What do the green (pharmacy) crosses in the GPIO pin popup mean?

Hello, I am new to ITC. I use a the TIM4 interrupt as a 10ms time base, using a callback function for the SPL interrupt handler INTERRUPT_HANDLER(TIM4_UPD_OVF_IRQHandler, 23).The callback transmits a UART2 packet to an external device and then waits for a UART2 response packet. The response is received using the UART2_IT_RXNE_OR interrupt and the callback for the SPL interrupt handler INTERRUPT_HANDLER(UART2_RX_IRQHandler, 21).The default interrupt priorities are used for all interrupts: Level 3 (lowest). The dev. environment is STVD and STM8 Cosmic compiler. See the below pseudo code.Problem:The while() loop in the TIM4 interrupt routine blocks the UART2_RX interrupt. Question:Is it good practice to wait for the UART2 IRQ in the TIM4 interrupt routine? Is a nested interrupt setup a good solution, and how to implement this on the STM8S MCU? Section 6.5.2 in the reference manual is brief. Thank you!Callback_for_TIM4_UPD_OVF_IRQHandler() { /* Disable the UART2_RX interrupt */ UART2->

Hello! For a week i've been trying to configure my stm32f302cbt6 and the tlv320aic3254 codec to trasmit data to the mcu through i2s_ext_sd but HAL_I2S_Receive returns 0s to the buffer although i see data coming out of the codec. I have configured i2s2 peripheral, master clock in the pinout config, i configured the codec analog input and clocks to generate sample rate and all clocks and bit depths i've checked with the osciloscope seem to be within spec. i ve also called HAL_I2S_MspInit(&hi2s2); in the MX_I2S2_Init(void) function to set the default pins and played around wth the different setting but no luck.Is there something obvious i am missing?Any ideas would be enlightening!Best RegardsPatsaoglou P.Project resources: https://github.com/patsaoglou/AudioWayDSP

I am controlling a DC motor, I want to synchronize it with another motor so I have to vary quickly the value of duty cycle, who can help me, I used the simple generation of pwm but it did not work

Hi all,I'm having a firmware issue with updating my MCU via UARTAfter reading AN2606 and AN3155, I try to do the following:Disable all interrupts and save a register with unique valueCall system resetJump to bootloader on the beginning of SystemInitUpdate the FW via USART1 (PA9, PA10) with baudrate 115200What I get is a fallback to baudrate 1200, which means baudrate auto detection failed.I have to mention that it works well in the same method I describe with USART3 (PB10, PB11) and it also works on USART1 (PA9, PA10) if I'm remove my code logic and jump to bootloader from the same place (SystemInit)I still couldn't figure it out and would appreciate if someone could help meThanks for your help

I want to change the path for where the STM32CubeIDE writes the source code files generated when the .ioc file changes. I am using STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.12.0.Is it possible, and if so, how?

In STM32WB55 the LSF must be 32KHz or it can be others like 42KHz etc. as well? Thanks.

I'm working on a project using an STM32H753 micro. The device has an LCD with touch screen. The touch screen logic has an interrupt output which triggers the micro to read the current coordinates when the display is touched. I'm using a GPIO pin configured as a GPIO_EXTIxx to receive the interrupt. I've had this working for some time now, but we just revised the board and the interrupt was moved to another GPIO pin. I changed the pin assignments in CubeMX and it worked fine. Another change in the revision is a new I2C part that also has an interrupt output. This was routed to another GPIO pin, however both interrupt lines were connected to port pins that end with in the same number. This appears to be a conflict (can't use the GPIO_EXTI function on two port pins with the same number). So I moved the interrupt line of the touch input to another port pin that ends with a difference number. Now my code will not interrupt when I touch the screen (I can see that the interrupt is occurring o

I working on a STM32L462 project, which needs to invoke the bootloader from the user program. I don't have access to the Boot0 pin. I came across two methods of doing the same but not sure which one should i employ for clean transition.Method 1: - Set the system memory address in a pointer and set the main stack pointer after which invoke the system memory address.Method 2: Hardware manual says about writing the option bytes of FLASH_OPTR register to ignore the boot pin ( setting nSWBOOT0 to 0) and setting the nBOOT0(0)and nBOOT1(1) option bytes. How this two methods are different and which one to employ for a clean transition?

I want to know maximun number of pairing device information can the STM32WB save.Is regard to device's flash capacity?

hello it's me againI am a beginner and I have a question about the RTC, what is it ? it is an alarm something on the stm32? thank you.

Hi,I'm implementing ADC on a STM32F469HI board (in particular LIZARD board from ACTRON).I alreay implemented SPI comunication and UART (this one with DMA).Now the focus is to get ADC Reading implemented with DMA also.i set the timer 8 to trigger the ADC.I get no error from initialization of the pheriperals.I created a one element array to feed to the ADC so every time this get writed i assumed the callback from the conversion complete treats the data and so on like this. The problem is i get no callback, i put a led to see if the callback gets executed.the init code is as follows:ADC initvoid SIN_ADC1_Init() {   /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 0 */   ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN ADC1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END ADC1_Init 1 */   /** Configure the global features of the ADC (Clock, Resolution, Data Alignment and number of conversion) */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = AD

in usb library in the file generated by STM32CubeMx for the STM32G0B1 * @file          : Target/usbd_conf.c * @version       : v3.0_Cube * @brief         : This file implements the board support package for the USB device libraryin function void HAL_PCD_ResetCallback(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd)line 205 you have the test  if (( hpcd->Init.speed != USB_DRD_SPEED_FS) ) || (hpcd->Init.speed != USB_DRD_SPEED_LS)) {   Error_Handler(); }this is obviously always true, and you always go to Error_HandlerI modified the test  if (( hpcd->Init.speed != USB_DRD_SPEED_FS) )) {   Error_Handler(); }now it's running.Please can you check your library and give me a better solution, I don't like to modify manufacturer library.

Is it possible to create a project in CubeMX for a concurrent BLE & Thread application for the STM32WB55?My attempts so far only allow for either a BLE or a Thread project (not both together). Thanks

I tried to flash Zephyr Firmware by DFU and I the firmware flashed as I expected.In the other hand, I tried flashing firmware by STLINK-V3MINI something raise an error.This is the contents of board.cmake file:# west flash -r openocd   # west flash -r dfu-util   board_runner_args(dfu-util "--pid=0483:df11" "--alt=0" "--dfuse")   board_runner_args(jlink "--device=STM32L4R9ZIJ6" "--speed=4000")   board_runner_args(pyocd "--target=STM32L4")   board_runner_args(stm32cubeprogrammer "--port=swd" "--reset-mode=hw")   include(${ZEPHYR_BASE}/boards/common/jlink.board.cmake)   include(${ZEPHYR_BASE}/boards/common/openocd.board.cmake)   include(${ZEPHYR_BASE}/boards/common/pyocd.board.cmake)   include(${ZEPHYR_BASE}/boards/common/dfu-util.board.cmake)Also, this is the contents of openocd.cfg file:# source [find interface/stlink.cfg]   source [find interface/stlink-dap.cfg]   set WORKAREASIZE 0x8000   # transport select hla_swd   # Tr

When I create a new project using STM32CubeMX with my board (NUCLEO-WL55JC1), neither defines for PIN labels will be generated in main.h nor is there a BSP folder in the Drivers folder with a xxxnucleo.h containing definitions as I have seen in the examples.   I have tried with another board configuration (NUCLEO-C031C6) where label defines were populated in main.h as expected....

I use an array, for example, peakindex[6]. The biulder shows no errors. When debugging and looking for the values in the Expressions window the following error messages occur:Multiple errors reported.1) Failed to execute MI command:-var-create - * peakindexError message from debugger back end:-var-create: unable to create variable object2) Unable to create variable object3) Failed to execute MI command:-data-evaluate-expression peakindexError message from debugger back end:No symbol "peakindex" in current context.4) Failed to execute MI command:-var-create - * peakindexError message from debugger back end:-var-create: unable to create variable objectI appreciate any help.RegardsUlrich

I bought the STM32U5A9J-DK board. I want to start digging it out by modifying the default OOB example code. But I can't find the OOB code even the binary. It would be appreciated if to provide the OOB code or binary.

Currently in our app, we are able to read 64 EEPROM memory from ST25DV64k using extendedReadMultipleBlocks command. But we would need to know the procedure to read the Mailbox memory of 256 bytes to get the active data from NFC Mailbox memory. Could you please help with the commands for the same and also if you can show us an iOS example code for the same it will be very helpful?

I have been using STM32CubeIDE for the last couple of years. Recently after getting a low space warning in C drive found that  STM32CubeIDE is taking over 32GB of space in C drive. There I found that some libraries are there with previous versions. Also their zip formats. My question is, is there any problem if I remove the older versions there? Or is there any way to clean older files that are not necessary?

Hi,I'm using Nucleo-l476RG and try to get an Interrupt with RTC accuarcy every second. My plan is to use the RTC WakeUp in Internal WakeUp mode with "RTC wake-up interrupt through EXTI line 20"However the problem is that the interrupt is fireing only once and then the WUTF in the RTC_ISR cannot be reset.I'm using the cubemx generated code and implement the interrupt with the following code:void HAL_RTCEx_WakeUpTimerEventCallback(RTC_HandleTypeDef *hrtc) { HAL_Delay(1); }and activate the time with the following:HAL_RTCEx_SetWakeUpTimer_IT(&hrtc, 10, RTC_WAKEUPCLOCK_CK_SPRE_16BITS);What am I missing?Regards

I am attempting to configure the UART2 peripheral of the STM8S105C4 MCU with an even parity control using this development environment: ST Visual Develop, ST Visual Programmer, STM8 Cosmic compiler, Library: STM8 Standard Peripheral Library (SPL).Problem: No parity bit generated, as shown by the Logic8 logic analyzer. See the below screenshot: the parity bit is configured but is missing in the signal. Question: why is the Parity Control not working? The following SPL function UART_Config() should configure one even parity bit per byte.Thank you!static void UART_Config(void) { /* UART2 configured as follow: - BaudRate = 38400 - Word Length = 8 Bits - Two Stop Bit - One parity bit (even) - Receive and transmit enabled */ UART2_DeInit(); UART2_Init((uint32_t) 38400, UART2_WORDLENGTH_8D, UART2_STOPBITS_2, UART2_PARITY_EVEN, UART2_SYNCMODE_CLOCK_DISABLE, UART2_MODE_TXRX_ENABLE);   /* UART2: Disable the Receive interrupt: */ /* RXNE - Received data ready to be read */ /* O

Hi I'm trying to write text via NDEF library to be available to read from EEPROM by phone nfc aplication. Also I want to read text send by phone directly to EEPROM. I tried to change NDEF_URI example method to implement NDEF_WriteText and NDEF_ReadText method and write some text into ST25DV EEPROM and read from but honestly I have no idea what's wrong with my conception. Could you show me some code where you are using these methods?

Hello dear friends,It's been a week since I worked on the CAN transceiver and couldn't make it work. I have set up the chip rcc, bit rate, and receive interrupt of CAN, set the receive filter, and the receiver id in transmission, with no success. I have used only a single board and connected Tx to Rx (PB8 PB9) through a jumper. I have checked that there is some signal on the Tx line with a voltmeter(Sadly I have no oscilloscope now to check the absolute signals.)What I am looking for is that I can get the receive interrupt.I am not going to use the software loop-back mood since I'm not going to use simulation. The code is attached. Help me what had make it not
