Hi,I want to automatically add the following line of code at the top of each source file within my project:static char const thisFile[] = __FILE__;For this, I'm creating the following Define symbol (-D) in STM32CubeIDE, by going to project Properties -> C/C++ Build -> Settings -> Tool Settings -> MCU GCC Assembler -> Preprocessor:However, when I click on OK -> Apply and Close, it shows this warning, which I don't completely understand.Anyway, I click Rebuild Index, and it changes my symbol by removing the semicolon at the end and adding some new double quote symbol "and, when I build the project after this (the code already uses thisFile string in its functions), it throws this error:error: 'thisFile' undeclared (first use in this function)I suspect, that it happens because the preprocessor can't properly transform the semicolon from my symbol, so the whole static char const thisFile[] = __FILE__ line becomes invalid.Is there a way how to make this Define symbol (-D)

Hi all,I want to increment the lap_marker variable only once when the lap_button is pressed, but when I press the button, it increments multiple times, untill I let go of the button (when I put a breakpoint in the loop it works fine).I only want to increment once, Have I done something wrong? Is there another logic?The pin is PC13, in input mode and the internal pull-down resistor activated.Here is the code: //Read lap buttonif(HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(lap_button_GPIO_Port, lap_button_Pin)){lap_marker++;}

I want to control 6 axes using the default UART communication protocol for a motor driver using x-cube-mcsdk.How should I connect for 1:n communication?

Is the STM32CubeIDE defaults 64 bits in unix time?  if not, how/where to put gcc command line option in STM32CubeIDE "gcc -D_TIME_BITS=64".  Supposedly, this will redirect unix time to be 64 bit instead of traditional 32 bit that will overflow in year 2038.  TIA

Would appreciate pointer and insignt on learning how to do battery minimum energy LoRa on (a) half a dozen of sleep modes (b) example sequencer C coding with power saving  (c) reading list on application/tech notes, etc.  TIA

Hey, my question is how to add additional c source files to TouchGFX project so I can build project in TouchGFX Designer?I know I have to edit Makefile . I already tried it but with no success. Here is the code of my makefile:# Helper macros to convert spaces into question marks and back again e := sp := $(e) $(e) qs = $(subst ?,$(sp),$1) sq = $(subst $(sp),?,$1)   # Get name of this Makefile (avoid getting word 0 and a starting space) makefile_name := $(wordlist 1,1000,$(MAKEFILE_LIST))   # Get path of this Makefile makefile_path := $(call qs,$(dir $(call sq,$(abspath $(call sq,$(makefile_name))))))   # Get path where the Application is application_path := $(call qs,$(abspath $(call sq,$(makefile_path)../..)))   .PHONY: clean assets all   ifneq ($(words $(makefile_path))$(words $(MAKEFILE_LIST)),11) all clean assets: $(error Spaces not allowed in path) else   project_path := $(call qs,$(abspath $(call sq,$(makefile_path)../../..))) core_path := $(project

Hello,We are using ST25R3920B as NFC reader for our project. In order to implement the functionality we integrated the nfc RFAL driver provided from ST. We need to develop the software with respect to ASPICE guidelines. I would like to ask whether the RFAL lib of NFC Reader has been certified for ASPICE guidelines? https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-st25rfal002.html

I bought a NUCLEO H755ZI board, but I can't make the LED connected to GPIOB pin 14 blink, neither with CMSIS nor with HAL, I saw some tutorials and questions here, but nothing solved it, thank you in advance for your help.

I'm looking to add a serial EEPROM to a product, and have a somewhat odd situation. The device will loose power spontaneously and often (few times an hour). My question is: What happens if the M24C01-R looses power during a write operation?  I assume at least that byte will potentially be corrupted, but does it have any other effects?   What about if I write a whole page? Will the whole page be erased before the writing starts ?  ( Of course I'll add CRC checks on the data so I know if I can trust it or not )

Relevant to this post, created new one per @STTwo-32's recommendation.When some USB and SDMMC pins are in the GUI set to alternate function without their respective peripherals active, then there is code generated in MX_GPIO_Init() function that renders FDCAN1 nonfunctional.Here is what's needed:MCU STM32H723ZGTIn the GUI - Pins PD0 and PD1 mapped to FDCAN1 (RX, TX) with the peripheral enabled.Pins PB14, PB15, PD6, PD7, PG11, PG12 mapped to SDMMC (D0, D1, CK, CMD, D2, D3) without the peripheral enabled.PA11, PA12 to USB DM and DP without the peripheral enabled.This code is generated in MX_GPIO_Init() which sets PA11 and PA12 to incorrect alternate function.... /*Configure GPIO pins : PB14 PB15 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_14|GPIO_PIN_15; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = GPIO_AF9_SDMMC2; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStruct); /*Con

Hello community,i have trouble to identify a defect power semiconductor from ST.The package is TO-220 and is marked with "GF309VW" and the ST-Logo. Can anyone identfiy the device?Thanks in advance!

Hello,I am trying to setup an external ADC/DAC module with an STM32H7 microcontroller. I2C Slave - EVAL-AD5593R-PMDZI2C Master - STM32H757XIH6 on STM32 Embedded Display by RiverdiI am struggling to get the very basics of communication to work as I cannot get a return of HAL_OK.The slave address for the AD5593R should be 0b0010001 as the A0 bit for the IC on the module is always connected to Vcc according to the schematic for the board.The I2C2 peripheral is setup by STM32IDE and the timing is set for 400 kHz which the AD5593R can work on.Any thoughts on what may be my issue would be extremely helpful!!! Thanks a lot. What I have tried:-Swapping slave address bit A0 to 0-Removing left shift for slave address-Adding a 0 for write command to the slave address-Using HAL I2C Master Transmit Hardware Connections:STM32 Pin 2 +3.3V -> AD5593R Pin 6 VccSTM32 Pin 6 GND -> AD5593R Pin 5 GNDSTM32 Pin 34 I2C2_SDA -> AD5593R Pin 4 SDASTM32 Pin 36 I2C2_SCL

I am using an STM32WB5MMG for a BLE application. The device acts as a server. I have configured a number of characteristics with indication permissions. How can I confirm the correct reception of the characteristics updates by the client? I mean, where can I get the indication confirmation?Best regards and thanks.

Hello,i have the inemo-m1 board,  bought waaay back in 2015... back then i remember i managed to work with some sample code from ST.However years have passed... and would be great to find a download location for the sample code.I have tryied searching the internet and ST website, but did not find anything... probably is such a old code...Would be great to find it again... Thank you very much

Steps to reproduce:Create a new project with an STM32F779NIH processorEnable USB OTG highspeed (device only)Add USB_Device middleware (select any class)Generate the project codeInside the USB_DEVICE/App/usbd_desc.c file, the GetSerialNum(void) function, the code is generated with uninitialized device serial variables: static void Get_SerialNum(void){  uint32_t deviceserial0;  uint32_t deviceserial1;  uint32_t deviceserial2;  deviceserial0 += deviceserial2;  if (deviceserial0 != 0)  {    IntToUnicode(deviceserial0, &USBD_StringSerial[2], 8);    IntToUnicode(deviceserial1, &USBD_StringSerial[18], 4);  }} As there is no user block of code, every time my code is regenerated, I need to update those three lines again with: uint32_t deviceserial0 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID1;uint32_t deviceserial1 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID2;uint32_t deviceserial2 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID3; Thanks.

Hello,I am experimenting on a STM32H7S78-DK board with a custom UI.Sometimes the board looks like frozen and inspecting with the debugger I always find that the core is running, but GUITask is waiting for nema semaphore.The call originates from nema_wait_irq_cl() with cl_id = last_cl_id + 1. A reset may or may not solve the problem: sometimes the board works good, others it hangs up at the first few frames or after some interactions.Removing all widgets and adding them one by one leads to incoherent results. It looks like working and then it hangs again or it may work without any change. Which steps should I take to investigate the issue? Best regards,Alessandro

Hi, we see STM32H7 has Qspi errata as below: But we are not sure where to apply the patch exactly. It says "upon reset and upon switching from memory-mapped", mean in reset function, right after or before "HAL_QSPI_Init"?

Hallo,I struggled already two days with the implementation of USB_OTG_FS on a STM32F401 board. The most prominent error concerns the Virtual Com Port on the Windows PC: whatever I try, there is always a message saying "USB device not recognized", with as addition "Device Descriptor request failed".In a final attempt I stepped my debugger through the initialization process and encountered the function 'USB_DevConnect(...)', located in the file: "ProjectName>>Drivers>>STM32F4xx_HAL_Driver>>Src>>stm32f4xx_ll_usb.c", line 76. I considered the statements in that function a bit strange, until my eye fell on the function 'USB_DevDisconnect(...)' right below the former one. The body of both functions are exact copies of each other!At first I thought I messed up this file myself, so I checked the "master" file in the Repository for STM32F4xx targets, with the same result. Still I couldn't believe this came from ST, so I downloaded the most recent version, the "STM32Cube_

I need to read data from SD card and then send them via uart in STM32f7 discovery kit. so I did the initial setting such as open the text file using fatfs and then inside a while loop I read the data. but I need to execute that when I press fetch button in my UI, but suddenly all fall apart, I don't know exact reason is it because of interrupt of the SDMMC or is there a way to do it safely.

Can anyone face this issue at STM32CubeMX tool while generating the code.

Hi Folks I am porting some code from an old project where i was using FreeRTOS 10 to AzureRTOS.At the end of an ISR callback i used to call portYIELD_FROM_ISR(yield) to give back to the OS(Scheduler) the control on the next valid tick. Is there any equivalent for AzureRTOS ? I tried to search but i found nothing relevant.  RegardsDavide

Hello,   I'm currently controlling a motor with the nucleo-h743zi2 board.   I'm sending commands to the motor driver via PWM and reading the encoder's values. I can currently send commands from a PC and receive encoder values through UART communication. When using UART communication, is there any control available for receiving both encoder values and other data like speed and control signals calculated on the board at the same time?   I want to plot graphs on the PC to easily monitor control performance. Is there any reference material that would be helpful for me?   And as I'm a beginner and have used UART communication, please let me know if there are any other methods available. Thank you in advance for any advice you can provide.

Hello, I am using STM32C011F4U6 MCU.As I mentioned, I wonder if it is possible to do Erase in units smaller than Page.The specification does not describe such a function, but is this function possible?

I am using timer 2 for trigger DAC and GPIO to generate analog and digital values.own timer 2 started with DMA to change ARR by an array.My GPIO array works well and starting to change from index 0 . but my DAC array start from Index 1. as you can see, the longest pulse (200ms) in latest DAC value (dac[9] = 4000) instead of (dac[0] = 2000) time[0] = 200000;time[1] = 100000;time[2] = 100000;time[3] = 100000;time[4] = 100000;time[5] = 100000;time[6] = 100000;time[7] = 100000;time[8] = 100000;time[9] = 100000; dac[0] = 2000;dac[1] = 2200;dac[2] = 2500;dac[3] = 2700;dac[4] = 2900;dac[5] = 3100;dac[6] = 3300;dac[7] = 3500;dac[8] = 3700;dac[9] = 4000; pin[0] = 0x0000FFFF;pin[1] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[2] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[3] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[4] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[5] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[6] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[7] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[8] = 0xFFFF0000;pin[9] = 0xFFFF0000;
