Hello *,I'm currently trying to use a micro-sd card breakout board on my Nucleo-H743ZI to store some data using the SDMMC interface and the FatFS middleware v0.12c (The breakout board is just here for the pull-up resistors on the lines).I've setup the SDMMC1 interface without any IT or DMA, and a clock running at 25 MHz from a PLL divider. So my problem is that, during the Init phase (1-bit SD mode running at 400KHz max) the "basic" commands that receive a response on the CMD line are fine, but as soon as I run an ACMD (CMD55 followed by CMD13 is my first problem), the R1 response is read, but then the data that is supposed to be read is never read in the FIFO, thus blocking the polling loop.I've seen on the scope that the command, R1 response and D0 line have content on them and that the CLK line is less than 400KHz (but close enough).I've checked the DPSM with a breakpoint just after the ACMD13 is sent, and the registers indicate that the state machine is not in Idle, so I guess it sh

Hello. I'm trying to make a code to show some menús (configuration and user menús) in a LCD screen, but something goes wrong when I try to write the year, and read it later, from the RTC calendar registers.My main code begins with the cube MX function that sets a initial value to all the RTC calendar fields:sTime.Hours = 0x09; sTime.Minutes = 0x30; sTime.Seconds = 0x00; sTime.DayLightSaving = RTC_DAYLIGHTSAVING_NONE; sTime.StoreOperation = RTC_STOREOPERATION_RESET; if (HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &sTime, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } sDate.WeekDay = RTC_WEEKDAY_FRIDAY; sDate.Month = RTC_MONTH_MARCH; sDate.Date = 0x31; sDate.Year = 0x23;   if (HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc, &sDate, RTC_FORMAT_BCD) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }Later, I can configure the time and date, using some enums to do it more human, in the exit section of a configuration menú:if (new_exit == 1) { date_final.Date = day_enum; date_final.Month = month_enum; date_final.Ye

I am trying to achieve hard real-time under 100us on the STM32MP157f-eval, specifically, on the Cortex A7 dual core.Note: I specifically target the Cortex A7 cores because the M4 is already taken for other tasks which requires much smaller latency. What I did so far is:Build the Yocto openst-linuxAdd Preempt-RT patchAdded several software: irqbalance, tuna, hiccups... to monitor and tune the system.Isolate one coreTested high-priority process, also IRQ. Tested with internal clock and external oscilloscope.Tried to disable most driversAfter all those efforts, the jitter did not improved, and I still get >1ms jitter when applying load for enough time.------------------------------My next step is to ensure that the cpu frequency is not throttled. I read https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_change_the_CPU_frequency but it's not yet clear to me how to check and set this. Also, most general questions found on internet don't seem to apply to this architecture. How to check that cpu freque

Hello, i want to measure the power consumption of STM32F767zi only MCU Part using X-NUCLEO-LPM01A. The step of manual says to "open the SB110" by default SB110 is ON what are the ways to make it open ? can we do it through wires or some jumpers?

This was reported for older CubeIDE version and now reproes in v 1.12.When the selected builder is "internal", the build runs normally, but .bin and .list files are not created (the checkboxes are enabled and selected), the size info is not printed. However, the user post-build command is executed normally.Workaround: .bin, list and size can be created in user port-build script.Would be nice to fix it - I prefer the internal builder because it does not drop a lot of junk useless artifacts.

Moving from a audio effect prototype based on the STM32F407 to the STM32H757. Did a lot of stuff on the F4 with audio but on the H7 I'm getting stuck and can't get a simple audio loopback with DMA. I'm using Cirrus Logic's CS5343 and CS4344 as external ADC/DAC connected to the I2S interface. I2S data frames are read and written in memory with DMA configured in circular RX/TX mode.Without DMA, audio loopback is OK. However, with DMA, the RX buffer isn't filled. The half complete and complete callbacks are triggered tho.I'm aware that DMA can't access DTCM RAM and that with cache enabled, data coherency should be taken care of thanks to the MPU configuration and modification of the linker script :MPU creates a region of 128kB device memory type (TEX : 0b000, not cacheable, bufferable, shareable)RX and TX buffers (8kB each) subsections have been placed at 0x30010000 and 0x30012000 (SRAM1 in D2) in the linker script.I tried to move the buffers in other RAM domains, make the MPU Region as s

I have a specific application where I need to detect the presence (or absence) of a ISO15683 tag at a range of about 10 cm using a Molex 146236-2102 NFC Antenna. Is there an appropriate STMicro product?

Hi In my MX setup, using STM32G070CB, I tried to allocate PB11 as ADC_IN15 and PB12 as ADC_IN16. Funny enough, the PB11 & PB12 pins are changed in yellow colours, While PB10 as ADC_IN11 bears no problem with the normal green colour allocated.Hovering both PB11 and PB12 pins gives information about ADC1_IN15 (no mode) and ADC1_IN16 (no mode) while at PB10 pin, it is ADC1_IN11 (IN11).The same applies to STM32G071RB and the like.Any one has any idea what is that all about? Is it a Mx bug or what?RgdsCalvin

I have a project running on an STM32H743IIK6. The program periodically tries to write to the last page of FLASH and the HAL fails fairly often. The failure is in the start of HAL_FLASHEx_Erase where it calls FLASH_WaitForLastOperation before beginning the erase operation. The FLASH_WaitForLastOperation fails because it detects either RDSERR2, or RDPERR2 errors in SR2 even though all security and protection settings are disabled. In order to debug I enabled the FLASH_IRQHandler and enabled interrupts on RDSERR1, RDPERR1, RDSERR2 and RDPERR2. This interrupt is firing every few minutes, and the processor was just running some instructions out of the first flash bank. The instructions are usually just some FreeRTOS task switcher code, but it can be random.Originally we thought it was related to running the CPU at 480MHz and possibly overheating; but we dropped to 400MHz and the problem has been observed on a virgin processor within 90 seconds of running while the CPU is still quite cold.Pro

I know I could take a meter and simply check but I don't have any spare parts easily accessible to make this quick measurement.

We;re looking at using SFI as part of the manufacturing for a product based on STM32U5. One of the concerns we have is that STM32TrustedPackageCreator only supports a bare (not big-iron HSM) protected. One of the simplest ways for us to accomplish this is to used TPC to create the package using a well-known key and IV, and then decrypt the SFI package and re-encrypt it using a purpose built tool that uses PKCS11 to talk to an HSM for the encryption.Figure 2 of UM2238 plus some of the text provided me with a starting place, and I was able to parse the general format of an SFI. I did find that the area header also includes a 16 byte left truncated hash of the plain text being encrypted - and that's not mentioned in figure 2.I was able to "decrypt" and verify the file header, but I'm running into trouble doing the same with each of the body parts/areas.I *have* confirmed I'm using the right nonce. The text says "nonce plus area number", but that actually means to treat bytes 8:11 of the n

At first, I'm an absolute beginner, I'm still on my way to learn more about STM family regarding electronics.Lately I've been having circuit issues with PL2303. After reading datasheet, number 6.2,5V can also be used as input power suppliesI've connected my PL2303's 5V to STM32's 5V but after a while, my STM32 had some damage and it close-circuited 5V and GND. Same thing happened after I had my new STM32 and connecting the PL2303's 5V to STM32's VDD.I'm dead sure about the cabling and soldering and there's nothing wrong with it.I'd be so appreciated to hear some ideas about it.Thanks!

Hi I am working on SPC574S64 Controller, A20MHz Crystal is used in our boardI tried to configure it in the SPC5StudioI tried using one of the example code for the configuration where a 40MHz is used in the configuration and I tried to change to 20MHz, but could not succeedI tried modifying the dependent registers, but still nothing worked out.It is showing an error as belowI could see the ranges are as below for themI tried changing the PLL0 Settings but nothing gave me the positive resultCould you kindly suggest settings for a 20MHz crystal

We are working with ST25RU3993 eval board and controlling it from linux based STUHFL C code base.Could you please suggest best config for reading weakest tags with ST25RU3993 using C code base.

I just got started with a dual core STM32H745. I put together a quick project with CubeMX to test some FDCAN interfaces. I built the program and ran it.I'm using Keil ARM MDK. After building, and connecting it appears to connect to the CM7 (which is fine, because that's what I wanted anyway) - but I don't get far after that. There is some code to wait for CPU2 (CM4) for boot: /* Wait until CPU2 boots and enters in stop mode or timeout*/ timeout = 0xFFFF; while((__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_D2CKRDY) != RESET) && (timeout-- > 0)); if ( timeout < 0 ) { Error_Handler(); }This never completes. I'm not really sure what to do with this.

Hi all.   I tried to communicate(private) with my I3C slave device using STM32H503RB board. To communicate with my device, I need to specify register address to write/read data. i.e. Frame = (Start with Slave ID w/ W=0) + (register address w/ W=0) + (data to be written) Is there any I3C HAL Functions like "I2C_Mem_Write"? What I only found is "HAL_I3C_Ctrl_Transmit" which use default address pointer. If there is no HAL Function doing that. I want to know the work around for this.   thank you

Good afternoon.I am using BluePill STM32F103C8T6 board.I wanted to connect an SD card to it and use it as Mass StorageAll examples use the SDIO interface for connection. But I don't have this item in CubeMX. How can I mount an SD card

I'm trying to configure the LTDC pheriferal manually but I can't find a schematic of table that tell wich pin of the STMF7 is connectet to a specific pin of the LCD screen. I looked on the STM32F746-DISCO user guide, but I don't find it.

Currently I am using STM32 Nucleo-L152RE , so i want eagle schematic file for that also to take reference for my pcb hope you will help me

Hello,I am using the TouchGFX GUI on my custom board, which I have fully working now. We want to add a nicer visual display of our battery's SOC. We want a black background with a blue line that traces a hexagonal visual that changes based on the battery state of charge. The higher the state of charge, the further that the blue line "progresses." See below for a visual example. I can create a black box and make the text look similar to that with the right font, but I am unsure how to create those light blue lines dynamically via TouchGFX. Does anyone have any guidance on how to do this?

I thought I could send custom commands to the ST25DV Tag by using the NFC Tap app. Is that possible? In the app there are two fields when I chose "Custom":1) Custom Command. There I enter "AC", to Read Message (mailbox).2) Data: what to enter here? Can someone explain how to use it? I send some bytes to the mailbox by i2C and now I want to use the app (NFC Tap) to read these bytes.Navigation inside the app: "NFC Tap" -> "CoreNFC" -> "Custom"

I have STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0 and I want to enable dual-bank flash memory on my F7 microcontroller (which supports this configuration) via the option bytes. However, there is no such option byte available to enable dual-bank mode. How should I enable dual-bank mode if the option byte isn't available?

Steps to reproduce:generate project in TouchGFXopen in IDE, it compilesopen IOC, enable interrupt for uart1, save, accept the code generation (it asks about migrating code, not sure why, I have latest versions IDE 1.12.0 and GFX 4.21.3, I chose to migrate)try to compile -> compilation errorsThe first set of errors is easy to fix, they are related to the following lines dissapearing from freertos.cvolatile uint8_t TouchINT_irq = 0;extern volatile uint8_t TouchINT;int32_t X_touch;int32_t Y_touch;these lines were not in the "user code" sections and got cleared after code was generated by IDE.If I restore those lines, there is a bunch of other errors starting with quadspi.c:53:33: error: 'QSPI_Flash_Transfer_Mode' undeclaredI can see (thanks to GIT client) that quadspi.c "suffered" a lot of changes and one of them was removal of that constant.I am using Riverdi 70STM32H7
