In my own application , I noticed that Flash page erase stopped working once i cleared the DBANK flag in the option bits.While i start debug this, i see a irregularityIt looks there is a difference in datasheet and ST-Link , the datasheet says when DBANK = 0 we use single bank configuration, but the tiptool in ST-link says the opposite. I suppose the datasheet is correct?To debug this issue i downloaded the FLASH_EraseProgram example for the NUCLEO-G474RE board. This example works fine in DUAL bank mode, but i wonder how to test in SINGLE bank mode. i see in stm32g4xx_hal_flash.h this line : #if defined (FLASH_OPTR_DBANK)This checks the DBANK FLAG , and when this is set , the flash HAL defines will be configured for a single bank FLASH ? This seems like a a bug in the hal files?How do i test the single bank flash HAL codes properly , at this moment this is all very confusing?Thank you#if defined (FLASH_OPTR_DBANK) #define FLASH_SIZE ((((*((uint16_t *)FLASH_SIZE_DATA_REGISTER)) == 0xFFF

Hi,I have NUCLEO-G071RB board . How to calculate 1KHz frequency with STM32G071 Output compare ?My System Clock frequency is 64 MHz .  --Karan

We discovered that the SA0 Input of the IIS2DH of your accelerometers has a very high pull up current.The pull up is about 40 kOhm at IIC adress select line input. If engineers will use two IIS2DH in there design.Than the IIS2DH at adres 0x18, means SA0 is LOW, then this chip will draw 10 to 15 times the normal operational current. For an extreme low power device. This is a very special feature from ST.We would like to know: What is the feature of this pull up Why is it not specified in the datasheets? Wil the IIS2DH soon become obselete?

Hi guys,On USB Host Mass storage mode, I am creating a text file using (f_open(&myFile, "TEST2.TXT", FA_WRITE | FA_CREATE_ALWAYS function.For writing text into the file, I use sprintf(rwtext, "Hello World"); function to write the text into the txt file.Now, What function should I use if I want to log a "variable" that is changing from time to time and write it as a text in a txt file? (Like, X is an input voltage that's changing frequently, and I would like to log this voltage value and save it in a column as txt file in ).Any help is highly appreciated on this.

Hi, I'm new here. Working with STM32F303 and wanting to use the DAC externally and internally with comparators in an adaptive threshold config. Can the DAC be disconnected and the COMP internal + point hold a charge and continue to work while the DAC is changed and connected to another comparator. I will refresh say every 1mS.Plan B is to connect the COMP external pin AND DAC internally together and use an external holding capacitor. Is this possible?Plan C route DAC out to other analog GPIOs (multiplex) and wire to COMPs external pins with external holding capacitors. Looking at the datasheet, seems the DAC out is fixed.So basically how much internal capacitance and impedance do the COMP inputs have?Has anyone here tried it?

Hello!I'm trying to program multiple STM32F432VIT6 MCUs at the same time, from the same computer using many ST-LINKV2 connected via USB.I want it to be automatic so I'm using the ST-LINK Utility CLI to program them via C#.So far I've been able to list all the ST-LINK devices connected to the computer and to program the board when only one device is connected, but when I connect two devices I can not give the program instruction -P the serial number of the device I want to target.I think it should be possible since the ST-LINK Utility Tool has a list in which one can select the target device.I'm following the ST-LINK Utility ManualDoes someone has an idea of how can I achieve this? Thank you!

Hi All,I need to record time stamps in the code, how i can do it? is there any example code is available?Thanks,Basava.

Without any move, my H3LIS331DL on a MKI153V1 kit, and read from and STM32L4 MCU, gives values around X=1,5 / Y=2 / Z=3 G at 200g full scale.Is that "Zero Offset" normal ?Should I do anything to get values closer from 0 / 0 / 1

Hello! I am trying to get CubeProgrammer to flash a NAND on a custom board.UBOOT detects the NAND chip and mtdparts lists the following:STM32MP> sf probe STM32MP> mtdparts   device spi-nand0 <spi-nand0>, # parts = 4 #: name size offset mask_flags 0: fsbl 0x00200000 0x00000000 0 1: ssbl1 0x00200000 0x00200000 0 2: ssbl2 0x00200000 0x00400000 0 3: UBI 0x1fa00000 0x00600000 0   active partition: spi-nand0,0 - (fsbl) 0x00200000 @ 0x00000000   defaults: mtdids : spi-nand0=spi-nand0 mtdparts: mtdparts=spi-nand0:2m(fsbl),2m(ssbl1),2m(ssbl2),-(UBI)It looks as though the FSBL partition size is 0x00200000 and it located at 0x0; however, when I attempt to use cube programmer with this TSV:#Opt Id Name Type IP Offset Binary - 0x01 fsbl1-boot Binary none 0x0 arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-stm32mp157c-viper-serialboot.stm32 - 0x03 ssbl-boot Binary none 0x0 bootloader/u-boot-stm32mp157c-viper-trusted.stm32 P 0x04 fsbl1 Binary spi-nand0 0x00000000 arm-trusted-firmware/tf-a-s

I'm trying to establish communication between a Raspberry Pi and an STM32F407. The Pi is Master and the F407 is a full duplex slave. The SPI is configured with circular mode DMA. When the data is sent from the Pi, I do receive it at the F407. However, the moment that transaction ends, the receive buffer in the F407 becomes 0x00 again wiping away all received data. I'm guessing this is because of the circular DMA?I tried creating a copy of the original receive buffer in the HAL_SPI_TxRxCpltCallback function but that did not work. It seems to get called after the If I configure the DMA in normal mode, the SPI transaction runs once and then stops whereas I want it to run continuously in the background. How do I solve this?

Hello,I have just updated to the latest: STMECubeMX to version 6.1.1. and STM32CubeF1 Firmware Package V1.8.3 / 20-October-2020. Part Number: Stm32f103RCTx. And I have found the bug - probably ? When you use SDIO and define it as 1bit, the CubeMX claims that UART4 and UART5 become unavailable. It warns about conflict with SDIO_D2 and so on.But at 1bit mode I do not use SDIO_D2. And with previous version (5.6..?) of CubeMX it was working well. Something went wrong with this new Cube / Package version? I hope :) Best regards.Robert

Hi,I am working on interfacing IS25LP128 128Mbit QSPI Flash with STM32H743 Nucleo board. I am running into problem with how the QSPI controller is driving the NCS line. The flash requires that the chip select remains low between command and data read/write operations. But the way QSPI HAL APIs are provided, it required two different calls. First to set command, and second to transmit or receive data.The problem is that the QSPI controller drives NCS high between these call, and the flash reject the transaction. Is is something I am missing in using the QSPI HAL driver? Has anyone found any solution for this?QSPI Initializationstatic void MX_QUADSPI_Init(void){  /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 0 */  /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 0 */  /* USER CODE BEGIN QUADSPI_Init 1 */  /* USER CODE END QUADSPI_Init 1 */  /*

Hi,I am trying to implement CAN interface in STM32F072RBT6System clock speed - 8MHzBaud rate for CAN - 500KbpsPrescalar - 1CAN peripheral clock speed - 8 MHzso TQ - 16I have set the Time quanta seg1 - 9 Time quanta seg2 - 6 Time quanta sync width - 1But I am not sure about how to set the seg1 & seg 2 values.Can any one help me to clear this fundamentals, how to select these parameters?

Hi all, I am using X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 + NUCLEO-L476RG as for preliminary test. I've tested the SampleApp example and it works fine. The final goal is to use the BlueNRG-M2SA in a stm32h753XI custom board + custom antenna. I've tried to generate the SampleApp using cubeMX without success (same issue as descrived below)By now, I'm trying to use the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 within both, my stm32h753XI custom board and a NUCLEO-H745ZI-Q (this is dual core, but i'm only using the M7-core). I'm also using the SampleApp example with no success so far.I configure the necessary EXTI, CS, RESET pins for the SoC as well as the corresponding SPI interface. I'm always stuck at the same point: performing an hci_reset(); returns me a BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUT on the SPI send command because when doing a CS reset the IRQ pin never gets ready./* CS reset */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(HCI_TL_SPI_CS_PORT, HCI_TL_SPI_CS_PIN, GPIO_PIN_RESET);   /* * Wait until BlueNRG-2 is ready. * When ready it will raise the IRQ pin. */

So I'm looking at the reference manual of STM32F723 to find out how to control the USBPHYC peripheral. Actually there is no programmer's guide in there like for most peripherals, so I can only rely on the register map to find anything out about it. The LDO register has an LDO_DISABLE bit, that shall be set to 1 to disable the LDO.Now let's check the HAL drivers:stm32f7xx_ll_usb.c has USB_HS_PHYCInit() function to start the PHYC (but there's no function to stop it...). The first step of this function is: /* Enable LDO */ USB_HS_PHYC->USB_HS_PHYC_LDO |= USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_ENABLE;Well that's strange, I didn't find an LDO_ENABLE bit in the reference manual. But when I look at this definition, turns out:/* Legacy */ [...] #define USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_ENABLE USB_HS_PHYC_LDO_DISABLESo this is confusing. To "Enable LDO", one must set the DISABLE bit? There must be an error in either the HAL drivers or in the reference manual (+ the CMSIS header of the devices). The question is, which one is the in

I have a problem with the output in cp1251 encoding.settings that I made:Window--->Preferences--->General--->Workspace ---> entered CP1251 ---> next apple and closeproject ---> properties ---> Resourse ---> entered cp1251 ---> next apple and close Add code : char str[32]; sprintf(str,"Привет"); 4. rebuild project 5.I didn't get any errorsI opened it in notepad in the hex editor and saw the following words for the word "привет":d0 9f d1 80 d0 b8 d0 b2 d0 b5 d1 82

Why does this happen ? Could this, in part, be due to me not knowing whether to choose "new C project" vs "new C++" project?Using: STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1Build: 9029_20201210_1234 (UTC)OS: Windows 8.1, v.6.3, x86_64 / win32Java version: 1.8.0_272
