Hi everyone!I am having a hard time making my design work.I prepared a long list of what I did and what I observed to paste into ChatGPT.I am pasting the exact text below:I designed an digital circuit using STM32F417VGT microcontroller.I applied 3.3V to all VDD, VDDA, VBAT and VREF+ pins.I connected all VSS and VSSA pins to the circuit ground (GND).I connected all required bypass capacitors to the power pins as instructed in the datasheet.I added 2.2uF/6.3V ceramic capacitors to the both VCAP pins.I added 32.768kH and 25MHz crystal oscillators to the correct clock pins.I connected the BOOT1 pin to GND.I tried connecting the BOOT0 pin to VDD and GND at separate times.I have several similar designs, which I previously designed before this one.In these similar designs, I exactly did the same connections I listed above.These similar designs work perfectly fine.But my current design does not work.I am using StmCubeMxIde (latest version).I checked the pin connections several times.I can conf

Hi,I'm working with the nucleo-wb15cc board. The program itself is working great but I encounter issues everytime I unplug/replug the USB cable during operation:The program reports HAL_TIMEOUT druing SystemClock_Config(). To be more specific, it gets stucked in the while loop here:  /* Check the LSE State */ if (RCC_OscInitStruct->LSEState != RCC_LSE_OFF) { /* Get Start Tick*/ tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); /* Wait till LSE is ready */ while (LL_RCC_LSE_IsReady() == 0U) { if ((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > RCC_LSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE) { return HAL_TIMEOUT; } } } else......  I see from the clock diagram that LSE is involved in RTC Clock Mux and RFWKP Clock Mux.BOOT0 is pulled to GND according to schematic.I figured out a way to go around the issue, of which I also don't understand the mechanism: by flashing the Heart_Rate example codes and reflashing my own codes, the program can run again without any issues. However, I need to reflash my codes twice because I'l

Hi All,  I want to read all ADC channels from the nucleo c031C6 using DMA all channels should be read continuously. For example 1k samples per seccond. I have tried to configure lots of different approaches in the CubeMX, but I can not figure it out. Can anyone give me a hint on how to set ADC and DMA settings in CubeMX? Cheers

When using STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0 to write a user key via STM32_Programmer_CLI for a WB55, if we are connected via usb1 (DFU) we see the selected key index of the written key. However, if we run this over SWD, no key index is returned. In an environment where DFU is not available and we need to write user keys, how can we view the index the key was written to? We can confirm that the key is being written as when we toggle back and forth with the nucleo board between SWD and usb1, the usb1 output shows an incremented key index. Example with -c port=usb1./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -wusrkey some_key.bin keytype=1 Example with -c port=SWD./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=SWD -wusrkey some_key.bin keytype=1 Thanks!

Hello,I have been trying to read/write into an SD card using the SPI or SDMMC method with Fatfs. I wasn't able to make use of the filex option for file operation which is provided in the STM32u5A9 libraries, since I am using FreeRTOS in my project (as per notes, Filex cannot be used with FreeRTOS). So, I have taken the FatFs library from STM32F4 design and ported the same to STM32U5A9 design (took reference from https://deepbluembedded.com/stm32-sd-card-spi-fatfs-tutorial-examples/). Unfortunately, in both SPI and SDMMC methods, I was not able to initialize my SD card and the application keep on waiting for SPI Rx data in SPI mode, and in SDMMC method, the application keeps on waiting in a HAL_Delay() in HAL_SD_initcard() APIIs there any known issues in this board type? Can you point any working examples for STM32U5A9 with FatFs and FreeRTOS? Your support is much appreciated!Thanks & Regards

Hi, I am trying to build the 'Getting Started with Image Classification' project from STM Model Zoo on STMCube IDE. However, whenever I try to build the project I keep getting this error:  "fatal error: ../Components/adv7533/adv7533.h: No such file or directory" There does not seem to be a directory for adv7533 anywhere in the project. Any idea where I can obtain the required files to build the project?

Hello everyone, I'm working with the STM32F103RB controller and have encountered an issue with the RTC functionality. While the time continues to update correctly when powered off (with VBAT enabled), the date resets to the default 01/01/2000 instead of retaining or updating the current date. Has anyone experienced this behavior before, or can provide guidance on why only the time updates but not the date? Any advice on possible solutions or steps to troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

I am trying to flash STM32G431 (UFQFPN32 5x5) Other STM devices like x103 are flashing just fine, but this one fails.I even desoldered it from the actual project PCB, and hooked it up with the four SWD pins only, and still fail.the main difference may me that it had a 24Mhz clock source, and then had ..nothing.Is there any reason to believe that this chip needs anything more than SWDIO, SWCLK, and 3v3,GND to program? - (NRST is not connected)..or maybe those are a bit more picky about wire lengths/firmware version etc?

Hello,I’m working with the STM32H735, and I need to enter bootloader mode to program the microcontroller. I modify the SYSCFG->UR2 register to set the address to 0x1FF00000, then perform a software reset. I use this method because I have no control over the BOOT0 pin (it's directly connected to GND) and the reset pin. After the reset, I use STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe to program the microcontroller with the following python script:   import subprocess # Define the path to STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe stm32_cli_path = "STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe" # Define the commands to be executed command1 = [stm32_cli_path, "-c", "port=COM7", "br=115200", "-rdu"] command2 = [stm32_cli_path, "-c", "port=COM7", "br=115200", "-e", "all", "-w", "Test.hex", "-v", "-ob", "rdp=0xBB"] try: # Execute the first command result1 = subprocess.run(command1, capture_output=True, text=True, check=True) print("Command 1 Output:") print(result1.stdout) # Execute the second command result2 = subproc

Issue: I am working with the STM32U5G9J-DK2 board using USB CDC-ACM in device mode, generated using CubeMX. However, I am encountering an issue where the application USB port is not recognized in the Device Manager. Only the ST-LINK Virtual COM Port appears, and there is no additional COM port for the USB CDC device.What I Have Tried:I generated the project using CubeMX and made sure to configure USB_OTG_HS in CDC-ACM mode.After generating the code, I followed the standard procedure and used the example code from the following link:  https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5/tree/main/Projects/STM32U5G9J-DK2  When I run the code, it gets stuck in the USB core reset function (USB_CoreReset();).I am providing power through the application USB port, but it still does not appear in the Device Manager.Questions:Do I need to short any specific pin or connection on the STM32U5G9J-DK2 board to enable the application USB port for detection?Could this issue be related

We are trying to transmit data using SPI6 and BDMA.When we perform the following process, we are able to transmit 1 byte + 1 bit of data, but after that, MISO outputs High no matter what the value of the transmitted data is. What is wrong with this?   #define __ATTR_RAM_D3 __attribute__ ((section(".RAM_D3"))) __attribute__ ((aligned (4))) uint8_t g_spitxbuf[4] __ATTR_RAM_D3; // DCDC基板温度センサ模擬_送信バッファ uint8_t rx_buf[2] = {0}; uint8_t tx_buf[2] = {0}; /* SPI3_CS High出力 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOF, GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PIN_SET); /* SPI3_CLKを有効 */ __HAL_SPI_ENABLE(&hspi5); /* SPI3_CS Low出力 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOF, GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PIN_RESET); g_spitxbuf[0] = 0xA5; g_spitxbuf[1] = 0x00; g_result = HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi6, g_spitxbuf, rx_buf, 2); g_result = HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&hspi5, tx_buf, rx_buf, 2, 1000); /* SPI3_CS High出力 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOF, GPIO_PIN_6, GPIO_PIN_SET);

I noticed there are no STM32H747xx devices available for project creation from VS Code (it lists only through STM32H743xx). Is there any timeline on getting that device support in VS Code?

Hello, I'm using H723 Nucleo. I set 5 ext interrupt pins: PA0, PA1, PA4, PC2_C, and PC13 as EXTI to 5 switches, enabled NVIC interrupt, GPIO pull-up,  interrupt with rising edge triggered, and tied these 5 pins to switches with the other end to ground. The code is working fine, but I observe that only 1 interrupt (either 1 of the 5 switches) can work at any one time, and all 5 interrupts cannot work together at any instance... is this interrupt conflict on H7? Anyone can advise?      if (GPIO_Pin == GPIO_PIN_0) { // on LED1 }

Hey everyone!I'm trying to detect the rotations of my rotary encoder. I used external interrupts to detect when the state of the pin changes. My problem is that it seems like when the encoder bounces the interrupt gets triggered, but the state doesn't change. How can that be? The only thing I can think of is that when I read the pin with HAL_GPIO_ReadPin inside the interrupt it has already changed. Can that happen? I would assume that the contents of the IDR are locked while the interrupt is running, but I could find any information about this.Here is the minimal code from my project. uint8_t get_rotary_state() { GPIO_PinState A_state = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(ENCODER_A_GPIO_Port, ENCODER_A_Pin); GPIO_PinState B_state = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(ENCODER_B_GPIO_Port, ENCODER_B_Pin); return (B_state << 1) + A_state; } uint8_t rotary_prev_state = 0; void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_pin) { if (GPIO_pin == ENCODER_A_Pin || GPIO_pin == ENCODER_B_Pin) { uint8_t rotary_current_stat

Hello, Actually am using STM32H5 board am able to load the secure manager using ST-Link Debugger but i would like to load the secure manager using usb dfu mode, is there any possiblity to load it.

I have this working keras model: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/544ma5tsndw3cjv8djem0/model.keras?rlkey=87845alu8vki9y81kb7tjgrab&dl=1 and I am trying to load it into X-CUBE-AI 8.1.0  When I hit Analyze I get this error: Neural Network Tools for STM32 family v1.7.0 (stm.ai v8.1.0-19520) E010(InvalidModelError): Couldn't load Keras model C:\[redacted]\model.keras, Error when deserializing class 'InputLayer' using config={'batch_shape': [None, 128, 173, 1], 'dtype': 'float32', 'sparse': False, 'name': 'input_layer_1'}. Exception encountered: Unrecognized keyword arguments: ['batch_shape']How can I solve this?

I am using STM32H7B3I-DK running a touchgfx application and acting as SPI Master, and Nucleo-H743ZI as SPI Slave. Both are configured in interrupt mode not using HWNSS. The Master is sending 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 but the slave is receiving random numbersI am sending one byte at a time and receiving one byte then adding it to a buffer. I want to avoid HAL overhead as much as possible as the data needs to be close to real time. The Master seems to send quickly enough using HAL_SPI_Transmit; however, the slave would only receive every other byte, hence the avoidance of HAL on the Slave side.The master is properly sending data, as checked by oscilloscope. I have double checked the compatible settings for Master-Slave communication in the .ioc files such as Data Size, First Bit, etc...Here is my following relevant code for the master:  hspi2.Instance = SPI2; hspi2.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi2.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi2.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASI

I am writing my own SPI driver, and using two B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards to test them; one as an SPI master and one as a slave. On the master device, whenever I enable the SPE bit in the function SPI_Transmit(), it never actually sets to '1', even though the configuration registers are set to the programmed values. Why is this?Here is the initialization function for the slave device. I am using the HAL SPI handlers so I could debug the SPI registers: void SPI2_Init_Slave(SPI_HandleTypeDef * hspi) { /************** STEPS TO FOLLOW ***************** 1. Wait for the TXE bit to set in the Status Register 2. Write the data to the Data Register 3. After the data has been transmitted, wait for the BSY bit to reset in Status Register 4. Clear the Overrun flag by reading DR and SR ************************************************/ hspi->Instance = SPI2; if(hspi->Instance->CR1 & SPI_CR1_SPE) { SPI_Disable(hspi); } SPI_MspInit(hspi); //enable the clocks for the periphera

Hi,I am working on regression from RDP1 to RDP0 with OEM1KEY but made from inside and not by external debugger.I want  device to be able to make self unlocking.As I read in documentation RM0456, OEM1KEY unlock sequence requires:Shift OEM1KEY[31:0] then OEM1KEY[63:32] through JTAG or SWD in theDBGMCU_DBG_AUTH_HOST.Questions:1. Is it possible to do OEM1KEY unlock sequence (write DBGMCU_DBG_AUTH_HOST register) from firmware code ?2. Lets assume simpler scenario. OEM1KEY has been never programmed. Does it possible to do regression RDP1->RDP0 from internal Firmware ? I've got stuck on SET_BIT(FLASH->NSCR, FLASH_NSCR_OPTSTRT) and I had to make manual POR and manually change RDP level using debugger. Flash probably was erased.I've read the topicSolved: How to process RDP regression from appplication co... - STMicroelectronics Communitybut this topic doesnt answer on given questions!!! Movie on youtube also doesnt give the answers.Please explain it in details.Thanks

I'm trying to develop an AI model and integrate it into the STEVAL-STWINKT1B board to classify the noise of industrial engines. How do I implement the generated library in nano edge ai so that the board shows the classification by obtaining data from sensors in real time? I followed the steps in this documentation, but I was unsuccessful. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/AI:How_to_perform_anomaly_detection_using_FP-AI-MONITOR1

This is a question about programming style, preferences, efficiency, and risk.We are working on a state machine were multiple conditions are checked for a potential state transition. We are debating what is better, safer, more efficient, or simply more elegant: goto LABEL, or if else()  blocks?  The goto statement is simple, but if else() blocks are perhaps more robust in a team environment. See options 1 and 2 below. What do you recommend? Thanks!Option 1: if (condition_1 true){  [do something]  goto END_OF STATE;}if (condition_2 true)  [do something]  goto END_OF STATE;Option 2:if (condition_1 true)  [do something]else if (condition_2 true){  [do something]}

Hi I'm not very experienced with Zigbee, but I have a ZGPD power measuring device on my desk I'd like to get the data from. With a 802.15.4 sniffer i see he's asking for a channel (command 0xe3) within the first 5 minutes after startup. He's also broadcasting data (ZGP stub NWK header data) every 5 seconds, I guess some kind of commissioning request. I've never seen any kind of response from my WPAN coordinator server sample running on STM32WB55.Is it possible to handle this devices with the current WPAN middleware? Couldn't find any samples.Best regardsArmin see also: Green Power Device cluster missing in CubeMX ?
