Solved

I am interested in the maximum transmission bandwidth between the A7 core and M4 core on the STM32MP1.I did some test using RPMsg framewirk and sent messages with length 496 Byte from the A7 core to the M4 core. Therefore I modified the OpenAMP_raw example. I measured the time which it takes to receive 2300 messages on the M4 side using HAL_getTick(). I measured an average time of 132 ms, which would result in a transmission bandwidth of just 8,64 MB/s, which seems pretty slow to me.Has anyone made some experience with it or did some similar evaluation? Maybe me measurement method isnt optimal? I am thankful for evey opinion.

My IDE is SW4STM32. The board is STM32H757 I-EVAL. I download STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.5.0 to start development. I have read the document UM2204 "Getting started with STM32CubeH7 for STM32H7 Series" but I still can't develop my own application through Templates project now. I copy the Templates Project to my workspace folder and use SW4STM32 to rebuild it. But there are many errors, most of them are like can't find file stm32h7xx_hal.h, can't find file stm32h7xx_hal_***.h, and so on. I copy those files into the my project folder. But it seems that too much .h files need to be copied. Is there a clear and clever way to achieve my goal? Thanks for your help.

Posted on October 19, 2017 at 08:43Hi,Where can I download the example code for AN4841 'Digital signal processing for ST M32 microcontrollers using CMSIS'?Please advise.Thanks.Regards,Thiha Kyaw#an4841-dsp-application

I would like to enable VCONN based on STM32CubeExpansion_USBPD_F0_V2.1.0.I found CMACRO "_VCONN_SUPPORT", but I encountered complile errors below if I used _VCONN_SUPPORT.compiling usbpd_dpm_core.c...../../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USBPD_Library/Core/src/usbpd_dpm_core.c(191): error: #20: identifier "USBPD_DPM_EvaluateVconnSwap" is undefined   USBPD_DPM_EvaluateVconnSwap,../../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USBPD_Library/Core/src/usbpd_dpm_core.c(192): error: #20: identifier "USBPD_DPM_PE_VconnPwr" is undefined   USBPD_DPM_PE_VconnPwr,../../../../../../Middlewares/ST/STM32_USBPD_Library/Core/src/usbpd_dpm_core.c: 0 warnings, 2 errorsI think I should write these functions in my user code, but I would like to see sample code of these functions. Please advice.

I am currently performing timing and performance measurements for the CMSIS/DSP FIR filter functions on an STM32F412. I toggle a GPIO before and after executing the arm_fir_f32() function and record the signal on a scope. My results are:Details: Sampling rate: 48kHz, Stereo channels, Signal buffer size to process: 64 per channel, CPU clock frequency: 100MHz. So the delay consists of 2 FIR filters with NUM_TAPS coefficients each.My assumtion:The FPU should be as performant as to process one multiply & accumulate in one clock cycle. Therefore I expect something in the range or 1 clock cycle per tap instead of 3-4.My suspicion:Looking at the assembly code (using Keil uVision 5) I can see two assembly instructions:0x080008E8 EE628A0D VMUL.F32 s17,s4,s26 0x080008EC EE766AA8 VADD.F32 s13,s13,s17which correspond to the following Line 465 in arm_fir_f32.c acc3 += x4 * c0;which is different from a single multiply & accumulate (VLMA) instruction. Can somebody explain this or give context a

Hello all,I will replace Texts on a running device. I'm using a STM32F7 and a external Flash to store Texts, Fonts and Bitmaps. For different variants of the device, we have to replace some of these Texts, Fonts and Bitmaps in the production line. The problem is that the new text can be longer or shorter than the old text. Of that reason the address of each texts in the Flash are different.I'm looking for a solution to change texts and replace the start addresse of the Text section, on a running device. So here my questions:Where is the adresse of each Text ( or the text area ) defined ?How can I change the address ?Thanks for help

Hello, I'm working on a project, where the Master (STM32F107) have to communicate with a few slaves (ATxmega) via I2C. Most of the time it works fine. But sometimes the SCL line is going low and stays low. First i thought it's a Slave issue (because of clock stretching), but its a Master problem.I tested different thinks, when the error occurs. For example I make a hardwarereset on a slave. Then it's rebooting, but SCL is still low. The Master and Slave are on different PCBs, so I can cut the connection between them. When I'm doing this, the SCL line on the Slave side goes up, on the Master stays low. I'm using HAL and reset the I2C configuration and reinitialize it. I already tried direct register access and reset the I2C periphery on this way. But it doesn't help. Only a reboot of the master fixes the problem (hard- or software reset, both works). I activated the I2C error interrupt, but the interrupt never occurs. The I2C registers are also unremarkable: I2C_SR1: BTF and TxE are set

Posted on July 19, 2017 at 17:58 I have successfully built a firmware upgrade app using C# and the bootloader in the STM32F4 To make it more robust, I am adding a scatter file based on CliveOne's recommendation: I'd generally recommend having a boot loader at the base of memory (0x08000000, 16KB for the STM32 F2/F4), and then never erase that. Then place the app code above that, and have the boot loader validate the app code before jumping to it. This protects you if the power fails during an update, and makes things far more robust. The 417 will startup at 0x08000000, calculate a checksum on the installed firmware, and then if it matches will continue on to a normal startup (unless an upgrade has been indicated, and then it will do that). My question is: How to make the jump from the first executable region (0x08000000-0x08003FFF) where the checksum function is, to the normally-running app starting at 0x08004000? Here is my code for getting into the bootloader: ; NORMAL UPGRADE

I have been trying to set up the initial code from cubeMX for my Thread Project. The Steps that i have taken are as follow:1) Set up RCC2) Set up HSEM3) Turn on RTC4) Activate RFHere are where the problems start, since i could compile until here5) Select Thread from WPANAlso from utilities Sequencer and TinyLPM have been checked. When I compile I get this:STM32CubeIDE/workspace_/wpan/Debug/../Core/Src/app_entry.c:185: undefined reference to `UTIL_LPM_Init'Core/Src/app_entry.o: In function `appe_Tl_Init':STM32CubeIDE/workspace_/wpan/Debug/../Core/Src/app_entry.c:205: undefined reference to `UTIL_SEQ_RegTask'Core/Src/app_entry.o: In function `APPE_SysEvtReadyProcessing':STM32CubeIDE/workspace_/wpan/Debug/../Core/Src/app_entry.c:283: undefined reference to `UTIL_LPM_SetOffMode'Core/Src/app_entry.o: In function `shci_notify_asynch_evt':STM32CubeIDE/workspace_/wpan/Debug/../Core/Src/app_entry.c:335: undefined reference to `UTIL_SEQ_SetTask'Core/Src/app_entry.o: In function `shci_cmd_resp_rele

Hi!I was trying GFXdesigner and this happened to me, I tried different ways to find out the questions but no clue yet, it could be something wrong with the pictures? Then what should I do with them? I have followed the instructions in the following link:https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/203563972-Display-OrientationIt gives instructions for portrait orientation for the target (via editing BoardConfiguration.cpp) , Simulator (via via editing the simulator's main.cpp file), and the TouchGFX Designer (via editing the project file).I believe the instructions are not up-to-date (especially for the Designer).TouchGFX Designer:Swapping the Width and Height values in touchgfx project file did not put the Designer in portrait mode. I also needed to change the "DisplayOrientation" to "Portrait" (in the touchgfx project file) :"LandscapeSkinX": 0, "LandscapeSkinY": 0, "PortraitSkinX": 0, "PortraitSkinY": 0, "DisplayOrientation": "Portrait"TouchGFX SimulatorThe simulator did function correctly in portrait when adding the following to its main.cpp file:HAL::getInstance()->setDisplayOrientation(ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT);However, items are distorted on the simulator:This is what

I would like to find out if the eval board ST25R3911B-DISCO will be able to read the Avery Dennison RF700048 HF tag, which uses the NXP ICODE SLIX chip. Thanks,Narek

Hi,I have created a project with STm32CubeMX for a stm32F412VET6 microcontroller. I have configured the clock at 64MHz, I also have 1 SPI and 10 outputs. The project builds correctly and is running on the target correctly. Now when just changing the clock frequency to 100 MHz, the projects still builds properly. However, when I launch the code after calling the HAL_GPIO_Init function, it goes in HardFault.

STM32F2: (possibly other families like F4 may be affected too - not verified)Library: STM32Cube_FW_F2_V1.7.0Component:ADC Low Level Driver (file stm32f2xx_ll_adc.c)Affected function: LL_ADC_REG_Initregister CR1 is wrongly initialized with SequencerLength which should be written into SQR1 register only. SequencerLength is additionally written by function LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerLength in function LL_ADC_REG_Init, which is correct.Workaround: set sequencer length to LL_ADC_REG_SEQ_SCAN_DISABLE in initialization structure used by function LL_ADC_REG_Init.Afterward call LL_ADC_REG_SetSequencerLength with the sequencer legnth required by your application.HAL implementation seems to be correct.

Hello,I am working with X-Cube-NFC3 (V2.0.0) for source code. Using one of the projects built for F401RE, I setup a project wherein:I mapped each pin according to various User manualsTo test the pinout mapping, I wrote a simple code to check if User LEDs were mapped correctly. They are. I added the middlewares into the project from the folder inside X-Cube-NFC3 (V2.0.0)I added the BSP drivers for the F401RE into my project. I now used the Ready projects to create some dummy code. I got the code built but all I get is that my board is not initialized. Check out my source code and my output: /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* Initialize log module */ // __HAL_SPI_CLEAR_OVRFLAG(&hspi1); logUsartInit(&huart2);   platformLog("\r\nWelcome to X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 (SPI Interface)\r\n");   /* Initalize RFAL */ rfalAnalogConfigInitialize(); if(rfalAnalogConfigIsReady() == 1) { platformLog("rfalAnalogConfigIsReady\r\n"); } else if(rfalAnalogConfigIsReady() == 0) { platformLog

Posted on March 25, 2016 at 01:52I've got a board with a Gyro (L3GD20H) and Accel/Mag (LSM303D).  I'm interfacing with the sensors using I2C.  I can communicate with the Accel/Mag without issues.  However, the Gyro is showing up at (7bit) address 0x68 and it should be 0x6A (since SA0 is low).  I'm able to dump the registers and some of them are correct (WHO_AM_I), however, the data isn't correct.  I've scoped the lines and they look OK, it's just responding at the wrong address.  I've attached the scope readings and the schematic. Has anyone seen this before?  I've probed all the pins and they look correct. Thanks.

Hi Team, I need you support, I am using STM32F429zi, CubeMx Version 5.3.0, STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.24.1, REERTOS_version  10.0.1 and Platform is atollic truestudio.Issue: Ethernet UP/Down Link status I enable, #define LWIP_NETIF_STATUS_CALLBACK 1#define LWIP_NETIF_LINK_CALLBACK 1observation: Ethernet INT4 is not enable or is not heating.

Hello,I don't understand the description of the Clock Security System in the Ref Manual of STM32H7 (section 7.5.3).First question is : what exactly is the CSS doing ? (what kind of control is done on the clock). What is a definition of "a failure of the HSE" ?Second question: the ref manual mentions both a dedicated interrupt rcc_hsecss_it and the NMI. Why is there both ? Why not only the NMI or only the interrupt ? Thank you

Hi, I installed STM32CubeIDE for the first time. As the picture illustrated, the keywords, GPIO_PinState and uint32_t, seems like the comment, is there anyway to solve this problem?Best regards.
