When I try to add USB_OTG_FS (host only) to a project which uses FreeRTOS the code locks up on initialisation of USB_OTG_FS. When USB OTG FS is added, a call to "MX_USB_OTG_FS_HCD_Init" is added to "main" function. It goes before a call to "osKernelStart()". During initialisation HAL_Delay is called, and the code locks up on that.The path looks like this: MX_USB_OTG_FS_HCD_Init >> HAL_HCD_Init >> USB_SetCurrentMode >> HAL_Delay(1U)And that is where it locks up.If I comment out the call to "MX_USB_OTG_FS_HCD_Init" the rest works fine. If I put "HAL_Delay" in one of FreeRTOS threads, that works as expected (presumably due to OS being fully functional by that point). If I put "HAL_Delay" just before a call to "osKernelStart()" - it locks up.It seems that HAL_Delay cannot be called before the call to osKernelStart, and the auto-generated code for initialisation of USB is doing exactly that.Is it a bug or I am missing something? What would you recommend?

STM32H7 SeriesI am trying to use CoreMark performance measurement for STM32H747. This YouTube video "STM32F7 workshop: 02.10 Cortex M7 core - Hands-on #4, coremark" indicates a web link to download, but it is no longer available.Is there a way to download CoreMark performance code for STM32H7?

Hello,We are looking at using a STM32F405 in our power design LLC/PFC where we would need 4 complementary signals. 2 for the LLC and 2 for the PFC.Looking at the reference manual I see the following:17.3.11 Complementary outputs and dead-time insertionThe advanced-control timers (TIM1 and TIM8) can output two complementary signals andmanage the switching-off and the switching-on instants of the outputs.So, it looks like for this part there is only the two complementary signals on TIM1 and TIM8?Thanks for any insight.Brent

Hello I am trying to use the new X-CUBE-MCSDK 6.1 but can not find the STEVAL-ESC001V1 device in the listed power or control section when I am trying to start a new project. Is this device not supported or am I missing something?Thanks

HiI would like fade-in and fade-out of widget text, using a single button ,is possible?How I can do?Thank

I want to use the flux weakening in my project using Workbench 6.2 i generated the code using the below settingwhen i select the speed control mode i can see the tab to select the Flux Weakening regulator.But when i select the torque control mode The tab for the flux weakening regulator does not appear. I know the flux weakening regulator is used to increase speed. The code for flux weakening does not generate in Torque control mode. So can i use the flux weakening code in torque control mode or not? Can i use the negative Id to increase the speed limit. My idea is a. generate the code for flux weakening using the speed control mode.b. integrate the code.c. Use the torque control mode and give negative Id.Does it work like this? Please help.

Using CubeMX I try to configure USART6 clock for STM32U5A9ZJT6-Q.It seems that CubeMX allows to set clock source for USART1-3, but not USART6.Am I missing something or it is a CubeMX bug.

Hello,I am trying to use the MC SDK v6.2.0 for controlling a PMSM and I wish to control the motor through my host PC with uart protocolI have got below document which is for SDK v4.3.Can you please share similar user manual for SDK v6.2.0Can you also share references to read the encoder angle and speed control

Good morning, I am trying to read from adc two signals by first saving the signal with a certain clock frequency and then changing it using another one, i.e. changing the AHB clock divider. Going to debug it crashes on hard fault handler, regardless of the clock change but even trying to do two buffer reads and moving them to other variables it can't get into the second switch case. Any ideas? Thanks in advance   CODE while (1) { u++; switch(u) { case 1: //SystemClock_ConfigDOWN(); for(i=0;i<ADC_BUF_SIZE/2;i++) { buf1[i] = (uint16_t)(adcBuf[i]&0x0000FFFF); buf2[i] = (uint16_t)(adcBuf[i]>>16); }   break;   case 2: //SystemClock_ConfigUP();     for(i=0;i<ADC_BUF_SIZE/2;i++) { buf3[i] = (uint16_t)(adcBuf[i]&0x0000FFFF); buf4[i] = (uint16_t)(adcBuf[i]>>16); }     break;     default: __NOP();   }   return 0; }

Hi,I am using NUCLEO stm32f030r8 to communicate with LIS3DH accelerometer, connection is in such a way thatvcc - 3v3GND - GNDSCL/D15 - SCLSDA/D14 - SDAI want to read from who iam i register 0x0F, we use sparkfun board hence we checked SDO pin is giving 3v3so the dev_addr is given 0x19it get stuck in the line HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c1, dev_addr, reg_adr, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, &who_am_i, 1, HAL_MAX_DELAY); it means something is not correct kindly help me to solve the issuecode :   uint8_t dev_addr = 0x19<<1; static void MX_I2C1_Init(void){   /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END I2C1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN I2C1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END I2C1_Init 1 */  hi2c1.Instance = I2C1;  hi2c1.Init.Timing = 0x2000090E; //0x0x00707CBB  hi2c1.Init.OwnAddress1 = 0;  hi2c1.Init.AddressingMode = I2C_ADDRESSINGMODE_7BIT;  hi2c1.Init.DualAddressMode = I2C_DUALADDRESS_DISABLE;&nbsp

Hi,Currently, I am working on a project where we need to transfer data from PC to uC (STM32L4 series) at a high rate (real-time application). So, we have decided to use USB 2.0. First, we tried the communication device class, but it wasn't fast enough. So, now we are trying using the audio device class (also because of synchronization). I am using STM32CubeMX to initialize the discovery kit with STM32L4R9AI as a USB device with audio device class. I have generated the code, made no changes to it, and simply flashed the code and connected the USB in the hope that it will be recognized as an audio device (I have shared the *code as a zip file). But in device manager, it is always shown as a virtual COM port. I can't understand if it is a driver problem on the PC side or if the error lies on the uC side. I have tried uninstalling the device in device manager and again plugging in. But nothing works. I am also finding difficulties in with the documentation(couldn't find proper documentatio

I try implementing FOC for Bull Running BLDC motor with F302R8 Nucleo board and IHM07MI expansion board.Help me in this regard.

Hello all,does the vl53l5cx ULD API (STSW-IMG023) can expose  a unique device ID for the VL53L5CX ? Something similar to the VL51L1 API function call "VL53L1_Error VL53L1_GetUID(VL53L1_DEV Dev, uint64_t *pUid)"  in the driver SWSW-IMG019 ? Kind regards

I'm currently using the STM32 board B-U585I-IOT2A. The BLE module is working as BLE Server, and I want to transmit data.So, using BLE_NOTIF_VAL as explained here (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WB_AT_Server), I can send 1 or 2 values maximum, and it's working, I can get back these values on the app ST BLE Toolbox.But, if I want to send 3 uint8_t values at the same time, it's not working anymore and any values are sent. And I would like to understand why and how to solve it. Because the buffer that the STM32 board can send to the Client is 64 uint8_t values. For exemple, I can send data through BLE_NOTIF_VAL1, and I receive x01x02. But, with BLE_NOTIF_VAL2, I receive x00x00.  Thank you for your help

I use STM32H745xi discovery board. When i do some test, i download code that Cortex-m7 will enter standby mode after power on 3 seconds. And i set wrong wakeup pin(wakeup pin 1&not config PA0, it should be wakeu4). After power off and power on, i find that it can't recognize the mcu through ST-LINK though i try RST pin. I dont understand why RST pin not work.Pls help to save the board,thx.  code: MX_GPIO_Init();HAL_Delay(3000);HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(PWR_WAKEUP_PIN1);while (1){HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOJ,4);HAL_Delay(500);}

Hello,I am using the STM32F107VCT6 microcontroller and, under normal circumstances, it works flawlessly. However, I have been encountering an issue where data in a specific memory area becomes corrupted when I toggle the nRESET pin at 2-3 second intervals. I would like some advice on how to resolve this problem or identify its root cause.Any guidance or suggestions on addressing this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.Best regards,

Hi，I am working with  STM32H5RBT6U：How do I calculate the frequency of the I3C Controller? Is there documentation to cover the content?I tried using CubeMX to set the frequency, but strangely, all the frequencies work fine except 3~5MHz. The exception is that at this rate setting, the controller can only send out the reserved byte waveform, and subsequent clock signals will not be generated normally

Working with the RTC I'm having some issue with the callback only being called a single time. void HAL_RTC_AlarmAEventCallback(RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc) { RTC_AlarmTypeDef sAlarm; uint32_t hobb_time; __HAL_RTC_ALARM_CLEAR_FLAG(hrtc, RTC_FLAG_ALRAF); // Does not seem to change the ISR register hobb_time = HAL_RTCEx_BKUPRead(hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR1); // Write the new hobbs incremented value to backup register HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); HAL_RTCEx_BKUPWrite(hrtc, RTC_BKP_DR1, ++hobb_time); HAL_PWR_DisableBkUpAccess(); HAL_RTC_GetAlarm(hrtc, &sAlarm, RTC_ALARM_A, FORMAT_BIN); if(sAlarm.AlarmTime.Minutes > 58) { sAlarm.AlarmTime.Minutes = 0; } else { sAlarm.AlarmTime.Minutes = sAlarm.AlarmTime.Minutes + 1; } while(HAL_RTC_SetAlarm_IT(hrtc, &sAlarm, RTC_FORMAT_BIN) != HAL_OK){} } I have the alarm being triggered every 1 minute. I can see the alarmA flag and try to clear it with this macro: __HAL_RTC_ALARM_CLEAR_FLAG(hrtc, RTC_FLAG_ALRAF);But the ISR

Hello All,Goodday! Iam trying to configure the STM32G431RB with Cube, getting warnings when ADC-IN selected in some of the pins, and the same warnings get cleared if selected with GPIO_Analog option too. Can anyone explain please.

HiI am currently working a lot with TouchGFX 4.22.1 Desinger to develop an interface for the development board STM32f4-discovery. Here I create the project in the program TouchGFX and then edit the code in the programming interface STM32CUBE IDE 1.13.2. But the projects are always created with the project name STM32F46I-DISCO-REV-AU1 and I remove the old project from the workspace at each project change to insert the new project (which unfortunately has the same name). Is it possible to change or customize the project name in the STM32CUBE IDE interface? Thanks for the help

Hi, I'm using the STM32F429 Discovery Kit and i want to run the LTDC in 8 BPP (L8) mode in TouchGFX.I find that i can use DMA2D to transform into RGB565,but how can i use L8 format in TouchGFX.and i can't set DMA2D in TouchGFX.so how can i do it ??Thank you.Best Regards

This might be a really stupid question but I recently downloaded RM0090 revision.19 for reference in use of timers in STM32F407IGT6.But I have noticed some diffrences from old reference manual & I can't find revision history for that. Old revision of this refrence manual I had refers TIMx_SMCR's SMS bits as001 : Encoder mode 1 - counter counts up/down on TI2FP2 edge depending on TI1FP1 level.010 : Encoder mode 2 - counter counts up/down on TI1FP1 edge depending on TI2FP2 level.but revision.19 refers TIMx_SMCR's SMS bits as001: Encoder mode 1 - Counter counts up/down on TI2FP1 edge depending on TI1FP2 level.010: Encoder mode 2 - Counter counts up/down on TI1FP2 edge depending on TI2FP1 level. Has there been some changes to TIMx_SMCR in STM32F407 series?Can anyone tell me which one is correct description? SMS bits description in old revision.Current revision(19)'s description of SMS bits.

We started using the L series of the ST Micro for a project and found that it does not have CORDIC functions. What is the best way forward? Do we need to implement on our own? Or we have to migrate to G4 series.

Hi,The ST4485EB IC mentions that it needs a 3v3 supply. How can we ensure that the A and B lines interoperate with other RS485 devices working at a 5V logic level as the datasheet mentions . Should I just provide 5V supply to this chip so that it interoperates? Will that be ok as the datasheet says the max Vcc is rated to be 7V.Regards,Nilav
