Hi,I got a brand new Nucleo-L011K4 and was very interested in testing the examples I got from ST, but when I download the USART examples on my board the receive part of them does not work. Is there any flag I need to set/clear that the examples are missing or is it just my board that is not working? After debugging for a few hours I see that the reception complete flag is never set, could the data be getting lost somewhere? (the only place it could be getting lost is in the STLink, but it works as a virtual port, so it shouldn't happen).Best regards,Paulo A Sousa

Hello,I would like to change the following settings in stm32f1xx_hal_conf.h, which is generated by STM32CubeMX :#define ETH_RXBUFNB ((uint32_t)8) /* 4 Rx buffers of size ETH_RX_BUF_SIZE */ #define ETH_TXBUFNB ((uint32_t)4) /* 4 Tx buffers of size ETH_TX_BUF_SIZE */Since there is no USER section in this file, I cant #undef and redefine these. Here are the available settings in STM32CubeMX:Nothing in Advanced Parameters as well. They are indeed very important parameters (RXBUF is set to 8 so Rx_Buff has a footprint of 12kbyte in RAM which is a lot in a 64kbyte RAM device...)I'm using a STM32F107, with STM32Cube package v1.6.1 and STM32CubeMX software v4.27.0Please provide a workaround or fix this in the next release ST! :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thanks

All, Unfortunately I don't see many useful answers to high standby power consumption on these forums. Hopefully someone has gained insight since previous questions have been asked, or my specific situation is has an alternative solution that didn't apply in other situations.I am using an STM32F765VI chip to manage a battery (by communicating with battery managers) and send some messages over USB. The chip can sit in standby mode for extended periods of time, but unfortunately it seems to consume 7mA in standby mode. This is the difference between a typical battery lasting a few weeks and a few months. My hardware engineers have assured my that the power draw is coming from the chip and it's immediate power connections. Obviously this is SIGNIFICANTLY higher power draw than what is advertised. I also have a pretty high power draw (10-12mA) in stop mode, regardless of whether or not I turn off the regulator. I am using a high speed external clock. Could it be that the external clock is c

Hello Is there any specific reason behind putting this delay, if yes than what it is?I want to manage time in my application so i tried to reduce the delay but in that case I am not able to transmit data properly.below is the given function sd_lld_write(&SD1,CMD2,(uint16_t)(sizeof(CMD2)/sizeof(CMD2[0]))); osalThreadDelayMilliseconds(200);

Hi,I'm currently figuring out about the new ANA0 / ANA1 pins.As far as I understand, those pins are always connected to the ADC so that I don't need to touch the GPIO registers in order to use those pins. Is my understanding correct? Also I can connect those pin to PA0 / PA1 using ANAx_SEL bits in SYSCFG_PMCR register. In this case is it possible to short or damage the circuit/chip when I set different signal between ANAx and PAx?Thanks a lot!

Hi, I'm using RFID reader ST25R3911B to read/write on ISO15693 card. I'm unable to perform a write to the card and i'm using "Writesingleblock" function mentioned in code/lib cube-nfc5(ver 1.2). I followed the steps which was mentioned in an earlier thread "https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWNXSA3/st25r3911b-calls-to-readwrite-block-after-successful-inventoryget-id" but still unable to get through. In that it was mentioned to use Select mode instead of Address mode but while using Select mode i'm getting Timeout error. But if i switch to Address mode then Read goes through successfully but write ends up in Ignore Error. Then when i try to read back the block to which i have written it remains all zeros. Is there anything which i'm missing out on? Below is my reference code.#define NFCV_BLOCK_LEN 4ReturnCode  err1;uint8_t rxBuf[1+NFCV_BLOCK_LEN+2];uint16_t rcvLen = 1;uint8_t wrBuf[NFCV_BLOCK_LEN] = {0x11,0x22,0x33,0x44}; err = rfalNfcvPollerCollisionResolut

I've scanned through the datasheet of the STM32F446xC/E multiple times, but have been unable to find the sector layout of the device's flash memory. I know that the sectors are different sizes, and I've found tables detailing the sector layouts of other STM32 MPUs on multiple websites, but have not been able to find a table showing the sector layout of the F446. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I can't seem to find this board. It uses the STM32L476. There are some other development boards shown with this controller, but not the ST25R3911B-DISCO.

Hello,I am generating a PWM frequency with Timer5 in a STM32F7 device and I noticed that the TIMER5 input clock is 1/4 of HCLK by default and it is connected to APB1. I was checking in the documentation or in the code how to connect the input clock to APB1 multiplied by two or if it is possible to connect to APB2. Where is indicated the APBx of a certain TIMx and how to select the APBx freq or APBx freq x 2?Thanks!

I have a STM32MP157C-DK2, and I'm interested in better understanding how the IPCC peripheral works. I've tried out the OpenAMP echo example and trawled through its code, and the associated HAL code. I have generally completely avoided the HAL for microcontroller projects - I prefer to write my own bare metal drivers in C++.IPCC seems like a very simple peripheral, but I am slightly confused by the implementation in HAL (and the Linux driver appears to do the same thing). When checking the RX/occupied status of a channel, both implementations read the SR register of the "other" processor. That is, the M4 uses the registers in IPCC_C2 to communicate, and the A7 uses IPCC_C1. But the M4 uses IPCC_C1->SR in HAL_IPCC_RX_IRQHandler(). What is the relationship between the two SR registers? It seems like in principle that they should have the same values, except maybe when transitioning. My understanding is that if the A7 sets a channel bit using SCR, the M4 gets an RX/occupied interrupt; i

Hello,I can't find 32F072BDISCOVERY , https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f072bdiscovery.html in Cube IDE board selector (previously in CubeMX).Is there a plan to add this board?Thank you,David

The reference manual gives a brief description but how do you actually implement it?I'm using an STM32F437 which includes a cryptographic accelerator so I'm not looking to use the Cryptographic Library.Any documentation, tutorial, example code or any kind of guidance would be appreciated.

i have this problem, in my app i have a text area which say: current option:Option Ausing touchGFX i set an interaction when a button is pressed to chage that text area, and i need it to become:current option:Option Bwhen i put those tho line in the text field in the Interaction options on touchGFX like showedwhat TouchGFX generates on ScreenViewBase.cpp is this:and OFC won't compile.i tryed some escape sequence, but no luck so far...can someone enlight me.Thanks in advanceStefano

Hi Community,I have a STM32F769I as a SPI slave.I want to receive up to 6kByte data in 244 Byte packets (consequently up to 25 SPI packets á 244 Byte).I am using the HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback function. This function will be called after every 244 Byte packet; and stores the received data in a 6 kByte data buffer. After all data has been received a flag will be set to activate a print function in the main. For now, the 6 kByte (dummy) data frames will be send every 2 seconds by the SPI master. However, the STM32 sometimes misses SPI packets and consequently mess up the data. As soon as I exceed an amount of data (4392 Byte = 18 packets á 244 bytes) the STM misses packets in a transaction and thus the data will only be printed after every second transaction.Furthermore, memory access problems occure every now and then ending up in the HardFault_handler.I think, I am facing some timing problems due to interrupts as well as memory access problems.Any suggestions?

In the STA8089GA circuit guideline document it is noted throughout the document several times to refer to a special application note about standby mode specifically. It is actually referencing to several application notes on different subjects. Where can I download these app notes?

Posted on October 08, 2017 at 15:11 Hi all. Does anyone have a working example for Ethernet? I tried to build one wih CubeMX (HAL 1.1.0) with and without FreeRTOS. I did it many times for F746, F767 (A and Z) and F769 (A) but Ethernet with STM32H743ZI (Ver. Y) will not work. - IDE is OpenSTM32 (GNU C) - RAM is AXI SRAM in Domain D1 or AHB SRAM1 in Domain D2 - no DTCM RAM is used (in linker script: i.e. RAM_D1 >AT FLASH, _estack is adapted) - Instruction Cache enabled and Data Cache is disabled - no MPU - ethernetif.c line 421 is commented out: // SCB_CleanInvalidateDCache(); - ethernetif.c line 443 is commented out: // SCB_CleanInvalidateDCache(); Another options: - using 0x30040000 and MPU for DMARxDscrTab[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT] and DMATxDscrTab[ETH_TX_DESC_CNT] - DHCP or static IP - Data cache enabled and using original SCB_CleanIvalidDCache(); The result: stm32h7xx_hal_eth.c : HAL_ETH_Transmit(...) throws a timeout in line 708 and returns HAL_ERROR which is not recogn

Hi,I'm currently working on porting Arduino Core for STM32 to STM32MP1 Cortex M4 core. Here are some stuff I found:Typo: I post it in the Github: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeMP1/pull/1Possible bugs in HAL driver: stm32mp1xx_hal_conf_template.h includes some modules and definitions that STM32CubeMP1 doesn't actually have, such as "stm32mp1xx_hal_eth.h", "stm32mp1xx_hal_rtc.h", "stm32mp1xx_hal_smartcard.h", HAL_ETH_MODULE_ENABLED....etc. I'm not sure if it is a bug or something intentional. The Section 4.1 "STM32 product cross-compatibility" in AN5253 "Migrating from STM32F469/479 line to STM32MP151, STM32MP153 and STM32MP157 lines" has some misleading contents. Specifically, it describes as if the Cortex M4 core supports OTGFS, OTGHS, and RTC (probably more) but the STM32Cube package does not actually support those peripherals. Does this mean that it is planned to support those, or the AN is misleading?Thank you.

Hi. I am trying to update my board using STM32WB Copro Wireless Binaries. But, I am getting following error: I cannot download the image. Can you please help me with this issue? I can flash the board but cannot use bluetooth functionality.

Hello,We are working on implementing a custom FOC control for hoveboards on the stock boards that feature an STM32F103RCT6 with 2 phase current measurement. However, we encounter issues when measuring the Phase currents. They appear to be noisy with high peaks (see attached picture).https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/24780745/60458354-b0d27a00-9c3e-11e9-99ca-e87e29aa17ed.pngThe problem could be that we do not trigger the current measurement at the right moment, when the lower MOSFET is conducting. Thus, I am asking if you can review the settings for the DMA interrupt by the timer?More exactly, to review the following files:master/Src/setup.cmaster/Drivers/STM32F1xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/stm32f1xx_hal_adc_ex.hAll the files can be found on github (along with the full project) here:https://github.com/EmanuelFeru/hoverboard-firmware-hackEDIT: For more details, there is an open issue on this topic on github:https://github.com/bipropellant/bipropellant-hoverboard-firmware/issues/41We would gr

On an STM32F429ZI, I'm using USART3_RX to receive information via DMA into a circular buffer. The buffer is 4096 bytes long.If I send 1 or 2 bytes at a time (i.e. with a delay of ~100ms+ between transfers), things work correctly. By "work correctly" I mean the NDTR register is updated and the values I send appear in the circular buffer. If I send 3+ bytes at once, the transfer gets aborted:Only the first 3 bytes show up in the buffer, and NDTR is decremented by 3The stream EN bit is changed from 1 (enabled) to 0 (disabled). The DMA1->LISR:TCIF1 bit is set to 1.In other words, it's as if the microcontroller thinks the transfer is complete. However, it's clearly not complete as NDTR != 0. And it only appears when I send 3+ consecutive bytes with no delay between them. The values in the DMA register appear to be correctly configured, and do not change apart from EN and NDTR as noted above:DMA1 stream index 1 detailed description: - CR: SxCR_CHSEL=100 SxCR_PL=01 SxCR_MINC=1

Hello,we want to build a system with STM32H7, hopefully one of the new up to 480 MHz devices. And we really need a high clock of 400 MHz and above. On the other hand we need low power and we use ADC and DAC, both requiring a 3.3V Vref. Now my question is if we can turn down Vdd to 1.8V to minimize the power loss in LDO voltage regulator, while keeping VddA and Vref at 3.3V.I searched the data sheets but couldn't find any relations between Vdd and VddA. (which would be a yes to my question but still leaves me a bit insecure, maybe I missed something)Thanks for any helpMartin

I try to add a very simple screen to my project. It always crashed when I try to add a box as background. It ends up with the infinite loop in startup assembly file. Here is what I found so far:I can draw a smaller box(50x50). if I decrease speed of LTDC clock to a certain value, I can draw any size of box I want. But the screen gets flickering for the lower refresh rate.I am using f7 and has set clock and SDRAM to maximum speed. Does anyone has similar issue? Is there any settings to improve this issue? Thanks in advance.
