Hello,I have a .png image that I'm using in the TouchGFX GUI (utilizing the STM32H725AGI6), which I have fully integrated with the display and working. That image is going to dynamically change based on a specific value received from the code (0-100%). When it's 100%, the entire image is showing. When the value is 50%, the left half of the image is revealed and the right half will not be shown. When the value is 0%, the image is not showing. I was previously using a black box that was on a layer higher than the image and had it slowly cover it, but now I have a real background image and not a black box, so that is no longer feasible. Is there a way to dynamically define how much of the image is drawn? Something similar to the image below.

Hi, I was reading the document "DS13867 Rev 3" (datasheet for STM32C031x4/x6) (https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32c031c6.pdf), and while searching about pin PF3, I found this strange information saying that it is a "Supply" pin type. I've tested this pin as GPIO Output on my Nucleo Board and it's working fine for me.

Hi Team, I am working on DDR3L batch simulation in Hyperlynx with STM32MP131 series processor. While assigning the appropriate ODT models, I am getting some errors with respect to IBIS model. So please help me in rectifying the issuesPFA error log as wellAlso, currently I am using STM32MP135 series IBIS file for STM32MP131 I could not find the proper IBIS file. If any IBIS is there for STM32MP131 please do share that as well Warm Regards,Mythili B

I am stuck dont know what i am doing is wrong ... have been stuck for 2-3 days whenever i debug it just stops (not end just that debug arrow disappears and dont move forward) after HAL_UART_Transmit_IT() in int main(). #include <stdint.h>#include "stm32f4xx_hal.h"#include <string.h>#include <stdio.h>/** BOARD INFO :-** USART 1* USART_TX - PA9 AF7* USART_RX - PA10 AF7** */#if !defined(__SOFT_FP__) && defined(__ARM_FP)#warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. I have a product using a STM32H745ZIT that has an input signal connected to TIM1 ETR and in the normal case, an edge on the ETR using slave mode trigger results in a one pulse pwm output a set time later driven on TIM1 CH1 and TIM1 CH2.  A new use case came up where it is desirable to duplicate TIM1 ETR onto one of the TIM1 CH pins that duplicates both the edges and pulse length of the ETR signal with no time shift.Looking over the reference manual it isn't obvious that I can do this, maybe using trigger out or break there is a way.  Is there anybody knowledgeable with the working of TIM1 and ETR that can suggest where to look?

I attach examples and unselected examples of the "Do not generate the main" option of the Application Structure in the Project Manger of STM32CubeMX.In both cases, when TrueStudio is compiled, an error occurs in startup_stm32f769xx.s in the "startup" folder. The error is "undefined reference to 'main'".It is an error that "main" is not defined in "bl main" command.I want to know how to fix this error.

Dear admin,I would like to know which process technology (?nm) of STM32L4R9I-EVAL evaluation board.I've checked the user manual but not having this information. Thanks  & Best Regards

Hello,I bought 2 NUCLEO-WL55JC1 to send and receive some data.I used example code in Lora which work very well (SubGHz_Phy_PingPong).My problem is to use VHF (156.8750Hz).I modify the code (RF_FREQUENCY, FSK_FDEV, FSK_DATARATE, FSK_BANDWIDTH, USE_MODEM_LORA = 0 and USE_MODEM_FSK = 1).I change my antenna for a DELTA12/x/SMAM/S/S/17 for my 2 nucleo. The 2 boards still communicate. Now, I also have to change the hardware according to the Application note AN5457.Unfortunately, there is no information to change my hardware (only for L6 (160 nH) but nothing for the equivalent circuit). Anyone knows which value I can attribuate for each component of the network (figure 26) in order to optimize the consumtion and the power of my 2 boards?Thank you,

I did the steps below:1. Use Motor Control WorkBench to create and configure my eval board with motor characteristics with its HAL sensors2. Used CubeMX to generate the project3. Opened the generated project in CubeIDE and tried to buildI have not touched the code or anything just wanted to see if I could build the code then I am getting an error stating:C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.13.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.win32_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: Dribbler Motor.elf section `.data' will not fit in region `FLASH'C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.13.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.win32_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: region `FLASH' overflowed by 160 bytesI tried looking into the build analyzer and nothing is showing up in the build analyzerI was wonde

Hi,I am using the STM32H573 and GCC Version 7 in CubeIDE (MS Windows) for device debugging. For debugging I am using:- STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.stlink-gdb-server.win32_2.1.0.202305091550\tools\bin\ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe- GNU Tools ARM Embedded\7 2018-q2-update\bin\arm-none-eabi-gdb.exeNow I am facing the problem that I do not see the SFRs (Menu: Window->Show View).I configured the CMSIS-SVD Settings as following:STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.productdb.debug_2.1.0.202306151215\resources\cmsis\STMicroelectronics_CMSIS_SVD\STM32H573.svdThis is included as "Device file" and "Custom file". Although I do not see any SFRs.Can anyone help ?

Hi guys,These days I already know how to generate the AI model named libneai.a(also including the NanoEdgeAI.h) by NanoEdge AI Studio. But I don't know how to use it, I try to import it to MDK, but MDK always has a compiler error. Is there some information about "How to do an AI demo from scratch"?And one more thing, Can I valide the AI model(libneai.a) created by NanoEdgeAI at windows or linux platform? Thanks!

Hi there,I have a custom board based on STM32MP157F, with USB2 connected to STM32CubeProgrammer for flashing the eMMC. No USB-ID, no USB-VBUS connected. The STM32CubeProgrammer downloads the FSBL and U-Boot, but the software does not reconnect as "USB download gadget", it starts again. I believe the problem is related to the following, but not sure.We have tried quite a few things in the u-boot dts and dtsi, but nothing gets it working as it should be.I appreciate any help, thanks.

Hi,In my project, I have an epaper screen driven by TouchGFX (4.22.0), Bluetooth and I try to manage the solution with the sequencer.Without the sequencer and bluetooth, the epaper works fine.I follow this solution Howto combine TouchGFX and WPAN BLE ? to manage TouchGFX, WPAN & sequencer all together. But I never go in the function "touchgfx_taskEntry". Did I miss something ?Edit :I follow the code step by step.During the initialisation, I see the task "shci_user_evt_proc" is well register in TaskCb by the function UTIL_SEQ_RegTask.But when I arrive at "UTIL_SEQ_RegTask(1 << CFG_TASK_SYSTEM_GFX_ID, UTIL_SEQ_RFU, touchgfx_taskEntry);", I don't go in UTIL_SEQ_Task. The execution go directly to startup_stm32wb.s at line 128 : Infinite_Loop:Edit2:I found that if I comment the "TL_Enable()" function in appe_Tl_Init(), I could register the task CFG_TASK_SYSTEM_GFX_ID.But I never go in the touchgfx_taskEntry() function anyway.Edit3:Ok, I found why it didn't work

Bonjour,I'm currently prototyping with a H735-DK and a H723-Nucleo.From pinout to functionality I have "separated" the differences with preprocessor declarations, so that's working.Right now I get the same *.bin file name and have to rename it manually. Now I would like to improve the workflow even more, so that STM32CubeIDE somehow detects that definition (or I add / change it in the project properties) and names the output files accordingly. Is that possible? If yes, how? Thanks in advance!

Hi,1. In DS13560 selection 4 page 42, what is different between the GP and N versions?Best, Dalik LIM

Hello ST community,I am using Nucleo STM32F446RE Board wanted to learn CAN protocol in Normal mode but i did not get any working code can you please help me to get the example code of CAN in normal mode. Thanks a lot.

Hi, I want to use UART with DMA on my STM32F407 MCU. I would expect that it would trigger `HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback` interrupt on transfer complete, but it does not do that. I tried many different configurations in STM32CubeMX:enabling "USART2 global interrupt"enabling DMA "Circular mode"enabling "Use FIFO" "Threshold Full"But still interrupt is not triggering. Why? And how to I make it to trigger?(also I would prefer using DMA in "normal mode" as I need to send messages one by one)

Hello,Could somebody explain what is the purpose of this second line of code below taken from main.c in TouchGFX example for STM32HB3I-DK?:SDRAM_Initialization_Sequence(&hsdram1, &command);*(__IO uint32_t*)(0xD0000000) = 0x11111122;It works fine with provided example but my program (set up from scratch in CubeMX) is going to mem fault on this line. When I comment this line out my program works fine. D0000000 is start of address of external SDRAM. Is it something to do with testing speculative memory access? I know nothing about it.

I am assuming this is a Windows driver issue, but I do not know how to resolve it. I use several Nucleo boards. Additionally, I use some USB ST-Link programmers. These programmers always show up with a single letter serial number: A, B,C, D.Using Keil ARM, I can often click around and get them to work (program)But with STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeProgrammer they always show up as a single letter and the software refuses to use them. For instance CubeProgrammer: Does anyone know the path to resolution for this problem?

LWIP/ V6.5.0. STMH32H735_DISCO (https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples) .Rx_PoolSection. (former .RxArraySection) seems not to be guarded by the MPU against cache coherency issues. Is this the right way? I have compared 2 STMH32H735_DISCO_Eth examples, one built under cube IDE V6.2.1 and a more recent one built with IDE V6.5.0. (thanks to @pavel A.  for providing the reference to the new examples on GIT).The V6.5.0. example  moved the Rx_PoolSection/RxArraySection from AHB D2 RAM to AXI D1 RAM. The MPU configuration in the example seems not to protect the Rx_PoolSection/RxArraySection area from cache coherency problems any more. Can such a protection be omitted and if so why?  I made a very detailed .doc describing in detail my findings, it is attached to this post.

I have a compilation error when I switch from debug mode to release mode, as showed in the pic below:What did I miss?

Hi,Probably a dump question but wanted to make sure I got it right. On a STM32 MCU, lets sayPB0/PB1 (scl/sda) have AF4 as I2C1PB5/PB6 (scl/sda) have AF4 as I2C1If I configure all PB0/PB1/PB5/PB6 to use AF4 as I2C1,Enabling/reading/writing on I2C1 works as expected as long as the slave devices on (PB0PB1 and PB5PB6) have different addresses?Or should we only have one set of pins (PB0PB1 or PB5PB6) configured to use I2C1 ?Thank you.

I have a STM32F407 with an SD card wired in 4-bytes mode and FATFS middleware to manage the files.I upgraded to STM32CubeIDE 1.11 two weeks ago, but since then the SD card stopped working. The initialization fails in the SD_WideBus_Enable function, since scr[1] is read as 0 (file stm32f4xx_hal_sd.c).I noticed that this behavior disappears when I set hsd.Init.BusWide = SDIO_BUS_WIDE_1B in MX_SDIO_SD_Init (file sdio.c). This, however, was changed in SDIO_BUS_WIDE_4B in the newer version of the IDE, breaking the functionality.I was not able to check whether the SD actually works in 4-bits mode when initialized to SDIO_BUS_WIDE_1B, but I think so, since the HAL_SD_ConfigWideBusOperation gets called with 4 bytes. So, is it correct to continue using SDIO_BUS_WIDE_1B? If so, how can I preserve it, since every time I let Cube to generate the files the modification gets overwritten?

Hello,Im new to this and im stuck on 2 things i generated a code from the motorcontrol workbench and im using a Nucleo 64 f030R8 with a IHM07M1A BLDC Motor controller. i can start the motor and control speed. 1st question : where can i change direction because the motor is rotating always the same direction CCW and i also want the motor to turn CW.2nd question : i needed to insert the motor parameters in the workbench but cant find these back in the IDE software maybe someone knows where to find this.Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to receiving your response.

Hello? If you just build from the Device Configuration Tool(*.ioc), an error will occur as shown in the picture below.(MCU: STM32F730, File:usbd_conf.c) The functions that enable clocking and the functions that enable ULPI clocking already exist above (line 116) and below (line 118), but they are incompletely mixed in the middle line, creating errors every time.Because of this, the current situation is that I have to delete or comment it out every time. I would like to ask how to get rid of it from the beginning.Thank you for reading.
