I wonder if there are any discovery or evaluation boards that directly support connection to a 10.1" screen, and please do respond with something other than Riverdi. It would be nice if one could develop its own hardware without being overly dependent on third parties such as Riverdi. Has anyone managed to use the STM32747I-DISCO board (or any other board for that matter) with a bare 10.1" screen that has a 40-pin LVDS connector? So far I have only seen examples using the DISCO board with smaller screens. The 60-pin connector on the DISC board seems to carry a number of differential clock and data signals, so this looks like LVDS. Is it just a question of making a mechanical adapter from one connector to another?

like the following code:   int ANDresult = i&j;   The value of ANDresult is 0x20022002. In our assignment our professor asked us to write down the address of the variable ANDresult, I tried to add ANDresult as an expression in the Memory monitor but the CubeIDE redirected to the address 0x20022002, which obviously is not the address of ANDresult. Thanks!Debugger: STLink V2MCU:STM32F103VET6

Hi Everyone,I'm trying to port LwIP to STM32H573I-DK and has referenced to:1. GitHub - STMicroelectronics/stm32h5-classic-coremw-apps at v1.0.0 2. GitHub - stm32-hotspot/STM32H7-LwIP-Examples: Ethernet examples using LwIP + FreeRTOS for STM32H7 Discovery and Nucleo boardsBut it still cannot work. The problems is that HAL_ETH_ReadData cannot receive any data after initialized. The attachment is my ethernetif.c and eth.c which including MX_ETH_Init and HAL_ETH_MspInitAnd STM32H573I-DK configuration is also attached. Thanks for everyone.

Dear STM32 team,I am a bit confused about the OCTALSPI device (using it as QuadSPI):Why is it not possible (not supported) to use OCTALSPI also as a regular SPI?Datasheet states that "Single-SPI" is possible - but it means actually: "Single-Lane-SPI": still in half-duplex mode (not possible to send and receive at the same time). Not regular SPI!BTW:It would be "cool" if the pin assignments (and ALT functions) would allow to use some QSPI signals also as regular (full-duplex) SPI signals. Why we, for instance, this mapping?OCTALSPI1_NCS = SPI1_NS    - nice: matchingOCTALSPI1_IO3   = SPI1_MISO - bad: map it to OCTALSPI1_IO1 - mismatchingOCTALSPI1_IO2   = SPI1_MOSI - bad: map it to OCTALSPI1_IO0 - mismatrchingand the SCK signal is on different pins: mismatchingIt is obvious for me, why OCTALSPI cannot work as "regular" SPI:It is NOT possible to configure an indirect read plus an indirect write at the same time (even the DIO1 signal turns properly to an input,

Hey,I tried to activate the HDP feature / secure software area on H753 following this documentation HDP secure area for STM32H7B3xx microcontrollers - Application note. I did only activate the security option byte not the secure software area itself. But I cannot connect via ST32 Cube Programmer anymore .- Error: No STM32 target found. My procedure so far:- Clear Flash- Activate Security option byte to get access to the RSS code- Implement jump in Bootloader via RSS_exitSecureArea - 0x1FF0 9514 (controller dependent)- Flashed Bootloader and Application- Cannot connect via Debugger Hot plug (and under reset as well)- Did not activate secure software areas yet Whats strange is, my display shows, that the application is started. Means, the jump via exitSecureArea does work. The application itself does as well works as expected. My understanding of the security option is, that it - forces the boot through RSS (therefore the need to connect as hot plug)- gives you access

I have a timer (TIM15) setup in trigger slave mode which uses CH1 for edge detect, and output compare on CH2. I have it working nicely to have the output low during the initial delay until the CNT reaches autoreload ARR. Then the output goes high as the output compare is 'Active level on match'. I then keep the oc in this state for some period of time (much longer than the resolution of timer can allow). At the end of this long period, I would like to be able to use the same delay triggered by an edge from CH1. I can get the final delay using 'inactive on match', but it doesn't wait for an edge on CH1, it just starts immediately. My main question is how can you reset the timer back into a state where it is waiting for an edge on CH1, without affecting the output on CH2? I want to hold the output high throughout the long delay and the also during the delay once the final edge is detected, until the output compare matches. If there are better strategies for timer setup, I'd like to hear

Hi!I am somewhat unclear on how to handle variable length transmissions using the STM32F4xx HAL. I have looked at other solutions, and suggestions have been made to use HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA() or the ISR equivalent. My situation however, involves a continuous non stopping transmission from a NEOM8N GPS Module. The GPS has a default baud rate of 9600, which I have observed in my code. It uses the NMEA0183 protocol, which has a max sentence length of 83 characters. Any suggestions on how to implement the receive function for this GPS?

On STM32F401CCU6I'm trying to reserve these 2sectors for user config in gcc linker script:  Sector - Address ini ~ Address end - Size Sector 0 - 0x0800 0000 ~ 0x0800 3FFF - 16 Kbytes Sector 1 - 0x0800 4000 ~ 0x0800 7FFF - 16 Kbytes RESERVE Sector 2 - 0x0800 8000 ~ 0x0800 BFFF - 16 Kbytes RESERVE Sector 3 - 0x0800 C000 ~ 0x0800 FFFF - 16 Kbytes Sector 4 - 0x0801 0000 ~ 0x0801 FFFF - 64 Kbytes Sector 5 - 0x0802 0000 ~ 0x0803 FFFF - 128 Kbytes  But the code posted somewhere else on the forum is not working.Looking at the generated .bin at address 4000h seems to hold data, it's not FF/00   static const uint8_t __attribute__((section (".myDataStorage"))) memoryReserve[32768];     /* Entry Point */ ENTRY(Reset_Handler) /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = 0x20010000; /* end of RAM */ /* Generate a link error if heap and stack don't fit into RAM */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x0; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size

Hello,We currently use diode 1N5711 in an array. It would be beneficial to have matched batches as mentioned on the website 1N5711 - 70 V, 15 mA RF and Ultrafast Switching Signal Schottky Diode - STMicroelectronics.I'd like to know more about the matching process and what the deliverables look like. Customer support sent me here to connect with an apps engineer._Chris

Hi.I was in the middle of a debug session in a simple application for the STM32F429I-DISC1 in Keil uVision. I disconnected my board from the computer without ending the debugging session. When I reconnected my board, it wasn't detected anymore and it enters debug mode (I know it because the LED1 blinks) as soon as I connect it. Now I can't flash or debug anything. Anyone can help?

I am trying to configure TIM3 to reset on incoming PWM pulses and call IRQ on overflow, when pulses not coming. The prescaler and ARR are set for 150% of the PWM period. TIM3 in slave reset mode on trigger from CH2 input. MCU is STM32G051F8P.For some reason IRQ is called all the time, even when pulses coming. And status flags are all over the place, hard to tell what exactly caused the interrupt.Cube-generated initializationstatic void MX_TIM3_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END TIM3_Init 0 */ LL_TIM_InitTypeDef TIM_InitStruct = {0}; LL_GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* Peripheral clock enable */ LL_APB1_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_APB1_GRP1_PERIPH_TIM3); LL_IOP_GRP1_EnableClock(LL_IOP_GRP1_PERIPH_GPIOA); /**TIM3 GPIO Configuration PA7 ------> TIM3_CH2 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = PWM_STATE_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; GPIO_InitStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPU

I am having trouble displaying more than the first 6 lines of the display on my initial draw. As near as I can tell the touchgfxDisplayDriverTransmitBlock is called only three times and as a result only the first 6 lines of pixels are displaying correctly. Can't understand why is is just stopping and not being called again? SPI are in polling mode and no interrupts are being used. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Code is below: (Displ_SpiAvailable is set when SPI transmission is happening and reset when it is not) touchgfxDisplayDriverTransmitActive is only called three times as well. The application is set to use a partial buffer.  /* Private function prototypes -----------------------------------------------*/ /********************************************************** @brief TouchGFX integration: returns status of* communication to the display* @return 1 = there is a transmission running* 0 = no transmission***********************************************

I used the sample code of "en.stm32cubef4-v1-28-0\STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.28.0\Projects\STM32F401RE-Nucleo\Examples\UART\UART_Printf"I just printed the "test" in the while(1) loop. but the display of my computer is werid, and I checked the clock and hal level code, the clock frequency and data transfer is correct.there are data tranferred on the serial port. I captured from SB63 test point and use the PICOscope The USART2 frequency was set to 9600. And I think the USART2 use the APB1 bus frequency: 42MHzGPIO groupA connected to AHB1. I uploaded the modified code on the github: https://github.com/amazingHH/STM32_UART/tree/main/UART_PrintfI have two boards, and I tested each of them, they have same problem. So, is it a USART clock problem?BTW, I used the KEIL project in the sample code.

Good Morning,I am working with an engineer that needs to asses the current based on the states of the STM32WB.  Is the simplest approach to use the Nucleo Board with the part and then, reviewing the schematic, place a current meter in line with the jumper between VDD and the MCU?  For clarification i have attached the schematic of the Nucleo board and on page 5, JP3?  I realize this is a sort of nebulous question but I had thought you could use the power monitor with one of the nucleo/DK boards.  I believe I was wrong.  Thank you!

Hello,I'm curious if I am going through the correct procedure to put th H753I eval board in DFU mode. I have the power jumper JP10 on PSU. I then put a jumper on JP3 which is labeled BL_BOOT0 (which as far as I know puts the H7 in DFU mode when pulled high). I then plug in the PSU and then plug in usb cable to my pc and to the eval board. I've tried all three OTG ports, but I get no activity on my pc. When I check device manager, nothing new shows up at all. I've seen other see STM32 BOOTLOADER and STM32 in DFU mode, but I don't see either of these.Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

For the last few days I have tried to download STM32CubeIDE.Often the download page simply ends in an eternal spinner or a page fault.I see others reported the same december 2023 and it appears it just sorted itself.Others see the same now?I have tried a few different browsers/machines, cleared cashes and cookies. nothing seems to help.A different account didn't help either.

Good day.I'm working with a NUCLEO-U5A5ZJ-Q and I'm looking for the schematic - but it does not seem to be on the product page. The user manual contains some indication regarding connector usage and high level soler-link configs, but I would like to see the full schematic.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Team,Do you have a library of UART for motor control application, which we can readily use for our project and debug.Regards,Akhilesh

ST25R3917 doesn't commnicate on the I2C (Address 0x50) it seems like the chip doesn't start. Maybe a problem with the crystal?- Drawn current is 50uA- Signal on MCU_CLK is a 32.5kHz Squarewave- IRQ line stays lowI assume that the capacitance on the 27.12MHz crystal might be a problem (10p) an has to be lowered. Before changing the capacitance I would like to ask if there might be another reason for the problem. As far as I understand one should get a high signal on the IRQ line once the chip started correctly. What should be the frequency on the MCU_CLK pin after a cold start and how much current should the device draw if its unconfigured?

Is there a way to make STM32Cube Programmer controls a pair of pins in a CH340 or similar USB to TTL converter, to be able to control BOOT0 and NRST pins of an StM32 micro? I would like to make  a simple circuit that permits entering and exiting a bootloader automatically, without having to press reset and boot0 switches to program a STM32F030F4 controller.

Good morning,I'm using STM32F405 for my embedded project and this PCB version showed itself a real MCU killer... So far, it has already burned 4 MCU. Here's my situation. It's not my first time designing using an STM32 (I've already used STM32F103), but it was my first time using a PCB with this particular MCU, so it was my first time dealing with VCap pin. During project phase, I misread the datasheet and connected the VCap to the VDD 3.3V source power, so whenever the MCU was soldered to the PCB, I had 3.3V and GND short-circuit. To get around this situation, I bent up both VCap pins so they didn't touch the pad, leaving them floating. It worked, the MCU turned on, sink recognized it and it was working as expected. But something weird started to happen. My PCB acts like a central communication board that interconnects other PCB peripherals (via UART) with the computer via USB. Two PCB peripherals controls motors, so I have to power then with 24V and 5V, besides the communica

Currently try to configurate settings for register I2C_CRI. Not sure which value should I set for bit NOSTRETCH. I am using I2C as master. This bit only effected when using I2C as slave. But in manual mention must kept cleared in master mode.  Meaning that if I2C use as master mode need to set 0. Which seems like "clock stretching is enable".... Please advise. should I set 0 or 1 in my case. I cannot understand the explanation. ----------explanation from STM32h7 reference manual----------------------- ・Bit 17 NOSTRETCH: Clock stretching disable ・This bit is used to disable clock stretching in slave mode. It must be kept cleared in master mode. ・0: Clock stretching enabled ・1: Clock stretching disabled Note: This bit can only be programmed when the I2C is disabled (PE = 0). -----------------------------end-------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,This is the first time I am starting a post, sorry in advance if it's not in the correct place.I have a Blue-Pill with original STM32F103C8T6. I have Vbat hooked up to a 0.33 F super cap via 100 ohm. Vdd is connected to V bat with a BAT54C Schottky diode. Vbat is decoupled with a 100 nF MLCC capacitor of good quality.I am using the RTC clock and the backup SRAM. It all works well. However, when powering down it appears that Vbat drops rapidly while drawing somewhere between 2 and 3 mA (depending on the charge level) of the super cap.At first I thought that I had broken the chip by accident and therefore I ordered another Blue pill, but the effect stayed the same: high current consumption.I checked the decoupling capacitor. I checked the diode, even took it out during Vbat operation. I also let the program run in an empty while loop. I disconnected the programmer. Nothing seems to help. The AC level on the 32.768 kHz crystal in V bat and normal mode is about 300 mV, measured with a 1

Dear St,I'm developing a cluster with a client and server, where I have a client to write on the cluster of the server. I can write with the function ZbZclWriteReq() on the server, but I'm not always successful. When I do the first write, I have success, but in the next ones, I have some failures. Especially when I put a Hal_delay of 10 seconds because I just want to send a message every 10 seconds. When I don't have the delay, the communication works better, but I don't understand why.I also have another case where when I'm writing to the server without delay, I always have been successful until I touch the switch SW1. The SW1 on the server has the function of making a local read of the attributes of the cluster. In my project, I'm developing with the Nucleo Board WB55RG.Do you know what can be my problems?Best RegardsJorge Alves

Hello All,I'm using custom board that has STM32H753BIT6 microcontroller for this i need to integrate Touchgfx that should use cmsis_v2 OS along with LTDC feature.I tried in display 800 x480 that uses LTDC feature, where project code is in baremetal  (Not OS) and i had used c code array to fill frame buffer just to check display is up and display is working. Now i need touchgfx project that uses cmsis v2 and LTDC.Can someone help me in this for getting solution.
