RM0455 rev. 3 doesn't mention the OCTOSPI*M* clock enable at all. As OCTOSPIM is on AHB, this bit should be in one of RCC_AHB1ENR, ..., RCC_AHB4ENR registers. On the other hand, there is a mysterious IOMNGREN bit in RCC_AHB3ENR, and this IOMNGR is not mentionend anywhere else.Apparently IOMNGREN is in fact OCTOSPIM clock enable, as after setting it OCTOSPIM registers become available at 0x5200B40X as expected. The very same applies to IOMNGRRST in RCC_AHB3RSTR as well.

HelloI have a custom container common to several screen (with OK button in it).How can i call a callback of the current screen when a button is pressed in the container ?I do call the callback of the custom containe, but don't know how to propagate it to the current view.(for example when OK button is pressed i want to execute the action in each view containing this custom container)I there an example of this ?thanksregards

Had been able to connect to connect to the STM32H563 chip using the STMCubeProgrammer.  However after a full chip erase was performed was no longer able to connect.  The following message popup appears when trying to connect:“Cannot connect to access port1!. If you are trying to connect to a device with TrusZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug mode. If you are trying to connect to H5 device and your target is already locked with password or certificate, please open your device using Debug Authentication."Other than the full flash erase, no other operation was performed, no flash code had been changed, etc.  The board was just out of the box working until the flash erase operation was performed.

A question of compehension:I cannot find any of the OCTOSPIM registers - neither in STM32CubeMX, nor in the register list, read by STM32CubeProgrammer. Am I right, that's because in our chip, there's only one OCTOSPIM port?(I would appreciate, if that was mentioned in the reference manual, that that whole section "OCTOSPI I/O manager (OCTOSPIM)" has no relevance for certain chip subtypes, with a reference to the data sheet.)But then I ask: Why do I still have the OCTOSPI2 registers? Because "In the default out-of-reset configuration, all the OCTOSPI1 and OCTOSPI2 signals are mapped, respectively, on Port 1 and on Port 2." (reference manual). And since I cannot change that mapping, and since I have no OCTOSPIM2 port, what's the point in the OCTOSPI2 registers then?Did I misunderstand / miss something?

I have build a board of STM32MP151AAC3 processor. It has almost everything, except audio output and DSI Display. STM32MP151 series does not support DSI.Anyway! I used the included Design Rules from that CAD file  .The Design Rules are narrow and tight, so not even JLCPCB can produce this board. Question:Which manufacturer can produce this board if the design rules looks like this? This is an open source project, so I will upload this on GitHub later.

Part: STM32L4R5ZIT6I would like to use TIM2 to increment 3 other timers at different times:TIM2 is incrementing from an external clock and rolling over at a set period.1. TIM2 rollover would increment TIM52. TIM2 Compare 1 would increment TIM13. TIM2 Compare 2 would increment TIM8TIM5 would increment at time 0 of every period. TIM1 would increment at t1 of every period. TIM8 would increment  at t2 of every period. Is this even possible? Thanks.

I'm aiming to store data persistently in flash memory on an STM32 microcontroller. I've created a struct to hold the data, but I'm facing challenges with:Data Erasure: The data gets erased after a while, likely due to sector erase cycles.Sector Boundaries: I understand that flash memory erases in sectors, and I'd like to avoid writing to the same sector repeatedly to improve flash lifespan. However, I'm unsure about the best approach to determine where to store the data to ensure persistence. What recommended strategies or libraries are available for wear leveling on STM32 microcontrollers to distribute writes across different sectors and prolong flash life? Is a log-structured approach suitable for frequently updated data stored in a struct? If so, can you provide guidance on implementing this technique efficiently? How can I determine the appropriate sector size for my application and calculate suitable addresses for storing my struct data, taking wear leveling into account?

Hi, I am trying to create an example project for my NUCLEO-F401RE board by following the following steps:1. Completely clean Debian 11.9.0 installation (in virtual machine)2. Download and install STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 (STM32CubeIDE-DEB)3. Launch the IDE and create a C-project for the board. All path and pin settings default.4. During the project setup process a "Licensing Agreement" window pops up and the IDE freeze (see attached screenshot).Do you have any suggestion what is going wrong?thanks/F

When I try to install SonarLint from Eclipsemarkete place I get the following errorUnable to read repository at https://eclipse-uc.sonarlint.org/content.xml. Certificate chain is not validSTM32cubeIDE 1.7.0 on WindowsI asked the question on the SonarLint forum and they provided a link to the zip archive. The offline install went fine.I don't know if it is a SonarLint error og STM32cubeIDE error.

One of my machines is running 1.14.1. My customer is at 15.0 and does not wish to change to 15.1 this close to deployment. Is there any way to update the IDE to 15.0? If I select 'Update' from the 'Installation Details' from the 'About' screen I only see 15.1 available to upgrade to.

Hello,I am programming an STM32WB55CGU6 on custom PCB. I'm using the LPUART1 peripheral according to the datasheet and reference manual, but at the transmitter pin (PA2) I'm not seeing any traffic. It's just stable at about 3.3V. There is a led at PC15 and it is blinking, so the program is not getting stuck anywhere. What is wrong with the LPUART? Can't find any answers in the documentation.. I'd appreciate if you could check out my code and point out any problems. Thanks #include <stdlib.h> #define CLOCK_ENABLE_GPIOBC 6 #define PIN_SET_PC15 1<<15 #define PIN_SET_PB8 1<<8 #define MODE_SELECT_PC15 1<<30 #define MODE_SELECT_PB8 1<<16 #define uint32_t unsigned int static uint32_t RCC = (uint32_t)0x58000000; static uint32_t LPUART1 = (uint32_t)0x40008000; static uint32_t LPUART1_TDR = (uint32_t)0x40008028; static uint32_t FLASH = (uint32_t)0x08000000; static uint32_t TIM2 = (uint32_t)0x40000000; static uint32_t TIM2_CNT = (uint32_t)0x40000024; static uin

We have a custom design using a STM32F373 and USB (USB micro connector). In the past this board has been updated via USB DFU and DFuSe Demo.I am trying to use USB DFU to program the board in STM32CubeProgrammer v2.16, but it appears when the board is plugged into a USB C adapter, it does not correctly identify in Windows 11 64-bit (USB Device Descriptor Request Failed).I've tested this board on 4 different PCs which make me think the USB C adapter and/or Windows 11 is causing the problem:- The board correctly identified on PCs 1 and 2, which had USB A sockets and Windows 10.  Board connected using USB micro to USB A cable.- The board failed to identify on PCs 3 and 4, which had USB C sockets and Windows 11.  Board connected using USB micro to USB A cable, and a USB A to USB C adapter (hub). Is the system memory USB DFU bootloader compatible with USB C/USB 3.0?Are there any known problems using USB A to C adapters with the USB DFU bootloader? Notes on PCB design:- US

Hallo,I needed more performance for my project, so I replaced my STM32F401 Blackpill by a WeAct STM32H723VGT6 board. I adapted my HW to accomodate the different layout of the H723 board and modified my application where needed because differences in various registers. When done I built my project with STM32CUBEIDE version 1.15.1 , upload it and tried to run it in Debug mode. I apply a simple 4wire ST-Link for the upload and debug communication.Unfortunately, already in the second configuration statement I encounter an error, stating that a specific memory address cannot be read. I will try to give as much info as I can, hoping that more experienced members are able to conclude if this is a HW issue (just a bad part in the memory) or a SW error (just a case of bad code). With trial and error I determined the exact statement that produces the error. The picture below shows the 'Debug' window and the window with the 'Disassembly' control. The content of the 'Disassembly output' is sho

I have gotten the following code to correctly validate CRC's, so I know I have configured the CRC correctly: uint32_t calcCRC = 0; hcrc.Instance->INIT = 0xFFFFFFFF; calcCRC = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint32_t*) pointer, length); calcCRC = HAL_CRC_Accumulate(&hcrc, (uint32_t*) pointer2, length2); calcCRC = calcCRC ^ 0xFFFFFFFF; However, if I were to run the same exact computation except replacing the accumulate with two separate calculates and resetting the INIT to the previous CRC result, I am unable to validate CRC's: uint32_t calcCRC = 0; hcrc.Instance->INIT = 0xFFFFFFFF; calcCRC = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint32_t*) pointer, length); hcrc.Instance->INIT = calcCRC; calcCRC = HAL_CRC_Calculate(&hcrc, (uint32_t*) pointer2, length2); calcCRC = calcCRC ^ 0xFFFFFFFF; I would like to re-initialize the STM32CRC with the output of the previous CRC calculation and pick up where I left off.  Unfortunately, I am unable to validate CRC's using

I have a strange problem. I have a global uint32_t variable that counts up in the main loop and every 100 ms it gets reset in a timer-ISR. This works, but sometimes it does not. Here is the value of the variable MainCounter read out by the debugger:The ISR is definitely called every time as the toggling variable test shows. Also inside the ISR MainCounter really is zero, I checked. But sometimes this zero does not "reach" the main loop. Please help, I have absolutely no idea how this is even possible.

I'm running a STM32G474RET6 on a Nucleo G474RE board, and trying to read the internal temperature.I set up ADC1 with 2 ranks (the temperature and the vrefint) like so (not including the error checking and comments for better readability): hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV2; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc1.Init.GainCompensation = 0; hadc1.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_ENABLE; hadc1.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CONV; hadc1.Init.LowPowerAutoWait = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.NbrOfConversion = 2; hadc1.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc1.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NONE; hadc1.Init.DMAContinuousRequests = DISABLE; hadc1.Init.Overrun = ADC_OVR_DATA_PRESERVED; hadc1.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE; multimode.Mode = ADC_MODE_INDEPENDENT; HAL_ADCEx_MultiModeConfi

Hi,I want to use PB3 an PB4 pins as SPI1. When i use st-link and debug my code, it works. but when i plug-off st-link it seems that mcu can not boot. I use the codes below for jtag disable , but it does not work. Any advise for my problem? GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; RCC_APB2PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB2Periph_GPIOB | RCC_APB2Periph_AFIO, ENABLE); // GPIOB & AFIO /* Configure PB.03 (JTDO) and PB.04 (JTRST) as output push-pull */ GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = GPIO_Pin_3 | GPIO_Pin_4; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_50MHz; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_Out_PP; GPIO_Init(GPIOB, &GPIO_InitStructure); GPIO_PinRemapConfig(GPIO_Remap_SWJ_Disable, ENABLE); GPIO_PinRemapConfig(GPIO_Remap_SWJ_JTAGDisable, ENABLE); GPIO_PinRemapConfig(GPIO_Remap_SWJ_NoJTRST, ENABLE);

I've built a new prototype using the STM32U575C, and provisioned two program/debug connectors, a fine pitch Samtec header and 0,1" pitch six pin header, I've used both before on STM32F4.I've tried accessing the processor using both headers, an STLINK-V3SET and and old F4 Nucleo.Neither can access the processor. Is there something fundamentally different in the U5 parts that I've missed?I've attached the schematic of my processor sheet.

Hi all, first time working with stm32.So far I've managed to make things work, I've even workarround this issue (*), but I can't seem to understand why this is happening in the first place.STM32F429, STMCubeIDE, ST-LINK/V2This is my situation:Execution of code starts at Sector 1.Sector 1 & 2: My_Bootloader (to the effects of this post, not PCROPed)Sector 3: My_SecureSegment (PCROPed, code compiled with -mpure-code option, memory section attribute (x): executable code (**) )Sector 4 and on: My_Application (not PCROPed)I start the debugger, it gets halted at Reset_Handler (as expected). Reset_Handler: nop nop nop movw r0, #:lower16:_estack movt r0, #:upper16:_estack mov sp, r0 (added the nops just to demonstrate the kind on instruction that's being executed)No error flag set (FLASH_SR = 0)Step Into (instruction stepping mode active), one nop executesRDERR flag gets set. From Reference Manual [RM0090 - 3.9.6 Flash status register (FLASH_SR)]:So, who is attempting to ac

Hello,DescriptionI have created a custom container to have the same stuff displayed at top of the screen, whatever the active screen is.In this custom container there's a text area tVersFw (with a wildcard and a wildcard buffer) which has to show a const string. I can't precompile the string in Designer beacuse the strings changes with firmware version (chosen at compile time by setting a preprocessor macro). So, in the initialize() call of the custom container I added this code:  Unicode::strncpy(tVersFwBuffer, FW_VER_STRING, TVERSFW_SIZE); tVersFw.invalidate();  where FW_VER_STRING is like "ABC123". IssueWhen I change GUI language, at runtime, one of the two languages makes the textarea show weird things. It's systematic: when I select one language, "ABC123" is correctly displayed whikle when I choose the other I see something like "New TextABC123". What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance,Andrea

Dear Community,I'm a repair technician and I trying to identify a damaged component made by STMicroelectronics.Based on the surronding components and circuitry its a PMIC/DC-DC Coverter but I cannot find this specifc one.As you can see, all the information is visible on the IC markings is XXC7-1. And it has a 7-pin configuration on a SOP8 package. Can you please help me identify this component? Thank you!

In EVAL-L9963E-MCU evaluation board manual, the term 'VTREG' is refered to on many pages in word. But schematic diagrams or figures don't use 'VTREG' like the image attached below. What's the VTREG?

I am currently working on a TouchGFX project with an H7 custom board with QSPI external flash and SDRAM.I am able to get the display working properly when not using the external flash. The external flash has been tested separately by writing to it & using the testbinary1M.bin file and the results are as expected.Images can be stored at the external flash address, and pixel data seems to be stored correctly too (Below is pixel data for a red PNG image...)  // 4.22.0 0xd2f03614 D2 R1 FRGB888 U888 N0 SExtFlashSection // Generated by imageconverter.
