How safe is it to change all JTAG pins to inputs to prevent read out of RAM in protection level 1?I tried it today and I could no longer connect to the board and dump the RAM. But how safe is it?I read about the Nintendo Game & Watch that use an STM32H7B0. They were able to hack the ROM loading by dumping the STM32 RAM.I wan't to make it harder for hackers to dump my RAM. Else I must go to protection level 2.

Hi I am facing issue with the "generate code" to generate the boiler plate code for the nucleo-f44rehere is the software that I am running with :STMCubeMX_v6-0-1Keil ARM-MDK 5.32java version "1.8.0_271" (Java 8 I believe) , which is the recommended version of Java to run the CubeMX*I even install the STM32CubeMX in the most shallow C directory "C:\<here>", so that I would not encounter any issues with too long path names*This "generate code" issue comes right after I resolved another Issue with "installing stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252 libraries"I managed to resolved this "stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252" library installing issue by manually going to the C:\\<User>\STM32Cube\Repository and manually unzipping the files .could the problem of "generating the code", stem from this method of resolving "the stm32cube_fw_f4_v1252 library installing issue"? are there anyone familiar with this issue of "project generation" or this software able to provide some assistance in resolving this issue ? Hi,I'm currently building a Touchgfx interface consisting of multiple screens (30+).Everything is working fine so far, however now I need to implement some sort of popup/warning dialog which can be triggered by the model. Each page needs to have this dialog and I'll probably build it of a container and some basic widgets. How would you implement this without adding the container on every single screen? This seems like it's way to much work considering I'd also need to maintain the MVP structure for each view. Thanks Michael

Hi all,I am developing an IIR filter with CMSIS-DSP but it gives wrong output data mostly (inf) , even that the data is correctly acquired, I test FFT and it's work great! Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've tried numerous boards, with different motors and power supplies.I just can't seem to get it to work, neither using motor profiler or motor control workbench (using the example code). After reaching out to some other people that had the same problem, I was told that this is a problem using cards from batch "B04". Cards from batch B03 are supposed to work (still waiting for delivery). The datasheet states "LQFP48" package on the processor, but it absolutely looks like it's UFQFPN48 on my cards. Could this be the reason it doesn't work?

Hey, I'm working on custom board Touchgfx project and I'm using Keyboard widget for text input. During testing I found out that keyboard Cancel event is not working properly.Description of problem: When i click and hold on one of keys and drag out of this area the keyboard cancels event and nothing happens as expected. But when i click again on any other or same key and release it in area of this key nothing happens again ( here i would expect that belonging character is written in text buffer). Keyboard starts working normal after second press and release.  I tried it also in Keyboard Example in touchgfx UI templates. Example works the same as I described. For better understanding I'm atthacing video.I have already managed to solve these problems by editing the Keyboard.cpp file, but I still report this to clarify whether this is an bug or my misunderstanding of using Keyboard.

Hi everyone! I faced with a problem, when I was trying to start debugin process. I connected my PCB with STM32f072C8T6 to PC, downloaded a programm. It was successfuly done. Then I tryed to start debug mode, but IDE showed the next message: "no source available for " "". MCU has connection showed on the first picture. I think, problem is in hardware part, because I have similar PCB which works fine. Unfortunatly, I can't define what is wrong. Thanks

Hi guys,I am working on Motor Control and I need to set up Combined PWM and ADC trigger syncronize together.Last situation is PWMs working and ADC is trigered so when the ADC is triggered ,interrupt event is running in HAL_ADCEx_InjectedConvCpltCallback that I put in it Led Toggle what I see is trigger event is not runnning in every pwm period.Trigger event is running 1 time and no interrupt 2 times and again running interrupt. If I am gonna tell it in different way --> run wait wait run wait wait run ... Like that ,I am not sure drawing right but probably enough. Also HAL_TIM_TriggerCallback doesn't work._____-----_-----_______-----_-----_______-----_-----________-----_-----_______-----_-----___ PWM 1____-------_-------____-------_-------____-------_-------_____-------_-------____-------_-------___ PWM 2___--------_--------___--------_--------___--------_--------___--------_--------___--------_-------___ PWM 3-------------______________________________________________----------------

Hi AllWhen building "Eco system V2.1.0" distribution of Custom Board based on STM32MP151C chip, there is a problem that devicetree symbolic link is not created.Symbolic link of custom board devicetree is not created in "tmp-glibc/work-shared/stm32mp1-fiscal/kernel-source/arch/arm/boot/dts" folder."TF-A" and "U-Boot" also do not create symbolic link of custom board device tree.Due to the above, an error occurs because there is no "xxxxxxx.dtb" file when building with the "bitbake st-image-core" command. Please let me know if there is a way to fix it without manually creating the symbolic link. Thanks and regardsMachilus

I was trying to erase some flash pages on an stm32g474re nucleo (and on a custom board with the stm32g474veh3).The flash pages are all on flash bank 2, because i read in the reference manual that flash bank 2 can be written while code is running from bank 1.However, erasing pages in the second bank (by setting 'Banks' of the FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef to FLASH_BANK_2) has no effect. In the example given in https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32cubeg4.html, (STM32Cube_FW_G4_V1.1.0/Projects/NUCLEO-G474RE/Examples/FLASH/FLASH_EraseProgram), there is a function defined calleduint32_t GetBank(uint32_t Addr)which just returns FLASH_BANK_1.This does not make sense to me, isn't flash bank 2 the one bank where erasing or writing makes sense?Greetings,Rafael

Hey all,So I may have quite a beginner question but how would one use the IHM03A1 with the L4R5ZI? Are there libraries which I can use for calls? There seem to be no example projects for my current board (albeit there are for a few others under the IHM03A1 Tools and Software tab online). I was going use STM32CubeIDE to work on a project based around the combo but I'm having a hard time configuring the two boards to work together. I've been able to use mbed to run a "Hello World" IHM03A1 project with my target device being the L4R5ZI- everything seemed to work, but what good does that do when there's no way to convert the project to something that'll run in STM32CubeIDE... So I guess at the moment I'm quite lost, any guidance would be much appreciated.

I would like to create a ZigBee application on STM32WB55 controller for CubeIDE. Unfortunately there are no .IOC example files for ZigBee. What components do I need to select in CubeMX to be able to use ZigBee? Should I enable BLE or THREAD (WPAN). In my sample project though I enabled RTC, under RTC/LCD source mux in clock configuration "enable css" is disabled so not able select LSE. What is the mistake I made. Thank you for your time.

Typographies just load few chinese fonts, almost the font I can not find them. Of course, I also put the .ttf files in the assets/fonts.How can I add them in my project?:face_with_tears_of_joy:

Hi guys,I have just installed the "STM32cude IDE'' and have a "nucleo F303 RE''.I'm tryping to create a stm32 project "file -> new -> STM32''. But when initializing everything for the first time, the IDE start dowloading packages and ''stm32cube_fw_f3_v1111.zip'' is one of them. But it always to do so. I have tried many times but no success. I have made researches on the internet, but not much answers either. Some people say to download it manually but I can't find this package. As you can see on the image, the workspace as been created in ''Guest/STM32CubeIDE/workspace/'' which I think is good. What do you think is the problem? And what can I do to start creating my 1st project.thanks in advance.

I've made a mistake and programmed to STM32h745 dual core processor program which was created to STM32H743 with one core. Now I have a problem with connection and ST-Link doesn't recognize device. What can I do with that?I've also tried to supply board under reset (NRST pulled down to GND) and I get the fail "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU".

RM0316The reserved space is clearly indicated at the top, and the style changes abruptly on the next page, and the reserve is no longer specified. what is the result of missing addresses ? why can't a single style be maintained ? for clarity.

My Board is the STM32-G431KB Nucleo-32. I have a Mavlink Serial Tx/Rx (From a PX4 Autopilot) connected to PA10/PA9.I am attempting to receive serial data at 115200 8N1 on UART1 and then send it at the same rate on UART2. I am just doing a basic polling implementation of HAL_UART_Receive() grabbing a single byte at a time.Unfortunately, HAL_UART_Receive only gets the first byte and transmits it. After the first loop, HAL_UART_Receive doesn't get any new data from the serial line. I can see there is good data coming in on UART1 with a logic analyzer. If I don't set to 0 in the while loop, it just transmits out the last byte received over and over.int main(void) { /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART

I'm trying to port the STM32G071 NUCLEO DEMO downloaded via TouchGFX Designer 4.15.0 to the NUCLEO-F446RE.In order to use the external SPI Flash memory on the X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 I need the external loder for the STM32F4 processor. The project downloaded via TouchGFX Designer 4.15.0 provides the external loader MX25L6433F_STM32G071B_NUCLEO.stldr in binary format. Is it possible to have the external loader project so that it can be adapted to other STM32s (STM32F446 in my case) ?Or I have to necessarily implement it from scratch, maybe I get started on the MOOC "How to create an external QSPI loader MOOC" ?

In the new version of IDE, it became possible to select different toolchains. I updated GNU Tools to the latest version available, but C ++ 17 never showed up in the list of available ones.

So far, the boards are working correctly up until the Bus voltage reaches around 130Vin. Then, when monitoring the gate signals on the board at the GH and GL pin on the MasterGAN, the high side of one of the boards seems to not switch correctly anymore. The low side is switching just fine (so out of the 4 gate signals of the 2 EVAL boards, 1 of them stops working correctly). I have tried adding more bootstrap capacitance to the EVAL board, but that doesn't seem to work. Is there a certain amount of power that the internal bootstrap diode can handle, and we need to add an external one, or is there another problem?

I have an STM32MP157A-DK1 dev board and I have successfully build and flashed the st-image-core (Distribution-Package) and flashed to sdcard.I want to add ModemManager and NetworkManager to the build. I see that meta-oe layer appears to be included and within meta-oe is a recipes-connectivity which contains ModemManager. How can I enable this in the build?Additionally, I don't see NetworkManager in any layers. Is thare an equivalent functionality within another package?Thank you

I am using the IMU LSM9DS1. However, when developing the library for communicating with the IMU and reading the accelerometer values, I noticed something odd.According to the datasheet, the sensitivity of the accelerometer is given by: which normally can be given by the formula: scale / 32768, where scale = 2,4,8,16;This formula works for all scales except for 16g. In this case, the formula gives 0.488 mg/LSBSo, I wanted to know if the formula that I am using is wrong or if the datasheet is wrong, because according to the formula, the 0.732mg/LSB sensitivity corresponds to 24g. Also when using the sensitivity value of 0.732mg/LSB I can obtain readings of 20gThanks in advance,Best regards

HelloAre the screen buttons visible in the main.c function? Do they need to be communicated in some way?Best regerdsAndrzej

HiHow do I install a new font?best regardsAndrzej
