Question #1:In my system, I have 3.3V available, so I was planning to use that for AVDDVCSEL & AVDD since it is within the range but the I2C interface will run at 1.8V.The 1.8V seems fine from a Vih/Vil point of view. My concern is around IOVDD and 2V8 mode. Given the above situation, I cannot tell if I need to use USE_I2C_2V8k or not.In DocID031281 Rev 3, Section 5.2, Table 14 on page 23, it talks about IOVDD - but this isn't a pin. Digging further:Note 4 says:The default driver mode is 1V8.2V8 mode is programmable using device settings loaded by the driver. For more details please refer to the VL53L1X API user manual (UM2356)UM2356 says:2.5.9 VDDIO configurationAs described in the datasheet, the user can select two modes for a VDDIO value of 1V8 or 2V8 modes. The selection of the mode is made directly in the code though a compilation key called USE_I2C_2V8k.If this compilation key is defined, the system will go into 2V8 mode, otherwise, it will be kept in the default 1V8 mode.Ques

Hi !I am unable to find the workspace project in NUCLEO-G071RB with X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 which is shown in its original demo. Can you please share the location from where I can find this project.Regards,VK Verma

Hello,I'm trying the NAND boot on our STM32MP157AAB3 custom board but until today I could't make the ROM code load the tf-a image from this memory.I'm yet able to boot from uSD (SDMMC1), eMMC (SDMMC2) and serial NOR (QUADSPI). For uSD I partitioned the device as described in wiki, for eMMC the only way I found to make the ROM code able to load the image is programming it via STM32CubeProgrammer (same procedure of uSD won't work), for NOR I wrote it from u-boot with sf commands. Our board is equipped with Winbond W29N08GVSIAA parallel NAND, connected to the FMC default pins as stated in wiki. The NAND datasheet report all the ONFI parameters requested by the ROM code, none of the OTP is blown. I'm building tf-a, u-boot and linux kernel from the ST repos aligned to STM32MP15-ecosystem-v2.1.0 release, the dts are created starting from STM32CubeMX output with USER CODE added according to wiki. When I boot from another device, in u-boot I'm able to detect, write and read the NAND device. Writ

If I order from st, how many days does it usually take to get to Korea?I placed an order last week... it's only for processing.

Hi there, I am using EVAL6498L to test a boost converter having one switch and one diode. I was wondering if I can use a synchronous rectifier in my boost converter, in other words if it is possible to control both switches (one high side switch and one low side switch), using EVAL6498L.From the schematic I have found in the datasheet of 6498L gate driver, it seems that the 6498L IC is made on-purpose to control a high-side and a low-side switch in the same switching leg.  However, what I am not sure about is the connections on the "From Controller" on the left side of the drawing. In particular, 1) if I provide a PWM from a microcontroller which has one ground reference, connected to SGND, do I need to galvanically isolate the top PWM going to the gate driver? (i.e. does the PWM signal going to HIN need to be galvanically isolated? - that is not referenced to SGND)2) I am a bit confused about SGND and PGND, I understand that these are signal and power ground, where the signal gro

To set the wakeup thershold, I use WAKE_UP_THS and for single-tap I use the same functions as the example (https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STMems_Standard_C_drivers/blob/master/lis2dw12_STdC/example/lis2dw12_tap_single.c). Morever, I set 0x01100000 in CTRL4_INT1_PAD_CTRL, to enable wakeup and single tap interrupts. And when I do that, the bit SINGLE_TAP in STATUS is never at 1, but when I set 0x01000000, it works.

Hello,I am curious if there is a RFID reader that extends the communication distance for STEVAL-SMARTAG1. If so, could you kindly provide the link and description. Thanks in advance,J.X

I have an application which must send > 100KB/day to an RFID/NFC reader (I'm using the STM25R Disco) - for days and years on end.Looking at the EEPROM spec, it's good for 600k write cycles at 85 °C(That means even at 64Kbit EEPROM, wear leveling would be critical for long life.)The Fast Transfer Mode buffer / mailbox is intriguing (256 Bytes) - it seems perfect for my use case - (mainly polling data) - however I cannot find any information about the type of memory used for this or number of write cycles it supports in the datasheet. So, what type memory is used for this FTM mailbox? How many write cycles can it handle?Thank you very much

Hello,I'm trying to setup the system based on SMT32F407 with ThreadX, and enable the print float option for logging feature. Everything works fine! But when we started stability test, thousands of logs are composed with vsnprintf, but it finally fails in some call, like below shown:I tried to use "-mfloat-abi=soft" or "softtp" instead of "-mfloat-abi=hard", but no improvement at all. And I tried to find the answer from website, but no lucks for this issue.Could anyone give me the opinion to resolve this issue?

Would you please help pointing chips with exact pinout and specs if any as replacement for:QSPI: MT25QL512ABB8ESF-0SITSDRAM: MT48LC4M32B2B5-6A IT_L TR

Hey.. Hi.. hello..Hope you all are doing wellI've my custom made board, which is quite similar with the STM32MP157 DK2 board Unfortunately, it's unable to bootDTS configuration for the PMIC, Clock and UART seems good I need to starts with the SPL/U-boot I need to know, is there any way to debug the SPL/U-boot via CubeIDE ?I'm intended to do GDB debug via JTAG All suggestions and recommendations welcome Thanks :)

I had downloaded the source code and try to build the project with Xcode 10.2. it show that "Checksign.h" is missing. I cannot find this header in any source folder. Is it a external header?I am new to iOS app development. :grinning_face_with_sweat:

(Note: D16 anode is connected to L6699 pin 3, CF). That connection is marked "connection made by re-work". I seek an explanation as to why this connection was done.Question 2: Several components on the schematic are marked "N.M.", eg: D16, C43. What does "N.M." mean? Many thanks!Edit 02-Dec-2020: Added image below, the relevant portion of the schematic.

Hello Everyone, im am building a custom PCB using the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q as a reference but i am not sure what the difference between the STM32H755ZIT6 and the STM32H755ZIT6U is. The scematic uses the STM32H755ZIT6U but that one isnt in stock, so i would like use the STM32H755ZIT6. Is there any difference between these two? Can someone help me?

I use CR95HF with UART communication for some applications. I notice that occasionally (seemingly at random) the CR95 will stop responding to any UART commands. I send an ECHO and receive no response. I have experienced this with several of my own designs as well as with X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 development boardOn the rare occasion that I catch this and am able to troubleshoot I have tried cycling power to the chip. This usually fixes it, but not always. Sometimes I have to leave power off for minutes before it will work again.I began suspecting that the issue was temperature dependent as the problem only seems to occur after ~1 hour of being powered up. I tested heating and cooling the device while sending ECHO commands but could not reproduce the problem at all.My best guess now is that the problem stems from the crystal oscillator. I noticed that the oscillator is not always running during normal operation. Perhaps it has trouble starting up in some scenarios? Is there any known issue with

I built the project with CubeMX 6.2.1. I have added the call in main to the sequencer. I have added the sequencer header file. I have added the IPCC IRQHandler functions to stm32wbxx_it.c.The project builds fine and downloads to the NUCLE0 WB55. It starts up and advertises as expected but it will not let me connect to it.Attached is my CubeMX project.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! To be honest, I have been struggling for a while with the LCD of my STM32F769I-DISCO in order to display on this one either a picture or a word. The screen stays switched off (or it looks like it). I have already followed many instructions available on the Internet and I still don't find any solution. Do some complete tutorials exist, especially in a video format?I'm using STM32CubeIDE.I truly thank you in advance for your help.Sincerely,

Hello, I am using Keil and generating a *.bin file of my program from the *.axf file.I would like to know if there is a way to check before loading the binary file if it is corrupted. Is there some checksum to read or something.

I want to read LIS2DTW12 data using SPI which is also shared with another device, can I use the LIS2DTW12 CS pin as chip select and operate devices one by one.because according to the LIS2DTW12 datasheet:State of CS1: SPI idle mode / I²C communication enabled;0: SPI communication mode / I²C disabledi.e if cs = 1 --> I2C Enabled, read/write operation on another device will disturb the LIS2DTW12 device.

It complains about not finding mfc140.dll.I do have mfc140.dll in C:\Windows\System32.What next?JW[EDIT] The CLI does not run either, throws the same error:  After copying mfc140.dll into the directory where the stlink-utility executable is located (d:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32 ST-LINK Utility 4.5\ST-LINK Utility\), attempting to run it results in  [EDIT2] You may have noticed that the directory name I mentioned above contains "4.5". That's because running the installator it offered only to rewrite the existing installation, with no further options - which is quite nasty, too. After uninstalling v4.6 and reinstalling v4.5 (which I wisely archived), v4.5 works.

If I want CubeIde to use a specific gnu arm version which is on my local system, should I just setup the build variable "gnu_arm_embedded_compiler_path" ? Is that enough? If I wish to check the current version that cube ide is using, how do I do that?Sorry, maybe basic questions but would be of help. Thanks!

The 'reset debug' icon was displayed in V1.6.0 but is no longer visible in V1.6.1. Is this a bug in V1.6.1 or a configuration error of mine? The code is running in the Flash, not RAM (as far as I am aware). Thanks! Mike.

Also, I am Facing an issue with the proxy setting I am select No proxy and I see an error like this "Problem during server connection" How to resolve this? Please.

Hi all,I'm currently deploying hardware that can have either the LIS2HH12 or IIS2DLPCAccording to the datasheet the LIS2HH12 stores the temperature as two's complement / 11 bit / 8 digit per degrees celcius.So I convert it this way:int16_t tilt_read_temp(void) { uint8_t temperature[2]; int32_t temp;   lis2hh12_temperature_raw_get(&dev_ctx, temperature);   temp = (temperature[1] << 8) | temperature[0]; temp = temp>>5; temp = ((temp * 125) / 10) + 2500; temp = temp / 10; return temp; }This gives me 211 my notation for 21.1 degreesThe other sensor IIS2DLPC should be 12 bits, two's complement 16 lsb per degrees celcius.So I convert that one as:int16_t tilt_read_temp(void) { uint8_t temperature[2]; int32_t temp;   iis2dlpc_temperature_raw_get(&dev_ctx, temperature);   temp = (temperature[1] << 8) | temperature[0]; temp = temp>>4; temp = ((temp * 625) / 100) + 2500; temp = temp / 10; return temp; }But this one returns 27
