Posted on August 14, 2017 at 23:13I need help setting up and enabling (and disabling) the  Spread Spectrum Clock on STM32F405.AN4850 is not enough, as it has no code example; says nothing about what to do with MODPER and INCSTEP once calculated.I see file 'stm32f4xx.h' defines some related types/constants but I don't see anything anywhere on how to do it.Thanks,Cat

Posted on August 16, 2017 at 12:31 Hello. I'm developing an application based on Discovery board with stm32f429I. And now I have quite a weird issue:a high signal level is shown on unconnected input pins. Here is a code: //Configure PC4 = input #define GPM_IN((uint32_t) 0x00000000) /*GPIO_Mode_IN*/ #define GPb048 #define GP_HiSpd((uint32_t) 0x00000003)/*GPIO_High_Speed*/ GPIOC->MODER=(GPM_IN<<GPb04); GPIOC->PUPDR=( (GPIO_PUPDR_PUPDR4_1) ); //((GPIO_OTYPER_OT_4)); GPIOC->OTYPER=0; GPIOC->OSPEEDR=(GP_HiSpd<<GPb04);?????????? I have tried different parameters of pullup and pulldown resistors, referring the following: http://www.electronics-tutorials.ws/logic/pull-up-resistor.html https://electronics.stackexchange.com/a/50641 but the issue persists, IDR4 bit shows '1' in debugger, while I'm expecting it to be 0. Strangely, but a similar configuration works OK for other ports. I have checked in debugger, nothing rewrites PC4 configuration,

Posted on August 02, 2017 at 03:43Where can I find the specification for how the BlueNRG-MS parts (WLCSP34) packages are marked?  I need to confirm that the parts we have soldered onto our boards are indeed BlueNRG-MS and not BlueNRG.   I can't find anything about package marking in the datasheets for these parts,  nor can I find anything on their product pages nor by google searches. Please help - I have urgent need to confirm the markings of the parts on our boards.Thank you!#bluenrg-ms #package-marking

Posted on August 14, 2017 at 17:23Hey there!I'm working on stm32f051 MCU for a little project and a I  have to receive and process data from its USART port 1.My issu is that I don't have any interuption from the DMA, and if I check directly on the buffer selected for the memory transfert there is also nothing in it.But I do receive informations when I work with the USART directly ( from the USART1_IRQHandler() )And I make DMA working fine with ADC.I'm completly lost and going mad about this for to much time now.I'd be glad to have any answer, and please tell me if you need any informations mere! Here is my code:#define USART_RX             GPIO_Pin_10#define USART_TX             GPIO_Pin_9#define USART_source_RX         GPIO_PinSource10#define USART_source_TX         GPIO_PinSource9#define USART_PERIPH     &n

Posted on August 15, 2017 at 23:20I am using the STM32F072 device and the I2C bus to talk to a slave device.  The slave device is an Texas Instrument battery management device.  The problem is this slave device I2C probably has a bug that occasionally the SDA line is held low for whatever reason.  The TI engineer told me that when this happens, the I2C master can send  9 pulses on the SCLK line.My question is can the STM processor send 9 pulses on the SCLK line?  How can my code does that?Thanks.-Andy

Posted on August 15, 2017 at 12:30Hi , I'm a student using a STM32 Nucleo144 Board,STM32F767ZI MCU for my project , I am currently struggling to find Voltage and Current information on the GPIO pins which I need to proceed with my design , could anyone direct me or assist me with this.

Posted on August 14, 2017 at 07:31Greetings,I generate the project using To control the bldc motor with hall sensors interface. The configuration is as below:Refer to TIM4, which is set as the hall sensor interface, the detail configuration is as below:Refer to TIM1, which is set as the PWM-generated interface, the detail configuration is as below:After my debug, the motor can be driven. But I found the commutation delay doesn't work at all. So can anyone explain what the commutation delay means? Which event would affected by this delay setting? Why this delay doesn't work? I measured between Hall sensor input and TIM1_TRG_COM_TIM11_IRQHandler(), and I also measured between TIM1_TRG_COM_TIM11_IRQHandler() and HAL_TIMEx_CommutationCallback(). No delay is related to this setting.B.R.Jason#bldc-commutation-delay #stm32cube

Posted on August 14, 2017 at 05:21 Hello I want to control ST's snubberless triac (T435-800) directly from MCU (STM32F0). According to AN3168 (article 2.4), I've to connect AC main (220V, 50Hz) supply with the control circuit's Vdd. In AN392, I found the same that illustrate triac control with negative power supply, but uses capacitive dropper. Actually, I didn't understand what's going on there after connecting AC main with +5V DC. Why not the control circuit get affected by the AC main? All I want to do the same as AN392, but wants to use SMPS (STEVAL-ISA010V1, based on Viper16). Is it okay to connect SMPS's positive terminal directly to AC main? or Do I need anything else such as diode clipper? Thanking you. #triac #smps

Posted on December 14, 2016 at 12:11Hello ST,I'd like to ask if there are plans to upgrade the lwIP embedded (1.5) in the Cube to the recent release 2.0.0Meanwhile, I can assure that upgrading an existing Cube project is possible! If someone is interested, I can attempt to remember how I did :D or better, share my whole lwIP directory. This is cool, but when the Cube regenerates the code... bye-bye 2.0.CheersGiuseppe#stm32cubemx* #lwip

Posted on August 09, 2017 at 14:24Greeting,I am debug the hall sensor based bldc controller. It use the traditional 6 N-MOSFET H-Bridge structure. I use stm32cubemx to configure TIM4 as the Hall sensor input, and the advanced TIM1 as the 6-complementary PWM output. The hall effect input is correctly detected and triggered. However, the complementary PWM doesn't work as I supposed to be. As the Channel 1 set to PWM1 output, CH1 and CH1N works fine as the complementary channel. Channel 2 set to CH2 inactive and CH2N active, it works fine. At the same time, I need to set Channel 3 to CH3 inactive and CH3N inactive, it doesn't work. The channel 3 always output the complementary result. The driving current is high and motor works unstable. I changed different output method with CCER and CCMR registers. I wonder to know if stm32f401 can generate the waveform like described in figure 82 of RM0368(reference manual interfacing with hall sensors example). How to deal with it? or if not, ho

Posted on August 10, 2017 at 07:44Thank you for your patronage. I want 1.2 V in operational amplifier circuit. so, I want to use VREFINT as 1.2V.But I don't know how to use VREFINT.  I don't know how to output VREFINT with Cube MX. I am using STM32F334Nucleo.

Posted on August 12, 2017 at 03:38so i got a 70F6 uC wired up to an LED and a simple program to make it flash. i plug it into power and the program executes, but then when i hit the reset button to connect the NRST pin to ground the flashing stops and doesn't start up again. so i unplug the power and replug it in, flashing starts again.according to the reference manual POR and NRST do essentially the same thing. NOT.

Posted on June 19, 2017 at 12:01Hi,we want to use the STM32F469IEH controller which has 512kB of Flash Memory. The Reference Manual does not show any Flash Layout of the 512kB Flash. I assume that it has the Layout of the 1MB Flash Memory with 1x512kB Bank.Is that right?I need to be sure.If not, what is the actual flash layout of this device? It would be good, if this could be written into the next version of the Reference Manual.Kind regardsAndreas

Posted on August 10, 2017 at 13:33Hi community! So far i have been developing my audio application on discovery board STM32F407 (there is a embedded MEMS microphone connected to I2S2), I have been able to configure I2S2 periphery and acquire data with relative ease. But now i had to move to custom hardware (i went for STM32F427VG). In discovery board's schematic i have found that the microphone used is MP45DT02. So i have used the very same in my custom board. My finished board come so i have tryed to apply the same settings for I2S and expected, that i will have the same results. After compile the program and loadto the target it didnt work properly, so i started troubleshooting by looking at I2S circullar buffer.  The buffer is uint16_t type and after inspecting its content after start it was properly initialized to 0, when i start the program and stop i can see that my HAL_I2S_RxHalfCpltCallback and HAL_I2S_RxCpltCallback are occuring, bu

Posted on August 08, 2017 at 16:04Do you have CADSTAR 17 or lower footprint for either the 14x14mm square single sided or the double sided PCB version. I am working on a four layer design so a four layer coil or using any two or three layers design would be acceptable. It is for M24LRxx IC.DXF file format may also be acceptable?#m24lrxx #14x14mm-coil
