Posted on August 22, 2017 at 07:47   Hi, There is an inconsistent information about the numbers of usart in series STM32L071KBTx and STM32L071KZTx(both LQFP32.)in the datasheet, it says there are 3 usart: =====================================================================but in the STM32CubeMx, if I choose L071KBTx, I got 4 USART?! Have I misunderstood something....?There are totally 3 USART or 4 USART in this package??!!I would like to know!Thanks in advanced.=======================================================================PS:In the STMCU Finder pc software, if I choose STM32L0x1 and I request 4 USART,then there will be no LQFP32 package in the result list. However, If I use STM32CubeMx, doing the same (choose STM32L0x1 and 4 usart), there will be STM32F071KB and STM32F071KZ in the result list. =======================================================================Zt. #usart #stm32l0 #stm32l0x1

ST-Link CLI can't erase memory sector 1 at 0x08004000. When using the commandline-switch -SE 0 1 st-link cli reports the following Error:Memory Sector @0x8000000 erasedMemory Sector @0x8004000 is not erased. Posted on August 21, 2017 at 17:03hello,i'm facing a strange issue, i'm using STM32F103c8t6 and i'm trying to use external interrupt (please take a look the configuration below), the issue is when i trigger the interruption only one time, the callback(HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback) is called twice in a row does anyone have an idea about this thank you/*******************************************************************/void MX_GPIO_Init(void){GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct;/* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOC_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOD_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_RCC_GPIOB_CLK_ENABLE();/*Configure GPIO pin : PA1 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_1; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING;//GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING_FALLING;//GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_PULLDOWN;//GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);/*Configure GPIO pins : PB0 PB12 PB15 PB5 PB6 PB7 PB8 PB9 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0|GPIO_PIN_12|GPIO_PIN_15|GPIO

Posted on August 09, 2017 at 15:01My application will use NFC to either As a passive means of reading an identifier and to store or collect some simple information when a battery is discharged. In this case the I2C bus will be low. Also report that the battery condition.As a passive or powered means of doing the above plus pass information such as BlueTooth and Long range wireless keys transferred via IC2. Perhaps use NFC for some debugging as well.I appreciate that I2C may need 10 clocks or something to recover from being in the wrong mode. That is fine. My question is in (1) will the NFC operate correctly as a passive NFC device. That is with the I2C but pin held low during normal operation?

Posted on May 17, 2017 at 10:32Hello everybody, I am currently working on a STM324x9I-EVAL board. I ran the next project:STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.16.0\Projects\STM324x9I_EVAL\Applications\Audio\Audio_playback_and_record.The application is set to be used in stereo (SPKMODE connected to Gnd), so I have connected a headset to CN23 and 2 loudspeakers on CN24 (8ohm each).Audio is working well on HPOUT1 (CN23) but not on SPKOUT (CN24).I checked the source code and tried to change the parameters OutputDevice of the next function:BSP_AUDIO_OUT_Init(uint16_t OutputDevice, uint8_t Volume, uint32_t AudioFreq);To OUTPUT_DEVICE_SPEAKER: No sound came from my loudspeakerTo OUTPUT_DEVICE_BOTH: Sound came from my headset connected to CN23 but no sound from my loudspeakers on CN24.Someone was able to used the speakers (CN24) output?If you have any clue that could help me, dont hesitate to answer to my post.Thanks in advance for your helpBest regardsFabien#wm8994 #stm324x9i-eval #speaker

Posted on June 26, 2017 at 09:08I have made a USB Bootloader for STM32F207VET and downloaded it to my board through STLink utility and then downloaded my application using Bootlader and it was working fine.Now I made another bootloader for STM32F205VET and downloaded it to my board, It is working fine(I checked it by blinking LEDs and my USB device was detected in DFU mode) now when I Download my application  using Bootloader it is not working. However when i download my application without Bootloader it works perfectly.Can anyone pleae tell me what may be the issue as i have checked that my Bootloader code is jumping to the application.I checked my code using debugger that it was jumping to the application but my application didn't work.FYI:I have attached my Bootloader's main fileAnd in my application i have already made the required changes in .id file and changed the vect table offset value

Posted on August 11, 2017 at 07:17Hi,i have a Problem with the Clock Configuration of the SPC570 C (SPC570S-DISP). I just want to use the External Clock (crystal).my Configuration:CGM_SC_DC0/CGM_SC_DC1/CGM_SC_DC2 are set to 0x80000000AC0_SC/AC1_SC/AC2_SC/AC3_SC are set to 0x01000000My Problem is, i divide the SPI Clock with:AC0_DC3 = 0x80310000According to the Reference Manual, the Spi Clock should be 400kHz (40Mhz Crystal / 50 / 2), but it's 200kHz. Could anyone tell me where my issue could be ?#spc570sx #dspi

Posted on August 16, 2017 at 11:06Hello community,I have 2 SPC56EL70L5-DISP boards and I am messing around with FlexRay.Today I was not able to program one of the boards anymore (with the same code as the other board).The UDE Memtool shows the error stated in the picture above.Furthermore the UDK STK 4.8 gives the following results:We 16.08.2017 10:42:13.339, Error, Core::PFLASH, Error message from FLASH driver, command 'Init': We 16.08.2017 10:42:13.339, Error, Core::PFLASH, FLASH/OTP operation failed We 16.08.2017 10:42:13.339, Error, Core::PFLASH, Initializing FLASH driver on target failed We 16.08.2017 10:42:13.339, Warning, Core::UDEMemtool, FLASH programming for device '2 MByte OnChip PFLASH (Starterkit)' not available ! Posted on August 18, 2017 at 23:06I modified the source code from the ST library example LwIP_HTTP_Server_Socket_RTOS and make it work on our board. At first, everything is good, http server, UART console, USB console, telnet client all works. Until now when I added the 11th thread/task in FreeRTOS.This is the symptom of the issue:After I added 11th thread and boot, everything is good until I click on http dynamic task page (the exact one from the example). Then it will generate bus error. The funny thing is that clicking static page is ok. I check FreeRTOSConfig.h, lwipopts.h and didn't find any problem. I reserved 80k+ for heap and by the time problem happened, there are still 20K+ available. Stack watermark on each thread seems ok too.  So i doubt it's memory issue.As long as it's 10 thread or lower, the dynamic page http is ok. The worst is the register content. HSFR = 0x40000000 , it's ok. but CSFR is 0x400. I checked the document, it's reserved bit

Posted on August 17, 2017 at 15:16I am using STM32F303VC with System Workbench IDE.I can't for the life of me get the hard floating point option to work. The compiler never generates floating point instructions. It' only generating soft code with library calls. Anyone knows what the problem could be?

Posted on August 17, 2017 at 09:10Hello,I'm using the last version of Cube MX. 4.21.I am using STM32F410RBT6 processor. I can't find in the CUbeMX graphical user interface how to enable UART data registry not empty interrupt. I have only found that there is a flash enable USART global interrupt in the NVIC controller settings. Maybe i miss something.Thanks in advance,

Posted on August 18, 2017 at 02:58 I'm having a really fun time learning this stuff! I have my WWVB decoder working with EXTI and TIM2 free running . As a learning exercise, I was trying to use the PWM Input Capture method. TIM2 prescaler is (timer clock/1000) -1 in both situations, and ARR 0xFFFFFFFF With the PWM Input Capture method, I'm using this formula to determine pulse width: abs(*(uint32_t*)&TIM2->CCR1 - *(uint32_t*)&TIM2->CCR2); With the EXTI+TIMx method, here's how I'm measuring it: if (GPIO_Pin == WWVB_IN_Pin) { GPIO_PinState pinState = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(WWVB_IN_GPIO_Port, WWVB_IN_Pin); if (pinState == GPIO_PIN_SET) { pulseStart = htim2.Instance->CNT; } if (pinState == GPIO_PIN_RESET) { pulseEnd = htim2.Instance->CNT; pulseReceived = 1; } }???????????? I get vastly differing values [using two boards sharing same input signal] between the two methods. The PWM Input Capture method has very much shorter measured pulse

Posted on August 16, 2017 at 18:24I am trying to choose a crystal for the STM32F7. The only problem being is that I cant find a component that respects the recommended values found in the following arm http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/c6/eb/5e/11/e3/69/43/eb/CD00221665.pdf/files/CD00221665.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.CD00221665.pdf. Even STM for it's STM32F779I-EVAL board does not respect the gain_margin.If I have understood correctly there is one main rule governing the choice for a crystal so that the oscillator starts and reaches a stable phase.gainmargin = gm / gmcritgm is the oscillator transconductance specified in the STM32F779 datasheet. Gm_crit_max = 0.001gmcrit is computed from oscillation-loop passive components parameters. ESR is the equivalent series resistance C0 is the crystal shunt capacitanceCL is the crystal nominal load capacitance.F is the crystal nominal oscillation frequencyThe one used for the eval boa

Posted on August 17, 2017 at 16:23I am using hal lib.When I cut can transmission between microcontrollers.It is stuck in this function:HAL_GetTick() currently get same value because systick interrupt not working so the value systick increase every tick doesnt increase.So I stucked in this loop.Why systick interrupt not works?This loop is in that function =>HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_CAN_Receive(CAN_HandleTypeDef* hcan, uint8_t FIFONumber, uint32_t Timeout)That fuction is in that dir =>stm32f3xx_hal_can.c#can #stm32 #hal-broken #systick #interrupt #stupid-as-designed

Posted on August 08, 2017 at 02:27Hello,I have been attempting to download the X-Cube-Cryptolib for some time, and have been unable to. I have tried filling out the form, which changes the button to 'Validate'. Later on when I check on the status, the page resets and requests filling out the form again. Is there a workaround for this? I tried clearing browser cache, different browsers, using a new session, etc.Thanks.
