What reading performance (tags/seconds) can be achieved with the ST25RU3993 and what are the best reader settings for a high reading rate?

Hi User15749752844702162942,

the maximum sustained read rate that can be achieved with the ST25RU3993 for 96 bit tag EPC length is by using a backscatter link frequency (BLF) of 640 kHz.

  • M2 coding --> 600 tag reads/sec
  • FM0 coding --> 760 tag reads/sec

The maximum read rate that can be used at full power depends on the country/region and their respective radio regulation laws.

Accounting for a dense reader environment also puts restrictions on the maximum read rate (see channel boundary backscatter).

Cheers,

B
