I wonder if there is any ST solution on charging a batterypack that already uses the BMS63EN? So that these two could work together in terms of powercontrol. Or is it maybe easier to implement than I think?

I am looking for an onboarding on the Autodevkit intended RTOS. Which is it? I am a bit confused, Chibi or FreeRTOS? And how do I set it up? Maybe there is a walk through AN/UM available?

We are providing power to our Customised Microcontroller (STM#@ C series) board from my power supply@3.3v. we are using STLINK-V3SET with MB1440 adapter, it is an extension board provided by ST. We have connected 3 PINS GND, SWDIO(PA13), SWDCLK(PA14) from CN6(connector 6) of extension MB1440 board. to our microcontroller board. Getting above error. NOTE: Clock used is internal & pinout as follows:   a) Is T_Vcc an i/p pin? Do we need to give input 3.3v from my microcontroller board to Debugger connector's CN6 T-VCC pin. When we checked no voltage is present on CN6 T_VCC pin. (We are powering microcontroller board from external power supply, because 3.3v is not present on STLINK/V3 extension MB1440 board. b) Do we need to connect NRST pin of CN6 extension MB1440 board to the Microcontroller board . We checked, its remaining high @3.3v on microcontroller board. Thanks.

I have an stm32f407g.In the reference manual (in the ADC section) I found several terms I am afraid I have confused between them.I would like to explain my reasoning with an example and get your feedback if I said something wrong. -------------------------------------------------EXAMPLE (points are in order!)---------------------------------------------------------------Suppose I need to sample a signal and I need a Tsample = 166.6 usI need to tell the ADC to sample with that Tsample, however, I need to convert it to cycles:With some approximation I find 480 cycles --> Tsample = 192us (a little different from 166us but it's okay)EDIT: I have to take into account that the datasheet says that Tconv = Tsample + 12 cycles          so actually ADC takes Tconv = 480 + 12 cycles = 492 cycles = 196.8us .. not 192us                              1a) Are these calculatio

Hello everyone,I'm trying to set up VREFBUF as an internal reference at 2.5V, but the configuration isn't working. I've seen there were issues with this (VREFBUF Enable Problem - STMicroelectronics Community), but even after rearranging the function 'HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_IMPEDANCE_DISABLE);', it doesn't work properly. I'm using the STM32WLE5JC on the 'Lora E5 mini' development board. Here is my code:void HAL_MspInit(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN MspInit 0 */HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_IMPEDANCE_DISABLE);/* USER CODE END MspInit 0 */ /* System interrupt init*/ /** Configure the internal voltage reference buffer voltage scale*/HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_VoltageScalingConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_VOLTAGE_SCALE1); /** Enable the Internal Voltage Reference buffer*/HAL_SYSCFG_EnableVREFBUF(); /** Configure the internal voltage reference buffer high impedance mode*/HAL_SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HighImpedanceConfig(SYSCFG_VREFBUF_HIGH_I

Hi, I'm using stm32f429 disc1 adc1 PA4 and GND to get the ADC signal, the voltage of the signal is 300 mV. The signal that I'm getting after conversion has some noise, But the same signal when seen through an oscilloscope has no noise. The noise or distortions are getting generated once I connect to the pins of the powered-on board.

Hi,if i select in MX "List Pinout Compatible MCUs"i get this:Sometimes STM32CubeIDE closes without warning.i reintalled the ide, i delete the workspace, i restart the pc, nothing helps! i change in the properties from external bowser (chrome) to internal, nothing.Any suggestions?Padawan

Hi, I got a small problem while configuring timers in NUCLEO-F072RB board. I want to configure one timer for 1ms and another for 1sec, Could you please explain me how to set the prescaler and period(ARR) values of both the timers. My HCLK is 48MHz.

We are planning on using a NFC antenna with a 50 Ohm UFL connector. Does ST have any examples of matching their device output to 50 Ohms for this type of antenna?Would we use a single-ended output instead of the differential output? What would be the impact in terms of signal strength or read distance. Would the power be reduced by 50%?

I'd like to make nfcPoller interrupt driven. I've tried registering a callback so that exampleRfalPollerRun() gets called on interrupts but that didn't seem to do anything. I've also tried a simple loop that does this: ret = gpio_init(); if(ret != ERR_NONE) goto error; ret = spi_init(); if(ret != ERR_NONE) goto error; ret = interrupt_init(); if (ret != ERR_NONE) goto error; rfalAnalogConfigInitialize(); rfalInitialize(); rfalWakeUpModeStart(NULL); for(;;) { rfalWorker(); if ( rfalWakeUpModeHasWoke() ) { printf("Awakened\n"); rfalWakeUpModeStop(); sleep(1); rfalWakeUpModeStart(NULL); } }But I don't get the awakened message. In any event, this isn't really interrupt driven anyway since I'm just spinning in a tighter loop. I'd like to be able to poll() on the interrupt line, as is done in pltf_gpio.c:pthread_func(). If I just call my own callback in that function I don't see the wake-up interrupt, suggesting I'm either not using the API correctly or it's not wor

Hello,When I study code of TIM_InputCapture example in NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q, I am confused about the Clock sourece configuration of TIM1 as following shows:why do you choose "disable" rather than "Internal Clock"?thank you!

Good Morning,I am the proud possessor of a Nucelo 746ZG board that has served me well since it has been given to me.Unfortunately for ther last week the Nucleo has a text file with inside the string "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU", the red led LD5 is on (over-current allarm, according to the manual) and there neither way to copy a file on it nor to make the CUBE program connect to it (long story short: if anything does not come on, I have smoked it).I really like this type of board, with support for ADC/DAC/PWM and that have the possiblity to use Ethernet/USB Host and a lot of perypherals. But from the 2019 I believe the World has probably keep evolving and so there could be more interesting board which can replace my loved one. ST sent me a mail informing there are sales until 24/11.What could be an interesting board to substitute the F746ZG one with?Thank you a lot for your time and your suggestions,Marco M.

Hi everyone,I am trying to implement a system that counts pulses that can be as narrow as 20 nanoseconds using an STM32F746 MCU clocked at its max 216MHz.The first thought was: "Can such narrow pulse even be detected by the MCU?"To confirm, and inspired by this query: "minimum-pulse-width-sensed-by-the-gpio-of-the-stm32", I grabbed the datasheet and looked for "tEXTIpw" which for the STM32F746 is 10ns. So, looks we are fine here. Then the implementation approach: Use a timer to count the rising edges of each pulse. "But which Timer?" Since the STM32f746 has two APB buses with different max clock frequencies, I thought: "Lets use a timer hanging on the APB with the higher frequency so that the timer can sample the pulse line at a higher rate" But then the real noob doubt kicked in: "Is a timer clock frequency even relevant for input edge detection?"I can imagine two possible answers:Yes, the timer clock freq. is relevant. And for the timer is clocked at 216MHz one ca

Question 1: When I make the mcanconf like described in AN the second mcanconf is named exact the same, it does not autoincrement to mcanconf1 as it is in the example. Is that important? Or how/when do I link a certain mcanconf to a subsystem? They must be linked somehow, or? (My mcanconf1 also does not work when I set it up myself, that's why I ask) Question 2: The code looks like this:returnvalue = can_lld_transmit(&CAND2, CAN_ANY_TXBUFFER, &txf);osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(1); if (returnvalue != CAN_MSG_OK) { for (;;) { } }So if I have a error on my CAN transmission the program will be endlessly trapped in the for loop?Isn´t the automatic resending of invalid frames/messages handled by the transceiver? Or does it have to be taken care of here in the sending call? Or is this just an example for loop that should throw an error? -> I thought of handling that one with the error callback.  Question 3: Maybe the answer is already in Q2 but, hav

Hi To what does the revision code correspond?I have not found any clear answer in the documentation.Does a new revision replace the previous one? if so how to know which one is the most recent.

Hello, first of I must state that this is a bare metal project. If bare metal is not your thing then please do not read on. I only use parts of the CMSIS but no HAL and no LL.I have a strange effect when using I2C1 bus with DMA and USART1 with receiver interrupt. Maybe someone can shine some light on this. So my USART1 is set up correctly for 115200 8E1 communication. Transmitting and receiving works in polled mode and with receive interrupt. Also the I2C bus is set up correct and transmitts as it should. When I now initialize the I2C1 DMA to transmit BEFORE initializing the USART, the USART receive interrupt works. If the I2C1 DMA is setup (and fired) AFTER the USART is initialized, the USART interrupt does not work. As if the I2C DMA somehow disables the USART interrupt. I have tracked the problem down to the starting the DMA. Just initializing the I2C does not disable the interrupt. The defines for bitx should be self explanatory. This is the I2C init code: RCC-&gt

Hello colleagues,I'm trying to read out the MCU temperature on my Nucoleo-32 board and all I get are weird values...I am using ADC1 and I have activated "Temperature Sensor Channel". My MCU is running at 144 MHz. ADC runs at 36MHz.Here is my ADC Init function:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */ ADC_MultiModeTypeDef multimode = {0}; ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 1 */ /** Common config */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.GainCompensation = 0; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = ENABLE; hadc1.Init.NbrOfConversion = 5; hadc1.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Ini

Hello, I am trying to write something on the I2C bus to a digital potineometer using the STM32F469I-DISCO board but I get no result, even no response from the device and its like there is no device connected on the bus. I tried the same potineometer on another board without display, STM-Neuclo board, and everything is ok as expected. The only I2C1 interface is on the Arduino connector of the board and I am using the HAL library with the Master_Trasmit function in blocking mode. I also tried to block all the connections of the LCD display and the bus was no longer busy, but there was no result either (ITs write nothing)!         if (HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1, PotiAdr, 2, 100) == HAL_OK)         This function always returns HAL_Error, meaning that there is no successful connection with the bus. I have read the reference manual of the board and there is nothing special to do. Anyone have an idea about this problem? Note: I am using TouchGFX a

Hello all,I currently have to deal with a display which has an inactive zone in the middle. Its "interface" resolution is 540x1280px, but the 140px columns in the middle are not connected to the screen. That is, the display is of 400x1280px of resolution but the whole 540 columns have to be provided through its interface. In order to display a 400x1280px image, I need to split it into two 200x1280px regions and send them with the dead zone in the middle. Here is a diagram about how this is working (active are in red):I wonder if there is a way to use the LTDC peripheral to do this in an efficient way. I am thinking about using layers and/or windows to achieve this. Currently I am using QT to generate the content on-screen.Does anybody have a clue on how to deal with this kind of component?Thank you very much in advance!

Good morning:Please I would like to receive your help.I am starting to learn to program the STM32H755 microcontroller using a nucleo board and the STM32CUBE IDE tools. My first project is to blink two leds using individual CPUs. That is, the green LED with the M4 CPU and the red LED with the M7 CPU.After configuring the debugger, the system only programs the M4 CPU and additionally the algorithm runs very slowly. Please, I would appreciate your valuable help on this issue.Thank you

Hi,May I kindly clarify whether MKI239A adapter is compatible with MKI109V3 motherboard? From MKI239A's website and Unico's GUI (device selection list), it seems that it is compatible. But from MKI109V3's "Tools&Software" page and UM2116 (Sec.3 - Supported MEMS adapter boards), MKI239A is not shown in the list...I am a bit confused... In my case, when I chose the adapter, an error popped up, saying that "adapter has not been recognised, and the who_am_I register value does not match".This scenario does not change even if I have updated the firmware of the motherboard to the latest (3.58.2) following the user manual UM2116 (2.2.1-2.2.2) of the motherboard, changed into another USB cable, and pushed the adapter into the socket as deep as possible. My Unico is also latest version for windows (9.16).I also measured the voltage between VDD/VDDIO and GND when the adapter is inserted into the socket, and the resulting 1.8V makes sense according to the datasheet&nbsp

Hi, I have a pin labeled "DISABLE_HV" that I want switch between open drain and ground (and vice versa) to switch-off and switch-on a DC-DC converter. How can I implement this functionality in the code using HAL library?

I am using an ST25R95 controlled over SPI by an STM32L452RE MCU. It has been running just fine and reading NFC tags using a custom driver for it, but recently has stopped working. The ST25 chip appears to stop responding to SPI commands after it enters the idle command. Previously, it was able to wake up from idle after being reset and then given an nIRQ_IN pulse. This issue seems to be getting worse, as sometimes the chip doesn't even respond at all now even after being power cycled.Does anyone know why this might be happening? I can't figure out what is wrong. Here is the schematic for our RFID reader, mostly copied from the dev board for this chip.

Hi, I'm using on a STM32L4R9 a LPTimer1 in interrupt mode. If i use it with the PCLK1, HSI or LSI as clocksource it works as expected. It counts to the ARR value and then the interrupt occours. If i use the LSE as clocksource the LPTimer seems only to count to 1 and the interrupt happens way to often (propably also at 1).The LSE is also used for the RTC, which works fine.

Hello community,I face the following problem on my NUCLEO F746ZG board :I want to power up my nucleo from an external source for my application, I have done as the Nucleo-144 manual suggests:Set the power line jumper JP3 to E5V or Vin (tried both)Remove jumper in the PWR_EXT JP1 jumperPlaced 5V on the E5V pin (in case I wanted that source) or placed 8V on the Vin pin ( in case I tried with Vin)Power line is fine and stableNow The application does not start unless I press the reset button on the board, so if I power the board up, the microcontroller does not even turn on an user LED unless I also press the RST button. The firmware runs fine without having to press the reset button only if I power up the usb port of the ST-Link (no debugging needed, just a powered usb)I have tried to pull up the reset pin on the SWDIO connector and this solution works but not always, depends on the firmware it seems, if I have a bootloader or the boot address is modified it does not work!Has anybody exper
