Hi, I am working on a project where we need USB DFU on the STM32H730. I have selected the USB DFU function in the .IOC, compiled and uploaded to the hardware, but when I try uploading a new program both via this online DFU Tester (https://devanlai.github.io/webdfu/dfu-util/) and via CubeProgrammer in USB DFU mode. Neither works. I have attached some screenshots of my .IOC settings and of the errors I am getting. How do I fix this?

HiWe are using the STM32U5A9J-DK Development Kit.I want to connect an external device over SPI to the Board using the SPI3 wired to the CN10 Pin see the schematics. As from the datasheet of the development board and also found in the schematics, the pin 16 is routed to PG15 (SPI3_CS)Using the STM32CubeMX it is not possible to set the SPI3_CS nor SPI3_NSS signal on this Pin.I just checked the manual of the STM32U5A9J Controller and it look's like it is not a alternate function of this Pin.I think there is a mistake somewhere, either in the STM32CubeMX or in the Schematics and Datasheet of the Discovery Kit.

Hi!I've some doubts about security features of stm32WB.After reading the documentation, forums, etc; I can find that stm32WB implements all 4 security levels of Security Mode 1, which includes the ECDHE P-256 cryptography.I've some questions about that: If I enable pairing with no fixed PIN selected, Display Only I/O Capability and MITM protection requierd bit enabled, could I asume that after pairing process with the device, the communication will be encrypted? If so, which encryption would be established, AES-CMAC, ECDHE P-256, both or none? I've already been able to program the stm32wb to advertise data, print PIN from terminal and pairing my phone to the stm32WB, but I would like to know if that is all, or if I need more steps to encrypt communications.  Thank you in advance!!

Hi there,is there a possibility in CubeMX to add a remark/comment/note to a peripheral or its configuration? Background:I would like to leave a note (in CubeMX) about what I use Timer5 for and why I configured it that way

Hi there,We are using STM32F413ZHT6 based custom board. In which, I want to see the Flash memory usage by sector wise. But couldn't find the exact way. Using Build Analyzer of STM32CubeIDE, I could see the overall Flash memory usage. But wanted for sector wise. For Example, Considering memory region starts from 0x08140000 to 0x0815FFFF as a sector of 128KB Total size. Is there any way to look for this specified sector usage? Please help me!!!

Hello everybody,I am trying to get PWM Mode 1 working with Timer 15 Channel 1, but PA2 (D1 Pin on the Nucleo L476RG Board) doesn't output any signal. The inverted Channel (CH1N) on the other hand is working.I also tried to configure PA2 as an output and setting it to High, but couldn't get a signal.First i thought it's maybe a problem, as PA2 is the pin for Tx UART, but i deactived the UART in the CubeMX software.I am using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.11.0 Build: 13638_20221122_1308 (UTC)Thanks for helping me out already.Kind regardsblauer_enzian /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of th

Hello,I want to do some programming on the Nucleo-H563ZI development board and the CebeIDE tells me that I need to upgrade the firmware on the ST-LinkV3. When I try to upgrade it, I get an error message:Since then I'm not able to do anything. The board is not recognized, except I do a reset of the ST-Link over JP3 near the USB-C connector. Then I can start a new upgrade process, but it still ends with this error.I think there is no firmware on the ST-Link right now.I tried it on MacOS Ventura (screenshot), but get the same problem on a Windows 10 machine. Can anyone help me to solve this issue?

Downloaded the new CubeMX version, started a new project, tried to configure TIM1, but clicking on TIM1 does nothing. I'm expecting it to show TIM1 configuration details which I can edit somewhere.Am I missing something? (TIM1 is not special, nothing on the left side produces a useful result when clicked.)

I  had started an STM32F103C8T6 project in STM32CubeIDE. Now I wanted to use a DAC to output an analog signal from an internally stored wavetable.I don't see any DAC when opening the IOC editor. Doesn't the F103 have any DACs?

Hello,I’m probably missing something obvious but I don't understand how the return-to-sleep duration can be calculated using the equation in Section 8.34 of the datasheet.I’m also confused regarding how the ACT_DUR time is used for sleep-to-wake. AN5005 Section 10 shows no delay, except waiting for the next ODR period, for wake up to occur. What effect does the ACT_DUR register setting have on sleep-to-wake? Does Section 10 show a duration of zero and if a duration is set in ACT_DUR then the activity must exceed the threshold for the entire duration that is set?Thank you!Regards,John M.

I'm trying to generate the firmware for my B-G431B-ESC1 but it doesn't compile in CubeIDE.Previously I was using the 5.4 version, but I decided to update to 6.1.2 since I saw that it had a better firmware generation. However, There are a lot of errors that seem like a variable has been renamed, for example:../MCSDK_v6.1.2-Full/MotorControl/MCSDK/MCLib/G4xx/Src/r3_3_g4xx_pwm_curr_fdbk.c:1425:28: error: 'PWMC_Handle_t' {aka 'struct PWMC_Handle'} has no member named 'bMotor'; did you mean 'Motor'?I have generated all of the files from scratch and only changed the main.c/.h files, so It shouldn't influence on this.

I'm using STM32Cube IDE with FreeRTOS. The Errata for STM32CubeIDE 1.7.0 state "70505 Implemented a newlib-malloc solution that is thread safe by default."Is newlib truly thread safe now? As far as I can tell, when building a project in STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 with newlib-nano (3.3.0) no __malloc_lock()/unlock() is provided. There seem to be no calls to vTaskSuspendAll() nor to vPortEnterCritical() from inside newlib. So if newlib's malloc has been made thread safe, how? And the_ sbrk() provided in the file sysmem.c does not have any reentrancy protections. Can someone from ST provide a definitive statement about this? And best, can you provide the source code that is used to build your version of newlib?

Hello,i need to know if you recommend to use the BALFLB-WL-08D3 at 433MHzI design my PCB with the STM32WL54CC, and it will operate between 433MHz and 435MHz. i want to know if the BALFLB-WL-08D3 is suitable for my application or if is better to design RF line with passive components. Thank you,Sincerely.

Hello @RMcCa I am working on the same area where i want to write variable in shared memory of SRAM4 via M4 and to read from M7. I have gone through your post Best/easiest way to share data between cores in ST... - STMicroelectronics CommunityCould you please let me know how to do sharing and writing reading variable in STM32Thanks in advance

Hello,I'm trying to debug a firmware in production mode using STM32cudeIDE, but when debugger starts it seems g_pfnVectors isn't properly created. When I stops debugger and view the dissambled code I found that it always points on the first line:00000000: bge.n 0xffffffbabut the address 0xffffffba is not assigned to my firmware; if I go to this point I got the following message: ffffffba: Failed to execute MI command: -data-disassemble -s 4294967226 -e 4294967319 -- 3 Error message from debugger back end: Cannot access memory at address 0xffffffbaHave you any suggestion on how to solve this issue??Here the memory definition of linker script:MEMORY   {   RETRAM_interrupts (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 0x00000298   RAM2_ipc_shm (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00001000, LENGTH = 0x00011000   FLASH_text (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x10000000, LENGTH = 0x00040000   RAM1_data (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x10040000, LENGTH = 0x00020000   }and here's DT's memory reservation :reserved-

Hi,I have a problem with hanging up my board occasionally when an issue from the console reboot.I read about and the internet says this is a problem with the EMMC memory's power cycle. So I followed by a linkhttps://github.com/orangepi-xunlong/openwrt/commit/14d3a99e17f2ec6097eeef97530cba2d62c58d3c#diff-1335d7b270cc58c5342d5e2843730580bfe5d8048d765abb753050095929d85dbut still, after a few reboots my board stacked. My final message from the console is as follows [ OK ] Stopped Create Static Device Nodes in /dev. After the July 10 STM32CUBEIDE update our STM32F407VG boards are no longer being detected, with the error "STM Error: No STM target found"I've tried all the usual settings to recover, STM32CubeProgrammer, Mode under reset, powerdown, nothing lets me connect.I can update the ST-Link firmware, but that's it.The board continues to run any software previously installed, and have tried updating several boards that updated perfectly yesterday, but any updating of the ST-LINK firmware now causes the connection to be lost. One strange thing, with the updated STM32CubeIDE, it request to update the link firmware if the Programmer updated previously, seems they are both using different versions.  I did update the programmer too.Any ideas how to fix?STM32Programmer log:20:16:25 : Board : STM32F4DISCOVERY20:16:25 : Voltage : 2.93V20:16:25 : Error: No STM32 target found!20:19:11 : ST-LINK SN : 0667FF49527750486723255220:19:11 : ST-LINK FW : V2J42M2720:19:11 : Board : STM32F4DISCOVERY20:19:11 : V

Hi all,I'm trying to use STM32CubeIDE to create a project for this board from the list of "Examples Selector". I picked "Demonstrations" as seen in the picture. I don't see a ".ioc" file and when I try to build I get these errors:Description Resource Path Location Typemake: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Users/myUserName/STM32W/Demonstrations/STM32CubeIDE/Utilities/lcd/stm32_lcd.c', needed by 'Utilities/stm32_lcd.o'. Stop. Demonstrations_CM7 C/C++ ProblemI tried 3 different projects and all 3 don't have the ".ioc" file. That's the file that shows the visual configurator pinout among other things. In a effort to find out more I picked a different board (NUCLEO-L476RG, example "GPO"). This time I get an ".ioc" file and the project builds without errors.  I'm new to STM32 and the wh

Is this device in the witness protection program? Anglia cannot export the device outside the UK. Contacts for ST office in Canada are not listed. Good job. DK / Mouser list prices at 2-3x those on Anglia with 0 stock and ETA of the end of this year. Farnell (aka Avnet company) online request leads to '404' page. Avnet (main) has 0 stock and wants a 960 pc MOQ. No thanks. Need to confirm the bugs before releasing to production. Checking if the part is available in China - our bet is yes.

Hello. We already have a custom board based on STM32MP151CAD3 with an eMMC. The following pins are different with default eMMC pins.SDMMC2_CMD: PA0SDMMC2_D1: PB7 As not default pins are used, we need to update OTP value. Here are my result. OTP3 = 0x00000004emmc_if_id=2: SDMMC2(uses non default AFmux defined in OTP).OTP5 = 0x27A41094SDMMC2_CMD = PA0 (bits[15:0]: port0=1=GPIOA, pin0=0, afmux0=9, mode0=4=AF;pull-up;medium-speed)SDMMC2_D1 = PB7 (bits[31:16]: port1=2=GPIOB, pin1=7, afmux1=10, mode1=4=AF;pull-up;medium-speed)However, it does not work. I also trace its ROM log. Attached is log.
