I have my own little board: with STM32U575CIT6Q (LQFP48 package). The USB is very simple and just DM (PA11) and DP (PA12) are connected. No USB-C, no USB-C Power Detector neither external chips for USB-C (as on NUCLEO-Board for USB-C-power).I want to bring-up a simple USB VCP (CDC) UART, in FS mode. But all the code (generated by CubeMX) and example codes in CubeMX drivers/demo/application download does not work:a) I do NOT want to use USB-C stuff, assuming "UCPD", e.g. MX_UCPD1_Init(); means "USB-C Power Detection"! There is not anay USB-C power detection, unit etc.b) biggest problem: when code enters call: CHECK_CAD_FUNCTION_CALL in file "usbpd_pdm_core.c" - my external debugger (ST-Link2 via SWD pins (PA13 = SWDIO, PA14 = SWCLK) is disconnected (debugger in GUI is lost). This function CHECK_CAD_FUNCTION_CALL comes from a pre-compiled LIB "USBPDCORE_NOPD_CM33_wc32.a" - what is it doing?==> how to create a simple USB FS VCP UART with STM32U575 chip? (w/o any USB-C stu

I use the OCTASPI as QSPI. So far ok (QSPI transactions work). But I have realized:a) the QSPI does not release any signals after a transaction has finishedb) it does not seem possible to use OCTASPI (in QSPI mode, maybe as well in single SPI mode on OCTASPI pins) in "multi-master" mode (see details below)The OCTASPI does not release signals (at least not SCK, DIO0..3). And not possible to verify the state of NCS signal (if another master has grabbed the bus).Regular SPI can do: see in datasheet:So, I need QSPI (via OCTASPI) also in "multi-master" mode. It means:a) all signals are released after QSPI has finished (SCK, DIO0..3 are floating between transactions - it does not)b) NCS signal can be turned into an input, or use it as an Open-Drain output (with external pull-up)c) check the status of NCS (as input or read Open Drain status) before a new QSPI transaction is launched ("not another QSPI master on the bus")Is this possible? Is this a missing feature? Most "annoying": SCK, DIO0..3 a

I am just now moving over from ESP32 to STM32 Discovery. One of the features that I like about the STM32 is that there are 3 ADC and several accessible channels. In my previous design on the ESP32 I used external ADCs and communicated with them using SPI. I'm hoping I can cut out the external ADCs.In the STM32F4 Discovery schematic it shows how the VDDA and VREF+ pins are connected so no external (highly accurate) reference voltage can be applied without cutting traces (which is not preferred). Also I have found recommendations for reading the VREF+ voltage level with software and comparing it to the reading from the ADC. This makes sense in theory and since I'm not concerned about sample rate at this point I think it is a viable option. And if there was noise on VREF+ line or the input I can take an average of many samples.I'll need to try it out for myself but wondering if anyone has experience and can recommend which method (or a different method) would work best for accurate ADC

Hi everyone! I have a STM32F412RET7 MCU and I made myself a breakout board. However when I try to upload a code I get an error: Failed to execute MI command ... load .elf. I have recently procured a X-NUCLEO-GNSS1A1 on its own. I would simply like to use the LIV3F to test the LNA/SAW filtering along with different antennas as well. I am able to connect the LIV3F to Teseo Suite via FTDI -> UART. I can see all of the satellites and NMEA data being streamed by the receiver, but I am unable to change any settings. I need to update a couple of settings, but the LIV3F is not detected, and it is shown in Teseo Suite as a 'generic' device, instead of a LIV3F, or LIV3FL, etc.  Any assistance would be much appreciated, I feel that I've exhausted every resource I have trying to change the settings. fwiw, I have a couple of custom PCBs with LIV3Fs installed on them, and I do not have this issue with those boards. Only the LIV3F on the X-NUCLEO-GNSS1A1.

Is there any option to control output volume in Power IC FDA802?

I see this note in the user manual for the STM32U5A9J-DKIs it possible to enable 3.3V output for the GPIO on the CN9 header by removing SB56 and jumping the 3V3 pin to IOREF, or would this damage the board or not have the effect I intend?

Hi all, how are you?. I'm making a project with an STM32F401VE and I've updated the IDE, after that there are about ten dependencies that says something related to inknown dependencies and the .ioc project doesn't opens. I read some over there and some other people had the same problem after the STM32Cube IDE was updated, currently for me is showing this problem with the version Version: 1.5.1, Build: 9029_20201210_1234 (UTC).I tried also to import the project or creating a new project but the behavior is the same. How could this problem be solved? In the meantime I will simply reinstall the IDE

I am trying to erase my STM32U575 which is on a Nucleo board (U575ZI-Q) and it connected to the computer via ST-Link V3. I can erase the chip fine using the GUI STM32CubeProgrammer, but the command line method does nothing. This is the output I get when trying to run the erase all command: ./STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe port=SWD UR --e all-------------------------------------------------------------------STM32CubeProgrammer v2.13.0-------------------------------------------------------------------After a brief pause, it finishes with nothing else printed.Any ideas?

The SATEL-VL53L8CX dev boards were all out of stock, so I picked up the LS53LX-SlL8 Light Saber Sensor VL53L8CX by Gilisymo for debugging before I build my own PCB. I am interfacing with the sensor via the Adafruit itsy bitsy nRF52840 (but have also used the xiao nRF52840 Sense and the ESP32-S3 QtPy for debugging purposes).I had previously been able to work with the VL53L5CX easily using the Sparkfun library with a very similar set up. However, using the STM32duino library I can't communicate with the sensor via my nRF52840. The vl53l8cx_set_i2c_address() function fails some of the time, and other times it will succeed but the following vl53l8cx_is_alive() function will fail. My physical set up (with this devboard) is connecting ground to ground, 3v to Vin, SDA to SDA, SCL to SCL, and the A3 GPIO pin of my MCU to the LPn pin. I have validated that the A3 pin is responsive when I digitalWrite high and low, so it should function as a LPn control pin. I am al

Hi,I would like to know if you could send me the FIT reliablity data for the IC : HDMI2C3-5F2Our wished condition are :temperature  = 55°CConfidence level (C.L) = 60%Thanks a lot,Laurent CATTELLAT

Hello, I noticed that using the X-CUBE-TOF Package with the STM32WL55JC Nucleo-Board has an issue with the I2C-Peripheral(I2C-2). This genrates the I2C code in the IDE. And the Sensor can be derived.while if I define the Sensor bus IO:The Generated code is without the I2C And the Sensor is not discovered. Is that normal? should I define something to make the I2C code get generated or this is a bug in the CUBEMX-Package for ToF?Thank youAmir

If I want to use the Mini-PCB of the VL53L1X SATEL, which type of plug do I need to plug that in? (I would like to label this with "Time of flight" but unfortunately, this seems to be not possible for me ;-( ).

Hello,I made a custom f746 board like it is done on the discovery board. I have only implemented SDRAM and QuadSPIFlash. I can program the mcu without any problems. The display flickers heavily  https://youtube.com/shorts/pYuCkyMqsgM?si=iGS41lJvxs_CgsnHI am trying to get an inage on the display without SDRAM to check if the basic setup with mcu and display works. Any other tips on what this could be? ThanksMartin

Hello, I am looking for a part marking for LIS3MDLTR. The part says SF 233, but am unsure if this is the correct marking. I have read ST does not post their part markings externally.

Hi,I am attempting to send AT commands via USART1 to an ESP8266-01 connected to my STM32L452RE Nucleo board. I am trying to initialize an HSE with the following settings:And the following clock configuration: My problem is that the code is stopping in the  SystemClock_Config() function call in main.c, specifically here:To troubleshoot this problem, I've tried: Connecting the ESP01 to USART 2 and 3Driving the boot0 pin to low (Putting a Jumper from pins 7-8)Additionally i've tried the LSE in crystal mode, as well as LSE and HSE in bypass modes. I have also tried using the HSI, and the commands sent to my ESP-01 are not sent at all. (Note the commands are called from the function ESP_Server_Init() in main.c)I'm relatively new into the world of embedded programming, so any help would be appreciated regarding my clock configuration to send the commands to my USART. My source code and ioc are attached. Thanks!

I'm trying to do uart stm23F7xx communication with a bldc controller, based on the blds controller protocol, I did communication but using an arduino and the labrarry #include <SoftwareSerial.h>,I found it hard with stm32 the problem I have to send some data to start a communication using sendParameter()and to receive a frame in a table of size 10 (see image protocol in touche), the problem I only receive two values tab[0] and tab[1 ]the first correct value and the second value  is incorrect: here is my code: uint8_t rx_buff[10];uint8_t tx_buff[]={0x66,0x02,0x00,0X68}; //MESSAG SENT TO BLDC CONTROLLERvoid SystemClock_Config(void);static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);static void MX_USART1_UART_Init(void);void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){  HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart1, rx_buff,sizeof(rx_buff)); //You need to toggle a breakpoint on this line! }int main(void){   HAL_Init();  SystemClock_Config();   MX_GPI

I'm trying to jump from the Arduino realm to STM8 realm and setting this software up is brutal going through company IT. They won't give me admin rights and I'm wondering if that is why I can't edit a simple stm8.h files to uncomment out my particular MCU. I'm using the STM8-so8-Disco discovery board and all I wanted to do was change the delay rates of the LED setting, but I can't change anything in the demo files. I found a step by step setup process and I'm walking through that online, Starting STM8 Microcontrollers | Embedded Lab (embedded-lab.com) but that says you need to load the library files and edit the stm8s.h file to uncomment the particular MCU you are using, but I cannot do that either. I've tried everything I can think of but I'm starting to wonder if it might be caused by the fact that my IT group won't let me have admin rights to my PC so I can't run the program as the administrator. Could that be the problem and is there a work around? Thanks

I have the low power timer LPTIM1 working on a STM32H7A3 but the way I have to clear the IRQs is a little confusing.  Here's my IRQHandler:void LPTIM1_IRQHandler(void) { //Disable LPTIM1 CLEAR_BIT(LPTIM1->CR, 0x01); //Clear IRQs LL_LPTIM_ClearFlag_ARRM(LPTIM1); LL_LPTIM_ClearFlag_CMPM(LPTIM1); //Enable LPTIM1 SET_BIT(LPTIM1->CR, 0x01); LL_LPTIM_StartCounter(LPTIM1, LL_LPTIM_OPERATING_MODE_CONTINUOUS); lptim1TestTimerCallBack(); }I don't understand why I have to disable LPTIM1 before clearing the ARRM and CMPM IRQ flags.  Nothing I've found in the reference manual says I need to do this.  But if I don't, LPTIM1_IRQHandler keeps getting called with no delay.  If I do the enable/disable dance, LPTIM1 function as I expect.  If I understand correctly, disabling LPTIM1 stops the counter while I clear the IRQs.  In this case, that little bit of added delay isn't a big issue but it doesn't seem right and I'd like to understand what I'm doing wron

I am trying to write code for a simple transmit and receive in FDCAN (Classic Mode) in external loopback mode, but I have been unsuccessful in doing so. I don't even know where I am going wrong and am looking for help as my last resort.  I have tried using the MCP2551 CAN trasceiver and also without, as I am unsure whether the NUCLEO H7A3ZI-Q has an inbuilt transceiver or not. Whenever I try to run my code, the TxBufferMessagePending starts facing errors. Also, I wanted to know, if a transceiver is required for CAN interface, is it possible on a CAN transceiver like the MCP2551 or do I require a seperate CANFD transceiver. Please find attached .ioc file and main.c code for my STM Project.

Hi Guys I'm facing one problem in GPO side .i have try to read the input pin PA_3 and PA_2 that time i'm facing one issue .what i'm do try to read the switch using PA_3 and PA_2 Software side i have write pull down when i'm press the switch one PA_3 executing that loop same pa_2 but problem i have press the PA_3 switch is working Pa_2 loop and i press the pa_2 switch but is working pa_3 loop sometime is work normally  this is my code so please help

STM32f103vet6It's in the manual that SDIO adapter clock (SDIOCLK = HCLK).  When HCLK is set to 72MHz, SDIO_CK is configured through the register SDIO_CLKCR bit 7:0(CLKDIV). When the bypass clock is not used, SDIO_CK=SDIOCLK/[CLKDIV+2], which should be the frequency division of 72MHzBut the default parameter in the code generated by STM32CubeMX is to divide 48MHz. The two macros in the file stm32f1xx_ll_sdmmc.h are defined for 48MHz, and these two macros are used when calling the HAL SD Init function. If used in this way, it will cause overclocking.

Hello Team, Hello i have a Nucleo H745ZI_Q board in this Ethernet without RTOS is working fine but  when am going to configure ADC  all the three ADCs are shows error message --> Partly Disabled conflict with: ETH: mode RMII   even many channels also showing error message . Whats the issue ?? How to resolve this ???? Best Regards,Gagan Gowda G R

I use STM32F407 Discovery board to generate analog signals using DAC with DMA transfer. The goal is to use both DAC channels to have two signals generated simultaneously. However, I cannot enable the DMA request for the second channel. After analyzing previous posts, I understood that I need to change the settings on the low level and deal with registers. The reference manual states:To efficiently use the bus bandwidth in applications that require the two DAC channels at thesame time, three dual registers are implemented: DHR8RD, DHR12RD and DHR12LD. Aunique register access is then required to drive both DAC channels at the same time. The problem is that I cannot find the way to configure these registers in STM32CubeIDE and understand what exactly do I need to change to enable the dual DAC channel converstion. Could you answer whether I am on the right way of thinking, and if yes, what can I do to access the register values of the DAC and enable the DMA request for the sec
