what does exactly happen here ? static void WriteCommand(uint8_t cmd) { HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2, &cmd, sizeof(cmd), HAL_MAX_DELAY); } &cmd is address of the variable I wonder if HAL is actually transferring data at that address ?

Hi all!,I notice a different behavior from CubeMX, when starts alone or is called from CubeIDE.When I open CubeMX without CubeIDE, it works as espected. But when CubeMX is open from CubeIDE, it works in a strange way. Per exemple, when I try to put a MCU reference, with every key I stroke it tabs to "search" entry.Anyone with the same problem?Aftermore, this strange behavior happens sometimes, and sometimes dont...Here, CubeMX opened directly:and here opened from CubeIDE:My CubeIDE version:

i need some assistance with modelzoo . so first of all . i converted a dataset to darknet using converter.py than i trained it using train mode i had a 2.6mo  .h5 file  then i quatized it to 600kb .tflite file. but when i tried to deploy it i had an error saying just exception "wrong"  from compile.py file. so is there any assistances about this error and second of all i realized that despite modelzoo say that he can only deploy tflite models . there are some tflite models that he cannot deploy . ( i tried 4 different tflite models 1 was deployed and 3 did not) so is there any parameters or configurations i should know about  in builiding my model(conditions to be respected) so my model can be compatible with modelzoo

Hello everyone,I and my collegue have more than 20 years experience on embedded desing with MCUs. We have a problem which we haven't seen this kind of problem before. I guess someone can help us in here.MCU: STM32F756IDE: Project created from cubeMX and toughgfx, coded from IARThe main problem is our code jumps unknown address. We have custom bootloader, it runs first and jumps application. After it jumps user application, we initialize every peripherals again. We start freeRTOS kernel and toughgfx task. Actually the code runs well but, sometimes it couldn't run after user application starts. When we dig on it, we saw the code try to jump unknown address which is not on address space. (We get Hard fault or Bus fault or Mem Fault exeption)Anyway, we decided to remove bootloader and try to user code alone. At that moment the code started to do same thing at same location. The code starts from Reset_Handler, initializes stack pointer, goes to SystemInit, iar_program_start and jumps main. You

HI there, i m using F410 Nucleo, and i keep getting these errors when using USART2, as I declare in 2 separe files i.e. main.c and buffer.  could anyone advise how to resolve this?error: multiple definition of `huart2'; //main.c .. /* Private variables ---------------------------------------------------------*/ UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; .. /* USER CODE END USART2_Init 1 */ huart2.Instance = USART2; huart2.Init.BaudRate = 115200; huart2.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; huart2.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart2.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart2.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart2.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; huart2.Init.OverSampling = UART_OVERSAMPLING_16; // buffer.c #include "buffer.h" #include <string.h> /**** define the UART ****/ UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; // woldes #define uart &huart2 ..

This is a question about Receive Only Master (SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES_RXONLY).I was able to output the waveform shown in the attachment using Receive Only Master. However, no data is being received(tmp). Why is this? The process is performed in the following order:HAL_SPI_Receive_IT(&hspi2, tmp, data_size);HAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi4, g_rx_temp_register, data_size, 1000);hspi2(Receive Only Master)hspi4(Transmit Only Slave) About the waveform in the attached image1ch hspi2 clock2ch hspi2 MISO

In the CubeProg, (for instance) the RCC_D1CCIPR value names (*SRC) are different than in the RM 0433 (*SEL). Such things are a bit annoying, if one tries to find things by a keyword search, of if unsure about "is it really the same entity"? Can someone here pass this to the authors for fixing? Thank You! - CubeProgrammer v2.17.0- RM0433 Rev. 8, p. 496

The reference manual 0433 Rev 8, p. 900, section 23.5.5 says "This bitfield has no effect when in memory-mapped mode (FMODE = 10)." But p. 901, section 23.5.6 says: "11: Memory-mapped mode".Could someone please let the authors fix this?Thank you.

Hello,I have an ISR for TIM4 running on an STM32F2 microcontroller. The ISR triggers on a rising edge of the timer input channel, and its purpose is to record the microsecond timestamp of the last two rising edges in global variables for other parts of the firmware to use.void TIM4_IRQHandler(void){second_last_re_us = last_re_us;last_re_us = time_us();TIM4->SR = 0;}I notice that the ISR as written triggers twice on each rising edge. This is evident by last_re_us and second_last_re_us reading as equal, even when the PWM signal being input is only in the hundreds of hertz. If I move the IRQ flag clearing to the beginning of the ISR, or if I add barriers before returning from the ISR, the issue goes away, and the ISR gets called only once. This is evident by last_re_us minus second_last_re_us giving the expected period of the PWM signal I am inputting.void TIM4_IRQHandler(void){TIM4->SR = 0;second_last_re_us = last_re_us;last_re_us = time_us();} void TIM4_IRQHandler(void){second

Hello,I've noticed that the generated CMake projects (specifically, in the toolchain gcc-arm-none-eabi.cmake file), a now-deprecated (since version 3.6!) macro is used https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/module/CMakeForceCompiler.htmlI have to remove/comment out the use of these macros in my code due to it causing issues with other CMake libraries that I use in my project, which somewhat defeats the purpose of the CubeMX generated code to begin with.Hopefully this is seen by the right person and this issue is addressed. Thanks!

Hi Foued,I'm going to connect 10 BMI323 IMUs to STM32H503RB MCU by I3C bus. BEI323 supports I3C and dynamic addressing and 0x68 static address. Is it possible for I3C bus of STM32 to recognize all IMUs by assign different I3C addresses to make all of them working? Thanks! Yx

Hello.Looking for a reference circuit diagram of STM32F723VET6.If not, I'm looking for a circuit diagram of 32F723 EDISCOVERY.Please give me a link. The reason is that I want to use vdd as 1.8V instead of 3.3V, but I want to refer to it. think you.

Hi,I use the BLE_p2pServer example as a basis and would like to forward the transmitted data directly to the UART1 interface. My idea would be to use here (in p2p_server_app.c) a HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA() function, but I fail to access the data due to an incorrect type conversion. case P2P_SERVER_LED_C_WRITE_NO_RESP_EVT: /* USER CODE BEGIN Service1Char1_WRITE_NO_RESP_EVT */ if(p_Notification->DataTransfered.p_Payload[1] == 0x01) { // HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(huart, pData, Size); ... here i want to insert the UART transmission funkction BSP_LED_On(LED_BLUE); LOG_INFO_APP("-- P2P APPLICATION SERVER : LED1 ON\n"); P2P_SERVER_APP_Context.LedControl.Led1 = 0x01; /* LED1 ON */ } if(p_Notification->DataTransfered.p_Payload[1] == 0x00) { BSP_LED_Off(LED_BLUE); LOG_INFO_APP("-- P2P APPLICATION SERVER : LED1 OFF\n"); P2P_SERVER_APP_Context.LedControl.Led1 = 0x00; /* LED1 OFF */ } /* USER CODE END Service1Char1_WRITE_NO_RESP_EVT */ break; In p2p_server.h are the

Hi AllI have created a PCB where I want to use the OCTOSPI to communicate with a FPGA.I have difficulty finding accurate information on how the different memory types work. I already have a Hyperram running so I started there, that did also seem straight forward.I do currently only have FPGA code listening and is focusing on getting write to work.I slowed down the clk quite a bit to only fucus on functionality. Pre scale of 30 ~9.6MhzI would much like to have the FPGA memory mapped, so that's what I'm testing. When I write to address 0x91234568 (0x90000000) is octospi1 basewith the data of 0x87654321 then i get following sequence in hex:20 12 34 56 00 04 43 21 87 65The Data is easy, that's just different order 43 21 87 65 instead of 87 65 43 21The 20 seems to be CMDThe Address (in correct order) 12 34 56 (but then always 00 00 or 00 04) as the last, I seem to lack the last nibble of the Address.  The RWDS Seems a bit early.if I Change to 0x91234560  then  t

EMB1428QSQ/NOPB is used which has the frequency of the 1.1MHz fclk and the SPI2 of STM32F469BIT7 is going as a clock to it. I need the minimum value of the SPI2 master that can be fed to the EMB1428QSQ/NOPB. Also, where can I find the minimum frequency of the communication interfaces , I have used the USART and SPI2.

Regarding the problem that CTSIZE becomes 0x01 after SPI communication is completed,In our program, SPI-SR-CTSIZE becomes 0x01 after SPI communication is completed. In that state, if we try to perform the next SPI communication, a timeout error occurs in the middle of the communication. When SPI-SR-CTSIZE = 0, no timeout error occurs. Is there any way to set SPI-SR-CTSIZE (= TSIZE number of frames in a session) to 0?Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Using the latest SM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0 and the lorawan middleware. For MAC v1.0.4 the devnonce and other parameters needs to get persisted to the flash.  From what I see this happens when LmHandlerNvmDataStore is called. But from the looks of it, this is never called?  I assume I am missing a file somewhere!?Any idea where and when this function is getting called?

I am programing the STM32L4S9AII6 using the STM32L4R9I-EVAL board. My application requires the use of 5 different SPI buses, but the STM32L4S9AII6 only has 3 standard SPIs. However, it has 2 Octospi buses that I understand can be configured to be standard SPIs. Is this true or have I been mislead? Can someone shed some light on how to configure an Octospi as a standard full-duplex spi? Preferably using MxCube. More specifically, I want it to be equivalent to this standard SPI configuration:

Hi there Touchgfx team! I have this UI requirement of a line with a drop shadow: In Figma the line has 3 pixels. I found another post to do it with the alpha value but it doesn't feel the same. I'm using a line with a width of 3. Any ideas? Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there Touchgfx team!I've this ui requirement: A header with battery, date/time, battery, and extra icon. I also have 15 different screens. The model receives a signal from the backend and thats how it knows that it needs to show the USB icon. I know how to do a notify from model -> view, and I know I could do this for the 15 different screens. The problem I'm facing is that the USB icon needs to appear in the other screens if the user goes to a different screen. I know I could also setup a flag in the model and get the vale in the setupScreen() My question is: is there an easier way to do this? I would like to avoid creating 15 different propagation functions for the USB, and other 15 for the other icon. I was thinking about creating a custom container and updating it from the model just once, and somehow all the views with the container will update. I have the same question for the "date/time" text. At this moment, each view has a function that calls the

I am using STM32F105xx family, working with HAL_SPI API.  I have discovered that the call to HAL_SPI_Receive_IT causes whatever data is in the provided buffer to be clocked out on MOSI.  This issue is also discussed to some extent in this thread, but that thread is more focused on fixing the system behavior than discussing whether it's actually a bug in HAL.  So...am I crazy or is this a bug?  If I call a "Receive" method that only takes a receive buffer, I shouldn't expect it to transmit that data, should I?I'm working with TI's ADS1258 ADC which has a "direct read" mode meaning no command needs to be sent to read the next conversion result (technically, it watches the first three bits of MOSI; if they are all 1s or all 0s, it ignores the rest of MOSI and continues clocking out data on MISO for 32 bits).  If there is stale data in the buffer provided to HAL_SPI_Receive_IT, and that data happens to have a first byte that the ADS1258 recognizes as a co

I'm trying to program a P-Nucleo WB55 USB Dongle (PCB number MB1293C) with the BLE_TransparentModeVCP example. Using STM32 Cube Programmer: 1. Load FUS V1.20.0 - stm32wb5x_FUS_fw.bin at 0x803A0002. Load  BLE Stack V1.- stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin at 0x80110003. Load BLE_TransparentModeVCP_reference.hex (from P-NUCLEO-WB55.USBDongle directory) at 0x800000 I get a single green LED on the board and it appears as a COM port on the PC, but STM32CubeMonitor-RF is unable to connect to it. Any suggestions?
