Hi... we are deciding if has a sense to develop a electronic board able to host to different mcus (STF4 and STH5) and giving an external hw trigger the unique fw should be able to run the part relevant to F4 series or H5 series. The question is how much they have in common as memory map, peripherals , clock.. drivers Does it make sense to try to make an unique stm project or it is better to make 2 distint projects sharing for example the logic and the libraries ? I am open to your consideration.. Thanks

Hi,I working with STM32L433's ADC, and I'm having a problem where the ADC CH11 couldn't coexist with other GPIOs. I'm using a resistor divider from a battery and feeding into ADC1 CH11 (PA6, pin16). If the PA5 is left in a reset state, it all works. However, if I configure PA5 as an output, it seems to change PA6 as well. The voltage level no longer holds at the divided value, it becomes the PA5's level instead.I nail down to single command that causes this, which is setting the output mode of PA5. (changes 0x48000000 from default state to output). I think I probably do something wrong, any suggestions? Thanks, here is my IOC configuration

I'm trying to create a very simple baseline project for an STM32L552CCTx MCU: FDCAN1, USB (device), SWD and a LED. No HSE / LSE clocks present. The 'Clock Configuration' tab works well and a proper clock is found, but in the 'RCC' configuration the project is stuck. "MSI Auto Calibration" shows as "enabled" and with an error indicator. The dropdown only shows a greyed out "enabled" option, so no way to change it.If I disable the USB support the option becomes "disabled", but the RCC still shows an error icon (but no longer at a specific parameter).I'm using STM32L5 MCU Package v1.3.1In an unrelated (?) issue it seems not possible to generate code with a Makefile for this MCU?

Hi,I have migrated from STM32L4S5ZI --> STM32U575ZIT6 for one of our custom designed board.I am trying to configure 96MHz HCLK using Clock configuration in my *.ioc file and just toggle LEDs with a delay of 1 sec with the generated code & this logic. My observations are as follows:Board Works (LED toggles perfectly every second) with HSI 16 MHz.Board works with HSE 48MHZ external oscillator without involving PLL. But I need to change the voltage level to 4 as shown in image attached.Board does not work with 48MHz MSISBoard does not work with 96MHz PLLCLK with input as HSE clockBoard does not work with 96MHz PLLCLK with input as HSI clockfor all these cases images are attached. I have also attached my schematics and relevant code snippet and also the project workspace.Upon survey I found that such issues comes when VDDA & VSSA are not connected / decoupled. Upon probing my board I confirmed both VDDA & VSSA are perfect 3.3V & GND respectively. Please suggest possible s

I wish this thread could be a community documentaiton to analyze and understand LwIP RAW echoclient example provided in firmware packages. It would be nice to open new threads for each example.First question regarding this example: in tcp_echoclient_recv why the code tries to send remaining data if remote socket was detected as closed? It makes no sense to me. Any clue? /* if we receive an empty tcp frame from server => close connection */ if (p == NULL) {  /* remote host closed connection */  es->state = ES_CLOSING;  if(es->p_tx == NULL)  {    /* we're done sending, close connection */    tcp_echoclient_connection_close(tpcb, es);  }  else  {   /* send remaining data*/   tcp_echoclient_send(tpcb, es);  }  ret_err = ERR_OK; }Thanks

I have board with STM32F4 Microcontrollers. I am using USART and STM Bootloader in order to flash one of these chips. Is there anywhere recommended procedure to go for?

Hi, i have a custom board with STM32H750 with qspi flash and want to debug with j-link debugger. Before i used it with st-link and my custom flashloader while debugging. Now i want to write open loader for my project but i didn't see any settings how to add this loader to STM32CubeIDE. For example, when i select st-link in debug configurations i can select and load my custom external loader under misc section.

i have stm32h750vbt6 and i want applied with TFT screen http://www.lcdwiki.com/4.0inch_SPI_Module_ST7796in test demo is work then i don't know can use with TouchGFX or not

Hi sir, I am working with I2C in x-nucleo-nfc07a1 where ST25DV IC incorporated interfaced with Nucleo-WB55 board, what is the slave address(device address) for this?I am firmware engineer, I have I2C Scanning program wherePreviously, I work with Temp sensor, the scanning code gives me slave address as 0x4a,I also work the following,Heart rate sensor in which it is 0x57PN532 NFC reader in which it shows 0x24And right now I work with X-Nucleo-NFC07A1 in which ST25DV64KC is incorporated, here the scanning code shows none. I want to know, why it is not? and how to deal with i2c communication to store data in EEPROM? HAL_I2c functions deals with 5 parameters, DevAddr, TargetAddr, No.of.Bytes req, delay, out of which DevAddr what we can use?

Hello We have built a custom board using the st25dv04k and are having trouble understanding how to use it. The device communication is using i2c and the started address we are always using is 0.The functions we are using are simple read and write functions:static inline int i2c_write(const struct device *dev, const uint8_t *buf, uint32_t num_bytes, uint16_t addr)Write a set amount of data to an I2C device. This routine writes a set amount of data synchronously.Parameters:dev – Pointer to the device structure for an I2C controller driver configured in controller mode.buf – Memory pool from which the data is transferred.num_bytes – Number of bytes to write.addr – Address to the target I2C device for writing.Return values:0 If successful.-EIO General input / output error.static inline int i2c_read(const struct device *dev, uint8_t *buf, uint32_t num_bytes, uint16_t addr)Read a set amount of data from an I2C device. This routine reads a set amount of data sync

I'm trying to use the new example available on st.com for VL53L3CX_SimpleRanging (available inside X-CUBE-TOF1) is an example application shows how to make ranging with a satellite board (VL53L3CX-SATEL green) connected directly to STM32F401RE without the X-NUCLEO-53LA3 expansion board. I'm using the attached connections to STM32F401RE ,Using either VL53L3CX_SimpleRanging.bin or to import the project into STM32CUBE I recieve the same error ("CUSTOM_RANGING_SENSOR_Init failed")By tracing the error ,I found it comes from the following function:static void MX_VL53L3CX_SimpleRanging_Init(void){ /* Initialize Virtual COM Port */ BSP_COM_Init(COM1); printf("VL53L3CX Simple Ranging demo application\n"); status = CUSTOM_RANGING_SENSOR_Init(CUSTOM_VL53L3CX); if (status) { printf("CUSTOM_RANGING_SENSOR_Init failed\n"); while(1); }}Please help!

Hi all, I need to flash SBSFU to STM32F769I - Disco via JTAG. While I try to connect to the board via JTAG, the following error shows up.Do I have wrong configuration settings or is there any other problem?

Hello all,I'm using the HAL library for the camera, specifically I'm using the function: HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(DCMI_HandleTypeDef *hdcmi, uint32_t DCMI_Mode, uint32_t pData, uint32_t Length)In the function are many return HAL_ERROR, and one HAL_OK. When the function works fine It return a 0, but when I have an error it return 2.Why It retuns 2 if the HAL_ERROR is defined as 1 when I have an error.

I'm completely lost in ADC working modes. And it happens EACH time I start a new project with internal ADC. So it ends up taking a lot of time to get the ADC do what I want.I need the following behaviour: 2 channels of single adc runs forever.By my requests I collect N last saved conversions for each channel.Again for example, I press the button and collect last 16 conversions for both channels.Intervals for that conversions are defined by timer or it would be fine if they are running at whatever rate.I guess it's free-running-scan-continious-forever modeIf someone can help with settings in CubeMX and code to set this up it would be great!

Hi! I am trying to implement a composite device (two VCPs) on my stm3f4 board, as I need to transmit data simultaneously to the pc. I see that I have enough endpoints to do so but have no idea where to start from. Do you have any clear examples please? The ones I found online where not clear enough for me :grinning_face_with_sweat: Thank you!

hiI am working on a project using stm32mp157fad.For the project created using stm32cubemx and stm32cubeide, I created a custom image by referring to the site below and uploaded it to the sd card using the dd command. But openstlinux is not booting up so I want to check if there is a problem with the schematic.1.Create an OpenSTLinux imagehttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine2.dd commandhttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_populate_the_SD_card_with_dd_commandFirst of all, I would appreciate it if you could tell me if the circuit diagram is written correctly.1.power circuit diagram2.SD Card Used Pin Second, I would like to know if the Boot-related program is entered in the ROM when the STM32MP1 series is shipped from the factory.thank you

1. The HRTIM FAULT function can only be triggered once, and reset by software after triggering. So is there any use of hardware periodic triggering (that is, reset immediately after triggering, similar to TripZone in C2000)? I want to use it as a cycle-by-cycle protection function.2. CUBEMX enables Blanking by default when initializing HRTIM. I think it will cause misunderstanding?

Hey, Can you please help me with using ST25DV64KC board. With stm32L476VGT6 core M4 processor.I want to do NFC communication. I couldn't find anything on the internet or youtube about how to program it.Somewhere, i read that we have to download the firmware for our board. And it contains the source code..I downloaded the firmware for my Board from the ST community website. But when I run it it gives me errors. I am trying to resolve these erros from two to three days. But they are not completely removed. The software I am using is STM32 Cube IDE. I want to ask the following questions:1) Is the firmware code the only way to do NFC Communication? And am I doing something wrong?2) The IDE that I am using is Stm32 Cube IDE. Does the firmware code supports this? Or it is written for Keil?3) Do the package contains file that should be removed in order to run it in Stm32 Cube ide.I will be grateful if you can help me with my questions. Thank you very much.Best Regards.

I see there is a named EH ST25 software code, so I want to to STM32L476 through NFC let ST25 stable power supply, and make the MCU operating normally, this scheme is feasible?

I want to read the sensor signal with NDEF_WriteText function，How do you read a temperature signal instead of a temperature text?NDEF_WriteText funtion is printf funtion，so what should I do to read signal？

Hello,We have an STM32 project with SBSFU bootloader used for firmware updates. We have a pipeline that is triggered from GitLab that will compile and sign the firmware and update pakcage. Before taking production private keys into use, we are considering strategies for secure storage of the keys while still trying to keep things as simple and automated as possible. One option would be to add a manual step to the pipeline where update packages are signed and encrypted in an offline computer. Other option would be to store private keys only in RAM of the machine running the pipeline which would minimize risk of leaking the keys. This would have the benefit of keeping everything automated. The problem is that I haven't figured out a way of supplying the key to the prepareimage.py script from a variable stored in RAM, it seems to require a file. Is there any way of achieving this?Is there a way of integrating a HSM (hardware security model) to the SBSFU process? Thanks!
