions but didnt find the match. The question is wich library is the latest the one provided in STM32H7 package or the one in TouchGFX example?https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeh7.htmlI want to use ft5336 library on STM32H750
as i includeUnicode::snprintf(textArea1Buffer, TEXTAREA1_SIZE, "%s%d\n", textArea1Buffer, pda[i]); //textArea1.invalidate(); textArea1.invalidate();it works when i replace \n with \t show fallback characte(?)what is actually happenalso addwildcard range from 0x20 to 0x7f
how print a space in touch gfx textarea
Hello, When I try to build source codes including STemWin(5.40) library, following warning is shown and display is not work. when I tested at IAR 7.80.4, there was no problem.Warning[Lt009]: Inconsistent wchar_t size GUIAA_Char4Ext_XBF.o(STemWin540_CM4_IAR.a) and 166 other objects in STemWin540_CM4_IAR.a have wchar_t size 16 bits __proc.o and 310 other objects, some of them in dl7M_tlf.a and 99 other libraries have wchar_t size 32 bits When I searched iar warning info, I found thisIn EWARM version 7.80 and earlier, the size of wchar_t was 2 bytes wide and the runtime attribute was set accordingly. In EWARM version 8.11 wchar_t is 4 bytes wide and the runtime attribute is set accordingly. As a result, we need to differentiate emWin Library by IAR version.Could any one know where to find STemWin library to be able to support IAR 8.x?Best Regards,Tommy Lim
can i add 10 textarea into an array likeuint8_t txt[10] = {textarea1,textarea2,textarea3,.....,textarea10};actually i want 100 uart data 10 times ie1st time recieved and printed on textare1, 2nd on second and so on. after each printing an index in increased and change the array index according to the index it should work
Hi all, I am currently using the STM32F769-Discovery board.I am looking to display a GUI designed with TouchGFX Designer (4.20.0) on an external screen via. the B-LCDAD-HDMI1 board. The display I am using is the 7inch Capacitive Touch Screen LCD (7inch Capacitive Touch Screen LCD (C), 1024×600, HDMI, IPS, Low Power Consumption (waveshare.com))Up till now I have been able to implement the LCD_DSI_VideoMode_SingleBuffer example project such that the screen shows the alternating images as intended. However, I have struggled with the LCD_DSI_CmdMode_DoubleBuffer due to makefile errors. When i've attempted to implement the elements of the example which relate to displaying on the external screen i've had difficulties identifying what to send to the video buffer from TouchGFX elements.Has anyone had any experiences similar to this and able to lend a hand?
Hi,We are trying out some simple applications generated on the TouchGFX and loading them onto the STM32L4R9AI Discovery Board. These simple applications are like a toggle switch to change the background colour or a button to swap between screens.Once the code is uploaded to the board, it functions well for roughly 30 seconds, and then the touch screen becomes disabled (it cannot recognise any touch gesture). We further tried to generate some serial output through the USART every 100 milliseconds to check whether it is just the touch interface or other peripherals. Even the USART serial output slows considerably from 100 ms to about 1 second.I believe the TouchGFX is enabling some power-saving mode that switches on after some time, but I cannot see where that might occur. We have deployed our codes/touch interface program on STM32F7508, which works perfectly (not meant for low-power mode).Has anyone had a similar experience with this particular board/chip integrated with the TouchGFX? Wha
I am using stm32l4r9. Added buttons to the screen when using TouchGFX. After uploading the file, the touch function of the screen will disappear after about 1 minute. In other words I don't get a response when I press the button.
