Do someone know how to fix the wrong type format on Live Expression under Debug? The format is uint16_t which "live expression" understand corretly, but shows  signed int. Please, see the picture attached. It was right on old CUBE versions...Regards.

On CUBE IDE Target Selector, on choosing NEW MCU the selection box do not accept anymore the MCU's name? The box accept only one letter and jumps to the next box?Like the attached picture.

Hi, I have a board with STM32G071KBU6N with new and empty flas.I have difficulty programming it because it seems to set some pins as output after power up. for example PA6 and PB7. This is causing a over current in the circuit.I suspect some kind of built in boot loader is running and doing this. There is 100nF to gnd on reset pin without any pull resistor. I also tried add pull up and pull down on pb14/boot0 without any effect.how to prevent the boot loader from running and keep all pins as inputs until the device is programmed? Is it even possible or do I have to reserve some pins to be outputs because of this?

Hello, I am writing about my confusion in "STM32H742, STM32H743/753 and STM32H750 Value line advanced Arm®-based 32-bit MCUs". According to reference manual;STM32H743xI has 2 banks of 1 MByte each forming a contiguous flash memory area, so there would be no issues with a single binary spanning both banks.STM32H743xG has 2 banks of 512 kBytes each mapped to non-contiguous addresses, there is a 512 kBytes hole between the two banks.(As far as i understand, we can create 1 or 2 project not exceeding 512 kBytes in size.) But the size of  project which I created  for STM32H743xG has passed even 600 kBytes. As far as I see, there is no problem in work of firmware. How is it possible while It showing only 4 sector even in attached image? I am waiting for your response. Thanks in advance.

I want to use the STSPIN32G4 for an application with a motor voltage of 6-8V.  Has anyone ever ran with this low of a motor voltage. The specifications list the minimum motor voltage of 5.5V, so I believe it should be possible.  However, the lowest buck voltage (VCC) setting is 8V.  What will VCC be if Vm is 6V?  I believe I will have to drive VCC directly, instead of using the buck converter.  Can I tie Vm directly to VCC for this application?

i have a question regarding the correct way of reading the timer counter registers.I learned not to read timer couter registers asynchronously, because it can lead to spourious wrong values if i read just when the timer changes it's value. In several posts, i read it's easy, only read TIMx->CNT.Isn't it important first to disable the counter, then do the read operation and after reading enable the counter again to avoid this effect?

Hi!I am trying to write a program where I am waiting for receiving 6 bytes of data through UART. It works just fine the first time, than I restart the receive_IT function and nothing happens anymore. I have other codes where I use it just the same, the only difference is the MCU. For this project I am using an STM32F030F4P6.main.c volatile uint8_t rx_buffer[6] = {0}; int8_t step = 1; /* USER CODE END 0 */   /** * @brief The application entry point. * @retval int */ int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */   /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */   /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX

Hi, I have writen simple callback function for handle end of ADC convertion in main.c file. In main.h is declared extern void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc); main.c void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef* hadc){adc_Complete = 1;} After command Build All in Project menu is result: ../Core/Src/main.c:203:6: warning: 'HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback' defined but not used [-Wunused-function] My callback function is not used for interrupt handling of course. In the past I dindn't find any problem with callback in Keil system. What I do need set in STM32CubeIDE to solve this problem? Thank you for help.

Hi since I am very new to touchgfx this is probably a wrong or already answered question. How can someone has a user edited text line or text area with a virtual keyboard? I mean to have a text input widget that user selects it and a keyboard opens on screen so user can set the text. Is it possible?

I have nucleo-f410rb on handi tried to connect all three uart pin on the board (uart 1,2,6)none of them workand i found if i use keil to code the board, the uart2 message could come out from arduino board uart pinbut if i used STM32CubeIDE , it can't even come out from arduino board uart pini searched for this problem.some said it is the problem of the division of uart clock(since i can see the message when keil is used, i don't think it is related) what is the problem?

I have a design with a STM32G030J6 (SOIC8) controller. I don't need an external reset. I want to use the pin 4 as a GPIO (PA1). I connect a button to this input. I select the appropriate option in CubeMX, but when the button is clicked, the controller resets. How can I disable NRST from this pin?

I am trying to use the AD converter on my Nucleo-F030R8 board. (Actually it works with the "HAL" functions, but I am trying to program on a lower level). While debugging I am watching my struct ADC1 (Wich points at the ADC registers). I am trying to write:ADC1->SMPR = 7; //(ADC_SMPR_SMP_0 | ADC_SMPR_SMP_1 | ADC_SMPR_SMP_2); but when I read the value of this register in debugging mode, it still says that the value is zero.I have included: #include "stm32f030x8.h" in the header, but it still won't let me write to this register...It seams to be working when I first run: MX_ADC_Init();, but if I comment it away it won't work.

HelloOur software development environment is running on Internet offline computers. Is it possible to get alerts when new versions of STM32CubeMX and firmware packages is released so we can download them and move them to our offline environment ??best regardsHåkan

I am trying to set-up the demo-kit for Acoustic Echo Cancelling and I am a bit confused about steps 1 and 2 of Getting started with the STM32Cube function pack for acoustic echo cancellation - User manual in part 2.3.1.On my boards bridges that should be soldered are not but also bridges that should not be soldered are. What does "Configure" means, should I solder every bridge indicated ? And unsolder also the ones that should not be ? Why are resistors highlighted in orange ?

HiWe are using the DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1.USART-5 uses pin PB3 for Tx, is this pin not available on the LoRa development kit ?Is there a way to re-route the USART-5 Tx pin or access it ?thanks

Hi,I am using the stm32mp157f-dk2, I'm using the core-image-minimal image and i'm trying to create a custom image. However, I would like to increase the rootfs size in order to add modules in the root filesystem once the kernel starts. I tried modifying the file /meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp/conf/machine/include/st-nachine-common-stm32mp.incIMAGE_ROOTFS_MAXSIZE ?= "2017660"Then, i tried to modify the  /meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp/recipes-devtools/sdcard-raw-tools/sdcard-raw-tools/create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh file, just as the post DEFAULT_RAW_SIZE=4096 DEFAULT_ROOTFS_PARTITION_SIZE=2097152I also modified the local.conf fileIMAGE_ROOTFS_EXTRA_SPACE = "1008830"The problem i'm expecting is, the image built, but I see this message at the end of the build processWARNING: quoia-custom-1.0-r0 do_create_flashlayout_config: >>> Cannot generate FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-trusted.tsv file: the st-image-userfs-poky-stm32mp1.ext4 binary size (1167261696) for userfs

Hi, I'm using a STM32WLE5CCU micro with FW_WL V1.3.0 library. I want to implement a feature that receives a downlink command from the Network Server and reboot the entire system like pushing a reset button will do.Once the command is received, is there any local function I can use for this purpose?Any example of implementation?Thank you!

UM2411:Caution: The I/Os of the STM32 microcontroller are +3V3 compatible instead of 5 V for ARDUINO ®Uno V3This mean can not conect to Stm32h747-Disco with pines for uart to arduino directly o no ? If hay problem with this how to send data o solve this problem?

Hello, I have the STM32G474 Discovery Kit and am just attempting to get a blinky LED program to work on it for right now. In the STM32CubeIDE, I imported an example, was able to get it to build correctly (after changing references from caddr_t to void*)  and it seamed to download to the device correctly (verified and everything) after hitting the debugger button. When I pressed run, however, nothing changes on the board. I ended up using the STM32G474E-EVAL example since I was not able to find a blinky LED program for the Discovery Kit. Or any example for the Discovery Kit.  Maybe I am not looking in the right place or perhaps searching for it incorrectly? Are there examples for the G4 discovery kit? And if not, how easy is it to port the examples that I do have to my specific board?Let me know if I can provide any more information that might be helpful. Thanks, Emma

If I register a callback function for GPIO EXTI and I have EXTI on multiple ports for the same pin (e.g. PA0 and PB0) how does the callback distinguish between the ports when the event triggers?

Hello I have set the timer7 for 1 minute interrupt. It is working at every minute as expected. But the interrupt is also triggered as MCU is reset. I have set global counter for increment in timer7 callback. As soon MCU is reset , Timer7 callback is called and counter is incremented. Please suggest why it is happening.static void MX_TIM7_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM7_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END TIM7_Init 0 */TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0};/* USER CODE BEGIN TIM7_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END TIM7_Init 1 */htim7.Instance = TIM7;htim7.Init.Prescaler = 65400;htim7.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP;htim7.Init.Period = 44035;htim7.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_ENABLE;if (HAL_TIM_Base_Init(&htim7) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}sMasterConfig.MasterOutputTrigger = TIM_TRGO_UPDATE;sMasterConfig.MasterSlaveMode = TIM_MASTERSLAVEMODE_DISABLE;if (HAL_TIMEx_MasterConfigSynchronization(&htim7, &sMasterConfig) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}}//***********

Hi,a footnote(4) in STM32H7 reference manual RM0468 Table 56 regarding the maximum allowed frequency for ADC says"With a duty cycle close to 50%, meaning that DIV[P/Q/R]x values shall be even".Does this recommendation apply to the actual DIVXx register bits value or the resulting actual divisor /(DIVXx + 1) ?Or, in other words, is DIVR2[6:0]=0000010 (ie. /3) be regarded even (0000010) or odd (/3) and thus not well suited in this context? I assume the latter? Thanks for clarificationKolja

Hi, I am trying to synchronize a SPI Block data transfer between two MCU's (Ti MSP430 Master, STM32G0 Slave). The idea is to use the DMA to transfer the data to memory and use the DMAMUX to Sync with a timer. For demonstration, the data is transmitted to USART.Here is my result:The red cycle mark the sync point generated by the timer interrupt of LPTIM1.For testing, a defined pattern with 6Byte is transmitted via the SPI. And you can see that the data is not in sync with the block transmission. Has anyone an idea how to solve this?SPI1 is configured to receive the data in Slave mode and use DMA.DMA Channel 3 is configured to transmit data from SPI1Rx to memoryDMAMUX Channel 2 is configured to SPI1Rx synced by LPTIM1

There is mistake in either the documentation or the source code, which one is correct please advise. __weak uint16_t PWMC_SetPhaseVoltage(PWMC_Handle_t *pHandle, alphabeta_t Valfa_beta) { wUAlpha = Valfa_beta.alpha * (int32_t)pHandle->hT_Sqrt3;  wUBeta = -(Valfa_beta.beta * ((int32_t)pHandle->PWMperiod)) * 2; }   But if you compare with the documentation In the alpha code the PWM period (T) is missing. In the beta code additional 2 is found. Why there is a difference? Please help.

LPUART1_TX - PA2LPUART1_RX - PA3I'm having trouble testing because I'm getting frame errors by UART1.My PCB didn't design any circuit for PA2 and PA3 because the IC that connects to the MCU's UART pin uses 3.3V TTL communication. However, using the HAL code, the HAL_UART_Init function automatically enters the HAL_UART_ErrorCallback function even if the IC is not connected.Interrupt and DMA methods are the same.I am not considering the Polling method because of the possibility of missing bits.I also use UART2, but UART2 is not a problem.Only UART1 is the problem. My board might be the problem, so I tested it on the NUCLEO-L031K6 board, but the result is the same.Is there any way to solve this problem?I am attaching the code, which is very simple, but outputs an error. In fact, there are only three functions in the code that need to be executed to see the same problem.MX_LPUART1_UART_InitHAL_UART_Receive_DMA or HAL_UART_Receive_ITHAL_UART_ErrorCallbackHopefully we can resolve this issue.
