This is one that baffles me:I set up Timer 8, and everything haasworking perfect. Then i did set up interrupt on some pins, and then the PWM signal on timer 8 stopped working.This is what i did, so the Timer 8 stopped working:Edit: Only with the pull UP resistor the problem does not appear.      my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0 | GPIO_PIN_1 | GPIO_PIN_2; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_IT_RISING_FALLING; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &my_GPIO_InitStruct);     This is how i setup Timer 8:      // **************** PWM ********************* // PC6-8 // PC10-12 my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_6 | GPIO_PIN_7 | GPIO_PIN_8 | GPIO_PIN_10 | GPIO_PIN_11 | GPIO_PIN_12; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; my_GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &my_GPIO_InitS

Hi  I have an STM32L433CBT processor and created a project using STM32 IDE version 1.14. I created the project on STM32 MX version 6.9.1 .  The project works in debug and I created a release version , but the elf file is far too large. I have the following running in the post build steps:arm-none-eabi-objcopy -S -O binary "Project.elf" "Project.bin" then use the bin file to program the chip out in the field. For some reason the elf file generated in release is 232KB, and the converted bin is 131,073KB.   Compared to previous larger projects where the elf is size 176KB and converted bin is 68KB. When I build the application I get the following in the console:arm-none-eabi-gcc -o "Project.elf" @"objects.list" -mcpu=cortex-m4 -T"D:\Work\air\STM32\Project\STM32L433CBTX_FLASH.ld" --specs=nosys.specs -Wl,-Map="Project.map" -Wl,--gc-sections -static -u _printf_float --specs=nano.specs -mfpu=fpv4-sp-d16 -mfloat-abi=hard -mthumb -u _printf_float -Wl,--start-group -

All: I have connected internal temperature to ADC3, and I am able to display degrees C on "Live Expressions".  The particular chip we are working with has an operating range of -40 C to + 85 C. If I am monitoring the internal temperature on a regular basis (once per second), is there a temperature that would be good for fault condition? I am assuming I do not want to fault at 85 C, but is there a temperature that people have generally used as a condition to fault? (Is 75 C a good temperature to raise an alarm?) By the way, my Nucleo board generally runs at 30 C, after starting at roughly 26 C when first powered. Regards, Todd Anderson

I have flashed my own program on the EVAL board. But I cannot find the an STM32CubeIDE project which ST provided as the factory default. Can you please provide the location for the same or a zip file ?

Hello? As title, at STM32H750, when will be fix to use termperature sensor/vbat/vref? In version 1.15, all checkboxes were cleared. Due to migration, the lower version couldn't even read it, so I reset it from the beginning. And then, it seems that the bug where garbage values of live expressions are displayed is still the same. If I don't write a random value to a random variable, an error that is not displayed normally will remain. Please review.

Trying to find details about this chip. New to this and trying to follow tips to fix a car. This chip i was told was going to be a 93xxx series eeprom but as you can see its not. I cant find anything on it looking up the part number unless im missing something. I need to read the code and change a serial number on it. I understand the process for the 93xxx eeproms to read and write on it but without any info on this one I'm not sure if its even a eeprom or if I'm wasting my time. Any tips would be appreciated.

Dear all,I have the STM32F469 discovery kit which is working. I want to use the STM32F469 to drive a 4" tft lcd screen using its 31 pin mipi connector. The goal is to get a gauge displayed on it, I was thinking of using LVGL to design the GUI.I have a hard time getting started with this and was wondering if anyone has a good tutorial to get started? Many thanks

Hello,I was wondering why a 1K resistor is connected in series with the VSPI pin of the EV-VNF1048F.The pin has a current consumption of 3mA. So does that make a drop of 3V ?

Hi all, I am fairly new in using STM32CubeIDE. I am working with three peripherals (uart1, uart2 and CAN) as also a timer interrupt in the STM32F103C8. I have written all the code in the main.c file. It is working but the coding is a bit jumbled up. For better readability, I want to put different functions of the three peripherals and the timer in different source files and call them from the main function. I am adding new c source files in the src folder but I have trouble in accessing the functions placed in these files from the main.c file. Can anybody please guide me in this matter?

Hello,I updated my stm32 project because I had problem on the older version. So I updated the Time.ioc by migrating version...  ...but when I open the system clock configuration I see that it's not the same configuration for "To Ethernet PTP". For information I'm working on a STM32F769BGT6.Old version : New version :  Id'like to know if it is normal or not, and if I can change it to have the same configuration as the old version ? Thanks

Dear all,on a custom board based on STM32MP157D I successfully managed to configure an LCD display that works perfectly using "modetest -s" and "psplash-drm". But I cannot run the examples in the st-example-image-qt because I always get the same error: # /usr/share/examples/opengl/hellowindow/hellowindowQEGLPlatformContext: Failed to create context: 3005and nothing is shown on the display. Here is the my /usr/share/qt5/cursor.json:{ "device": "/dev/dri/card0", "hwcursor": false, "pbuffers": false, "outputs": [ { "name": "DPI-1", "mode": "640x480", "touchDevice": "/dev/input/event0" } ]} Attached you can find also some verbose logs that could help troubleshooting:- modetest.txt: output of the command "modetest -Mstm"- verbose-hellowindow.txt: output of the command "hellowindow" after setting verbose QPA logs- dmesg.txt: dmesg output running "psplash-drm" and "hellowindow" Do you have any hint?Thank you!

Hi! I have a code that is supposed to develop CAN-bus communication, but these two functions go straight to error handler. Any suggestions why that might be? for reference I'm using the nucle-l433rc-p board.

Hello Everyone,I am facing problem in ADC section of  our project schematic. We are using ADS8505 Analog to digital converter as the output of ADC ranges from 0v to 5V and microcontroller which we are using(STM32F413ZGT6) is connected to 3.3 Volts supply voltage we had to incorporate a Low voltage CMOS buffer in between i.e. (74LCX541/SO).There aren't enough test circuit example available on internet for (74LCX541/SO).Please suggest how can we incorporate (74LCX541/SO) with STM32F413ZGT6 microcontroller. Also attaching existing schematic for your reference.

Hi,I have purchased a sensor expansion board (X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1) for my board (NUCLEO - F446ZE). However, when I wanted to display the data on Unicleo-GUI, the GUI cannot detect anything, not even my firmware. I looked through the datasheet for Unicleo-GUI and I did not see IKS4A1 being a supported model for the GUI. Could this be the issue? In terms of setting up the board, I basically followed "Getting started with X-CUBE-MEMS1 with STM32CubeMX" document, specifically the steps under section 7.2 --"Use of MEMS Library with sample applications for X-NUCLEO-IKS01A3 or X-NUCLEO-IKS02A1 or X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1". Am I following the wrong step?Best.

Hi!I'm having some troubles in configuring the I2C bus on my STM32H747 evaluation board.I've configured it in CubeMX as in the image below, using DMA buffer (rx and tx). Gpio pins are configured as open drain (no pull) and hardware is ok.It seems like the peripheral is not correctly initialized because I can't see any toggle of SCL pin on my scope (both SCL and SDA go low during initialization but, after that, they don't move anymore). Can someone help me please? Thanks

Hello,I am using for the first time the FDCAN peripheral. I have configured it in classic CAN 2.0 mode and I have problems with transmission. In particular, when I start a transmission, nothing is output on the tx pin, and the TRP field in the FDCAN_TXBRP register remains stuck at 1. The FDCAN tx/rx pins are connnected to a well terminated bus, where is present another CAN node.It can't be a bus arbitration problem, because the other CAN node doesn't send messages on the bus by its own. Any help is really appreciated.  Below is the code snippet that doesn't work.       uint8_t txData[] = {0x01, 0x02, 0x03, 0x04, 0x05, 0x06, 0x07, 0x08}; fdcan.Instance = FDCAN2; fdcan.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; fdcan.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; fdcan.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; fdcan.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE; fdcan.Init.TransmitPause = ENABLE; fdcan.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE; fdcan.Init.NominalPrescaler = 12; fdcan.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth =

Hi,I am building my application which can be found here.I get many errors of which mostly about multiple definition of variable. However, when I search through the code, I dont see a second definition. Hello, I am developing an application, starting from stm32 empty project. The main file presents the following preprocessor header, that triggers the reported FPU initialization warning when I try to build the project.  #if !defined(__SOFT_FP__) && defined(__ARM_FP) #warning "FPU is not initialized, but the project is compiling for an FPU. Please initialize the FPU before use." #endif The FPU project settings are the following. Why I have this warning?Regards,Carlo

I'm encountering an issue while attempting to configure my STM3240G-EVAL board to function as a “Mass Storage Device” with a microSD as Storage.I used the MX configurator and followed tutorials but encountered the same issue every time. I can compile but if I connect the board via USB to my computer no device is detected. Here's a breakdown of my configuration in MX:SDIO and DMA:SDIO is in “SD 4 bits Wide bus”-DMA2 is active (SDIO_RX to DMA2 Stream 3 and SDIO_TX to DMA2 Stream 6) SDIO global interrupts are enable.I tried different SDIOCLK clock divide factors (PCLK2 are 84MHz)MSC:USB_OTG_FS is “Device_Only”Class for FS IP in USB_DEVICE is set to “Mass Storage Class”. the other options are untouched. Did I miss something or had somebody the same issue?

Hi,I could use some help getting started with SPI5 (limited feature set). I want to operate as SPI master and send a single byte. I want to control SS manually as ordinary GPIO out.I've enabled the peripheral clock, and I can see in the debugger that FIFO flag TXTF goes high when I write to TXDR, and that I set CSTART. But nothing comes on MOSI or SCK, and EOT is never set.Do you spot anything obvious in the code below? What puzzles me is that if I set SSIOP = 0 and use the same code, TXTF and CSTART is not set. SSIOP should not be of importance when the peripheral is not in control of SS, right? // Enable AF on MOSI, MISO, SCK. Set CS 1 and 2 as outputs (manual control).GPIOF->MODER = (GPIOF->MODER & 0b11111111111100000011110000111111) | 0b00000000000010101000000101000000;SPI5->CFG1 = 0b01110000000000000000000000000000;SPI5->CFG2 = 0b10010001010000000000000000000000;SPI5->CR2 = 1;SPI5->CR1 = BIT(0); SPI5->IFCR |= BIT(3); // Clear EOT flag.SPI5->TXD

Hey, I am trying to send 20 messages over FDCAN using the G0B1RE Nucleo board. The problem is that only a few messages arrive (~12 most of the time), the messages have wrong data and sometimes it crashes the FDCAN-Module. When it crashes the HAL_FDCAN_RxFifo0Callback is not being called anymore, no more messages are being sent and no error code is generated yet all HAL FDCAN functions return HAL_OK. I am sending the first message via HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ in my main loop and every following message in the HAL_FDCAN_TxBufferCompleteCallback/*SENDING THE MESSAGES*/ FDCAN_TxHeaderTypeDef header; header.Identifier = 0; header.IdType = FDCAN_STANDARD_ID; header.TxFrameType = FDCAN_DATA_FRAME; header.ErrorStateIndicator = FDCAN_ESI_PASSIVE; header.BitRateSwitch = FDCAN_BRS_OFF; header.FDFormat = FDCAN_CLASSIC_CAN; header.TxEventFifoControl = FDCAN_NO_TX_EVENTS; header.MessageMarker = 0; header.DataLength = FDCAN_DLC_BYTES_8; uint8_t buf[32] = {0}; memset(buf, 0x31, sizeof(buf)

HiI am integrating TouchGFX into own RTOS.I use a TouchGFX/CubeMX generated project for STM32L4R9-DISCO board.I have moved initialization code into a driver for my RTOS - it seems to complete without errors. On touchgfx_init I get a bus fault from this code:As I cannot find anywhere in ARM documentation that 0xe000'2000 should be a valid address, it looks like the code is causing a bus fault deliberately. The exact same code gets executed in the ToughGFX/CubeMX generated project. Our RTOS is - of cause - set up to catch bus faults, but bus fault is not triggered/caught in the generated project. What is going on here - and how can I fix this?Rgds Tage

Hi,I am using the setup with LSM6DSL + LIS2MDL. All works fine, with the exception that once started the conversion to FIFO with sensor fusion, at 104 sps, I observe significant periodical (around 22 samples cycles) noise on the last acceleration axis (Z). With LIS2MDL stopped there is no noise. More, if I disable the internal pull-up resistors, the noise disappears as well. Any advice on this? Many thanks,Florin
