Hello all,I am trying to send "Hello World" to my computer through using the guide below but nothing is sending to the port. I cant see anything on Tera Term. (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Step3_Introduction_to_the_UART) (of course I selected STM32F0disco instead because I am not using the board in the example) I have also tried following this tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isOekyygpR8) but I have still seen nothing.I am using a STM32F051 Discovery Board and I am using UART2. PA2 is Tx and PA3 is Rx. When I put an oscilloscope to PA2 I can see quite clearly that the Tx is working and transmitting the data, but it does not look like it is making it to the USB. I don't really care too much about the Rx because i am only trying to send data from the board to the PC. (I am using STM32CubeMX/STM32CubeIDE by the way).I have tried switching cables, switching OS, switching PC's, Switching to UART1 (Which also work fine). I looked at the user manual (UM1525)

When executing "vl53l0x_SingleRanging_Example" or "vl53l0x_SingleRanging_High_Accuracy_Example", the distance can be measured correctly, but when executing "vl53l0x_ContinuousRanging_Example", it cannot be measured.Is there somewhere I can check?Below is the log when running "vl53l0x_ContinuousRanging_Example".VL53L0X PAL Continuous Ranging exampleCall of VL53L0X_DataInitAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorVL53L0X_GetDeviceInfo:Device Name : VL53L0X ES1 or laterDevice Type : VL53L0XDevice ID : VL53L0CXV0DH/1$CProductRevisionMajor : 1ProductRevisionMinor : 1Call of VL53L0X_StaticInitAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorCall of VL53L0X_PerformRefCalibrationAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorCall of VL53L0X_PerformRefSpadManagementAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorCall of VL53L0X_SetDeviceModeAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorCall of VL53L0X_StartMeasurementAPI Status: 0 : No ErrorIn loop measurement 0: 0In loop measurement 1: 0In loop measurement 2: 0In loop measurement 3: 0In loop measurement 4: 0In loop measurement 5: 0In loop measurement 6

Hi,I'm currently working on sending signals through FDCAN or UART of B-G431B-ESC1 while driving a motor.I have written a debug code which sends UART data when a button is pressed. However, the function is called once and never called again, nor the motor won't start."stm32g4xx_mc_it"uint8_t mc_it_debug[64];void EXTI15_10_IRQHandler (void){/* USER CODE BEGIN START_STOP_BTN */  sprintf(mc_it_debug, "StartStop Button Pressed\r\n");  HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart2, mc_it_debug, sizeof(mc_it_debug));  if (  0U == LL_EXTI_ReadFlag_0_31(LL_EXTI_LINE_10) )  {    /* Nothing to do */  }  else  {    LL_EXTI_ClearFlag_0_31 (LL_EXTI_LINE_10);    ( void )UI_HandleStartStopButton_cb ();  } } in the main.c file, /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */HAL_Init();/* USER CODE BEGIN Init *//* USER CODE END Init *//* Configure the system clock */SystemClock_Config();/* USER

Hello,I have second stage bootloader in place and want to change RDP level from it (0 to 1 and roll back when doing firmware upgrade). However, the problem is, once RDP level is changed to 1, bootloader is not able to change it back to 0. I've to change RDP level 0 from ST-link v2 and stm32cube programmer which results in mass erase of the chip (which ends up erasing my second stage bootloader). Is there any way around it ?My actual issue is : I want to disable read from mcu. Either through RDP or any other mechanism (which i'm not aware of at this moment).Device : STM32F767Thanks,Shriram#STM32F767 #RDP

Hi,I m testing SPI TXE flag with the following code:void TestSPI(void){ GPIO_ResetBits(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_4); SPI_I2S_SendData(SPI3, 0); while (!SPI_I2S_GetFlagStatus(SPI3, SPI_I2S_FLAG_TXE)); SPI_I2S_SendData(SPI3, 0); while (!SPI_I2S_GetFlagStatus(SPI3, SPI_I2S_FLAG_TXE)); GPIO_SetBits(GPIOA, GPIO_Pin_4);}The SPI is set to work with 16 bits.Checking the pins on oscilloscope (see picture attached with yellow for GPIOA 4, blue for SCLK, purple for MOSI), you can see GPIOA pin 4 going high before the second half word is fully sent.Would someone know why the second TXE flag is set while transmitting the second half-word?Thank you.

Hello everyone:I have a problem with my project. My project is to use STM32H750UBKx  + Keil MDK5 IDE to design. The customer bootloader runs in Flash, and The application runs in Quad SPI NOR Flash (or SRAM).Problem: When I execute the code "JumpToApplication();", it will be "Hardfault"Thanks!more information:0. I have checked that the data in the SRAM(0x30000000) is the same as the bin content compiled by my application.1. Hi everyone,I have configured my ADC on STM32F405 in Scan mode to read 5 channels. What I like to do ist to make a single DMA transfer to sample the 5 channels more than one time (e.g. 10x5channels = 50 elemet DMA transfer) To average the data after the transfer. However, I could only run a DMA Transfer with more than 5 elements if I set the ADC to contonious mode. But in Continiues mode, the beginning of the channel order is not aligned to the first element of the DMA buffer (first channel in the sampling order is not necessarily in DMA_Buffer[0]).Is there any solution to this problem, or is the ADC not intended to be used in that way.Best regards

I want to use a MEMS oscillator driving the XTI pin instead of just a crystal between XTI and XTO.  What are the specifications on the input signal?  AC coupled? Amplitude? Drive impedance? Suggested circuit for a 0V to 3.3V output oscillator?

The output push-pull implies either 0 or 1 - never floating. When do we use the output push-pull with pull-up or pull-down capability? What is the application for the output push-pull with pull-up or pull-down configuration?

The new mods variant comes without a connector. Do the 14 strips on it’s down side correspond to the CN5 STDC14 connector of st-link mini? Cannot find this in the UM2502. Would like to solder wires to these strips rather than to castellated edge. And what are the 4 strips on the upper side?

Hello. I'm trying to use the st25dv64kc with FTM and energy harvesting and a modified version of the reference ST android application. According to the scope it appears that power is available from the energy harvesting, but there seems to be a pinging sequence occurring from the android side which makes a continued connection to the NFC chip difficult to maintain. Are there any features in the ST android SDK to help with maintaining a connection to the NFC chip or any best practices for maintaining FTM transfers while energy harvesting? Thanks!

Hi!   I have a problem with reading data from M24LR16E. First time i used Android ST25 app.  Then, i tried to write some default data ("This is a text of 64 characters ====...") on NDEF tab, and after the connection lost (Start screen "Please tap an NFC tag..." not changed, the tag not detect). After I tried to read tag on iPhone (NFC Tap application). It detected the tag, but on start application shows the error "Error while processing CCFile".   How i can reset the tag? The ways to restore?   BR!   Anton Ingerman.

Hello, I'm using NFC08A1 Nucleo expansion board. I am trying to interface this board with another renesas microcontroller via SPI.I have connected the expansion board through jumper wires on SPI lines,IRQ,and GND ,VCC. I'm using RFAL stack for 3916B IC. Currently I'm facing issue in IC initialisation DemoIni() function, the code is getting stuck at  EXIT_ON_ERR( err, st25r3916Initialize() ); inside rfalInitialize() function. Can you please suggest how this issue can be solved.

Hi, can anybody tell me what type of diode I see here?Marking is:VUE XGP 842Must be TVS for low voltage application (24 & 48 VDC)Thanks David

Hello!I'm using ST25R95 with X-CUBE-NFC3 library for an application.I have successfully tried the default PollingTagDetect example. But now, our application requires the usage of interrupt mode for card detection instead of looping NFC_Cycle(); in infinite loop.Application is to just read the UID of the card.@Brian TIDAL @unknown Any help will be appreciated.Regards,Keshav Aggarwal

I have a very simple question concerning the size of the zones and the field of view for (for example) the VL53L8CX sensor. which has a diagonal FoV of 65 degrees. Can anyone provide a simple answer to this question:If the sensor is 1 meter from the target, what size is each (8 x 8) zone at the target?I have tried to follow the app note and calculated 0.37 x 0.37 meter - but I have little faith in my calculation. Thanks

HI, i am studying how to controll vl6180 with a custom board which MCU is STM32L452CCU6. At the beginning , i tried to avoid implementing the api by changing register directly using i2c, however,0x018 is set to 0x2 or 0x0 both did not generate the raw value in 0x064. Therefore, i think there are more config i need to be made before the sensor start reading and an API is required . During searching in the internet, i only found STSW-IMG003 for VL6180X, can i use it for VL6180?Which example could i use just for 1 sensor read range?

Hey, I am using a customize board (MCU:STM32L452CCU6) to develop a gate checker with vl6180/V1 and cover glass with IR filter. Implemented a default value and setting ,the sensor and code works fine indoor. But in the outdoor condition under the sunlight, the sensor only shows 255. I read the datasheet, some setting could help me to overcome this situation, but I don't know which steps should i go first( crosstalk, threshold , convergence time or SNR?). So, which parameter should i deal with it first in order to solve this problem?

We have had this part on order from Mouser for over one and a half years, and Mouser cannot get any details on when ST will deliver. ST, is this part still in production? If so, why are you not allocating any to your authorized distributors in the US and why are you not providing any planning data to your distributors? When will this part be actually be available so your customers can go to production with it?  Your website states this part is "Active: In Volume Production" Is this correct or is this a mistake? I don't think you would accept a "will advise" date from one of your silicon providers, so why do you think it is acceptable to your customers? You must know when these parts are being outputted from your machines and what companyies you plan on sending them to, and when. Please answer when they will be sent to your authorized distributors. Thanks

I'm attempting to run the X-CUBE-SPN3 demo for a single motor on the NUCLEO-F030R8 with the X-NUCLEO-IHM03A1 stepper motor driver. Importing the project into STM32CubeIDE went fine. I updated some of the parameters within the powerstep01_Init_u struct to match the stepper motor I'm using (Nema 17 Stepper Motor - 17LS13-0404E-100H), mainly the torque values. When I build and run the project, the demo starts off fine, but then pauses for multiple minutes before continuing with the next motor command. When I took a look through the debugger, I found that the BSP_MotorControl_WaitWhileActive() function was hanging. Specifically, the nested function Powerstep01_IsDeviceBusy() defined in powerstep01.c always returns true. Has anyone had this experience and been able to fix it? I'm a bit lost on where to go from here.

Hi,I am using ThreadX and the STM32L4A9 processor.  When my application is ready to sleep I call an enter low power function. I followed sample code from ST Cube example which disables the GPIO CLKs and enters STOP Mode 1.//ENTER Low Power Mode/* Disable USB Clock */__HAL_RCC_USB_OTG_FS_CLK_DISABLE(); //We currently don't use the USB clock source/* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */__HAL_RCC_GPIOI_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOH_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOE_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOG_CLK_DISABLE();HAL_PWREx_DisableVddIO2();__HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_DISABLE();__HAL_RCC_GPIOF_CLK_DISABLE();/* Suspend sys ticks to avoid waking up the mcu on every interrupt */HAL_SuspendTick();/* Enter Stop Mode */HAL_PWR_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI);My device wakes up without issue however it is not able to successfully read from a LPUART attached device. I'm looking for some reference designs for circular NFC antennas that I can import into my KiCAD (or EAGLE) PCB project. This link appears to provide them, but it just provides a PDF document listing a range of different circular and rectangular designs, but not any details that I can utilise to actually import a design into my PCB.https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/premium_content/document/group0/b7/d8/32/06/81/0c/42/34/Antenna_Design_Premium_Resource/files/ST25_D-tag_antenna_reference_design_matrix.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.ST25_D-tag_antenna_reference_design_matrix.pdfDoes anyone know where I might find something suitable on the ST website? Thanks and regards,Mike
