Hello,I have been looking into this RTO flag provided in STM32F303 UART.According to the manual"The timeout function and interrupt must be activated, through the RTOEN bit in the USART_CR2 register and the RTOIE in the USART_CR1 register. The value corresponding to a timeout of 2 character times (for example 22 x bit duration) must be programmed in the RTO register. when the receive line is idle for this duration, after the last stop bit is received, an interrupt is generated, informing the software that the current block reception is completed. "I am running a UART at 115200 baud rate. According to my calculations, one bit duration at this BR is 86 micro seconds (1/115200). To generate an interrupt after 3 sec of no data, I put the value of "34833" in the Receiver timeout register (USART_RTOR).I sent one char to my uart but the RTO interrupt triggered almost immediately instead of a delay of approx 3 seconds.Am I doing the calculation wrong? I want to basically generate an interr

I just updated STM32CubeMX from version 6.2.0 to 6.3.0 which configured the adc.c file by inserting the line of code highlighted in the figure. The compiler gives an error recognizing that the 'ADCClockSelection' parameter does not exist. How can this error be corrected?

Hi amazing forum.. I am wondering if there is a way to save as HEX file the memory read from the stm32 cube programmer.. I am asking this because I want to check that the bootloader that I am creating is exaclty writing what I expect ...Thanks a lot guys

Hi, I'm MesutI'm working STM32MP157C and use DP83867IRRGZ Ethernet Phy in RGMII Mode. There is no 125 MHz from CLK_OUT of DP83867IRRGZ on default mode.But STM32MP157C need 125 MHz on its PG5 pin. For STM32MP157C we must provide a 125 MHz clock from DP83867IRRGZ or RCC.I create pll4p -> ethck_k clock 125 MHz follow the https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Ethernet_device_tree_configuration. I saw this by calling the "cat /sys/kernel/debug/clk/clk_summary" command on linux.pll4_p              0    0    0  125000000     0   0 50000     ethptp_k          0    0    0  125000000     0   0 50000     ethck_k     &nb

Hello,We are designing a PCB based on the NUCLEO-WL55JC boardWe are looking for the Altium project files.Someone can share a link?Thanks.BEEPH

I'm currently trying to implement the eeprom emulation library provided by ST on an STM32G473CB. However, I'm dubious about whether this library, and also the HAL flash modules, are properly detecting that I'm working with this specific device.From what I can gather in the table on page 4 of the following document, the STM32G473CB is a category 2 device given that it has 128kb of flash. https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/training/technical/product_training/group0/33/dc/74/43/0e/2d/46/4b/STM32G4-Memory-Flash_FLASH/files/STM32G4-Memory-Flash_FLASH.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.STM32G4-Memory-Flash_FLASH.pdfThis implies that it doesn't have dual bank capability, but this seems to be disregarded by the CMSIS header file for STM32G473xx devices (stm32g473xx.h) and then in turn by the libraries provided by ST.The HAL flash modules and the eeprom emulation library appear to detect dbank capability by checking for a FLASH_OPTR_DBANK define, as seen in the following set of macros found i

Hello, I am trying to create anew project for STM32H745 discovery board.I included middleware "STMicroelectronix-X-CUBE-AZRTOS-H7 -> ThreadX / Core" option.But when I generate the code, there is no middleware code in the project.Please see attached snapshots for more details

Hi,I'm using the LSM6DS33 MEMS and found that in different temperatures the zero-level offset of the device gyroscope changes significantly.I recorded several recordings while the device is static, and found that consistently when the temperature increases the gyroscope measurements in the Z-axis increase, in the X-axis decrease and in the Y-axis don't change. See for example the plot attached of the gyroscope and temperature measurements over 20 minutes recording. The temperature initial value is 27C and final is 45C, the gyroscope Z value starts with -2.8845 and ends with -1.6794, and X value starts with 4.2124 and ends with 2.9963.The gyroscope values are not the same for each temperature in different trials, but as mentioned - the changes seems correlated to the temperature change. I'm using 250dps range in gyroscope dps and 8g range in the accelerometer.The temperature was taken from the device (not measured using any external device). My questions: Are these findings make sense t

Hi,I am working to make application of USB host. At initial stage, I need to read how big is the free size of attached USB stick using the FAT file system middle ware. Can someone give me some pointer which FAT system interface I can use? I know how to mount and dismount, but not sure how to get this USB stick free size.

I have recently got a brand new Sensortile and a nucleo L476RG. I checked if the tile was working by connecting the tile to the cradle expansion board (STLCX01V1) and using the bluetooth app from ST (STBLESensor). The system worked and I could view data being streamed to the app.In order to view the data to the PC, I decided to solder the tile to the mini cradle (the one with SD card and battery slot, STLCR01V1), connected the SWD interface the Nucleo, removed the CN2 jumper and connected the Nucleo to the computer via the USB cable. I observed three things.when Nucleo is connected, a file called Fail.txt is shown on screen, which says "The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU"No LED flashes on the tile. When I tested the tile with the cradle expansion and bluetooth app, I remember a red/orange LED flashing.The nucleo is detected as expected by the computer as a virtual com port (COM3). When I launch STMCubeMX and try to read the address, it says read failed.When I in

Hi,I try to use MLX90393 with my STM32-F4 DISC board on SPI2. I can communicate with it, read and write non volatile memory, he responds to me.The steps that I'm doing are:Go to Single Measurment mode ( 0x3F )Send Read Measurment command ( 0x4F) Read measurments and go back to step 1.After SM command I get 0x23 status, which means that:I got into SM modeI have all bytes of data to receiveAfter RM command I get 0x33 status:I am in SM modeI GOT AN ERRORI have all bytes of data to receiveThen I tried exiting and reseting, which helps with an error bit, but then after writing RM command i again get an error. Basically, I always get an error after RM command.Here is what i have in registers of non volatile memory:REGISTER, 15-8 bit, 7-0 bit0x00, 0x72, 0x7C0x01, 0xC0, 0x000x02, 0x00, 0x05registers from 0x03 to 0x09 have 0x0000.What am I doing wrong? What is causing this error?My baud rate od SP2 is 562.5 KBits/s so I assume that it's not the high speed.Here is a picture of what I get.Maybe i

I couldn't find within the data sheets whether the chip suffix, 3 or 6, which indicates temperature range, is programmed in the chip. This might help to set temperature alerts at the right level.Does it exist?

The STM32F105RBT6 manual shows that there are 1 control endpoint, 3 IN endpoints, 3 OUT endpoints, but the USB driver code generated by CubeMX now shows hpcd_USB_OTG_FS.Init.dev_endpoints = 4; are these 3 IN and OUT endpoints shared? 4 endpoints and 1 is the control endpoint for user-defined use, only 3 are not enough and they are less than the lower-end STM32F103

Hello,I'm using adafruit ST25DV module with Nordic 52832 as host MCU, and porting the code to host bases on the ST25DV_DISCOVERY_FW_V1.1.2 demo, then encountered below issues:1) In the demo, after enabling FTM, host MCU will keep monitoring the it status MsgInMailbox by calling BSP_NFCTAG_ReadITSTStatus_Dyn but after porting, host MCU never get this interrupt but can get the RFPutMsg by calling ST25DV_i2c_ReadMBCtrl_Dyn when App sends data to ST25DV.I can confirm I've enabled (ST25DV_GPO_RFPUTMSG_MASK | ST25DV_GPO_RFGETMSG_MASK | ST25DV_GPO_ENABLE_MASK) in GPO register, what other reason may cause this happen?2) By monitoring RFPutMsg in ST25DV_i2c_ReadMBCtrl_Dyn in the code, host MCU can easily receive 256 bytes, 512 bytes data from App, but when App sends more data let says 16000 bytes, it keeps intermittent, App keeps retry and host MCU cannot get correct data from ST25DV, is it related to questions 1?3) During testing, I keep monitoring every second on the RF field by calling ST25D

Hi, As I want to measure the energy efficiency on the NFC06A1 board. Could you provide the testing position of the VDD_RF pin on PCB board? And do you have a clear tutorial about your antenna auto-tuning system? The third problem is about AAT technologyAs you can see the pin of VDD_DR and VDD_RF in schematic.

I have been trying to use three pots as dials for a guitar effects pedal project. Their purpose is to simply read the voltage from 0 - 3.3V and with some scaling (to turn the raw readings into 0-100 values) in the code to store these 3 values inside an array of length 3 and also display them in my LCD. I have tried to use one pot per ADC (3 onboard) as well as different channels on the same ADC. The weird thing is that it works as intended for the first 2 pots but if I add the 3rd one with the same ADC configurations it simply won't read. The value stays oscillating as if the pin was free or grounded.I am using pins PA0, PA1, and PA2 for ADC1, ADC2, and ADC3 respectively. I am using 3.3V as the input for the pots. Please let me know if anything occurs to you or have had a similar issue in the past!Here is my current code main and ADC init configs (all 3 are the same)------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------int mai

I am running a STM32F466RE with no OS, using the STM32CubeIDE. Is there a code profiler, or some other way I can measure how many CPU clock cycles it takes for a certain section of code to execute? I am trying to compare different methods of processing ADC results and trying to find the fastest, or what are the speed hits by doing it one way versus another. Or if it makes a difference what order I execute my statements in. This should be standard stuff.

The datasheet for the STM32H745xI (doc DS12923 Rev 1) states in the notes to Figure 43 (p 191) that the value for R_ADC can be found in Table 96, but it is not given in Table 96. I also cannot find it elsewhere in the datasheet. Where can the value of R_ADC be found?

I am experiencing a vey long external interrupt latency up to 2 microseconds.Clock is internal PLL, 64MHz.void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin){   if (GPIO_Pin == TRIGGER_Pin)      {           __disable_irq();            LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(S2_GPIO_Port, S2_Pin);                      __enable_irq();      }}how can I speed it up, I need it to be <1 microsecondThanks

As per the question I'm trying to run a ILI9163c based display on the NUCLEO-F446RE. I'm using this library: (https://github.com/Spirit532/ILI9163C_STM32_HAL_DMA). My questions are:The library tells you to put DMA into circular mode. However, after every SPI transmit complete event it calls HAL_SPI_DMAStop. Isn't the entire point of putting it in circular mode to leave it running constantly. I thought it might be to avoid having to manually reload the DMA_SXNDTR register but won't calling HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA to start DMA back up again reload it anyway. The interrupt handler is as follows: void HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi) { SPI_DMA_CNT--; if(SPI_DMA_CNT == 0) { HAL_SPI_DMAStop(&hspi1); SPI_DMA_CNT = 1; SPI_DMA_FL = 1; } }Related to the previous question what is the point of the SPI_DMA_CNT variable. It isn't incremented or decremented anywhere else in the program. I'm not sure what it's suppose to do. I would like to use the F446RE at or close to it's m
