Hello everyone, I m trying to create my own NFC-Reader Board with a ST25R3916B. With the help of the x-Nucleo NFC08A1I designed my own shematic. After ordering my custome curcit board and assembling all parts I tried to get it running but it does not work. I checked every connection betwen the pcb and the parts, the voltage and compared my shematic with the shematic from the datasheet from the x_Nucleo-NFC08A1. For comparison, I have a NFC08A1 board which works very well. It can't be the code, because I use the same code on boath boards. My problem is with the SPI communication because it doesn't even start. Do I have to pay attention to something or did I make a mistake ?I had the idea that I have a universal reading board with which I can connect different matching networks. That's why I'm using another connector. In addition, I also made sure that the capacitors and quartz were as close to the chip as possible. Can the capacitors be the reason for the proble

Hello,       I have to use SPI1, SPI2 and SPI3 to communicate with 3 ATmega32 boards(11MHz / 16MHz). I'm testing with STM32F407G-DISC1. My configuration and functions are as given below. void SPI3_Config(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct; SPI_InitTypeDef SPI_InitStruct; RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB1Periph_SPI3, ENABLE); RCC_AHB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOC, ENABLE); GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_10 | GPIO_Pin_11 | GPIO_Pin_12; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_AF; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_OType = GPIO_OType_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_25MHz; GPIO_InitStruct.GPIO_PuPd = GPIO_PuPd_NOPULL; GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct); GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOC, GPIO_PinSource10, GPIO_AF_SPI3); GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOC, GPIO_PinSource11, GPIO_AF_SPI3); GPIO_PinAFConfig(GPIOC, GPIO_PinSource12, GPIO_AF_SPI3); SPI_InitStruct.SPI_Direction = SPI_Direction_2Lines_FullDuplex; SPI_Ini

Hi.Regarding the VL53L7CX, I downloaded STSW-IMG036 (API Source) from the product page and tried running the Nucleo board and sensor using the example project included there. However, the default sensor operation setting in the code is 16(4×4) zones, but I don’t know exactly how to change it to 64(8×8) zones. In the user manualThey say it can be changed in vl53l7cx_set_resolution(), but there is no detailed explanation, so it is currently not possible to modify it. It may be because I don't know C language well, but please help me with a detailed explanation.STSW-IMG036https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img036.html

I'm using mcsdk and want to create an inverter file based on STM32G070CBTx, but when generating the project, it tells me that my selected hardware is not compatible with the algorithm

Hello, I have a problem with debugger connection. The first time I had no problems in connecting and debugging my application, but the next times the debugger connects and exit immediately.I have already tried to close/relaunch STM32CubeIDE, disconnect/reconnect the debug probe, clean any entry in Expressions and Live Expression tabs.Below I have reported the output console text.Thank you.STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. HiI need this set up to debug harder issue I encountered. I tried to search through available post but can't find anything similar enough. In the past I used SWV on STM32F411 and it worked well so I have a bit experience.Anyway:-debug setup in CubeMX looks little bit different, I have chosen this:-clock is set up to 480MHz:- firmware of ST Link V3 is (I seen some posts on other problems suggesitng to downgrade, I don't know if it is a case here, moreover, I don't know how to dongrade to selected version):-debug config seems to be recognizing proper clock:-I try to set up SWV to see just uwTick, nothing happens in SWV data window when running the SW:- surprisingly sometimes, when playing with sampling setting, I see sometimes few values displayed in trace window but it hangs up anyway and is randomly working = completely useless Does anyone know if I am doing anything wrong or does any workaround exist? GreetingsWojt

I need to simulate some external data while running simulator. For example, our device reads temperatures and I need some way to pass those temperatures (simulate) to simulator. Is there any way that is ready for this? Or I must write WinAPI code for that (sockets, COM, IPC, etc.)?

Hello thereI have a custom board based on STEVAL-IDB011V2 EVM. Is the same schematic but I have a problem with this. Apparently it boots but not run... When I flash "Hello World" example I have some issue that I can't check why.... The expected message does not is sent complete. So I have this output:In this test, I reset the board sometimes. Some times it shows "Applicat", "Applicati", (Probably bootloader output?) Some times it shows truncated "Hello World". I checked voltage levels by https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5503-bringing-up-the-bluenrglp-bluenrglps-devices-stmicroelectronics.pdf application note (bringing up the bluenrglp devices).I tried the Power Supply test (flashing DTM Firmware - UART without update) and VDDA thats we expect 1.2V, I measured 0V. The Core voltage (VCAP) I measured 1.2V as expected.I also tried flash other firmware examples without success. Can someone help me?

Hello, during testing Zigbee_OnOff_Client_SED example, hard fault in time of joining network happen, when logging with ZB_LOG_MASK_LEVEL_3 or higher is configured. With ZB_LOG_MASK_LEVEL_2 or lower example works fine.Hard fault analyzer report PRECISERR with BFAR 0x280027. Origin seems to be in the ZbLogPrintf (see attached screenshot with stack). Because it's library, it's out of my range. Depth, lqi, pjoin values are reported weird. See next log. Any suggestion, except keeping log mask level low? Thanks, Slavomir Tomascik  ZIGBEE Application Init StackLayers Init (startupMode = 3) Adding endpoint 17 (0x11), profile = 0x0104, mem = 108 ********************************************************** Network config : CENTRALIZED END DEVICE Application Flashed : Zigbee OnOff Client . I have a problem programmatically setting RDP to level 1.My code is:OBInit.RDPLevel = OB_RDP_LEVEL_1;OBInit.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_RDP;ret = HAL_FLASH_Unlock();ret = HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock();/* Clear SR register */CLEAR_BIT(FLASH->SR, FLASH_SR_BSY);ret = HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&OBInit);ret = HAL_FLASH_OB_Lock();ret = HAL_FLASH_Lock();HAL_Delay(2000);ret = HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch();// shouldn't get to this point, as processor will resetI had to put in the clear pf FLASH->SR, otherwise the "FLASH_WaitForLastOperation" would fail inside "FLASH_OB_RDPConfig". I've no idea why the flash should be busy at this stage.Whether or not I run this under the debugger, the RDP byte never changes. The last HAL_Delay is to give the flash chance to be written properly before the launch resets the processor.

In CubeMX when configuring a SPI peripheral I can only choose either 8 or 16 bit, but the STM32G491 reference manual says data size can be from 4 to 16 bit. Is this a bug in CubeMX?(using the newest CubeMX version)

Hello,I struggle to use the LSE clock as a source for timer LPTIMER1. My MC is a STM32L051R8Tx and I am using Keil MDK-Lite. ARM Compiler default 5.For debugging purpose I am using the following settings: PSC = 1; ARR = 3275; Interrupt: Auto-reload match. In the IRQ handler I toggle a LED to measure the frequency by use of a manual stop-watch.I cant measure the 32,768 kHz. Instead I measure the following: with printf() statement in loopwith debuggerLowest drive~3,276kHzwith printf() statement in loopwithout debuggerLowest drive~3,276kHz    without printf()with debuggerLowest drive~150Hzwithout printf()without debuggerLowest drive~50Hz The frequency is approx. factor 10 less and will dramatically go down when I remove the printf statement inside the while(1) loop. Hi everyone,I am using an STM32h7 to program an STM32L151 using the system bootloader through usart. When I ask for the supported commands, I get that the erase command is between them but, surprisingly, when I try to use it I get a nack. Then I read that some MCUs do not support the erase command and so my first question is: does the STM32L151 support the erase (or extended erase) command? Then I tried to erase the flash enabling and then disabling the RDP level 1, that is working but, after this operation, I find also the option bytes changed respect to the default (I read {0xffff0000, 0xffff0000, 0xffff0000, 0xffff0000, 0xffff0000} instead of {0xFF5500AA, 0xff0700F8, 0xffff0000, 0xffff0000, 0xffff0000} at address 0x1FF80000).So at the moment my firmware update process is working but, instead of sending a single erase command I have to:- set RDP level 1- restart the uP- set RDP level 0- restart the uP- re-write default option bytes- restart the uPMy second question is: am I do

Hello, I'm experimenting with algobuilder, motionFX and IKS01A3 + SMK1229AAA.Btw, very cool app for investigation. My goal is to obtain vertical speed. As motionFX provide gravity vector with magnitude 1 (let's call it G) and linear acceleration vector (let's call it A).I computed the vertical acceleration with the dot product A.G which leads toAx * Gx + Ay * Gy +Az * GzIt looks like this method gives the expected result: I get the "same" curve for the "same" vertical movement whatever the orientation of the device and whatever the direction of the movement. (I used quotes for "same" because I'm moving the device by hand ie the movement is not an exact reproduction of the previous one). However, it seems that there's an offset in result which depends on the orientation. It is particularly visible when the device is not moving: there's still a residual computed speed. If I flip the board, the residual speed is inverted. You can see it on the screenshot. Here a

In my project I use TouchGFX for an STM32 microcontroller. After visually changing the view, I need to generate the updated viewBase classes in the TouchGFX Designer. Now I want to automate this process on my build-server. I am able to generate the files for the assets, but so far I am unable to generate these ..viewBase classes from the command line.So I saw an old question https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-touch-gfx-and-gui/how-to-generate-source-code-cpp-hpp-for-touchgfx-on-linux/td-p/315134 which is no longer relevant as tgfx.exe does no longer exist. With the current version there is a touchgfx executable which can be called with update: touchgfx update If I call this from the main directory of my project, nothing really seems to happen? For now added all the generated (viewbase classes) code to git, but this is really undesirable. Can someone explain to me how I can generate the updated files from a project.touchgfx file from the command line?@Martin KJEL

Hi ! I'm using the VL53L4CD sensor's example with the Nucleo-L432KC.A first problem I solved was that the VL53L4CD didn't have the adress 0x52 as in the documentation, but 0x29 (this problem has already mentioned in a topic). My current problem is that the following code return a good status but a wrong id :'''/* (Optional) Check if there is a VL53L4CD sensor connected */status = VL53L4CD_GetSensorId(dev, &sensor_id);if(status || (sensor_id != 0xEBAA)){printf("VL53L4CD not detected at requested address\n");printf("Sensor ID : %d\r\n", sensor_id);return status;}'''It gives back the address 0.It should be the basic code, but it doesn't work.Have you got a solution ?Thank you ! Clément Poisson.
