Hi,I am trying to add files from an external library to be build and executed with the TouchGFXDesigner simulator.Using TouchGFX 4.20 in Windows 10:In the Makefile under "TouchGFX/simulator/gcc/Makefile" I am adding the following:ADDITIONAL_SOURCES := ../STM32CubeIDE/library/source ADDITIONAL_INCLUDE_PATHS := ../STM32CubeIDE/library/includeBut when I try to run the simulator I get the following error:C:/ST/TouchGFX/4.20/env/MinGW/bin/../lib/gcc/i686-w64-mingw32/7.3.0/../../../../i686-w64-mingw32/bin/ld.exe: cannot find ../STM32CubeIDE/library/source: Permission deniedIf I add only the "ADDITIONAL_INCLUDE_PATHS" I don't get any error but when I also add the "ADDITIONAL_SOURCES" then is when the error appears. Not sure how the permission problem can relate to Windows.
Good day everyone,I have a question about my new STM32F469I Disco board.I receive yesterday the board from Mouser. After powering up I notice that the display did not start with the usual demo as my other new STM boards starts. Then I try to load it from TouchGFX app but still the screen was completely black. I try with separate simple "blink" project and everything was normal. I'm not sure for this board, but i believe that in the moment of powering up the display's back light should blink for moment. Correct me if I'm wrong because this display do not blink. The other think that I notice is that the code that is generated from TouchGFX is suspicious - see attached photo. The resolution of the display is 800x480 according to the datasheet. I'm not sure that it matters but my board is with blue solder mask. I would like to ask, if it's possible, some one that have working code for this board to share it with me. I want to try to verify where is the problem. From the software or HW part.
Hello,I've a STM32746G custom board with interface 800x480 resolution LCD.From Touchgfx I add Scroll list and I've scroll up and down by using hardware key.Scrolling working fine but whenever I'm scroll up and down then Screen is shake every Scrolling item element Scroll. From TouchGFX,all Container all text MAXIN use as a Fade Animation and from in Scroll list MAXIN use as a MoveAnimation. Here I'm share with you code snippet ScreenView.cpp and Container specific file. So, kindly review and give me a solution, suggestion or any other reference code. Thanks in advance.Regards,Pratik
Hi everyone,The text translation functionality of TouchGFX is awesome and implemented easily by just adding another language and implementing the code for the call of the setLanguage(id) function. I just wondered were I would put an initial call of this function after a system reboot. The currently selected language is saved in the flash section of the STM32 µcontroller and is being load to ram when the system starts.
I need an example how to save radio button state data.
Hello,I am trying to prepare myself for a custom board design and I want to understand how to create a project via CubeMX, similar to how embryonic does in the YouTube video below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRQD8JMeg_k&t=2030sTo try and do this, I am using the STM32H7B3I-EVAL board. I create a project in CubeMX (selecting the STM32H7B3I-EVAL board) with the TouchGFX 4.20.0 software package added. Once the project is generated, I open the project in CubeIDE and open the application template and create a very basic screen (blue background with the text "I have configured this correctly", just to prove the concept). I then made the code changes made in the video into the CubeIDE files that he does. However, I have not been able to get this to work. The screen is just black. This may be a longer debugging process, but first I want to sanity check myself:1) If I want to use the TouchGFX Designer to make my display on a custom board, is the best practice to make the project in CubeMX
Hi everyone,I need a function to draw many lines on runtime to show different work progresses. The lines should be able to be invisible and have 4 different colors. When I would use the lines from TouchGFX it would generate a huge code to select the correct lines in the right colors. Therefore I wanted to draw my own lines and add them at the place I need it.I found this code below, but my code crashes after add(line1);Any idea what I'm doing wrong Line line1; PainterRGB565 linePainter; line1.setPosition(5, 125, 240, 1); linePainter.setColor(Color::Color::getColorFromRGB(112, 146, 184)); line1.setPainter(linePainter); line1.setStart(2, 0); line1.setEnd(438, 0); line1.setLineWidth(1); line1.setLineEndingStyle(touchgfx::Line::ROUND_CAP_ENDING); add(line1);?Thank you very much
Hi,we are planning to change current LCD with 10 inch (800*600) TFT Display with TouchGFX and already we are using QSPI flash, do we need additional memory interface (SDRAM/SRAM)?Regards,Adrush
In the scroll wheel with selected item, you can drag the last item (the top or bottom item of the whole list) nearly out of the area of the selected (highlighted) item. How can you change how far the last item can be dragged out of that area? I thought it might be the overshoot percentage but changing the value of that in scroll base initializer list does not change anything. Example image from "scroll whell and list example": The zero is last item and can be dragged out of the "selected item area". How can you make the value how far the zero can be dragged out of the region, smaller?
Hello, I'm trying to configure a project to use the NUCLEO-H743ZI board and the x-NUCLEO-GFX02Z1. The documentation states that the board is compatible but until now I could not configure a working project. The generated example software fails to read the correct ID during the LCD_ReadID method, and I could not find the issue. I have provided the .ioc file in the attachment. Can someone help me with this configuration?. Thanks in advance for any support provided. best regards
Hello,I am looking to use the NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q, which utilizes a STM32H7A3ZI MCU. It has the following memory specifications:2MBytes of Flash1376 kBytes of SRAMI am looking to do the following things on my product:1) LCD Display (480x272 resolution), potentially with animations (animations TBD. For this question, assume we are using animations)2) CAN communication3) Basic GPIO signalingMy goal is to minimize PCB cost, so I am trying to see if I can get away with no additional, external RAM/Flash. I am trying to determine if that is possible, but want to confirm my logic. For the SRAM, it needs to be able to display each pixel of the full 480x272 resolution. If we assume 1 frame buffer (no animation) and a 24 bit depth (RBG888), then the RAM requirement is:480 x 272 x 24 / 8 / 1000 = 391.68 kBytesIf I want to do animations (Basic TouchGFX screen transitions. Not anything fancier than that), then an additional frame buffer would be needed. Therefore, the needed SRAM is:480 x 272 x 24 / 8 /
We teach using the STM32L476G Discovery kit Board. We have been using STMCubeMX 5.6.0 and Libraries 15.1. We want to migrate to current versions (6.6.0 and 17.2) but all of out programs that use the LCD controller fail. After some detective work, the bug appears between versions 6.2 ands 6.3. There is a file called stm32l4xx_hal_msp.c that is generated and some new code has been added:/** Initializes the peripherals clock */ PeriphClkInit.PeriphClockSelection = RCC_PERIPHCLK_RTC; if (HAL_RCCEx_PeriphCLKConfig(&PeriphClkInit) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }It turns out that this code was moved from main.c to stm32l4xx_hal_msp.c and in moving it one line of code was dropped. PeriphClkInit.RTCClockSelection = RCC_RTCCLKSOURCE_LSI;Without this line of code, the LCD/RTC clock selection is none. That's why nothing works. There is a workaround since there is a user area where this code can be placed. But - it is still a bug.How do I report this kind of bug and either get it ad
Dear Sir,i want to create project in Touch GFX Designer v 4.20.0 using hardware STM32F29 I discovery board,1) when i click on Create button -> ST Microelectronics -> STM32F429I Discovery, software shows 0% but i get error of " Download of STM32F429I discovery failed".2) Similarly when i go to examples -> animated image example , progress bar shows 33 % and "Download of animated image example failed"3)Similarly when i go to Demos -> dice animation , progress bar shows 33 % and "Download of dice animation failed"4) I am able to run the simulator and create some basic GUI of buttons5) I am having STM32CubeMX 6.6.1 and Touch GFX 4.20.0 installed through STM32Cube MX -> manage Software packs. Please suggest, as i am new to Touch GFX.thanksnikhil
Dear all, I'm working on a project based on stm32h735g-dk I'm using the three ADC in differencial mode. For the ADC 2 I assigned the pin PF13 and PF14 . I'm also using the LCD with touchgfx.I discovered that the pin PF14 even if this is not declared at all in the .ioc file is used by the display and If I apply any signal to the ADC in the LCD just freeze. Do you know by chance if it is normal that such pin is considered free in Cube MX while it is not actually free?
I have a project with a little status bar at top of the screen. I have used the custom container function. Along with some other status icons it shows time via the digital clock widget. This widget needs the include #include <touchgfx/Color.hpp>as it is basically a text filed that is manipulated by clock functions. While working on the project it was decided that we remove a former present text are as it was not longer needed. The removal resultet in an error while compiling the project in STM32CubeIDE showing the following error:Description Resource Path Location Type 'touchgfx::Color' has not been declared infoBarBase.cpp /STM32F429I-DISCO/Application/User/generated line 19 C/C++ ProblemIf I add the additional and gui-wise unneeded text area the code will work fine as TouchGFX adds the color.hpp include in the custom container base file. But why does TouchGFX remove the still needed include in the first place? I could just add a hidden text area for it to work but this is no sa
Hi,Why CubeMX forces the TouchGFX generator to the M4 context? I can't uncheck the M4 and assign it to M7 context from within CubeMX. I was wondering if I did something wrong or if this was known issue when generating project with TouchGFX using CubeMX?Zaher
I'm trying to write on a LCD named 2004A. The problem is that the row i write are mixed up. I attached a photo of the result and the two main file of the project. Thanks for yout help.
I am looking at the maximal supported pixel clock of the stm32F4x9 with SDRAM 32bit. The pixel rate for 640x320 pixels at 60hz refresh is 640*480*60 = 18432000. There is a table in AN4861 Table 10 that states the maximal supported pixel clock is 35Mhz with 1 layer 32 bpp. What exactly is this refering to ? If I take 18432000*32 = 589824000. Is the table 10 referirng to the transfer speed from the SDRAM ? Do I take this number and mulitply it by 32 or 35mhz * 32 to get the actually throughput for this device ?
Hi, I used the STM32F429ZI-discovery board. And software specification are here.STM32CubeIDE : 1.8.0TouchGFX : 4.17.0I imported project from TouchGFX to STM32CubIDE by referring to the following site.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12KXreXaLp0 I have successfully built and complied and enabled DAC channel 2.But, the STM32F429-discovery board LCD shows nothing.I disabled DAC channel 2 and built and complied. After that the STM32F429-discovery board LCD shows icon.I don't understand what the problem is.Could you help me How to integrate TouchGFX and STM32CubeIDE?I want to enable DAC channel 2.Thank you.
goodAfternoon, I am making a TouchGFX project that needs to use the DAC and ADC present on the discovery board using the DMA. Does the STM32F769I-DISCO TouchGFX code have something that makes so that the DMA doesn't work correctly by default? If so what should I change/add in the TouchGFX code so that the DMA starts working normally?I made some code in an STM32CubeIDE project and the ADC and DAC work normally. When I put the same code on the TouchGFX program the ADC callback gives wrong vaiues and the DAC doesn't change value (it has a lookup table of a sinus and is triggered by a timer), I should see a sinus...If more code is needed just ask, I will gladly write it here if it makes it easier to understand the problem. Here is the screen that should start the DAC and a screen of part of the MPU settings (generated by touchGFX).After some tinkering I think the problem is due to the fact that the D-Cache and I-CAche are active and the memory layout with MPU done by TouchGFX. I can't unders
Currently I am using TouchGFX 4.20 I created Project, I am able to configure USB as CDC by Adding #define USB_CDC But didn't find any option to setup USB as MSC. could you please help me on this.?My requirement is to configure USB as both CDC and MSC in touchGFX Application.
