Solved

Hello,I'm developing a USB-Host application (MSC / Fullspeed) with the STM32H743 µC (using STM32H743I-EVAL2 Board)The application works fine when using PLL3Q as clocksource.But when I use PLL1Q or RC48 as clocksource the USB "Core soft reset" timed out: OTG->GRSTCTL |= USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST; // Core soft reset   // Wait Core reset to finish, max 100 ms tout_ms = 100U; while ((OTG->GRSTCTL & USB_OTG_GRSTCTL_CSRST) != 0U) { if (tout_ms == 0U) { return ARM_DRIVER_ERROR_TIMEOUT; } tout_ms--; HAL_Delay(1U); } HAL_Delay(1U);I mapped RC48 to MCO1 to check if there is an 48MHz output and it is.I checked the RCC/USB registers but couldn't find anything suspicious.Does anyone has an idea what's wrong here?Thanks,Peter

Hello again,After configuring all of the peripherals and pins, I have run into another problem.  I need to enable the Azure RTOS but I don't have any selection for U5.  I am on the latest build now and I downloaded the latest FW package (1.3.0). I'm using the STM32U599VJT6.I see others talking about using it and there are videos about it so I must be doing it wrong.  Is there a package that I am not seeing is missing?  I am using Azure for an H7 project but it was a while ago so maybe I'm just missing something with this new chip! Thanks so much! Michael

I'm looking for a mechanical survivability spec for shock/vibration for the gyroscope MEMs sensors offered by ST, and was wondering if this information is available somewhere?Specifically interested in the A3G4250D and I3G4250D sensors. Is this information available?Thank you!

Hello,I'm Christian, and I'm new to working with the STM32H747 microcontroller. I don't have much experience with it yet, and I'm seeking guidance on how to get started. If anyone could provide some help in understanding how to work with this microcontroller, I would greatly appreciate it. Additionally, if you have any suggestions for learning materials that are beginner-friendly, I would be very happy to hear them.Thank you for your assistance.

Hello,I am interested in using the STM32U599 chip but I don't see any Nucleo boards based on it or even the 5A9 that use the standard footprint with the rows of headers along the board.  I was going to make my own board, to drop into an existing prototype that takes those, but I figured that I should go through the IDE first and make sure it can be setup properly. What I found is that unless I select the BGA package, you can't even start a project with this chip.  I'm interested in the 100 or 144 pin QFP so that I can quickly hand solder a prototype.  When will you be adding support for this chip in your software? Thanks!

Many thanks for your help!I have a custom STM32MP157c boards that works OK when the galcore.ko module is not deployed. When the galcore,ko module is deployed, the screen doesn't show up the usual image and after the boot image has been displayed, it stays black. From cat /home/weston/weston.log, it seems that something foes wrong with a signal 15 ([11:24:37.793] caught signal 15:([11:24:17.605] Output 'DPI-1' enabled with head(s) DPI-1   [11:24:17.605] Compositor capabilities:   arbitrary surface rotation: yes   screen capture uses y-flip: no   cursor planes: yes   arbitrary resolutions: no   view mask clipping: yes   explicit sync: no   color operations: no   presentation clock: CLOCK_MONOTONIC, id 1   presentation clock resolution: 0.000000001 s   [11:24:17.606] Loading module '/usr/lib/weston/desktop-shell.so'   [11:24:17.609] launching '/usr/libexec/weston-keyboard'   [11:24:17.612] Warning: support for depreca

I've been trying for a while to get DMA working on SPI, it returns an error when i poll the DMA so it stays in the while loop but I can't seem to figure it out and there is not much Info that helps me. Maybe someone can help me to get it working, my code is below and HAL settings are below.       /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2023 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */ /* Includes -----------------

Hello,I have this project that I can debug pretty much normally in STM32CubeIDE 1.11.2, but when I switch to 1.13.1, it crashes almost instantly when I hit a breakpoint. Sometimes I will be able to do a few "step into" or "step over" before the debugger just exit without any error message. Debugger consoles does not show anything strange. Here is my debug configI am using a Segger J-Link Ultra+ as the debug tool (7.84e firmware version). The project is compiled for size so it can makes debugging problematic sometimes because it jumps at curious, but this issue is different, it just stop debugging for no apparent reason.

Hello I'm working with SPC560P40 and I tried to send CAN data but with any condition which I tried out, it has just some regular pulses that has no meaning. I saw all examples in SPC5Studio but I got same pulses. would you please help me out with this problem. Thanks for your attention

Hello, i'm starting to work with a ST25DV64 device and at beginning the read command of UID (Address 0x0018) just work fine. And i get the UID of the chip. But after implement some write commands (password, fast transfer mode, enable gpo,...) the chip now only return NACK after reading the UID. I removed all other commands, but reading of UID only return NACK.What happens to the chip? Is he locked? And how can i get him unlocked? Or is maybe the chip deadlocked? We are testing with the ST board ANT7-T-ST25DV64KC and we put some pull-up resistors with 10k.I have now 3 boards that are all "locked".

I try to figure out what the correct UCPD clock frequency is.RM0456 in section 74.4.2 UCPD reset and clocks states:"The receiver is designed to work in the clock frequency range from 6 to 18 MHz. However, the optimum performance is ensured in the range from 9 to 18 MHz"However, in section 74.8.1 UCPD configuration register 1 (UCPD_CFGR1) it says:"It is recommended to use the pre-scaler so as to set the ucpd_clk frequency in the range from 6 to 9 MHz."I found no place where RM0456 clearly states from where UCPD kernel clock is derived. What is the correct UCPD clock range?STM32H5xx manual RM0481 has the same above inconsistencies. In section 11.4.12 Kernel clock selection (table 105) it clearly states that UCPD kernel clock is HSI (64MHz) clock divided by 4 but in section "56.4.2 UCPD reset and clocks" it says"transmitter is clocked with ucpd_clk clock, pre-scaled from the ucpd_ker_ck (HSI16)"OK, it is still 16 MHz, but STM32H5 has HSI64, not HSI16. This can be confusing.S

I want to see the result value in real time. like table format.(like stm32 studio live expressions)What should I do?

STM32L4R9AII6 generates 16 SPI clock pulses when I have selected data size 8 in STM32CubeMX.When I measure the SPI clock when I write a single byte to the SPI1 DR register it outputs 16 clocks. When I debug I can look at the SPI1 registers. The CR2 DS bits = 7. According to the datasheet this is 8 bits. But when I measure there is 16 clocks when I write a single byte to the DR register. If I change the DS bit to 3 it will output 8 bits. What is going on?

Hello, some of our boards do not boot after powering them. We realised that most of the time this happens, the 1.2V at VCAP1 and VCAP2 == 0V. At our boards the BYPASS_REG pin is floating. So there are two questions for us now:1. Could the floating BYPASS_REG  pin cause our Problems?2. does the BYPASS_REG pin have an internal pulldown resistor? We also realised, that if we add a 10µF capacitor to the NRST pin, the board will boot everytime. (Normaly there is a 100nF capacitor)Thank you in advance :)

I use TIM2 in Hall Sensor Mode andI want to use the unused channel 4 for PWM generation. There are no conflicts in CubeMX configuration. Are there any problems with the actual operation?

I need to capture 8 x RS422 data and send them to abother unit via TCP/IP. We have designed a custom board for this. My questions are: 1. In terms of software programming side there is no difference between RS232 and RS422 right?2. Which example sample source code would be useful for me? UART or USART?thanks in advance

Hello,I have no auto-completion in the expressions and live expressions windows. This is quite annoying because the complete variable names have to be typed in.In the editor window the auto-completion works fine.I know it from other Eclipse based IDEs that auto-completion in the expressions window is possible. How can I activate the auto-completion in the expressions window or is this not possible in the STM32CubeIde ?Regards,Thorsten

Hi STM, I really need your help. I have been trying non stop for the past 5 days just to display something on the LCD.Step1: I am able to BLINK LD2, LD3 on the board. Step2: I want to display something on the LCD. But seems like it is always black. I tried using touchGFX & IDE to display a button, it has no error. but the screen is the still black. https://youtu.be/AizWAlbU4Og?si=uYhhPJ3NZQZXQRtDSomeone please help me to at least start. JP5 is connected. JP2 pin3,4 is connect

Hi,i tried the SAI_AudioPlayback example for the h745 discovery board. I'm using Keil and with the keil 5 armcc compiler everything works fine. Now i switched to armclang 6 and replaced the "libPDMFilter_cm7_keil_wc16.lib" with "libPDMFilter_cm7_gcc_wc16.a" i can compile & run the program but soundoutput is not working.i attached a screenshot. for the input i get pdm values but pcm is always zero. If i compile with armcc the pcm values are not zero.is there something i have to configure? i think maybe it is some signed/unsigned problem? does anybody have a hint what can cause this error?Regards

Hello.I am a student who is currently studying related to stm32 at the university.I'm learning how to install and use the program because it's my first time using the stm32 board.I would like to apply the expansion package that you gave me to the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board. The professor gave me a file in exe, and when I ran exe and installed it, there were many files, but among them, there were four Tests folders in the projects folder -> NUCLEO-H743ZI folder -> Applications folder -> STL folder. And when you go into one of the files, it's in the SW4STM32 folder. There were two files, the cproject file and the .project file.I'm curious about how to open and apply the expansion package installed like this.No matter how much I look for it, I don't think it shows how to apply the expansion package, so I came here.It may seem strange that I am not in the English speaking area, but I would appreciate it if you could reply.

Does anyone know how to import an IOC file into an existing project?I was trying to have two IOC files; one for issue 1 of the hardware and one for issue 3 and swapping between them, but something's gone funky with it and now the project won't recognise the IOC file even though it's there in the directory. If I move the two IOCs out of the project directory and then try and import them, but right clicking on the project, selecting import and then import IOC file, Cube spits its dummy out and tells me"Project is already existing within current workspace" Whatever than means.I have valid IOC files, why won't Cube accept them and what do I do to fix this please?Ta.,

Hello,I have a test app that starts in wake for 5s (with "high" current and GPIO output high) then enters STOP Mode 2 (with "low" current and GPIO output low). It remains in that mode until the EXTI 1 interrupt is triggered by a button press, which wakes it up (current and output go high). That much works.5s after waking up from the button press it then reenters STOP Mode 2. Pressing the button again does nothing. After seeing that, I added the code below to reinitialize the GPIO both in the EXTI callback function and just before calling HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode() - neither one of those made it work. Note that the EXTI callback function calls SystemClock_Config() and HAL_ResumeTick() before the code below is called. Using the debugger, I can see that EXTI1_IRQHandler() does not get called after reentering STOP Mode 2.What else could be missing? (If I press the button multiple times after the first press but before it reenters STOP I do see the IRQ trigger each time - it'

What do you when your LD1 turns red everytime you plug-in a cable? The name of my board is nucleo-g071rb, I'm using cubeIDE. I am trying to do an STLink upgrade, but it says I'm not connected and should check my cable. LD3 and LD4 turn green, but LD1 turns red.

Hi. We have this applications where we use a different type of flash chips that we are able to read/write as we need but some of the boards have this particular flash 45e10svp and we are not able to read/write at all. At this point we just replace 45e10svp with the ones we are able to read/write , but unfortunately is getting harder to get supply them. It would be great to get the datasheet for 45e10svp or any information how to read/write. Thank You

Hello Everyone,I'm developing a WPF(.NET Framework) application in which i'm using the CR95HF.dll also I'm using the CR95HF Demo Board to read some ICs like M24LRxxE and ST25DVxxKI've made some readings using VB.NET since all the information I found is for VB. and it works fine for me because I've read some tags.Unfortunately my final application is based on C#, so my question is if there are some code samples or some docs that give instructions on how to use C# to make the connections.or how to declare those kind of functions to be able to work using C#Public Declare Function CR95HFDLL_USBconnect Lib "CR95HF.dll" () As LongPublic Declare Function CR95HFDll_Idn Lib "CR95HF.dll" (ByVal mystring As String) As LongPublic Declare Function CR95HFDll_SendReceive Lib "CR95HF.dll" (ByVal mycmdstring As String, ByVal mystring As String) As LongPublic Declare Function CR95HFDll_STCmd Lib "CR95HF.dll" (ByVal mycmdstring As String, ByVal mystring As String) As Long
