Two Usart - TX - lines shall be used either in PP- output- or in Usart - TX - mode. The switchover from a normal output pin to a Uart - TX - pin produces an High/ Low edge on TX followed by an interrupt on TX side.On RX- side this H/L edge causes an unwanted Interrupt too. And that is the actual problem. The cause is the following sequence u32ModeBack = GPIOA->MODER;u32ModeBack &= ~(GPIO_MODER_MODE2_Msk | GPIO_MODER_MODE15_Msk);      u32ModeBack |= (0x02ul<<GPIO_MODER_MODE2_Pos);                  //Alternate output functionGPIOA->MODER = u32ModeBack; Is there a possibility to avoid this additional output of pulses?

I have downloaded the latest version of the STM32CubeIDE.Version: 1.7.0 Build: 10852_20210715_0634 (UTC)Integrated STM32CubeMX version: STM32CubeMX - STM32 Device Configuration Tool Version: 6.3.0-RC5 Build: 20210714-1111 (UTC) Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. I never had to install anything separately before.Update:I installed CubeMX (v6.3.0) to generate the initial IOC file and that went fine.On opening the IOC file (after setting up the project with said IOC file), the kernel seems to have crashed (notification on startup) and my system just shut down.I am using fedora 34.

there is some code left out of the Cube initialisation that causes this issueplease put this back in...using L432 today, but this issue is a HAL problem. This corrected function fixes this issue. Hi,there is probably small bug when generating project STM32CubeIDE using LwIP stack. In file LWIP/App/lwip.c, there is duplicate user code section 4_3. This is present twice (on lines 113 and 151):/* USER CODE BEGIN 4_3 */ /* USER CODE END 4_3 */First is in function static void Ethernet_Link_Periodic_Handle(struct netif *netif), second is in function void MX_LWIP_Process(void). This means that all the code, that is written to the upper section, is after code generation duplicated to the lower one. Its not a big issue but it is annoying to correct it after every code generation.I use STM32CubeIDE: CubeMX version: Firmware Package Name and Version : STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.9.0Karel

Hi,We tested the receiving sensitivity of the RFID reader evaluation kit ST25RU3993-HPEV, and the actual measurement is -66dBm, but the sensitivity given in each document is -77dBm.The sensitivity given here(-77dBm) is the sensitivity of the ST25RU3993 chip or the reader evaluation kit? Thanks in advance.

Hi there. It appears that the STM32G0B1KET LQFP32 MCU lacks a UCPD1_CC2 pin. For this reason I have a couple questions. Can another pin be set to something that will function the same as the UCPD1_CC2 pin? Can UCPD_DBCC1 and UCPD_DBCC2 be used for normal USB-PD functionality aside from dead-battery support? Can USB-PD be implemented with just the UCPD1_CC1 pin?

i followed the setup procedure described in the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEzfqKt3exE.i checked the path that is displayed in the error message and it does exist. the file the debug session is trying to write to is the name of the executable and it does exist.any help in understanding what this error means would be appreciated.thanks, vince

HI all,Is it possible to just compile the kernel in yocto environment for stm32mp1 using command : bitbake -C compile virtual/kernelThis command is currently failing with below error message : If not this , then what is the correct way to do it?I have another thread running here , where in if try to build it stand-alone with SDK it is failing due to GLIBC issues.

I make my own custom board using STM32 MCU(ex Stm32f4 disco) so I want to store it's gpio clock settings all configuration next time I want to use this board then all settings are initialise automatically how can I do this?

There doesn't seem to be anywhere to post issues with the forum itself?I couldn't login this morning - the site kept saying my password was wrong.I know that it wasn't wrong, because I copy it from a password manager. So I had to do a password reset. There it became obvious that the password rules (length, upper/lower case, symbols, etc) have changed. This really shouldn't just break existing passwords:pouting_face: At the very least, you should give a message like, "Our password rules have changed; you need to reset your password".#UXFail

I set the FMC Base Address as 0x6c00007ebut this value is changed to 0x7800007Eand lcd doesn't show anything. I changed this value to this.It works properly.and I changed the value as 0x60000000,CubeMX is automatically generated correctly.

Will STM32CubeIDE be ST's preferred IDE in the future?

I'm using a SoM with a STM32MP157C. I've connected a LTE modem to uart7, its connected with a 4-wire uart, going trough a level shifter. The device tree contains the following:uart7_pins_mx: uart7_mx-0 { pins1 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('E', 7, AF7)>, /* UART7_RX */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 10, AF7)>; /* UART7_CTS */ bias-disable; }; pins2 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('E', 8, AF7)>, /* UART7_TX */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 9, AF7)>; /* UART7_RTS */ bias-disable; drive-push-pull; slew-rate = <0>; }; };   uart7_sleep_pins_mx: uart7_sleep_mx-0 { pins { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('E', 7, ANALOG)>, /* UART7_RX */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 8, ANALOG)>, /* UART7_TX */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 9, ANALOG)>, /* UART7_RTS */ <STM32_PINMUX('E', 10, ANALOG)>; /* UART7_CTS */ }; };and &uart7{ pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep"; pinctrl-0 = <&uart7_pins_mx>; pinctrl-1 = <&uart7_sleep_pins_

HelloI'm using a NUCLEO-STM32F446RE and a X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1. And the used Motor Profiler version is ver 1.3.2 (MC SDK 5.4.5).I changed the IHM08M1 according to UM1996 page 6 (Removed Capacitors C3, C5 and C7, Set Jumpers JP1 and JP2 closed and J5 &J6 on 3-Sh side).Additionally are on the IHM08M1 J9 open and JP3 closed. The motor is attached to IHM08M1 with U on Out1, V on Out2 and W cable on Out3.The NUCLEO-STM32F446RE Jumpers are configured as mentioned in UM1996 to JP1 open, JP6 closed and JP5 on E5V side. The settings in the Motor Profiler are as in the Datasheet of the motor on    3 Pole Pairs,    4500 RPM Max Speed (motor's datasheet has this value as speed - no load)   16 Apk max Current (that's the Peak Current in the motor's datasheet)   48 V VBUS (the rated Voltage of the motor)   SM-PMSM Magnetic (assumed, as no Ld/Lq-ration is mentioned in the datasheet)Running the Motor Profiler with this configurat

Hi,I'm testing IIS3DWB MEMS accelerometer. It is set FIFO in continuous mode and FIFO watermark WTM[7:0] = 256.FIFO threshold interrupt on INT1 pin is enabled. The uC reads 256 data (7 bytes each) from FIFO_DATA_OUT_TAG as soon as INT goes high. Data is correct. After that the uC reads DIFF_FIFO_[7:0], it has a value >256 so it seems that it didn't decrement. Thus it never interrupts again.Should the counter DIFF_FIFO_[7:0] decrement every data is read? Thanks

ST-LINK V2 Programmer NOT working for STM32G0B1KET6NKindly help me to upload the programHere i attached the schematic for your reference.

I had to reinstall Windows on my PC. I made a backup of my projects and after everything was running I've downloaded and installed the latest STM32CubeIDE version. I'm trying to import my TouchGFX project back to the new workspace but it isn't compiling anymore. The reported error is: cannot find -l:libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.ac:\st\stm32cubeide_1.5.0\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.7-2018-q2-update.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: cannot find -l:libtouchgfx-float-abi-hard.aAny thoughts?

If I open "Help > Check for Updates", I encounter an "Insufficient access privileges to apply this update" error.I installed by following this guide:https://www.st.com/resource/en/user_manual/dm00603964-stm32cubeide-installation-guide-stmicroelectronics.pdfAnd running the following command:sudo sh st-stm32cubeide_1.4.0_7511_20200720_0928_amd64.deb_bundle.shI'm then able to launch the IDE from the OS GUI, just like any other app.To update, do I need to launch STM32CubeIDE as root from CLI and then navigate to the update dialog?sudo /opt/st/stm32cubeide_1.4.0/stm32cubeideOr will that mess things up more? If there are special update instructions for Linux, the guide should include those. A workaround is to re-download and re-install the IDE, but doing that for every update is not ideal. And in this case, there's no way to download 1.4.2. The latest available is still 1.4.0. https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubeide.html

I have Timer 2 interrupt and an UART 4 interrupt for reading from a GPS module. But they don't work with each other. When I disable Timer 2 interrupt UART 4 interrupt starts to work.I did set Timer 2 interrupt preemption priority to 1 and UART 4 interrupt preemption priority to 0. And nothing changed. If I understood it correctly it looks like Timer interrupt is so fast and distrupts the UART interrupt. But again If I understood it correctly with preemption priority settings software shouldn't call Timer interrupt when in UART interrupt because UART interrupt has a priority. What I'm doing wrong in here? Thank you for reading.
