When I try to compile a inherit project I get this error:c:/st/stm32cubeide_1.17.0/stm32cubeide/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.make.win32_2.2.0.202409170845/tools/bin/sh: syntax error: unexpected "("make[1]: *** [makefile:92: post-build] Error 2make: *** [makefile:60: all] Error 2Can someone please help me? I read that it is something related with the post Build, as I am using b-plus for CAN can it be related? The error says that there is an unexpected "(" but my IDE is installed in C:// directlyThank you in advance

Hi, I have X_NUCLEO-53L5A1 expansion board. I connected this board to ESP8266 inorder to use the VL53L5CX sensor. But the sensor is not being detected.#include <Wire.h> void setup() { Serial.begin(115200); Wire.begin(4, 5); // GPIO4 (SDA), GPIO5 (SCL) Serial.println("\nI2C Scanner - Searching for devices..."); } void loop() { byte error, address; int nDevices = 0; Serial.println("Scanning..."); for (address = 1; address < 127; address++) { Wire.beginTransmission(address); error = Wire.endTransmission(); if (error == 0) { Serial.print("I2C device found at address 0x"); Serial.println(address, HEX); nDevices++; } } if (nDevices == 0) Serial.println("No I2C devices found."); else Serial.println("Scan complete."); delay(5000); // Repeat scan every 5 seconds } I get an output saying no devices found. After researching about it, I found that the sensor is not enabled. How do I enable the sensor and make it work.  Connections:X_NUCLEO-53L5A1&n

Hi,just made an update of CubeMX from 6.11.1 to 6.14.The problem I have is that our comments within user blocks were ISO-8859-1 encoded and this never was a problem until now and with 6.14, when we generate code, all Umlauts are replaced with the UTF-8 sequence EF BF BD.Is there an option to tell CubeMX to use ISO-8859-1 for reading and encoding?

Dear Gfx Team,Could you please make the auto-hiding taskbar in Windows accessible (mouse hits the screen edge) when the Designer is in full-screen mode ?Thanks

I have read the document RM0433 and AN4235, but the calculation is still a puzzle. For example, if my I2C frequency = 1MHz, I2C clock source frequency = 170MHz, AF=on, DF=off, rise time = 80ns, fail time = 10ns, how do you get the SCLH = 0x10 and SCLL = 0x31? Why is low period 3 times as long as high period?I would like to use SCLH to increase the high clock period, as it is at the edge of the spec. It is not clear what parameter I shall change to increase SCLH.Thanks.

Hi team, I have a question about L9396 VBST and VB voltage. The normal operation voltage rage of VBST and VB pin is (-0.1V,19V), and the absolute maxmum ratings of VBST and VB pin is  (-0.3V,40V). So, in case that the voltage is (19V, 40V), what will L9396 behave? If there is any error flag?   Thanks, Paul

I think the correct one should be nBOOT0_SEL(bit) = 0 as in previous version. Please verify.

My very smart technicians say they can cut SB16 from +3V3 and they can solder a 3V CR2032 battery socket onto the STM32H747I-DISCO board safely. It is not an easy job they say. I agree.Unfortunately, STM does not provide a battery backup socket for us on most of the development boards including STM32H747I-DISCO board...Now my question is:If I have battery backup RAM installed and I turn the discovery board on, the CubeMX generated RTC initialization function will modify (overwrite) the RTC date and time registers to its default value. This is what I must avoid because the RTC already contains the exact date and time measured while the board was switched off. How can I do this? Thanks,Louis

The compiler is correctly warning about an int to char conversion for the following code from syscalls.c:extern int __io_getchar(void) __attribute__((weak)); ... __attribute__((weak)) int _read(int file, char *ptr, int len) { (void)file; int DataIdx; for (DataIdx = 0; DataIdx < len; DataIdx++) { *ptr++ = __io_getchar(); // Warning here } return len; }Whilst the behaviour here is as intended (assuming EOF is not expected), the warning is a pain for any projects using -Wconversion.Could this please be fixed by adding a cast?*ptr++ = ( char )__io_getchar();This is for an STM32G484CEUx device, if that's important.

Hi folksI have a problem that seems to common in the SPI field, specifically the idle state of the SCK pin. My application needs a clock low idle state and after the turn on, it goes to high, corrupting the communication with an external SPI flash memory. I'm using STM32 CubeIDE 1.18.0I read here in the forum and internet two workarounds:1.- Turn on the pull-down resistor on the SCK pin.2.- Send a dummy byte without changing the CS state.But those are good methods? What is the advice in this case?Here is the SPI init code:static void MX_SPI1_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_Init 1 */ /* SPI1 parameter configuration*/ hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT;

Good day ST community! I am a newbie in microcontrollers and only used arduino boards so far. I am looking for tutorials and manuals for fabricating a SPC570S40E1 microcontroller board and program it using  SPC5-UDESTK. I opened this case to the ST online support team but suggested that I should seek help from ST community veterans. Thank you in advance

Hi,The specifications mention multi-protocol support for 4-(G)FSK, 2-(G)FSK, (G)MSK, DBPSK, DSSS, and ASK. However, the reference manual does not explicitly mention GMSK.Can the device demodulate GMSK directly through register settings, or is it only possible via raw IQ data and external software processing?Best RegardsArne

Hi, MY name is Metropolis and search support for reading and write this mcu. Mcu is spc570s, i'm search information on web and not have find. Thanks for you support, i'm search Data sheet correct and tools for reading and write. King Regard

Hey I have a Custom Board with a STM32H743IIT6 (Rev V) (My IOC is attached) i have a clock source with 25 MHZ, and the SDCARD is connected over 4 Bits, and Clock Divider 5.My code runs on main function in to the Error_Handler with Reason "HAL_SD_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_FEATURE" when no SD-Card is inserted. When i insert a SD-Card befor i powered up, the code runs and the LED is blinking in 1 sec.is this a bug? why must i inserted a sdcard for the boot sequence?main.c:int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */ /* MPU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ MPU_Config(); /* Enable the CPU Cache */ /* Enable I-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableICache(); /* Enable D-Cache---------------------------------------------------------*/ SCB_EnableDCache(); /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash int

Colleagues,Can STM32WL or WB be programmed to function as a baseband chip (with an external mixer) ?I’m looking for ICs which would help me build an HF radio link. My bands of interest are 14 MHz and 28 MHz amateur bands. I like the STM32WL33, because it has a lot of modulation options.Best regards,- Nick

Hello,I am reading the documentation of the STEVAL-PTOOL4A, I have noticed that it is equipped with a TRIG_X  to enable/disable the DC/DC booster. I don't know if I understood well its functionality, but It will mainly turn on/off all the board including the MCU. So each time, we trigger, the MCU will execute from the reset_handler right? But maybe I want to keep the MCU on always, and I want to scan an input and when it is On, it will turn on or off the motor depending on its status. How it could be done by TRIG_X? Or I should use in this case another GPIO and I configure it manually? For example could I use the one of the potentiometer instead? Thank you

What is the default value of the DBANK bit in STM32G4 MCUs. According to the reference manual, flash memory address 0x1FFF 7800 has that option bit, and the ST production value is 0xFFEF F8AA, which would make DBANK default to 1. Does this mean STM32G4 MCUs have DBANK flash enabled by default, and do I need to do anything further to set it to DBANK? Or will it always be enabled out of the factory?

How to create simple non secure only project for STM32N6570-DK on CubeMX to use on board peripherals. by default it creates project with the FBL, secure, non-secure for this device.

Hi,I am using STM32C071CBT6 chip on my custom board. From datasheet, i could see that there are two versions available - GP and N version. Part number section of datasheet mention about 3 more characters after this part no. to identify if it is N version. Does above description means that there will be letter 'N' at the end of part no. to identify it as N version? And if no letters are present after part no. (i.e. blank ) means it is GP version? My chip on board is as below:Am i right that this is GP version chip and not N version? Thanks,Pradeep

Hii, I want to update the firmware of my STM32H723ZGT6 microcontroller. Here, I want to send firmware file from server to W5500 Wiznet IC then I want that this firmware should load in to the microcontroller flash and it should update the program so can anyone help me with this??

Hello, I am working on the development of a bootloader for the STM32L4S5ZIT6, and I need help to implement a feature where the bootloader is triggered after receiving a user request in the main application (the main app saves a marker in memory). Here is what I am trying to achieve: The main application saves a marker (a magic number) in memory. After jumping to the bootloader, the bootloader checks for the presence of this marker. If the marker is found, the bootloader proceeds to execute (e.g., triggering a firmware update). If the marker is not found, the bootloader jumps back to the main application. My question     Is SRAM backup (BKPSRAM) the best place to store the marker? If so, could anyone provide me with the exact address of BKPSRAM for the STM32L4S5ZIT6 (I couldn't find it in the user manual)? If BKPSRAM isn't suitable, can you propose another solution for saving the marker in a persistent memory region that survives resets? I tried using SRAM to store a marke

Hi there, I'm under mass production with yours STM32L051x8 device. I use the internal EEPROM to keep some data. Note that is not en emulation eeprom on flash, is just 512bytes on internal EEPROM. In addition, I protect my code with ReadOutProtection Level =1. Seems that when I update the version of customer firmware, the EEPROM data is erased. Seems that jumping from Level1 to Level0 produce a mass erase, and in consequence, the EEPROM is erased as well. I would like to know if I'm right. Jumping from Level1 to Level0 produce a mass erase, that produce erase the internal EEPROM as well?   Thanks a lot.

Hi everyone,I want to use my evaluation board's RTC Backup Registers to store some info when not powered. In order to do that i want to connect an CR2032 battery to the Vbat pin of the controller. Below is the part of the schematics of the board showing Vbat connections. Do i need to dismount R52 and connect the battery positive directly to Vbat there and battery negative to GND? Is this operation sufficient for my purpose? Thanks in advance...
