I wanted to use the HDP (Hardware Debug Port) peripheral on the STM32N6 MCU (Nucleo N6 board), but CubeMX does not generate the MX_HDP_Init() function for it and does not initialize the peripheral either.Based on the reference manual, I tried configuring the peripheral at the register level but was unsuccessful. My example:LL_APB4_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB4_GRP1_PERIPH_HDP); *(uint32_t*)(HDP_BASE_NS + HDP_MUX) = 0xffffffffUL; *(uint32_t*)(HDP_BASE_NS) |= 0x1UL; *(uint32_t*)(HDP_BASE_NS + HDP_GPOSET) = 0xff; uint32_t hdpval = *(uint32_t*)(HDP_BASE_NS + HDP_VAL); // read back the HDP_VAL registerMy question is: how can I enable the "(from BSEC) HDPEN" signal shown in the diagram below? Thanks:Peter
Hi,I am trying to us X-CUBE-EEPROM to store a few variables.I would like to perform memory cleanup on startup. It is the only time I can reliably do that, since the operation is blocking read of instructions from flash. Is there any way I can tell the cleanup should be triggered? I need to know before writing new data. Only way I can see in documentation(AN4894) is to try to write and see if I get EE_CLEANUP_REQUIRED returncode.
Hello,I am trying to develop a board with Bluetooth Low Energy using the STM32WBA63.I have tried to base my design on application note AN5165, but it is for the STM32WB55, and I couldn't find any application note related to RF and the WBA series.I also wasn't able to find the impedance of the RF pin of the WBA63 (QFN48 package) in the datasheet.Could you please provide to me the impedance value of the RF pin for this MCU ?Also if there are application notes for RF development on the WBA63 series, could you please provide them ? Thank you
The new revision of errata sheet for STM32H7 mentions a new error relative to SPI: It is particularly vague. What "fast software" and "slow SPI" frequency means exactly ? What is the minimum ration between both frequencies to avoid the issue ?What "add a delay" means ? How many clock cycles ?With this description it is impossible to evaluate if a software may have this issue neither to implement a workaround.
Hey there, I recently started learning how to use Azure RTOS on STM32 with NUCLEO-h723ZG Board. While following this courseDeveloping with Azure RTOS on STM32 Series Microcontrollershttps://academy.st.com/s/learning-plan-detail-standard?ltui__urlRecordId=a6g3W000000k9jMQAQ&ltui__urlRedirect=learning-plan-detail-standard&tabset-7a350=2I came accross the FileX section in Session 6. At slide 31 the course wants me to delete a file and copy some other from a specific directory. As I'm using a higher version than the course I was not able to find the FileX folder in the directory mentioned. What can I do about this problem, because I can't proceed my learning process with FileX? Is there any up-to-date-Guide that I can follow along?
I'm trying to use the LCD screen in STM32N6570DK, but it has an error like this`Break at address "0x18003a1a" with no debug information available, or outside of program code.`. But when I tried to view the vector table generated by disassembly, It will produce such a result ` Failed to execute MI command:-data-disassemble -s 34181902 -e 34182090 -- 2Error message from debugger back end:Cannot access memory at address 0x209930e`, But these errors don't happen every time
Hello everyone, I’m working on a project using TouchGFX and I would like to know if it’s possible to display real-time curves (line graphs) that represent data coming from a sensor connected via I2C. :small_blue_diamond: I’m using a microcontroller from the STM32 series.:small_blue_diamond: The sensor communicates through I2C (temperature sensor).:small_blue_diamond: I would like to visualize this data in graphical form (curves or charts) on the display using TouchGFX. My main questions are: Is it possible to plot real-time curves or graphs using TouchGFX? Are there any built-in widgets or recommended methods to implement dynamic data plotting? What is the best way to send I2C data from the MCU to the TouchGFX GUI efficiently? Are there any examples or tutorials available? Any suggestions, code examples, or documentation links would be very helpful! Thanks in advance :folded_hands:
Hi, I'm trying to implement read ADC1 value triggered with TIM6 then write it via DMA(GPDMA1 CH0). I created CubeMx project and generate code accordingly (Using LL driver). But I can't enabled DMA channel. Is there any code example about it?
Hello everyone, I'm trying to setup a STL32CubeIDE project with a custom STM32WL5MOCH6 MCU. I managed to test if the board is alive with a simple hello world debug print on SWV and there's no issues. The problem starts when I enable the LORAWAN middleware (EndNode Skeleton Application): For this i have to enable IPCC, ADC and RTC : But when i generate the code and build the project i get those errors :- CM4 : ../Core/Src/usart_if.c:107:3: warning: implicit declaration of function 'MX_DMA_Init'; did you mean 'MX_RTC_Init'? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] 107 | MX_DMA_Init(); | ^~~~~~~~~~~ | MX_RTC_Init ../Core/Src/usart_if.c:108:3: warning: implicit declaration of function 'MX_USART1_UART_Init' [-Wimplicit-function-declaration] 108 | MX_USART1_UART_Init(); | ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ arm-none-eabi-gcc -o "aerosentinel_echo_CM4.elf" @"objects.list" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -T"C:\Users\Yassine DEHHANI\Documents\aerosentinel-echo\CM4\STM32WL5MOCHX_FLASH.ld" --spec
Initialization issues, i2c communication with ccs811(air quality indicator module) using stm32u083cc mounted/swapped on stm32f411(blackpill) board. Only the hdc1080(RH/Temp) board connected on the same lines works. Strangely, with stm32f411ce mounted on blackpill the same code works w/o any issues and I could read data from hdc1080 and well as ccs811. In both the cases the initialization code was generated by stm32cubeMX. The code generated for 32f411 makes sense. The i2c init code generated for 32f411 in -MX is very different from 32u083. Tried changing rise/fall time, digital filter coeff(0-15), enabling/disabling analog filter/no-stretch.
Cordialement,Please note that the forum language is English - see Community Terms & Conditions.Google Translation:Good morning,I'm an embedded software engineer at Actia Micromobilité. I own a PMSM Hall effect motor for a bicycle, which I control with the STSPIN32F0 board. I've encountered a startup problem: the motor isn't providing enough torque at startup.
Good morning,I have a doubt regarding the behavior of the "HAL_FDCAN_GetRxMessage" routine of the HAL for the FDCAN peripheral.I am using an STM32H563VGT6 microcontroller. From what I can observe by inspecting the code, it seems that when overwrite is enabled and the FIFO is full, the first element in the FIFO is discarded. This happens without first checking if an actual overwrite has occurred via the RF0L/RF1L bits of the FDCAN_RXF0S/FDCAN_RXF1S registers. As a result, it might occur that no overwrite has taken place, but messages are still discarded and therefore lost.Am I missing something?
I am trying to calibrate 512Hz RTC to 1ppm or <1ppm. Desired Frequency = 512HzAverage Frequency Obtained is = 512.0073HzWhat should be the value of CALP and CALM ??? (I used the CALP = 0 and CALM = 15, but still the ppm that I obtained is ~14) Could you please help me with what should be take care of too obtain a value closer to 1ppm. I used both oscilloscope and 53131a universal counter to measure the RTC calib frequency out.
Hello Community,I’m currently working with an STM32G4 MCU and the BQ7697202 BMS IC, and I’m trying to establish basic I2C communication between the two. According to the BMS IC datasheet, I’ve configured the I2C address correctly, but I’m still unable to detect the IC on the bus.Additionally, I implemented an I2C scan to search for available devices, but the scan returns “No device found.” Please find the attached I2C configurations for the reference. Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!
Board is STM32H7S78-DKSerial: K242000883CubeMX 6.14.0TouchGFX Designer 4.25.0CubeIDE 1.17.0I load the STM32H7S78 Discovery Kit FreeRTOS example in TouchGFX Designer, design a screen and then open it in CubeIDE and flash it to the board. All fine. Then I open the .ioc file in CubeMX and activate ETH in Application and select the RMII mode. Immediately I get a Clock Configuration issue. The ETH CLOCK is only 24 MHz, but should be 50 MHz. When I click the button resolve clock issues I get a solution. I generate the Code (must enable USE_NEWLIB_REENTRANT) and flash the board with CubeIDE, but the Screen is dark. When I debug it goes into the Screen1View::setupScreen, but the Screen I designed in TouchGFX doesn't come up.
I create project based on touch-gfx and it is working corectly but I would like to merge its UI with my another project. To achive this I changed the touch-gfx project structure to default STM32CubeIDE. I got graphics distortions after this. What could be the reason of this fail?
Hi, I have a custom board equipped with a STM32WLE5 based module for LoRa transmissions. I am able to manage the processor in various low-power modes and wake it up by pins and/or RTC. How can I configure the processor to wake it up by the sub-GHz radio? Is there a code example to start from? Many thanks
I have a LoRaWAN end node project with STM32CubeWL MCU Firmware Package v1.3.0.I'm using LoRaMAC version 1.0.4. What confuses me is why my end node device can successfully join to the gateway based on the increment value of the dev nonce. The detailed explanation is like this:When the device is turned on for the first time, the device successfully joins the gateway on the first request and the dev nonce value is equal to 1. Then when my device is reset or turned off then turned on again, the device fails to join the gateway on the first request and the dev none value is equal to 1. But when in the second request and the dev nonce value is equal to 2, the device successfully joins to the gateway and so on like that. Why did it happen? Is it based on the LoRaMAC version I'm using ? What I need is that the device will attempt to successfully join to the gateway on the first request when i.e. it is reset many times, regardless of the value of the dev nonce or any other param
Hello All,I am facing the issue for displaying the high resolution images, while running on Touchgfx simulator and STM32H757I-Eval board. I am using the 1000 X 682 image on .png format.Though I have made Image scaling algorithm to Bilinear Interpolation but the image quality and text in those images do not look refined. The original image and the simulator image has lot of difference in its quality.Let me know how I can increase and make the display image resolution to get better image quality ? Regards,Shiv
Hello,I’m trying to set up my project on a custom board with an STM32F767IIT6 microcontroller. A display is connected to it via LTDC (480x272). Additionally, there is an SD card connected via SPI. I’m using only the internal RAM — no external memory is connected. My goal is to store graphics on the SD card and display them on the screen. Nothing fancy—mostly small icons. When I generate the project and upload everything to flash memory, the demo example runs without any issues. However, when I configure the project according to YouTube tutorials, the screen shows a scrambled image with colored pixels. The outline of a rotating logo animation is also visible. I’d be grateful for any suggestions on where else I should look for the source of the problem. My settings:
textArea can only be configured in the design of the text alignment, but not in the code to dynamically modify the alignment of the text, which is very strange, because then, in the long text of the automatic line breaks, the Chinese need to be left-aligned, the English need to be aligned in the centre, it can not be achieved.
I still have the same issues since a few releases of TouchGFX also in the new release that i can not download the boards or any demo or so out of the software. What is the reason to this? I tried a lot of things but it wont work. So is there any solution to that issue? Thanks a lot for the Help.
Hello, I'm currently developing a GUI for STM32H747I DISCO as all of a sudden, i couldn't open my touchgfx project properly anymore. Everything worked well before. Now there are no screens shown in the designer and the application name is always "MyApplication" which is not true. Also the Config Icon on the sidebar is often not visible. I also deleted and reloaded the Project into the TouchGFXProjects folder but unfortunately it is always the same problem. My TouchGFX version is 4.24.2. I appreciate any help.Best regards.
I have an stm32f769 discovery kit and i want to use the usart to read gps data.In CN13 header and PC6 and PC7 pins for TX and RX of the USART 6 .But in the default Touchgfx project created from touchgfx so i can have a screen already working these seems to be set as VSYNC FREQ output and Render Time output pins respectively in the same order.Am i going to break the project if i change the setup for usart rx and tx?Where and in which pins can i reassing the VSYNC and the Render Time outputs. Are they real signals that are needed from the display to work? I seems that completely removing them the Touch does not work or it does not seem to work.I moved the pins to some others. I randomly selected PB3 and PD7 in the same order and everything seems to be back to normal.I am not sure if there is any hidden impact that i just do not see now.
Hi, I want to generate a bipolar square wave with a pulse width of 100us per phase using the DAC in STM32F446RET6. But when I measured the DAC output (PA4), I found that the DAC output was not an ideal square wave, but a trapezoidal shape with a long rise time. However, according to the STM32F446RET6 manual, the DAC conversion time should be only a few microseconds. I used the DMA function and triggered the DAC output via Timer 6, but there was no improvement. How can I make the DAC output as perfect as possible? Best, Junzhe
