As I mentioned earlier I am trying to show red color on display screen this time using HAL_drivers. I attached a video on my one drive of me configuring a .ioc file and I builded it with 0 errors but when I flashed it to hardware, display module does not show red color on screen , why is it?  Video Link:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1qSmV0pNJjFMhIzJwcSR4AUdzejycfTao/view?usp=sharing

I want to connect my NUCLEO board via bluetooth to a RN42 bluetooth module. The RN42 recieves sensor data from an adruino and needs to send it wirelessly to my STM board. How can i go about connecting the two?

Hi,I was following the video in the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy1c1LbypuM on how to make the screen below, but the video uses version 4.18.0. I need to figure out how to make the background for the text using the current version.  In version 4.18, the procedure corresponding to the figure below was used. Is there an equivalent procedure in version 4.22.1?

Hi Hi We are using product STM32H56 series , I am encountering problem while building my project I am using STM32cubeIDE , trust zone enabled .I enabled X-CUBE-FREERTOS  M33non secureIn software package I installed   -STm X-CUBE-FREERTOS  -CMSIS RTOS2-TZ_non_secure and desired Heap configuartion .I am getting the error as below .Please help me to resolve this issue.

I am using the STM32U5A9J-DK for a UART communication test, and I expect to display the content sent from the computer's Serial port on the screen (textArea).I'm using UART1, 115200 Baud rate, 8 data bits, 1 stop bits, and I've turned on the UART interrupt, but for some reason the text on the screen doesn't change.There are not many examples that I can find, so I hope someone can help me to clear this up!Here is my code

Hello everyone,I use STM32CubeIDE at the first time..The target is NUCLEO-L496ZG-P.When I clicked [Debug], the following message appeared.ST-Link enumeration failedError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: ST-LINK DLL error.NUCLEO board is connected to the PC. Please tell me how to solve it.Best regards,Toru

Hi,i am using STM32G0B1KB and the UCPD peripherals to implement an USB-PD device with 2 ports:- Port 1 is DRP & DRD device, USB FS data via STM32 USB peripheral, using TCPP03-M20.- Port 2 is Source only, not USB data capable, using TCPP02-M18.For port 1, I want to use the example schematic from the TCPP03-M20 datasheet, chapter "8.3Single bi-directional power path", using just one pair of MOSFETs. The 3.3V for the STM32 will be generated from the "internal" VBUS voltage (labelled "Consumer and provider paths" in the datasheet), i.e. only available when the MOSFETs are "ON".I will connect the UCPD1_DBCCx pins to the UCPD1_CCx pins to enable the pull-down resistors in "dead battery" state.I would also like to enable firmware upgrades using the USB bootloader in system memory and a simple button connected to BOOT0, even when no internal power is available ("dead battery" mode).Is this enough to enable firmware upgrades even in dead battery mode?In my understanding, it should work as f

Hi, I would like to, trigger an update event interrupt using software. My timer runs in One Pulse mode, the idea is, that another event should also run the code in my Timer ISR. So after this other event happens in my code, I don't want to wait for the timer, I simply want to trigger the ISR through software, Reset the counter and then stop the counter (this is automatic in One Pulse Mode).  I have tried setting the Update Event Bit in the Event Generation register, without any luck. Thanks

I'm working on the STM32H747I-DISCO board. While trying out how the recording works on the board, I downloaded and built the latest version 1.11.0 from: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeh7.htmlSpecifically, the code in: .\STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.11.0\Projects\STM32H747I-DISCO\Examples\BSP\STM32CubeIDEI saw that there's a line mentioned "Make sure the SW2 is in position PDM". I wonder what that means, specifically, what does SW2 mean here. (I cannot find it in RM0399 nor UM2411)Thank you.

Hello community,I'm developing a FW for a board that uses the ST25DVxxxKC to show some board info (as tags) and to allow to update the FW.I've no problem or doubt on the board side (FW).I'm trying also to develop an application on a PC equipped with Windows OS to test the board, but after a couple of days of search and test I've found that I don't know how to connect with the board in both mode (FTM and standard/nDef).I've been able to connect to the board using my ACR1552U and the Windows standard library (WinSCard.dll), but I've no idea of which protocol to use.My application is written using Qt, but also Visual Studio Code could be an option.I've downloaded the app examples provided by ST, but I haven't found nothing that can give me some hint.If anybody has any suggestion, it would be very valuable.ThanksRoberto

Hi,I'm facing problem in reading data from EEPROM, which was written before power cycle.EE_Init() always causes formatting of EEPROM irrespective of EE_CONDITIONAL_ERASE or EE_FORCED_ERASE parameter passed, resulting in erasing the previous dataConfiguration: "STM32H5 series using high-cycle data area" with EDATA_ENABLED & START_PAGE_ADDRESS 0x0900C000UI'm using the latest version of EEPROM emulation driver "X-CUBE-EEPROM version-6.0.0" on dev kit "NUCLEO-H563ZI"The example code works fine, it is able to write and read the data from the flash every time on power up by formatting the page, but when I wanted to read the data which was written in previous cycle, It always reads data zero.The reason I found was, it always give current page status as "ERASING".I made the following change in function FindPage(), having a switch case operation for "FIND_READ_PAGE" by adding a check currentpagestatus == STATE_PAGE_VALID as shown below.I added STATE_PAGE_VALID check instead of STATE_PAGE_ER

I've been confused for days and am unable to make the ADC work on F103RC and have to seek for help.The test consists of ADC1 with 6 channels, an UART for printf and an I/O port that drives an LED. The ADC configuration: The test code: /* USER CODE BEGIN PD */ #define DMA_NOT_COMPLETED 0 #define DMA_COMPLETED 1 #define DMA_NOT_STARTED 2 #define VREFINT_CHAN 0 #define TEMP_SENSOR_CHAN 1 /* USER CODE END PD */ /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t dmaTransferStatus = DMA_NOT_STARTED; uint16_t convertedData[2] = { 0 }; int Vrefint =0; int Tmcu = 0; int Vsense = 0; int tick = 0; uint32_t startTick; /* USER CODE END PV */ /* USER CODE BEGIN PFP */ #define PUTCHAR_PROTOTYPE int __io_putchar(int ch) /* USER CODE END PFP */ int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_ADC1_Init(); MX_UART5_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1); HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&h

Hello,I am using STM32H755 microcontroller and STM32CubeIDE V1.13.0 for my development.I am not able to set the clock frequency to 480MHz. Whenever I do so, I receive power regulator voltage scaling error. (Shared in the attachment).The product revision used by me is rev.V as no option to change to rev.Y is available. I also tried changing the SupplySource option but it didn't work.The RCC parameter works only when the D1CPRE is set to 240MHz. And my requirement is 480MHz.Is there any solution to run the microcontroller at 480MHz.- RegardsHrishikesh

I am trying to use the SPI example code, and I configured SPI1 on the NUCLEO-F401RE board in full Duplex work mode.I connected two NUCLEO-F401RE boards together by GND, CLK, MOSI, MISO,and CS(but I use NSS_Soft mode).Because there is no example code in the STM32F401RE-Nucleo folder, so I ported the code from STM32F411E-Discovery SPI example code, the original code was configed on the SPI2, but the STM32F401RE-Nucleo only provide the SPI1 on the socket to use. so I changed the SPI2 to SPI1. This is my SPI1 Configuration.As my uderstand, the clock signal from full duplex SPI master should be continue signal, instead of the clock only enabled during the Master want to sending the message. But when I tried to capture the clock from oscilloscope, I got below image (the clock seems enabled only the master tried to send and receive message). I set the message to be sent every 500 ms.This is my test code (I only use the polling method on the SPI test).from the test result, If I

I have implemented a basic I2C between STM32H7 (Main) and STM32F4 (Secondary) processor. I am using an array of size 6 to transmit from the Main CPU to Secondary CPU using I2C in IT mode.The HAL API for I2C requires the data_buffers to be of size uint8_t, but the HAL APIs also accept data_buffers of size uint32_t if they are typecasted to uint8_t. The next parameter for the data buffer size should be unt16_t for which I have implemented them as: size(txData)/sizeof(txData[0]) and the same implementation for the rxDataBuff on the receiving end.The HAL APIs that I am using are:1.] On the Main CPU:HAL_I2C_Master_Seq_Transmit_IT(&hi2c1, SlaveAddress << 1, TxDataFrame, Size_TxD, I2C_FIRST_AND_LAST_FRAME);2.] On the Secondary CPU:HAL_I2C_Slave_Seq_Receive_IT(&hi2c1,rx_dataFrame, rxDataFrame_Size,I2C_FIRST_FRAME);What I noticed is, if I initialize my "TxDataFrame" and "rx_dataFrame" as an array of 'uin8_t', then the HAL APIs for I2C are able to successfully transmit and rec

This is probably a *** question, but I was wondering if there is a difference in performance between the following C statements given b is a standard boolean:bool b = false; //... if (b == false) //... if (!b) //...Will gcc in STM32 Cube IDE translate these to the same number of instructions? It seems the second statement would require two operations: first to negate, then to check for inequality to zero, unless the compiler knew how to optimize this. I ask because I see a lot of the first form in the HAL and LL library code, but the second form to me is simpler and quicker. I had trouble finding the answer online, as this normally would be trivial, although I could see it being something to consider at a very slow clock or in a loop. Is there an easy way to see the C code side-by-side with the assembler in cube IDE?

I want to implement communications between two MCUs over USB.I have a Freertos application running on a Nucleog474RE board to which I've added the USB  CDC device.I'm using CubeMX 6.11 and CubeIDE 1.15.0.I have attached a USB cable to PA12 & PA11 and connected the other end to my PC's USB HUB.The enumeration fails.  Windows says the device descriptor request failed.I have tried a 1.5k pullup on DP, but saw no change.The APP Note AN4879 doesn't seem to cover the G4 series.At this point I don't know if my problem is with hardware, software or both.Is there an example that works?

I got an error, that is actually not true (see pictures). I just used cubemx to change one pin... And now this.

I am working on a pathological voice assessor device, using the STM32H747-DISCO development board. I’m a new user and need some help with configuring and sending data from the DSP to PC - there is also a separate connection for debugging from my Macbook which is plugged in to the ST-LinK Debugger port. I had attempted using the USB OTG communication protocol but was met with some driver issues. I was told by a peer to use the FT232 board, breakout the RX and TX pins, connect them to the board and then plug into the PC to read the pins. From my understanding this is using the UART protocol. So I in the IOC file I would turn on the UART setting, then generate the code and connect the FT232 board to the RX and TX pins and plug the board to the PC. Any knowledge of exactly what to do would be greatly appreciated.  Thank You :)

@mƎALLEm hello again,   So , i am facing a problem to display the frame i am supposed to send from CAN_Tx pin in loopback mode. I am using picoscope to display. Here is the function i wrote to configure the Header, and send the data: void CAN_send(void) { char msg[50]; CAN_TxHeaderTypeDef TxHeader; uint32_t TxMailbox; uint8_t TxData[4] = {'T','E','S','T'};   TxHeader.DLC = 4; // 4 data byte TxHeader.ExtId = 0; // Not used so far TxHeader.IDE = CAN_ID_STD; // Standard ID TxHeader.RTR = CAN_RTR_DATA; // Data and not remote frame TxHeader.StdId = 0x103; // Data ID TxHeader.TransmitGlobalTime = DISABLE;   if(HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage(&hcan1, &TxHeader, TxData, &TxMailbox)!=HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } while( HAL_CAN_IsTxMessagePending(&hcan1, TxMailbox));   sprintf(msg, "Message transmitted\r\n"); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)msg, strlen(msg), HAL_MAX_DELAY); }   In the Main function, i am calling it after the HAL_CAN_Start function. Hello,I am working with timers in a stm32 project. In the generic INIT function that is generated using the .ioc file important functions like HAL_PWM_Init(),  HAL_TIMEx_MasterConfigSynchronization() etc are understandably called outside the user code sections. Now, I want to customize the init function so that I can use variables for prescaler, period etc.  For that I need to add user code and call functions like PWM_init and ConfigSync again after they are already called(?) Wouldn't that be inefficient? Alternatively, if I remove the code outside the user code section or completely remove the function itself it will reappear once I generate code after making some changes to the .ioc file. I can make custom init functions but the init functions will still remain in the code. I know I can stop using the generate code functionality but is there some way around it where I can have my cake and eat it too? Modify code outside the user code sections and it not be overwri

Hello, i am using f446re nucleo board and have been facing a problem for a while now. I need to establish a loopback CAN transmission and the debug mode allows me to find a bug in the CAN Start function: HAL_ERROR 0x1 returned everytime i attempt. here is the while loop i am talking about: while((hcan->Instance->MSR & CAN_MSR_INAK) != 0) {   if((HAL_GetTick() -tickstart) > CAN_TIMEOUT_VALUE)   {     hcan->ErrorCode |= HAL_CAN_ERROR_TIMEOUT;     hcan->State = HAL_CAN_STATE_ERROR;     return HAL_ERROR;   } }

My goal is to install linux on the stm32f769-dk board.I have no such experience before.I compiled the build kernel with buildroot and installed it on the board. Linux worked but the only problem is that buildroot should normally load the image to the screen on the board. Iplayed around a bit and found that buildroot uses the otm8009 driver but I have the nt35510. Actually linux has the nt35510 driver in the source code.path : (source code root)/drivers/gpu/drm/panel/panel-novatek-nt35510.c I have no idea how to use this driver in u-boot or buildroot.
