HiI use the HAL library and CMSIS-RTOS2infinite loops should not be used in the thread, but I need to wait, for example, for the packet to be sent via I2C, because I need to write and read right after each other, and if I don't wait for the HAL_I2C_STATE_READY state, only writing is performed, but reading does not take placeis the solution to use osThreadYield() ?static void Task1(void *argument) { while(1) { HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit_IT(&hi2c1, I2C_addr, write_data_array,sizeof(write_data_array)); while(hi2c1.State != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) { osThreadYield() ; } HAL_I2C_Master_Receive_IT(&hi2c1, I2C_addr, read_data_array,sizeof(read_data_array)); while(hi2c1.State != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) { osThreadYield() ; } } }or set a semaphore(event) in the I2C interrupt handler and watch it in the thread?osSemaphoreId_t I2C_semaphore; void I2C1_EV_IRQHandler(void) { HAL_I2C_EV_IRQHandler(&hi2c1); if(hi2c1.State == HAL_I2C_STATE_READY) osSemaphoreRelease(I2C

Hi, Can PD Controller (STUSB4710) act as a DRD?STUSB4710 - Stand-alone USB PD controller (with short-to-VBUS protection) - STMicroelectronicsI believe that STUSB4710 cannnot operate as DRD (Dual Role Data), and can only function as UFP.If there is a way to operate it as DRD, please let me know how to configure it.

The STM32WB1MMCH6TR module has a BOOT0 pin that is pulled high on the MB1868 "B-WB1M-WPAN1" board through (what appears to be) a non-populated resistor. Without this resistor the BOOT0 input to the module is floating.  Does the module pull the signal down internally or is the BOOT0 input to the STM32WB15CC on the module left floating? Is there a design guide document for using the STM32WB1MM?  So far I've been using the bare chip documentation and the B-WB1M-WPAN1 board as a guide.  I do have the STM32WB1MMC datasheet (DS14096 - Rev 7 - August 2024) but there aren't a lot of details.

I have a small micro that needs to run before the MP157 is active. The voltage coming gin is 5V, but I need 3.3V. Is there an always-on LDO in the STPMIC1 for such purpose? I assume the internal LDO is not te be used?Do I need to program the voltage of the LDO or is it set by default to 3.3VRegards

I'm trying out the board designer feature and ran into an issue where after succesfully making a board in Board Designer based on a custom STM32G431 motor controller board, MCWB gives this error about the current sensing not being found:The Board Designer doesn't show any errors: I have a current sensing feature added with 3 shunt resistor readings from a DRV8323 chip: Can anyone give me some advice on what to try next to get this to work?  This is such a cool tool I'd love to get working.

HelloWe are working on a product using the STM32WLE5JC MCU. The features a magnetic switch that generates interrupts (specifically a low to high transition) which is meant to wake up the MCU from STOP2 mode. What is the ideal way to do this? We have few free GPIO pins. Could we use any GPIO with an external interrupt or does the switch need to be connected to dedicated wakeup pin?

Hi,I am currently playing with the NUCLEO-WBA55 board with the BLE_p2pServer_ota example.During the advertising process, I got this raw data with the BLE scanner on my phone. I mean that the 0x30 is the ID for STMicroelectronics, but what is behind it? Can someone explain to me what 000010080E12AAB is?

Hello, I was hoping for some help on which way to use a keyboard on TouchGFX. It will be the same keyboard from the example provided by TouchGFX. My application has multiple screens (10-12) where it uses a keyboard. Would it be more efficient memory/gpu wise tooverlay a keyboard on every screen and use setVisible true/false for when user wants keyboard openedcreate one screen for the keyboard and whenever the user wants to use the keyboard it goes to that screenI was a bit confused because I know it takes resources for the screen to draw the keyboard images and the mappings, so I thought using one screen would be more efficient. But, TouchGFX loses the state and destroys the screen that it leaves, meaning using one screen would be constant redraws, not to mention carrying over state and managing buffers so the keyboard can send data back to the screen where user came fromIs there a "norm" when it comes to using keyboard on TouchGFX?

I like to configure IWDG (with early interrupt), but the UI in STM32CubeMX for IWDG lacks the NVIC settings tab compared to WWDG. I know that both units share the same ISR "WWDG_IWDG_IRQHandler", but why do I need to activate WWDG to get the Interrupt code generated? I really just like to use the IWDG due to its low power (stop 2) capabilities, I don't want the WWDG at all. How can I activate the interrupt code generation for IWDG without activating WWDG? Is this intentionally or is this a bug in STM32CubeU0 MCU package in STM32CubeMx?ps. latest available versions installed (6.12.1 + STM32CubeU0 Firmware Package V1.1.0 / 05-June-2024)

Updating the cubeide generates this error:An error occurred while collecting items to be installedsession context was:(profile=STM32CubeIDE, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).Result of processing steps.OKOKOKPublic key not found for 70b824d9a6b4ae29.OKI could just intall the latest version, but I assume there is a way to fix this.  Thanks,Jamie

Hey, probably a dumb question, but I couldn’t find it in the datasheet. Can each pin of the VNQ9025AJ handle 30A, or is that the rating for the smart switch as a whole with a limit on each pin? Honestly, I’m hesitant to believe a single pin can handle 30A.

Hello,I want to activate UART1 interrupt directly through code in STM32CubeIDE, without using the .ioc file. UART1 is already active, so I just need to add the necessary lines to enable the interrupt. In the stm32wbxx_it.c file, I defined the interrupt handler as follows:void USART1_IRQHandler(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_IRQn 0 *//* USER CODE END USART1_IRQn 0 */HAL_UART_IRQHandler(&huart1);/* USER CODE BEGIN USART1_IRQn 1 *//* USER CODE END USART1_IRQn 1 */}In the stm32wbxx_it.h library, I declared the prototype as void USART1_IRQHandler(void);. However, I am still not able to receive data using the HAL_UART_Receive_IT function.

Hello STM community,I have a problem with my Nucleo-G431KB. I am trying to communicate to a sensor device over SPI. The problem I have is that when I use PA5 as SPI1_SCK, the logic high is only 1.4 V instead of the 3.3 V on other pins. When I configure PA5 as normal GPIO output I also get a 1.4 V output. When I use another pin as SPI1_SCK it works as expected. I have this problem when the Nucleo is connected to the sensor, but also when there is no load except for the oscilloscope. At first I thought that it might be a production error, but I have the problem on both of my boards. Is it normal that this pin has a lower voltage? If so, can I change it somehow?

Hi,We're developing a PCB that can have multiple different I2C ICs assembled and have chosen the M24C02-RMC6TG EEPROM for board identification. In the datasheet, section 4.5, a note states no other device using the 1010 xxxx address can be connected to the same bus. The note also begins with "When using the DFN5 package:".I'm unsure whether this statement applies only for the DFN5 package or in general? (Datasheet snippet below)          One of the intended ICs that we plan to implement can be configured to have either 1010 011 or 1010 010 I2C address. Can this IC be on the same bus with this EEPROM? (With the address configured to not overlap with the other IC) Thanks in advance,Lazar

Question about HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive timeout.Currently, a timeout occurs when calling HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive in our program. (We are the master)What are some of the factors that cause a timeout in HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive?

Good morning,I'm using the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board associated with the STEVAL-MKI201V2.Is there a source code for using the STEVAL-MKI201V2 accelerometer with the STEVAL-MKI109V3 board?Otherwise there are examples of using the STEVAL-MKI201V2 with other microsprocessors? Thank you.Best regards.Gb2.

Hi STM Expert, We are currently working on STM32G491KCU6 MCU FDCAN side. Our requirement is to validate the activity on Tx and Rx pins. We started off the testing with the LoopBack mechanism but unfortunately we were not able to see any data received in the Rx buffer. We referred sample FDCAN programs for this and tested the same in STM IDE Debugger mode. We then moved to test the normal mode as well. For this we used a sample code and probed the Tx pin of FDCAN using an oscilloscope. During the transmission, no activity is seen on the oscilloscope. We confirmed the pins are not damaged by setting FDCAN_Tx and FDCAN_Rx pins to GPIO and toggled it.   Please let us know what we have missed and guide us.

Hello,in order to use external memories, is it mandatory to use the FMC?Thank you

Hi, I am using the ST25RU3993 Reader Suite for communication and register access with UHF RFID chips. However, I am currently facing challenges in determining the correct data bit length, data arrangement, and specific command codes required for effective communication. While I understand that the device operates in compliance with the EPC Gen2 protocol, I have not found documentation covering these particular details.I would greatly appreciate any guidance, application notes, relevant documentation, or example commands that could support my efforts to write data to specific memory locations or registers on RFID tags using the ST25RU3993’s generic command function.

I am working on a board containing two STM32F412, and I am having a hard time reaching the DFU bootloader:If I power off the board, pull the boot pin low, and then power on the board directly via USB, then cubeProgrammer is able to connect to the bootloader via DFU, completely as expectedHowever, if I let the board be powered in run-mode, pull the boot pin low, and then reset the MCU via the nRST pin, then the cubeProgrammer is not able to connect the bootloader via DFU At this point I am able to keep the boot pin grounded, power cycle the board (by disconnect/reconnecting the USB cable), and then cubeprogrammer is able to connect to the bootloader againThe schematic is illustrated below:SW3 is a latching switch to select which of the two MCUs are connected to the USB connectorUSB1.D- and USB1.D+ goes to PA11 and PA12, respectively on the first MCU, and USB2.D- and USB2.D+ and similarly connected to the second MCUThe design relies on the internal MCU pull-up resistors of the

Hello,I am using Nucleo-F401RE MB1136, want to run the board using the HSE, installed 8Mhz crystal on X3 with 22pf capacitors on C33 & C34 and 0 Ohm resistors on R35 & R37.Using the CubeMx, configured the HSE pin as Crystal/Ceramic Resonator, set the clock in the Crystal Configuration for HSE as 8Mhz, tried both the ways, directly using HSE as System Clock and with using the PLL block.Still not able to run the code as the code gets stuck in SystemClock_Config(void), no pulse is generated on the crystal. Is there any step that i missed or some configuration, please guide me if possible. I am new into the Stm world. Provided the snippet of the CubeMx generated code.Thank You __weak HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_RCC_OscConfig(RCC_OscInitTypeDef *RCC_OscInitStruct) { uint32_t tickstart; uint32_t pll_config; /* Check Null pointer */ if (RCC_OscInitStruct == NULL) { return HAL_ERROR; } /* Check the parameters */ assert_param(IS_RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE(RCC_OscInitStruct-&gt

I'm trying to use the 64pin STM32F722 part for the first time this time.I need EVM schematic and User's manual for reference circuit. But I can't find the document. Please tell me how I can get the documents.(I could find the reference schematic for the BGA part of 100 pins but I need one for 64 pins.)

Hi,When I was trying for DC-DC converter design, I have found this VIPer22A Isolated DC-DC converter design. I am having two queries here,1) Is still this technology in use?2) Can I get the details about the transformer which used here?Is there any new technology for the same DC-DC converter pls suggest for me. It will be better for further development.
