I have tried create a USB Composite Device(CDC+MSC+HID) using STM32_USB_Device_Library V1.2.1, CDC and MSC works but HID not workable. When I use USBD_HID_SendReport() to send data to PC, MCU stuck.I have change the sequence of CDC/MSC/HID Interface/endpoint order, it seems that the last one not workable.MCU: STM32F429#define CDC_INTERFACE     0x00#define CDC_INTERFACE2   0x01#define MSC_INTERFACE     0x02#define HID_INTERFACE     0x03#define CDC_IN_EP           0x81 /* EP1 for data IN */#define CDC_OUT_EP           0x01 /* EP1 for data OUT */#define CDC_CMD_EP          0x84 /* EP2 for CDC commands */#define MSC_IN_EP           0x82#define MSC_OUT_EP        &nbs

I have timer 1 to use with hall sensors as interfacing timer. Timer 8 is then used to output the signals (see picture red and blue). The simulated hallsignal (3 sensors combined) is very precise and pretty constant (green signal - second box)."A" shows the interrupt test signal from the input interrupt. "B" is the interrupt from CCR2 of timer 1 that does actually nothing, but shows where the output signals should change. The first box shows the interval between those 2 high levels of the outputs of timer 8.The delay from A to B is set to be constant. I have already came across the problem of resetting the counter and prescaler of timer 1, so that is not an issue anymore. What else would there be, that would cause such a fluctuation? Interrupts should not be critical, as the stuff is happening in the background? My loop() is empty.Timer 1: /** * Timer for hallsensors (Rotor speed for FOC later) * Delayed execution of interrupt comes from filter!!! */ void initHallTim1AndDriverTim8()

I am using ST72F264G2 controller & flashing the code using Raisonance R-Link debugger through STVP tool. I want the "CSS" bit of option bytes to be disabled, but there is no such bit to configure in the GUI of the STVP tool. I tried various methods as given below: Tried configuring the option bytes through the "option.s" file, but the values are not getting reflected in the binary file as set in the "option.s" file i.e. I want the value as Option Byte 0 = 0x40 & Option Byte 1 = 0x04 but the value reflected is Option Byte 0 = 0xF4 & Option Byte 1 = 0xD0. So, I changed the values of the respective addresses in binary file as required (Option Byte 0 = 0x40 & Option Byte 1 = 0x04) & flashed that file. Now the option bytes value is getting reflected in "OPTION BYTES" GUI of STVP tool as required, but it shows "CSS" bit as enabled (i.e. Option Byte 1 = 0x44 instead of 0x04).   I also tried writing the option bytes through the programmer in STVD IDE but facing s

Hello,I'm working on an application that uses the NUCLEO-WL55JC development board. I was looking in the SubGHz_Phy_PingPong example code, and I noticed a macro called SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL. To use this macro, it seems you input the carrier wave frequency you want to transmit at, and it converts it to the value you pass as an array of 8-bit numbers to HAL_SUBGHZ_ExecSetCmd(&hsubghz, RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY, array, arr_len).So if I want to transmit at 868 MHz, I give that value to SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL, which outputs 910,163,968. But why is SX_FREQ_TO_CHANNEL needed at all? Why can't I pass 868,000,000 directly in the RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY packet?I think it has something to do with the RF-PLL frequency, but I don't understand. Can someone help explain why RADIO_SET_RFFREQUENCY doesn't actually set RF-PLL to frequency included in the packet? Thanks in advance.

Hi Community, I’m working with FreeRTOS on my project, and I’m curious if there’s a way to graphically visualize FreeRTOS tasks in CubeIDE. Is there a tool or technique that allows us to see task periods, interrupts, and events over time? :thinking_face:I have a logic Analyzer but I don't know if it can help?

RM0444 (Rev. 5 Nov 2020 - should be newest): Chapter 15.8 Oversampler: "N is defined using the OVFS[2:0] bits": this should say "OVSR[2:0]" bits. Chapter 15.12.3: Register ADC_CR Note for AD_EN: "set ADEN only when all bits of ADC_CR registers are 0" should better say: "set ADEN only when all bits of ADC_CR register except ADVREGEN are 0" Chapter 15.12.5: Register ADC_CFGR2 A warning hint/Note for OVSR[2:0] would be nice, e. g. : Note: ADC_DR truncates to 16bit (set OVSS to 1-4 shifts for OVSR values 4..7 (32x...256x)).

Hello, I want to use the HSE of the NUCLEO-H743ZI2 development board. I tried to set it up according to the instructions in the user manual using MCO from STLINK-V3E.Here's my setup:However, when I checked STLinkUpgrade, I found that the HSE is set to 8.33MHz. In the clock configuration, should I set the input frequency of HSE to 8Hz or 8.33MHz?Thank you very much for your guidance.

Hi !   I read the datasheet, and it says: "The receive chain comprises a differential low-noise amplifier (LNA), a down-converter tolow-IF by mixer operation in quadrature configuration". 1. What is the GAIN and the NF of the diff. LNA ?       1.a Is it also the NF of the LORA ? 2. Can I add another amplifier (LNA) at the input ? Thanks, Kosta

I am making a device that is to take pulse outputs which have been converted to wireless LoRaWAN signals, and convert it back again into a hardwire pulse output. For the receiving device, I intend to use a modem board PN 109990166 connected to an STM32L476RG. Is it possible to make a simple LoRaWAN server on the stm32F4 whose primary purpose is to take the wireless data and convert it to pulse output? If not, what other wireless protocols would be good for this application? The transmitter doesn't have to be LoRaWAN.

(A translator was used for this inquiry.)Hi,I am using the vl53l0x sensor.I would like to inquire about the detection range of the sensor. What value do you get when the wall you want to measure the distance against is tilted? (Refer to image1)What point distance do you get if the minimum length between the sensor and the wall is 100 mm and the maximum is 200 mm?I know that the maximum measurement distance of the sensor is 2M.I would like to know the range of the detectable area when the wall and the sensor are 2M away.(Refer to image2)Thank you.

Hi Guys I'm Trying to find stm32l073rz Nucleo board datasheet that contains the boards pin description, but I can't find it anywhereI have found those but when I compare the pin description in the first pic from: NUCLEO-L073RZ | Mbedwith the one provided in this datasheet:Datasheet - STM32L073x8 STM32L073xB STM32L073xZ - Ultra-low-power 32-bit MCU Arm®-based Cortex®-M0+, up to 192KB Flash, 20KB SRAM, 6KB EEPROM, LCD, USB, ADC, DACsI find the pins order is different..

Hi,I'm working on a hardware design using the STM32F765VIH and I am trying to connect a MT28EW128ABA1HPC-0SIT NOR Flash and IS66WVH16M8DBLL-100B1LI PSRAM to the FMC in muxed mode. I'm struggling to understand how the muxed connection should be made and although I've searched a lot I cannot seem to find any reference schematics for this.  Can anyone point me to reference material that could help me? Thanks,George Edit: Corrected NOR Flash part number, was previously wrongly written as part IS29GL128-70DLEB

Folks, I started off with the H573i discovery board demo as reference for the MSC + SD card (with ThreadX). I don't have the Discovery board since in my application I needed those CC1, CC2 USBPD pins for something else.  So I ran a board of my own (using the H563ZIT6).  I'm using just micro-USB B connector, not USB-C.I set up the project in Cube and pulled in all the segments from the demo for H573I.But in CubeMX I have to disable the UCPD in order to get access the two pins I need.I just left the USB enabled. But it seems that there is no USB library setup properly if the UCPD is disabled. Can someone tell me how to get the demo from the H573 to work if the CC1, CC2 pins are disabled in Cube and assigned as GPIO? I don't have to have the ThreadX but figured it might be helpful as my product develops.  Thanks!J

Hi, the problem is very simple, yet I haven't seen any information about this case in the foro or anywhere. When trying to build the example proyect BLE_HR_p2p_Sensor which I think was already in the B-WB1M-WPAN1 board relesed to start cathing up with the FW I'm not able to do so.It doesn't mind if i get the example from the "STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.18.0" or from the STM32CubeMX example BLE_HR_p2p_Sensor generation I always encounter the same errors: C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.11.2/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.win32_1.1.100.202309141235/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: BLE_HR_p2p_Sensor.elf section `._user_heap_stack' will not fit in region `RAM1'C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.11.2/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.win32_1.1.100.202309141235/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: region `RAM1' overflo

Hi,I am trying to copy the TouchGFXDemo1 in TouchGFX Designer. When I add a "text progress", there is a property of Image for the background. This property always has an initial image, and I do not know how to delete it.Could someone tell me how to do it?I want it like this:Thanks

Helloi have been following the stm32wb55 getting started, i have been successful in lab 12b about sending from the phone to the board. working with 12c has not been successful, am pressing the button but i dont receive a notification on the phone but i have followed the video well can i get some guidance about this.Below are the configurations for the notify characteristics and the phone application, i will be grateful if helped

Hello everybody!I installed STM32CubeIDE 1.15.0 and I tried to follow the session STM32WBA5x workshop - 3:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLs1KzC-s4obut STM32_WPAN is in grey; explanations say me to install other things, but it seems boxes insides other ones...I enabled RNG: STM32_WPAN is STILL in grey,I enabled RAMCFG: STM32_WPAN is STILL in grey,I enabled RF: now STM32_WPAN is active! Why is STM32_WPAN not already active starting from the example WBA55_P2P_SERVER?Thank you for the replyBR

Hello,I would like to get free memory on USB drive (64GB, FAT32) with FatFs library. Here is part of my code:  DWORD fre_clust, fre_sect; uint64_t free_memory; res_file = f_mount(&fs, "0:", 1); res_file = f_getfree("0:", &fre_clust, &fs); fre_sect = fre_clust * fs.csize; free_memory = (uint64_t)((uint64_t)fre_sect*(uint64_t)fs.ssize)/1048576;//MB  The problem is that f_getfree() always returns same value, even if data size is changed. Also I would like to say that res_file has return value FR_OK in both cases andIam able to write data on USB drive with FatFs. (Iam using STM32CubeIDE 1.14.1 and STM32H753) Does anyone know what Iam doing wrong?Thank you for your response.

Hello,we are developing IoT device for which we are planning to use STM32MP135D MPU placed on our custom SoM.To do test before SoM is ready, I have obtained a STM32MP135F-DK. There are some concerns about the 'factory programming' of such device. With the STM32MP135F-DK the method I have tried is to set all Boot switches (BOOT0, BOOT1, BOOT2 pins) to 0. Then the device boots into "Force USB boot for programming" mode, and the firmware can be uploaded using STM32 Programmer CLI running on PC. It works fine.As pic. 1 shows, also USART3 can be used for factory programming and that was the plan for SoM. Of course first I wanted to try it with DK. But unfortunately, the default USART3 TX and RX pins aren't accessible at STM32MP135F-DK GPIO connector. After research I came to conclusion that also USART6, UART4, UART5, UART7, UART8 are not accessible at that STM32MP135F-DK.1. Is my conlusion right? Can I somehow test factory programming using USART instead of USB with STM32MP135F-DK?2. Maybe w

Posted on April 19, 2017 at 09:27 Hello, I want to use DFU for update my program on the STM32L476RG. I use a personnal board. When I put BOOT0 to VCC, the Bootloader start and we can change the firmware but my system is on battery and I have no access to BOOT0 pin and RESET. So I want to jump in bootloader directly from software for that I have search the start addresse of system memory of the MCU -> 0x1FFF0000. So this is my code : #define USBD_DFU_APP_DEFAULT_ADD 0x1FFF0000 pFunction JumpToApplication; uint32_t JumpAddress; /*** **** some code HERE ***/ HAL_RCC_DeInit(); HAL_DeInit(); SysTick->CTRL = 0; SysTick->LOAD = 0; SysTick->VAL = 0; //_HAL_REMAPMEMORY_SYSTEMFLASH(); /* Jump to user application */ JumpAddress = *(__IO uint32_t*) (USBD_DFU_APP_DEFAULT_ADD + 4); JumpToApplication = (pFunction) JumpAddress; /** * Step: Disable all interrupts */ __disable_irq(); __HAL_SYSCFG_REMAPMEMORY_SYSTEMFLASH(); /* Initialize user application's Stack Pointer */ __

I have a STM32F405RGT6 on a custom PCB and are using a ST-Link/V2 ISOL in my computer. A USB-Mini is conencted to the ST-Link and from the ST-Link I use RESET, SWCLK, SWIO and GND to my STM32. I have tried connecting to the ST-Link with the STM32CubeProgrammer with the following settings:Port: SWDFrequency: 4000Mode: NormalAccess port: 0 Reset Mode: Software resetSpeed: ReliableShared: DisabledDebug in Low Power mode: ONBefore connecting I have updated the driver to the latest according to the STM32CubeProgrammer: Version: V2J43S7 After updating the driver I tried to connecting to the MCU and recieve the same error every time:Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authenication, please perfrom a discovery using Debug Authentication(I have also tried with different settings and it gave the same error) I have tried following steps on the following guide:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-solve-debugger-connection-issues/ta-p/49

Hello,I am working with the IIS3DWB for a vibration monitoring sensor, and have a few questions about the ODR (Output Data Rate) accuracy, hoping someone can help me.1. I know that on the datasheet the ODR accuracy is stated as +-1% typ, or +-2% Max.I want to know, does this accuracy specification include using the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register to correct the ODR (See page 45)? If we use the contents of that register is the tolerance considered more accurate?2. I am also curious if anyone knows the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register is set once in manufacture, or if the contents change over time. Should I read this register once or read it regularly to update my data rate correction.2.a. I know there is also a characteristic to describe the ODR change with respect to temperature. Is this characteristic captured in the adjustment provided by the INTERNAL_FREQ_FINE register? Or would it be beneficial for me to apply this correction in post processing?Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me

Hello eveybody. Before try to uss a motor with encoder drive by B-G431B-ESC1 board, need some setting ? Examples:Encoder A and B sequence respect to motor rotation CW or CCW ?Encoder phased to electrical motor phase ?Any Other ?

The KC chips made breaking changes to some configuration registers, but v2.3.1 of the ST25 Tag Editor has no option for the KC variant, so some configuration registers are read/written incorrectly.
