I want to periodically check the state of the RAM ECC detection in my firmware on a STM32H753.The ECC mechanism is well described in the Reference Manual for the Flash but not very well (in my opinion) for the RAM.I've seen that there are dedicated interrupts for RAM ECC but it is not clear if they are triggered for single error or double error ?Also, why a dedicated interrupt and not a BusFault (like it is done on the Flash if I understood correctly ?)Also , I don't want to get interrupted for a single error (that is properly corrected). Instead I want to get the status periodically and log the error somewhere. What is the register to read to check whether a single error happened ?

Hello everyone, I have a question related to MCU oscillator. Honestly, i usually design MCU with external crystal , by belief that it is surely always better internal oscillator. Even i believed that if MCU isn't run with external crystal will make some grumpy designers unhappy. For example, in the past , with UART communication purpose, they often use 11.0592 MHz crystal instead of popular ones like 8Mhz or 16Mhz.But one day, i tried with internal oscillator, i really that i don't know what is the purpose of external crystal ? I'm very sorry if you already met this type of questions and feel annoyed, I also found some similar questions like this in our community, but the answer didn't satisfy me. Thank you all ! Wish you have a nice day :smiling_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Hello,I was using the flash to save the configuration data of my mcu. But I've got two problems:The HAL_FLASHEx_Erase function fails with a sequence error. The first 4 bytes get zeroed with HAL_FLASH_Program. The mcu never boots up after that since the first 4 bytes are the stack pointer.I checked all the parameters and they are all correct. After disabling the interrupts, the function works. While with a high frequency interrupt, the function always fails. However, I never found anything about this in the reference manual as well as the errata. The reference manual says the processor will be paused and the read requests will be processed correctly after the operation is done.Chip is STM32F401RC.Below is my flash layout:|Sect 0-1| 2 | 3 | 4 - ||Bootldr | Cfg1 | Cfg2 | Program code|The erased and programed data is in sector 2. And the code that starts the flash operation is in the last block.

Hi,I would like to know, when STM32CubeMX will support FreeRTOS 10.2.BTW: Is there any roadmap or plan where we can look it up?Best regards

Hi, I try to add a new layer and a new machine to the STM32MP1 Distribution Image. i followed the following tutorials tutorials:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_a_new_open_embedded_layerhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_compile_the_device_tree_with_the_Distribution_PackageHowever, I am still getting the following error:WARNING: st-image-core-1.0-r0 do_populate_lic: Could not copy license file /home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp-addons/conf/eula/stm32mp1-mymachine to /home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/build-openstlinuxeglfs-stm32mp1-mymachine/tmp-glibc/work/stm32mp1_mymachine-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi/st-image-core/1.0-r0/license-destdir/st-image-core/stm32mp1-mymachine: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/home/user/workspace/STM32MP1/Distribution-Package/openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09/layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp-addons

Hi,I'm working with TouchGFX with STM32F746BG, and I have an issue when there is animation. You can find a video of the problem here : https://youtu.be/X-D-NkGCN5kI also have the same issue when I add an animation between screen. At the beginning I was working without TouchGFX (and without external ram), playing with LTDC layer, moving and everything and I no issue.Any idea where this could come from ? TonyEDIT: Updated video to the right one

Ps: I saw https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BWnXe0SQF/st25ru3993-antenna , but it was not enough.I'm interested in testing the https://www.st.com/en/nfc/st25ru3993.html , but I couldn't find information concerning antenna support. Have anyone used this module to accomplish long distance UHF readings? Can I achieve it with ST25RU3993?I'm searching fora long distance UHF reader, 2 Km <= kilometres <= 10 Km ;a "not so short" distance UHF reader, 2 m <= meters <= 10 m;Which antennas have you used? Everything goes well? Thanks!

Hi there, I am working with a customized STM32MP153A board and trying to boot from eMMC.I had prepared my eMMC following the steps that I found in <u-boot-stm32mp-2018.11-r0 source code directory>/board/st/stm32mp1/README file:8. Prepare eMMC===============You can use U-Boot to copy binary in eMMC.In the next example, you need to boot from SDCARD and the images (u-boot-spl.stm32, u-boot.img)are presents on SDCARD (mmc 0) in ext4 partition 4 (bootfs). To boot from SDCard, select BootPinMode = 1 0 1 and reset. Then you update the eMMC with the next U-Boot command :a) prepare GPT on eMMC, example with 2 partitions, bootfs and roots: # setenv emmc_part "name=ssbl,size=2MiB;name=bootfs,type=linux,bootable,size=64MiB;name=rootfs,type=linux,size=512" # gpt write mmc 1 ${emmc_part}b) copy SPL on eMMC on firts boot partition (SPL max size is 256kB, with LBA 512, 0x200) # ext4load mmc 0:4 0xC0000000 u-boot-spl.stm32 # mmc dev 1 # mmc partconf 1 1 1 1 # mmc write ${fileaddr} 0 200 #

Hi,I am try adding image on my application with new TouchGFX Designer version. I added image in assets file in project. I can see added image to "Images" tab. But I can't see anything in project tab of widgets image selection. How can i solve this problem?

I am using BlueNRG2 for a project, and using jtag segger as burner/debugger.The application is simple, i have activated all 3 leds and using the microcontroller with sleep mode.but when my system wakes, the red keeps glowing. The code is:BTLE_StackTick(); BlueNRG_Sleep(SLEEPMODE_NOTIMER, wakeup_source, wakeup_level);GPIO_WriteBit(GPIO_Pin_6 | GPIO_Pin_7 | GPIO_Pin_14, Bit_SET);Clock_Wait(1000);GPIO_WriteBit(GPIO_Pin_6 | GPIO_Pin_7 | GPIO_Pin_14, Bit_RESET);Like i said, the red led does not goes off even when system is in sleep mode.

Hi,i am building the code for STM32WB55. I have enabled "Convert to binary file (-O binary)" and "Convert to Intel Hex file (-O hex)".I got 2 files:-bin file - 402MByte size-hex file - 183kByteAs i can see, bin file has 62kByte of real data and rest of data are "0x00". How i can make just normal BIN file? Please help to find out :)--Best regards,Sergii

I am trying to setup DHCP over Ethernet using LwIP, with an ultimate goal of using TCP/UDP for communication. I have configured everything through Cube and set up the MPU according to the FAQ guidelines for Ethernet on STM32H7 and am finally receiving/sending packets.Unfortunately the packets I receive are just raw Ethernet frames w/ no recognizable protocol. I searched around and only found one other post about this and the fix for them was to call LwIP_Process() in the main loop which I am already doing. Here is what wire-shark is capturing on the interface the stm32 is connected to:Here is my MPU Configuration:I have also attached my IOC file, any help will be greatly appreciated.Edit: Providing more context:Buffer definition:ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMARxDscrTab[ETH_RX_DESC_CNT] __attribute__((section(".RxDecripSection"))); /* Ethernet Rx DMA Descriptors */ ETH_DMADescTypeDef DMATxDscrTab[ETH_TX_DESC_CNT] __attribute__((section(".TxDecripSection"))); /* Ethernet Tx DMA Descriptors */ u

I have a project that runs at 100Mbit, but when I try to connect to a 10Mbit hub, it cannot connect.Any ideas where to look (clocks, MAC, etc)? Thanks

Hello,We try to test our Ethernet performance (STM32H7).We are using a udp echo with LWIP , and we inject udp packets from PC into STM32H7 .The performance is OK with most packets, but when decreasing packet size below ~300bytes, we start to get packet lost.My question is:Is there a benchmark document for STM32H7 showing the expected performance for Ethernet ?Is there a loopback application example using HAL APIs (without LWIP) ?Thank you,Ran

I have a custom board with an STM32F412re and a TLV320aic Codec, where the Codec is in Master mode and the I2S2 Interface of the STM32 in Full Duplex Slave mode.So far I have the I2S2 interface configured to send and receive the data over DMA.On DMA transfer complete Interrupt I copy the input buffer (uint16_t) to the output buffer. This way I have a passthrough of the audio signal. Now I also implemented the float32_t FIR example from CMSIS/DSP. I have verified, that the FIR filter works (amplitude shows low-pass characteristic). However I am seeing (and hearing) that the audio signal has gaps.(blue: Input, 1Vpp, 1kHz. green/pink: Line Out L/R)I suspect that this happens because I execute the FIR filter inside the DMA ISR - which is not the way to do it. The next step is to implement a buffering method to run the FIR-Filter not FFT (as in the comments) n the main loop. How can this be achieved? What is good practice? Is there an app-note or a white paper explaining how to implement a buf

CDC function run normally. But if MCU reboot(For example, USB connect to PC and reboot MCU), USB will not recongnized. It will return to normal if I remove USB then insert it again. So I want to add re-enumerate function to let device re-enumerate though USB always in PC.How to modify the code to realize re-enumerate function? I try to set PA12 low to high before USB init. Device cannot run. Maybe blocking

My code is little modified Nucleo NFC Sample code. But instead of using WriteURI I want to read URI from Android phone. Every time NFC returns success but variable used with ReadURI function has always the same value as previous. My snippet:int main(void) { /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   // Init of the Nucleo Board led BSP_LED_Init(LED2);   // Init of the M24SR expansion board initLED(); MX_GPIO_Init(); sURI_Info uri; while (TT4_Init() != SUCCESS); TT4_ReadURI(&URI); // Prepare URI NDEF message content while (1) { } } Anybody knows how to solve this problem?

HiThere seems to be something wrong with font compilation on my system after updating from 4.10 to 4.12.3. The flash usage of my project has ballooned by 400kB more now. I have traced this to the font generator. This is now including a lot of spurious characters that are not used as far as I can tell. The .txt files in generated/fonts seem to have the required subset of glyphs listed. But the .cpp files include a lot of strange extra code points like 0xE000-0xE14A ("private use" range). And U+0915..U+0963 ("Devanagari").This is when generating code from Designer which looks like it calls make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j10to generate the assets?I tried one of the stock projects and this does seem to work OK.Windows 10 is set to English/United Kingdom.Any ideas?thanksJohn
