Hello,I am using an STM32H7 MCU with STM32CubeIDE to communicate with a BiSS-C encoder in SPI RXONLY Master mode.My goal is to generate 64 SCK clocks every 10ms without delay. However, I am observing the following issue: Each time I call HAL_SPI_Receive(), SCK stays low for around 10 microseconds before the clock output starts. This happens regardless of SPI speed. At 1MHz SPI clock, the delay is around 10us.At 2MHz SPI clock, the delay reduces to about 5us.But there is always some delay before the first SCK pulse. The same code and settings on an STM32F103 board do not show this delay.I already tried RXONLY and FULLDUPLEX modes, manual NSS control, enabling and disabling NSS Pulse mode, but the result is the same.SPI settings:hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES_RXONLY; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT

I am planning to purchase the EVLSTGAP3S6S evaluation board for my research. While reviewing the datasheet, I noticed that the board is specified to support a high-voltage rail of up to 520 V, limited by the MOSFETs and capacitors. However, I observed that:The board uses SCTH60N120G2-7 SiC MOSFETs, which are rated at 1200 V, 60 A.The film capacitor used (C4) is rated at 1.1 kV (Panasonic ECWFG1B335J).Given that both components have voltage ratings above 1 kV, I would like to understand why the maximum voltage rail is limited to 520 V. I need to assess whether the board can support higher voltage operation (e.g., up to 800 V DC). Could anyone kindly clarify the reason for the 520 V limitation?

When upgrading to versions 6.13 and 6.14, regenerating the project would force the file encoding to UTF-8, causing garbled Chinese comments. However, adding a line -Dfile.encoding=GBK in the STM32CubeMX.l4j.ini file under the installation folder could solve the problem. But after upgrading to version 6.15, this command seems to have become ineffective. Even if the system variable is added, the regenerated code will still be forced to UTF-8 encoding. Using UTF-8 is rather troublesome. Does anyone know how to change it to GBK encoding?

Hello everyone!We are trying to enable the RTC with FreeRTOS on the STM32U575AII6. The settings are as follows:1.RCC2.RTC3.Clock4.freeRTOSCodevoid Debug_Printf(char *format, ...) { char buf[128]; va_list args; va_start(args, format); uint16_t len = vsnprintf((char *)buf, sizeof(buf), (char *)format, args); va_end(args); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1 ,(uint8_t *)buf,len,150); } void RTCTask(void *argument) { /* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_TASK */ RTC_DateTypeDef Date; RTC_TimeTypeDef Time; /* Infinite loop */ for(;;) { HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &Time, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &Date, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); Debug_Printf("%02d:%02d:%02d\n",Time.Hours, Time.Minutes, Time.Seconds); osDelay(1000); } /* USER CODE END RTC_TASK */ } and the result output"10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10:10:01\n""10

Hi,I'm not new to STM32 frimware, however, this is my first with H755. I have uploaded a simple LED flash project to both cores. The LED timing is based on uwTick, but Systick is not firing!Green LED via M4, Yellow LED via M7.If I change the code M4 to:- /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { GPIOE->ODR ^= 0x02; /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */And code for M7 to:-  /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { GPIOB->ODR ^= 0x01; /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */ } Stepping through the program manually, both LEDs toggle as expected. When I run without breaks, the Green LED toggles full speed (as expected), however, the Yellow LED toggles about once per second!I created the project from CubeIDE - just the basic project from the Nucleo-H755ZI-Q template.Win11, Cube Version:-Version: 1.19.0Build: 25607_20250703_0907 (UTC) STM32 FW_H7 1.12

HelloI'm an amateur Touchgfx user.I've completed many challenging tasks with Touchgfx, but I need a very simple one.I want to set the output port high for the duration of a keystroke.I used the ClickListener instructions in the program, but they didn't work.I tried creating Box1 the same way and it works perfectly. With this code, it works while I hold the button down, and stops when I release it, just as I wanted.void BRHZLView::boxClickHandler( const Box& b, const ClickEvent& evt){if (evt.getType() == ClickEvent::PRESSED) {HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOG, BZR_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET);HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, PST_I_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET);} else if(evt.getType() == ClickEvent::RELEASED){HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOG, BZR_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET);HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOB, PST_I_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET);}But the flexbutton group keeps giving definition errors, and the program won't compile.I'm using Stm32h7b3i Evk, and the definitions in the base file don't match the definitions at https://support.touchgfx.com/do

Hello,My custom HW with STM32H757 does not have boot0 port access. Is there a way to jump to the System Memory Bootloader from user application ?Thanks and Regards,Taehyuk

So, I followed the following video step by step for a "project with a custom board" (video minute 13:04)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbdFHmMOMwkI am working on an STM32G0B1CBT6The code is generated and can be built, but as soon as I enable the Utilities->GUI_INTERFACE in CubeMX, the generated code results in a Hardfault during initialisation ( to be specific in the in the file Utilities-> GUI_INTERFACE->bsp_gui.c) during execution of the line number 80, that is    if ((0xFFFFFFFFu != *((uint32_t *)_addr)) && (MagicNumber != *((uint64_t *)_addr)))   Any hints on how to proceed debugging? Thanks!

Hello,I'm experiencing somme issues on the ST25R3911B with the TIM/NRE IRQ firing, even after the end of receive (but without the nrt_emv flag).> Basically the nrt_on flag is on even after receive, and I'm forced to send a CLEAR_FIFO/ STOP to stop this timer instead of having it stopped automatically. I saw some errata references in the RFAL source code, but I don't find the errata documentation on the component webpage. Maybe I missed something, or can you please help me to find it? - https://www.st.com/en/nfc/st25r3911b.html#documentationBonus part: if you have the documentation and errata for ST25R3911 (not B) too, I will be interested. Thank you in advance for your help :)

Application : We are developing a AC switching circuit using dual MOSFET configuration. The application is for driving the 208VAC, 480VAC, 40A AC heaters to control its temperature.1. Is it preferred to use MOSFET or IGBT for this?2. Which MOSFET series is preferred for this application? We are planning to use switching frequency of 5-10HzAlso can i get the I^2t value of TO247-4 and TO247-3 package MOSFETs , as we are looking for through hole package MOSFETsRegards,Meghana

This is a follow up to my previous post at:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32f103ret6-bare-metal-spi3/m-p/819878#M282227I got the boards built, and I'm starting testing.  SPI3 is not functional, so I started stepping through and checking SFRs.  One problem I'm having is that PB3 (SCK) and PB5 (MOSI) refuse to configure as alternate function push pull. In lines 26-33 below, PA15 goes to output, alternate function push pull just fine.  But PB3 and PB5 will only go to output, and open drain.  In line 35, I even tried to force the mode bits to "10" (alternate function push pull), and when I observe the mode bits for PA3 and PA5, they get set to "11" (alternate function output open drain).  My current attempt at SPI3 initialization is:void init_spi3(void) { // Note on ref manual page 699: need to disable JTAG because SPI3 conflicts with JTAG pins // Enable AFIO clock RCC->APB2ENR |= RCC_APB2ENR_AFIOEN; //(VERIFIED set properly by st

I am working with the NUCLEO-WL55 board and trying to generate PWM on multiple pins.PWM output works fine on normal channels (e.g., TIM2 CH4 on PB11, TIM17 CH1 on PB9),but I cannot get any PWM signal on TIM1 CH3N (PB15).  HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_3);HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_4);HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim17, TIM_CHANNEL_1); __HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim1, TIM_CHANNEL_3, 200);    //ledpin pb15 ch3n__HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_4, 300);    //ledpin pb11 ch4__HAL_TIM_SET_COMPARE(&htim17, TIM_CHANNEL_1, 500);  //ledpin pb9 ch1  Is there a specific configuration required to enable the complementary output (CH3N) on TIM1?Does CH3N require enabling the complementary outputs or any special polarity settings in CubeMX?Could this be a hardware limitation of the NUCLEO-WL55 board?  Any guidance or working example for TIM1 CH3N (PB15) PWM would be appreciated.

Dear ST motor control experts:      I am currently debugging a PMSM using MCSDK6.3.2, with the following components: MCU: STM32G473QET6, control board: B-G473E-ZEST1S, power board: STEVEL-LVLP01. However, the motor fails to start. Upon inspection, it was found that the issue is caused by the R3_GetMeasurements() function. After MCI_START == Mci[M1].DirectCommand, the PWM is initiated, and when sampling and saving data for current and voltage, many function addresses change. Specifically, in the function R3_GetMeasurements(), there is a line of code: PWMC_R3_Handle_t * pHandle = (PWMC_R3_Handle_t *)pHdl. Is there a problem here? Because performing a cast on a pointer may cause memory boundary errors. Is this the reason?I hope to receive a reply. Thanks!

I was following the Application note document on [AN2659](https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an2659-stm8-inapplication-programming-iap-using-a-customized-userbootloader-stmicroelectronics.pdf) as my purpose was to implement a custom bootloader on stm8 for firmware update. This application note mentions an example code that comes with this application note but i am not able to find that example code mentioned anywhere. I will be grateful if someone can help me find that out.

Hello everyone,I use a STM32G473VEH (TFBGA-100 package) and use it as USB PD sink:The device is bus poweredCC1 and DBCC1 are connected (same for CC2 and DBCC2) to provide dead battery functionality (provide 5.1 kOhm pull down on CC)USB C connector pins are directly connected to CC1/DBCC1 and CC2/DBCC2 (no special protection ic is used)When connecting the USB PD supply the CCx line is pulled down and after it is stable for 100ms - 125ms (depending on the power supply) the 5V are provided. When microcontroller is running, the UCPD is requesting 20V and this usually works. Here is a osci screenshot of a working negotiation (C3 is the Vbus voltage, C2 is the CC line voltage): BUT sometimes the negotation fails in the early stage. The USB PD source will not provide 5V.According to the standard the CC line must be stable for > 100ms. Right after connection the voltage falls from 3.3V to 1.65V (due to the Rp/Rd resistors). Then there is a further drop after ~60ms which will appear peri

Any working sample code for stm32wle5cc in the examples?

According to Wikipedia The MODBUS uses the CRC-16-ANSI also known as CRC-16-IBM. The normal hexadecimal algebraic polynomial being 8005 and reversed A001Initial value: 65,535.Example of frame in hexadecimal: 01 04 02 FF FF B8 80(CRC-16-ANSI calculation for the 5 bytes from 01 to FF  gives 80B8 which is transmitted least significant byte first).I found some code that does the CRC16 with lookup tables, and it provides the same answer. So I believe the Wiki example is correct. Reading the RM0394 Reference manual it appears it is a pretty simple peripheral. Only a few registers to set up. CRC->DR is the data register. You write to this register and it holds the result. the CRC->IDR is not clear what it is used for. Looks like 8-bit memory. The CRC->INIT has a reset value of FFFFFFFF which is the sme as what I need. The Only register that is not clear is the CRC->CR register. Bit 0 loads the CRC->INIT register value into the CRC->D

Hi I just added the STM32 based boards in Arduino IDE, but I cannot find the NUCLEO-H7S3L8 listed. Is it supported? or am I missing something ?

hi iam having nucleoh755 board, in that when i try to flash target is not connecting and when not connecting to cube programmer also, it showing perform discovery using debug authentication. how to do it. please find the image for the error shown. and MCU power supply all are ok.regards, srinath

I need to do a 1024 point FFT on the STM32F446RE Eval Board. I try to integrate the CMSIS-DSP Libraries as mentioned in the forum and it creates errors only and I can't even run the program. I need to do a q15 FFT ,but it is not working. Help me to to integrate CMSIS DSP Library with the STM Cube IDE.This is a simple issue and some ones guidance can help me a lot.

Hi, I am implementing the new STM32 project in that I am initialized Display and camera interfaceLTDC interface enabled turning on the backlight by making PQ6 pin high and in TouchGFX created a project selected STM32N6570-DK board while run the target it is showing "cannot run the target".Display is not getting ON.I am unable to enable CSI configuration its showing "This peripheral has no parameters to be configured" when customized model also deployed in object detection demo code its not working.

Hi,I would like to confirm that STM32WL55 and STM32WLE5 are mutually HW compatible from the point of external circuitry? I.e. can we use either one in a PCB originaly designed for one of them w/o any modifications? (Yes, I checked both datasheets but better to be safe than botching ;))I know that "The STM32WL55 is a Dual core MCU (cortex-M4 and cortex-M0+) but the STM32WLE5 is using only one core (cortex-M4)." so there might be a difference from the FW perspecitve.  Thank you

I was trying to run a code in STM32CubeIDE v1.19.0. I have connected the MCU to my laptop via ST-LINK/V2 but when I tried running the program or updating the firmware on the ST-LINK/V2 I get the respective error messages:I am new to STM32 development.

I use NUCLEO-H7S3L8 to evaluate our new solution. I want to use GPIO port P to control a few external components.I add some test code into NUCLEO-H7S3L8\Examples\GPIO\GPIO_IOTggle project, like the below snapped code:__HAL_RCC_GPIOP_CLK_ENABLE(); GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0 | GPIO_PIN_1 | GPIO_PIN_2 | GPIO_PIN_3; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLUP; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOP, &GPIO_InitStruct); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_0, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_1, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_2, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOP, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_SET);After executed the above code, I halted the core and measured voltage of these pins with a multi-meter.These pins keep LOW voltage.Does it need an additional configuration when we want to use GPIO port M to P in STM32H7RS?Code formatting applied - please see How to insert source code for future ref
