I had a passing thought. I have two pins that I can connect to a PC in my enclosure. I'd like to use USB OR USART. I'd like the PC to select. My idea was to tie the pins together and let the bootloader's selection process pick the correct one on the correct start signal (USB seems to be cable detected, and USART seems to be receives 0x7F.I'd need to test it, but something like this possible where using USB -OR- UART on my mating device or PC would allow the bootloader to select the correct one (in which case it shuts the other one off and proceeds setting up and the rest of the process). I can't tell if there is anything to this idea, and if there is, if this is backwards. I assume "CABLE DETECT" on USB means D+ high and D- low. So in that case, I would probably want USART TX to be tied to D+, because TX is high-Z until a valid RX is received right? In that case, I could manipulate UART RX / D- all I like and the bootloader shouldn't detect this as USB cable / data.Is there anythin

Hi, I'm using an STM32L4P5ZG microcontroller, trying to do a bootloader program. Entering into bootloader mode, exit after a fraction of a second and jump to the main loop. Not staying in the bootloader mode. I tried enabling through software to PH3 pin as pull-high state as well tried the last option by making nBoot1 =1, nBoot0& nSWBoot0=0. Both returned same, not staying in bootloader mode. Whenever I do manually PH3 boot0 pin as pull-high, entering into bootloader mode.  Code: HAL_StatusTypeDef SystemBootloaderJump(void){  typedef void (*pFunction)(void);   FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef OBInit;   uint32_t  JumpAddress = SYS_BOOTLOADER_ADDR;  // This will be aliased to 0x00000000  pFunction JumpToSystemBoot = (void (*)(void))(JumpAddress);   // Delete the signature bin file  strcat(path, "CFC.bin");  f_unlink (path);   // Alias the system memory from the boot memory space starting @0x1FFF0000

the below code is not working for me //HAL_TIM_PWM_Start(&htim15,TIM_CHANNEL_1);HAL_TIMEx_PWMN_Start(&htim15,TIM_CHANNEL_1);

I configured the EXTIs for 16 inputs from PD0 to PD15, rising and falling edge, IRQ1 for PD0, IRQ2 por PD1, and so on as must be for groups 5-9 and 10-15 IRQ Handler. I debug the program with a breakpoint in each EXTI_IRQ_HANDLER and all of them are activated when I press a button. I found the behavior of the callback because of this but I do not know the cause.

Hi all,I'm working on STM32WLE5JC, I've develop very simple bootloader starting at flash memory at 0x08000000 for 20K. My booloader is simple just blink a user led and jump to the firmware.Right now I'd like to have the possibility to jump to the bootloader from my appplication, I've read this very usefull article I've understand what I have to do, instead of jump to 0x1FFF000 jump to 0x0800000 (my flash memory where my own bootloader is saved). But my question is, is it possible when I jump to the booloader from my application to set a variable somewhere and have access to it from my bootloader ? Maybe use RAM, because if I jump to booloader from application, my board will always power up so RAM content will be present, am I right ?

I'm using STEVAL-STWINKT1 (MCU STM32L4R9ZIJ6) and I'm trying to communicate with the motion sensors (ISM330DHCX, IIS3DWB, IIS2DH) by SPI3 interface (polling). I wrote a code very similar to that one present in the "Serial_DataLog" project, using HALs (I'm using STM32CubeIDE and STM32CubeMX generated code). I'm trying to get the WHO_AM_I value from register address 0x0F, but my code gives me cyclically a wrong value every time I call this function.Here it is my code:- in main.cstatic void MX_SPI3_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI3_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END SPI3_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI3_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END SPI3_Init 1 */ /* SPI3 parameter configuration*/ hspi3.Instance = SPI3; hspi3.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi3.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi3.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi3.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_HIGH; hspi3.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_2EDGE; hspi3.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi3.Init.BaudRatePr

I am successfully running with four FSMs and the SFLP as well as many of the embedded functions like tilt detect and activity/inactivity detect. For the latter, I have tested using SLPMODE3 where the accel is placed in LP1 mode at 1.875 Hz and the gyro is powered down.  What happens to the FSM and SFLP when the gyro is powered down (at least one of the FSM require gyro data) or the accel ODR is well below the specified SFLP ODR (15 Hz) or FSM ODRs (30 Hz)?I find that the program works as expected. That is, I see interrupts for the FSM programs and I see quaternion data from the SFLP when active. When inactive I do not, as expected. And then again, when activity resume, I see the expected behavior (SFLP quaternions and FSM interrupts). So do I not have to explicitly de-activate the FSM programs or SFLP? Is this handled automagically somehow?I ask partly because I see 14.75 uA power usage when inactive, all of which is accounted for such that I have to surmise and infer that the SFL

Hi,I have implemented a NFC sniffer for Flipper Zero (with ST25R3916), and I found wrong information in the datasheet regarding the default values of the chip registers (all of them in Space A): Register 0x0c defaults to 0x2d rather than 0x2c as indicated in the datasheet, 0x0f is 0x0c rather than 0x08, 0x29 is 0x60 rather than 0x70, and 0x29 is 0x22 rather than 0x33.This is no problem for my application (3916 is great for sniffing, even without resorting to the Transparent Mode, which is impractical due to Flipper Zero's hardware limitations), but the datasheet should probably be fixed as other developers might be relying on what it says.

Hi, I need NUCLEO-WBA52CG boards schematics and Bill of materials. So it will be useful for me to replicate/use/create circuits as far my concern.

Hi all,Our product uses an STM32MP153 processor, booting its first and second stage bootloaders (TF-A and uboot respectively) from QUADSPI NOR FLASH. It boots Linux from eMMC. The NOR FLASH we have been using are either IS25LP016D-JNLE or AT25SF161B-SSHB-B which are both 16Mbit.We are experimenting with using a larger 32Mb NOR FLASH due to customer request. We have built a batch of PCBAs with IS25LP032D-JNLE instead of the IS25LP016D.However on 4 out of 12 boards, we see the below:- Programming works ok, all stages are flashed onto the respective parts. stm32 cube programmer reports success- When rebooted after programming, the MP1 still boots in DFU mode.- Checked BOOT mode pins and they are set to 001, not 000, so its not the boot mode.- NORFLASH chip has been written to and read back correctly and program has been verified, so there is no data corruption- Re-ran stm32 cube programmer several times, and MP1 always reboots in DFU mode- We suspect that there is a timing

Hi currently I am implementing a smart battery charger using stm32 & ltc4015.But i could not understand how to perfectly configure ltc4015 through i2c protocol. So could you please inform me how to write the i2c sequences to safely charge the battery. Thanks & RegardsSatyabrata Senapati

STM32H5x3 / VQFN68 packageHas USART3 but AN2606 lists using PD8/PD9 that this package does not have.AN2606 has a lot of remapping mentions for specific packages. Is this one of them, or does USART3 and bootloader not work for this package?

Hi,Where can I download the bsdl file for STM32G031?  Thanks.Regards,Benedict

Based on the issue that you met with SPC58NH92, so could you support us how to recover the  SPC58EC80E5 ‘Destructive’ Reset Escalation ?I had a issue with Trace32 (Not related to JTAG) can not reach the chip with Status "SystemDown-Reset".

I am going to order a NUCLEO-WB55RG kit but I can not find user manual under https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/nucleo-wb55rg.html#documentationAnd I also want to know is there an USB dongle come with this board? Thanks!

Hello All,I was trying the basic Led pin example that is on you tube  and tried to replicate the same thing in STM32 747 board. I was able to successfully start the debug for CM7 core. I get Download verified successfully. The speed of screen transition is too fast, I want to slow it. How should I do?

i'm trying to read the G030 mcu (from my PCB) with cubeProgrammer and the results are:"No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication"Today the debug pins are direct connection (without any pull-up or down), as show: But I already tried to pull-down (and pull-up) the SWCLK pin (as shared with BOOT0). but no way to recognize te MCU.Any idea? I just want to flash my first code into this G030

To use cpp, I create the project in cpp and then I modify the name of main.c in main.cpp. This work pretty well, but when I try to update the configuration by ioc file, the code stay the same. It seems like I have to change to main.c before update to be fine. Do it exists a more easy way without modify the main extension everytime? Ty

Hello!I have a question about ESD protection of Nucleo 144 STM32H7 development board. As I've noticed from the schematics the board uses ESDA7P60, ESDALC6V1, USBLC6-2SC6 and USBLC6-4SC6 for ethernet, buttons, SWD connectors and USB.Isn't it easier and more convenient to use one part in all these cases, for example USBLC6-4SC6? It suits ethernet, it also can be used for USB (just left 2 other channels not connected). And is there any reason why USBLC6 cannot be used for user buttons or for external PLS connectors (SPI, UART, GPIOs' signals etc)? Thanks in advance.

Hi,I am trying to set up a project with 2 can buses (CAN1 and CAN2), First goal was to check if both CAN1 and CAN2 would be able to receive and send messages. I read a bit about people struggling to make both can work because of the "master-slave" can filter configuration that was not clearly explained in the reference manual especially when setting the can filterbank "cursor". Therefore I took care of CAN's filter configuration and my MX_CAN1_Init and MX_CAN2_Init looks like this:/*** @brief CAN1 Initialization Function* @PAram None* @retval None*/static void MX_CAN1_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 0 *//* USER CODE BEGIN CAN1_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END CAN1_Init 1 */hcan1.Instance = CAN1;hcan1.Init.Prescaler = 4;hcan1.Init.Mode = CAN_MODE_NORMAL;hcan1.Init.SyncJumpWidth = CAN_SJW_1TQ;hcan1.Init.TimeSeg1 = CAN_BS1_2TQ;hcan1.Init.TimeSeg2 = CAN_BS2_2TQ;hcan1.Init.TimeTriggeredMode = DISABLE;hcan1.Init.AutoBusOff = DISABLE;hcan1.Init.A
