Hi,I'm trying to program a Connectionless Observer that scans all ADV_NONCONN_IND adv events, but the hci_le_advertising_report_event() callback isn't called. I'm using  BLE_STACK_FULL_CONF and I have this configuration:// Init GAPaci_gap_init(GAP_OBSERVER_ROLE, 0x00, 0x08, PUBLIC_ADDR, &service_handle, &dev_name_char_handle, &appearance_char_handle);// SCAN CONFIG status = aci_gap_set_scan_configuration ( DUPLICATE_FILTER_DISABLED,                 ADV_NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, LE_1M_PHY_BIT, PASSIVE_SCAN, 0x4000,               0x4000               );// EVENT MASKuint8_t eventMask[8] = {0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x00,0x02};status = hci_le_set_event_mask(eventMask);// SCAN ENABLEstatus = hci_le_set_scan_enable(1,0);I don't get any state error. What am I doing wrong?

Hi ST,We are currently adapting ST code into a Linux device driver and we have some issues with the Gen2 Select option: We are able to:Perform inventory rounds and list all the tags present in range of the antennaRead/Write EPC, TID and USER data when finding a tag and getting its handle during the inventory.Send a Select command to select only one tag by its EPC with startTagConnection function.After selecting the tag, we can call gen2AccessTag function and we are able to retrieve the tag handle 100% of time, but when trying to read data from memory banks just after that, we succeed only 5% of time (95% of time we get a ERR -33 (chip no response), or a ERR -35 (err chip preamble)).More details about the code:For each tag we want to select, we set the selParams global variable accordingly:selParams[0].mode = STUHFL_D_GEN2_SELECT_MODE_CLEAR_AND_ADD; selParams[0].target = STUHFL_D_GEN2_TARGET_SL; selParams[0].action = 0; selParams[0].memoryBank = STUHFL_D_GEN2_MEMORY_BANK_EPC; memcpy(sel

Hi,I want to program a connectionless observer to scan events, but the hci_le_advertising_report_event() callback isn't called. I have followed the steps of programming manual PM0269 for configure the modular configurations to work as Broadcaster + Observer only:Define BLE_STACK_CUSTOM_CONF in the preprocessor.Enable CONTROLLER_MASTER_ENABLED in custom_ble_stack_config.hSet in asci_gap_init() GAP_BROADCASTER_ROLE|GAP_OBSERVER_ROLE rolesMy enable scan with this configuration:aci_gap_set_scan_configuration ( DUPLICATE_FILTER_DISABLED,               ADV_NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, LE_1M_PHY_BIT,  PASSIVE_SCAN,  0x10,  0x10               );hci_le_set_scan_enable(1,0);I don't get any error, but the hci_le_advertising_report_event() isn't called. Supposedly, hci_le_set_event_mask( ) isn't necessary because the adv report event is enabled by default, but even calling this function, the call

STM32F301R8T6(Master)M95160-WMN6TP EEPROM(Slave)Low Level driversI've been trying to do a basic SPI EEPROM test based on the STM32F30x_DSP_StdPeriph_Lib_V1.2.3 SPI EEPROM example. Have finally gotten the write to work correctly but when we begin the read back from the EEPROM we see an extra three bytes of zeros in the receive buffer. The SPI bus analyzer shows the correct data coming out of the EEPROM chip so it seems that the RX FIFO still has data in it from the three read command bytes sent to the EEPROM(0x03, 0x00, 0x20, read command and address.) I've tried code examples from this site for flushing the RX FIFO but when running at full speed(i.e. not stopping in the debugger) there still is an extra three 0x00 getting into the receive buffer.When stepping in the debugger as we enter the flush function the SPI3->SR register shows a receive buffer not empty(RXNE) and a FIFO reception level(FRLVL) of 0x3(FIFO full.) After a single read of the SPI3->DR register the RXNE clears an

I am programming on the STM32L4R9I-EVAL dev board, but my project is configuredfor the STM32L4S9AII6. I am clocked at 120MHz.I have been fighting the following bug off and on for about 3 months. I queried for help on this a couple months ago and thought I had resolved the issue.https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00001PxcHZSAZ/can-you-have-too-many-peripheral-init-functionsI think I fix the issue and then it randomly pops back to ruin my day about every 2-4 days. The problem first manifest itself in my project as I was trying to get a one-shot timer configured. Since then I have observed enough to be 97% convinced that this is an interrupt configuration issue with MxCube, but as I debug the code and analyze the auto-generated code by MxCube everything seems correct.The cycle goes like this. I have to make some change to MxCube for various reasons like deleting a mutex or queue from FreeRTOS or adjusting settings with DMA or ADC interrupts. The ADC and DMA interrupts that I crawled

The DMAMUX1 can trigger DMA requests through synchronization and within the tab of synchronization possibilities there is TIM12_TRGO (input 7). So here is my question do the bits MMS[2:0] in register TIM12_CR2 configure this TRGO (it is written that it is for slave timers, for timer1 there is a separate MMS register for the ADC)?

Hello, I have a problem with programming EMMC through USB. Everything seems to be ok but when in U-Boot USB change from DFU to Gadget on Linux side everything stack (lsusb - stack). Of course, programming processes interrupt as well. I'm not sure where I should look for a malfunction. After the system boot-up USB gadget works normally I'm able to login to the board through USB. So from a hardware point of view, it seems to be correct or maybe not. When kernel boot-up and the system starts there is no switching activity on USB just load the Gadget driver and start USB and it works. I'm not sure how the switching process on USB in U-Boot works.   Part of my schematic is very simple So USB-C-ID is connected to PA13, with no connection to VBUS on the processor site. Maybe this VBUS is a problem or maybe the problem is in dts.   Please suggest to me something where I should start. Thanks

I want to send ADC data to the PC using BLE.The ADC data is directly connected to the DMA,So, sending DMA data is also fine.Is there any example or source code for it?I'm using the Nucleo-WB55 board.

I am using an STM32F429 Nucleo 144 and the Ethernet interface to run an Azure Iot client.Using STM32Cube IDE version 1.8.0NetxDuo versios 6.1.7Nx_SNTP_Client Sample projectI have combined this example with NetxDuo's sample_azure_iot_embedded_sdk_with_retry.c Once the IP address and SNTP server is connected (time is sync'd) I start the Azure client thread.My code is not able to successfully connect to the iOT hub. The call to mqtt_client_secure_connect() eventually returns the generic NXD_MQTT_CONNECT_FAILURE (i.e. 0x00010005 from file nxd_mqtt_client.h). The response code is generic and does not help with further debugging. Is there some additional logging or method to debug this. I have problems detecting a falling edge external interrupt. I can see with the tester the signal changes from 3.2v to 0v so its produced but the the interrupt is not generated. Could the 3.2v instead of 3.3v the problem?Signal is oscillating 3.19-3.20 all the time. Thanks

Sometimes an image tells more than a thousand words:As you can imagine, the dots shouldn't be shifted to the right as on my display (there is an offset on the x-axis)This is my very example template (lots of buttons to test my touch).I use the STM32F469 controller and my display is a ILI9881.When I use the same display with the STM32 Disco Techstar Board everything works fine.I have no reference where to look for my misrepresentation.I appreciate your helpCheers Jimmy

Hello,I have experience using Bluetooth classic profiles: SPP and A2DP.Started using STM32WB and I understand it doesn't support these two above profiles, it only has a stack for BLE. Is this correct?Can I use STM32WB with SPP and/or A2DP, if yes - how? if no - what profiles supported by the STM32WB do you recommend (to replace SPP and A2DP)?In addition, I've noticed ST has Bluetooth devices of series BlueNRG and SPBTLE: what is the difference between these two and the STM32WB?Do they support SPP and A2DPThanks,Jig

Hi ST,We bought a ST25RU3993-HEPV last year to evaluate the RFID chip and wanted to control it using SPI (You already helped us with that question and this one). The SPI master is a Cortex A15.We are currently adapting ST code into our newly created Linux Device driver. We tested the driver to read/write registers, the IRQ is working properly, and the selftests done by ST st25RU3993Initialize function are OK.However, when we try to read a tag using inventoryGen2 function in evalAPI_commands.c file, we can't manage to have more than -17dbm in output of the spectrum analyser. We can see that we are emitting at the good frequencies (Europe profile), but the output power with the internal power amplifier are nowhere near the experiments we did with a non modified EVAL board (-2db).Currently, here are the calls we do to initialize and run a scan:Note that spictx is just the context of the 25ru3993 device to be able to communicate with it by SPI./* Initialization */ initializeFrequencies();

CubeMX version 6.5.0 generates the following line in <project>/LWIP/target/ethernetif.h:static void ethernetif_input(void const * argument);Previous version 6.4.0 generated this:void ethernetif_input(void const * argument);The 'static' storage class specifier causes warnings in any module that includes "ethernetif.h". The function could be declared static, but this would best be done modifying the ethernetif.c file. In this manner, removing the declaration entirely from ethernetif.h would be possible, as it really is completely local to ethernetif.c.In any case, unnecessary warnings are not desirable. Follow-up:Modifying ethernetif_header.ftl (C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeMX\db\templates) fixes the issue. I am doing my bachelors degree and have a task to get two boards communicating using the CAN bus. I just got the boards and they pretty much said "have at it" without any prior knowledge. By now i know most of the really basic stuff about the CAN bus and SPC5Studio but I don't know where to start and what to read. The boards that I got are aek-mot-3p99081 (with the motor) and spc58ec-disp. I also downloaded all of the necessary stuff for the SPC5Studio such as AutoDevKit, MCTK etc. I underastand that i need two terminating resistors and then connect the boards?I am supposed to load the programs to the board and test them out seperately and then start testing the communication between them using the CAN bus. How can i do it and where to start? And might there be a really bored expert that can help a student out for some weird reason with a call or explanation. Thank you for reading :).

From AN Optimized RF board layout for STM32WL Series no recommandation are given for this frequency band.

I have to implement a lifetime counter with microseconds granularity using a STM32L432KC to control an AFBR-S50 sensor. The timer has to count "forever" and this board only has 1 32bit timer, so this timer is for the seconds, i think is the only way. So this timer could count several years. Problem is i also need microseconds.In the sensor documentation they chain 2 32bits counters, but i need three. one 16 bit for microseconds, one 16 bit for miliseconds and 1 32bits for the seconds. The prescaler for the first one is "SystemCoreClock / 1000000 -1" and the counter period is "1000", the second is chained to this, prescaler is 0 and counter period is also "1000". And the third is chained to the second, prescaler also 0 and counter period 0xffff.The first issue with this is i have done a test waiting for 5 minutes and comparing the result with mi cronograph and it has too much delay. The MCU has counter 36 seconds (in 5 minutes) more than the cronograph. How can be this possible?The sec

Hi,I am working on a ZigBee project for the STM32WB55 which requires to send commands to all neighbours in the network. I saw in zigbee.nwk.h that I can request the entries of NeighborTable. Where can I see the max dimension of this table?I found in zigbee.zdo.h this line:/* NOTE was 64, but end up allocating too much on the stack */ #define ZB_ZDO_NEIGHBOR_LIST_MAX_SZ 4UIs that the size that I'm loonking for? If so, considering its size (too small for what I need), is there a way to overcome this limit (or can I modify it)?

Hi everyone!I'm new here and wasn't sure where to post so I apologize if this is in the wrong area.I've attached a picture of a component I'm in need of, but can't find it anywhere online. Can you please help me identify it?It's on a fog machine that was bought new in 2017/2018.Thanks!

I need a strategy for doing CI/CD for our STM32 projects. Having done a little research, the logical path seems to be using a Docker container, as this approach seems to be widely supported.This could either be using a Docker image with all of STM32CubeIDE installed and doing a command line build, or figuring a way to export the project to a runnable make or cmake solution. The path of least resistance seems to be the STM32CubeIDE route, even though the container will be large.Has anyone out there got this working, and if so, how did you get there? I've tried pulling down a couple images with STM32CubeIDE, but am getting various errors trying actually run a headless build in Docker Desktop (on MacOS). It seems this would be a very useful thing for anyone doing serious work with the STM32CubeIDE!!

Im using a stm32f105RBT6 and i am in need a ton of softpwm pins.My solution (with the help of @Community member ) was to run 4 DMA channels triggered by 4 different timers addressing 4 different GPIO ports (in a circular mode).This worked like a charm untill now.Now i cannot use the external XTAL anymore, limiting the main clock down from 72Mhz to 36Mhz, this makes the softPWM of the DMA channel with the least priority to lack behind in frecuency.......  I dont know a lot yet about APB /AHB buses but :The DMA1 should be completelly clogging the buses Links of interest:Moving ISR functions to RAM using chibios in a STM32H743xIMoving the NVIC table to RAM to create a bootoader

I have TIM1 configured in one pulse mode triggered by rising edge on TIM1_CH1 to generate single pulse. Timer works correctly (generate single pulse for each rising edge on input). Datasheet claims that TIF flag is set on trigger event in all modes but gated mode. In gated mode flag is set when timer starts and also when stops. I am running timer in trigger mode but flag is rised when trigger event and also when timer stops. Like in gated mode. Looks like a bug. Has anyone observed this problem as well?

The four wire interface from the ST-LINK V2 has no clock.Where does it say that ST devices do not require a clock for SWD ?Also why is it seemingly impossible to work through a hub ? This makes life very difficult.
