Solved

HelloI'm still very new to Touch GFXStill finding my way with programming in C++ as I'm more C based,The biggest drawback I’m finding is the TouchGFX design environment when laying out screens does not allow you to add objects (Widgets) as arrays (multiples of the same). Why on earth would this not have been implemented ??This approach allows for much more efficient and logical coding for controlling each widget in for loops etc.Is there any plan in the future to add this much needed option in the ToughGFX designer when laying out more complex screens of multiple objects / widgetsThank in advance for any info

Hi,I would like to know if it is possible to have the mutiplexed octospi in the microcontroller stm32h7b0rt6 as it mentionned in AN5050 in Figure 11cause when I tried to configure it using the CubeMx the CS pin for OCTOSPI2 is not found as it is mandatory to have such pin for the multiplexing mode managed by the internal hardware arbiter : Do we have a such feature in our microcontroller STM32H7b0rbt6 ??

I have a simple demo board with a STM32L451VET6, a SPI LCD and four switches. The board will send the first byte over SPI perfectly, then either during or right after sending the second byte - it appears the MCU shuts down - as the CS line drifts down to 0v and single stepping in the code it just stops stepping - no errors - no faults. This is a minimal program with just two lines added to the auto-generated code.Any Ideas ?

Hey Guys - more SPI issues!I have a new board with minimal connections - basically just SPI to a LCD and four pushbuttons. I created a new STM32 project in STM32cube.It is using a STM32F451VET6 with clock set to MSI RC 4000kHzI configured SPI in the IOC to :Full-duplex MasterHardware NSS Output SignalPB0 as SPI1_NSS,   PE13 as SPI1_CLK,   PE14 as SPI1_MISO,    PE15 as SPI_MOSIwith the below parameters : I added only a few lines to the auto-generated code for two variables and the SPI transmits ( below ).Stepping the program it will send the first byte fine. The next byte sends but the HAL_SPI_Transmit() call hangs forever on this line : /* Check the end of the transaction */if (SPI_EndRxTxTransaction(hspi, Timeout, tickstart) != HAL_OK){hspi->ErrorCode = HAL_SPI_ERROR_FLAG;} Here is the code from Main.c : int main(void){  /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */unsigned char On_Command = 0xAF;unsigned char Off_Command = 0xAE;   /* USER

Hello! I'm utilizing the STM32L476VCT6 in my project. Through the UART (PC4, PC5), this MCU interfaces with the Wi-Fi SoC. For firmware updates, I want to use this UART connectivity. But I notice that USART3 bootloader has dedicated PC10, PC11 pins. Could I use these PC4 and PC5 somehow?

Using both STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer; both fail to successfully program using the STLINK-V3MINIE. The part is IDs correctly and "Full chip erase" works without errors. I only get an error once I click the "Start Programming" button. Same board/programmer works correctly without error using openocd.STM32CubeProgrammer:09:35:53 : STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.14.0 | Windows-64Bits09:36:10:208 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode09:36:10:373 : ST-LINK SN : 0050003F343151193739333009:36:10:373 : ST-LINK FW : V3J13M409:36:10:374 : Board : STLINK-V3MINIE09:36:10:374 : Voltage : 1.79V09:36:10:374 : SWD freq : 50 KHz09:36:10:374 : Connect mode: Under Reset09:36:10:375 : Reset mode : Hardware reset09:36:10:375 : Device ID : 0x46009:36:10:375 : Revision ID : Rev B09:36:10:375 : Reading data...09:36:10:375 : r ap 0 @0x1FFF77DD 0x00000004 bytes Data 0xFFFFFFFF09:36:10:376 : Database: Config 0 is active.09:36:10:376 : flash loader C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronic

In document programmin manual, PM0253,  SHPR1-3 registers allow to set priority for following handlers:but Debug monitor writes to reserved field PRI_12:The same ambigious is in Cortex M4 and perhaps in all

I am using a STM32F411RE board, and cubeIDE.__HAL_RCC_TIM6_CLK_ENABLE(); macro from Drivers\STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver\Src\stm32f4xx_hal_timebase_tim_template.c is called in the function HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_InitTick(uint32_t TickPriority), however it isn't defined anywhere in the Github project of STM32CubeF4 ( https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF4 ).In the driver of STM32F0 serie, in stm32f0xx_hal_rcc_ex.h is, it is defined this way:```c#define RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN_Pos (4U)#define RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN_Msk (0x1U << RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN_Pos) /*!< 0x00000010 */#define RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN_Msk /*!< Timer 6 clock enable */#define __HAL_RCC_TIM6_CLK_ENABLE() do { \__IO uint32_t tmpreg; \SET_BIT(RCC->APB1ENR, RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN); \/* Delay after an RCC peripheral clock enabling */ \tmpreg = READ_BIT(RCC->APB1ENR, RCC_APB1ENR_TIM6EN); \UNUSED(tmpreg); \```So do we have to create this macro in stm32f4xx_hal.h which is imported at the beginning of stm32

Hello Developers,I am currently developing a low power solution incoperating STM32L4 controller and ST25DV04KC tags (8-pin package). We are using GPO interrupts for field change, FTM write/read operation notification. Now what i am looking for is a solution, where GPO interrupts will wake controller from STOP2 mode and perform nfc operation based on interrupt source. But at the same time i also want to put  ST25DV04KC tag in low power mode. Referring the ST2504KC datasheet, i know that i can Disable the RF Activity but that will also stop the GPO functionality. So can anyone suggest what are the best possible configurations for ST25DV04KC tag, such that GPO functionality of ST25DV tag doesn't get effected while it's in low power mode. Looking for a quick response. Thanks in advance.

1) Does ST make an NFC tag chip that has even one general-purpose, digital input detectable by the tag reader?2) Can a ST25DV04KC's energy harvesting really power up an 8-bit MPU long enough to take a sensor reading and write back via i2c? The MPU would need to run at 4-8MHz for a very short period of time.3) Is this i2c interface a "slave" only, or can it read an external i2c sensor under NFC reader control?4) Does this NFC family "play nice" w.r.t. (avoiding) collisions between, say, 4-5 other devices within the EM field, so the tag reader can read them all within approximately 100ms? (all identical ST NFC tags, of course).

Hello! I would like to know if I could connect my riverdi screen through expansion connector that provides with the external PHY LAN8720, or the only way is by PoE of riverdi. Can anyone provide some information about this? The datasheet of the screen has some headers which they have already init with protocols like I2C SPI CAN and e.t.c. Can I configure them for my purpose in order to connect with LAN8720?The screen name: RVT101HVSNWC00-B.The screen datasheet: https://riverdi.com/download/RVT101HVSNWC00-B/DS_RVT101HVSNWC00-B_Rev.1.4.pdfThe addon PoE from Riverdi : https://riverdi.com/product/stm32h7-poe-add-on.The reason that I am asking is because through CubeMX cant configure the pins as I want and also I already have this PHY (LAN8720).

I have an 8 bit parallel, 240x280 TFT display and was wondering:What's the difference between the "LCD parallel Interface" and the "LCD TFT Controller" under the "Display controller" section? Is there a significant difference in fps or processing consumption between an MCU with the LCD parallel Interface and an MCU with NO display controller? If so, what makes the performance difference significant? Thanks!

Hello,I'm working with the STM32WB in BLE mode.Cube generates the advertising time interval with these values:#define CFG_FAST_CONN_ADV_INTERVAL_MIN (0x80) /**< 80ms */#define CFG_FAST_CONN_ADV_INTERVAL_MAX (0xA0) /**< 100ms */Cube indicates that this is the maximum allowed. Nevertheless, the function aci_gap_set_discoverable() accepts value up to 0x4000. I tried with these values by overwritting the generated values and it seems that it works (verified with current and BLE sniffer)Is it a bug in Cube?

Hi All!I hope this is not too much of a dumb question, but does the M24SR64-Y NFC IC (on the b-l475e-iot01a evaluation board) support peer-to-peer NFC comms.?If it does, is there any library code to assist in this? The code in en.stm32cubel4_v1-18-0 doesn't seem to support p2p (or have I missed something?)Thanks.

Hi,When I flash a code that contain to start the motor (MC_StartMotor1) or press start on ST Motor Pilot, my motor doesn't manage to rotate on its own. It's like it is stuck and need help manually to finally be able to spin. Any idea what could be the issue and how to solve this?

Hi,I buy a new board L010RB, but it is labelled with classic strap "NUCLEO-L010RB" but there is one line after with is "NUL010RB$AU2". I had a couple of L010RB before but it's the first time i have such label on it.I'm wondering what is mean.Plus I'm having some trouble with SD card / SPI. The card mount, open & read correctly the file but when it writes, it seems that after a couple of writing, it cannot write again in it nor open a new. I'm using FatFS with a code that i used before, and i never had a FR_DISK_ERR after some write.Could it be linked to the weird label?

Hello ST community,I am designing a board with STM32MP135 CPU and DDR3L based from STM32MP135F-DK.DDR stress test passed successfully and tf-a files are adjusted to have I2C4 on pins used in my design (SCL on PB13 and SDA on PB7).When I flash board there is the following message in console (debug mode enabled):NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP135F Rev.Y NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board - openstlinux-5.15-y octo-kirkstone-mp1-v22.11.23 ERROR: nvmem node board_id not found INFO: PMIC version = 0x21 INFO: Reset reason (0x35): INFO: Power-on Reset (rst_por) INFO: FCONF: Reading TB_FW firmware configuration file from: 0x2ffe0000 INFO: FCONF: Reading firmware configuration information for: stm32mp_io INFO: Using USB INFO: Instance 2 INFO: Boot used partition fsbl1 NOTICE: BL2: v2.6-stm32mp1-r2.0(debug):v2.6-dirty(a1f02f4f) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 13:14:26, Nov 23 2021 INFO: BL2: Doing platform setup INFO: RAM: DDR3-DDR3L 16bits 400000kHz ERROR: DDR expected freq 400000 kHz, current

I have learned that the energy of the EH pin of ST25 is too small to meet the needs of the project. Can I use Qi wireless energy collection to solve the problem of energy collection and realize the transmission of sensor signals to the reader without power?

Hello, when referencing a position control with a new custom hardware, there is a short circuit of the power supply at the beginning of the referencing. The STM32 G4 with the MCSDK 5.4.8 is used. The setup already ran on a first own board so that the parameters worked so far. Only a new gate driver with integrated current amplifier was used. The assumption is a faulty current amplification. The TI DRV8304H is used and the circuit is designed regarding to the reference design. Is the internal amplifier circuit compatible with the MCSDK at all? If there is any experience, I would be very pleased about. Thanks

STM32G030 datasheet indicates BOOT0 is PA14-BOOT0 and that SWDIO is PA13 and SWDCLK is PA14-BOOT0.Upon power up, how does the STM32G030 know whether PA14-BOOT0 is controlling whether to enter bootloader mode or is SWDCLK?Since STM32G030 has no JTAG capability, SWD appears to be the only alternative, and if SWD is connected on PA13 and PA14-BOOT0 does that mean PA14-BOOT0 cannot be used for bootloader purposes?

HiHow can we define separate frequency for open drain and push pull modes for I3C communication ?In the documentation only the low phase is mentioned but for high phase there's no separate option for OD & PP modes. Ideally I would like to do something like this <Context> I am working with  STM32H5RB03 as the controller and a MEMS sensor as the target. I want to do I3C communication at 12.5Mhz but the initial OD phase should have much lower frequency(<2Mhz) in order for the sensor to ACK(respond). I'm a newbie so might make basic mistakes while formulating my question, please ask if you need more clarity.

I'm trying to port a UART driver from aurdino to STM32. Able to relate all interfaces for aurdino vs STM32 while can't able to map ones for the followingserial.peek()serial.flush()Does HAL have an direct interface as peek() to get the next byte of incoming serial data?

Hi, I have bought a NUCLEO-F756ZG board to explore the F7 controller.I need the schematic to work with it. In the manual:https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/um1974-stm32-nucleo144-boards-mb1137-stmicroelectronics.pdfThere is only a note on page 82, that the schematic has been removed in Aug 2020.Where can I find the schematic now? Or how can I access the old manual that contains the schematic?

Hello,I have update a CubeMX project from V6.6.1 to V6.7.0.After update, without any changes, the clock configuration has a lot of errors. The CPU has a maximum clock rate from 480MHz, but the new CubeMX V6.7.0 allow only 200MHz!?!The Error:"D1CPRE Clock frequency must by <= 200MHz"Attachment: The Clock configuration and a lot of red fields. Please fix this problem and help me what is going wrong. Thank you very much.

Hi Folks,Just received the STM32F769I-Disco Discovery board. I made sure the that the CN3 jumper was on the STLK position. When I plugged in the USB connector nothing happens on the screen it stays black.I found a previous post dated 2023-07-06 10:07 AM "Brand new STM32F769I-DISCO board showing black screen"This user seems to have had my exact problem. Not sure why these boards are being shipped blank.I followed the instructions that Aime (ST employee) suggested. I downloaded the compiled demo "STM32769I-DISCO_DEMO_V1.0.0_FULL.hex" and using the STM32CubeProgrammer I think I loaded it onto the board. I say "I think" because when I reset the board the backlight turns on and "life.augmented" shows up at the bottom of the screen but that's it, nothing else. The only thing I can think of that I did wrong is maybe I didn't load the file at the proper address? What is the correct address? Is there something else I can try?And my board had the same test sticker as the Wol (the other user with
