Hi there TouchGFX team!I want to run a UI on the STM32MP135 DK. I'n following the tutorial on: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_install_X-TouchGFX_MPU_Addon I'm able to select the mp135 dk in TouchGFX designer and create the files. Then, I open the files from the TouchGFX designer button and go to STM32CubeIDE/.project At this moment I can find 2 errors:1. I can't open CubeMX with the .ioc file. 2. I can't build the project using CubeIDE.   If I do the same process with a different board setup, the project builds as expected.  Thanks a lot in advance

Hi, I was just wondering if someone knew what n.m. meant on the schematic of the SMARTAG1. I assume do not populate but if so what purpose do these components serve if populated? Thanks.

Hi there TouchGFX team I've a ui running on the simulator and I would like to start running it on my dk. I can't find any examples on how to run it on the stm32mp135-dk, can you me guide on this?  Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there TouchGFX team! I have a STM32MP135-dk. I intend to run embedded Linux on it and I have a GUI developed on TouchGFX. It is possible to run the TouchGFX app in my embedded Linux image? If so, what's the documentation I can refer to.  Thanks a lot in advance

Hello there,I have STM32H747I-DISCO and ov5640. Can i use ov5640 for model-zoo ? If yes what changes are required ? I'm following repo : https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32ai-modelzoo/tree/mainI have already installed the "requirement.txt"How can i flash and run object detection pre-trained model example ?Thanks and Regards,Ishan

Hi,Today I received a new board from a distributor and used the Hands-On_WS_WBA55 example for initial tests. Everything worked fine. A few hours later, I reconnected the board to the USB board and wanted to flash the firmware. Since then I get the error message:Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB server.I have tried the usual procedures (plugging and unplugging, restarting the PC, reinstalling the driver), but unfortunately without success. I also have a NUCLEO-WBA52CG EVAL board and there are no problems with flashing. Please help!

Hi,The screenshot below is from the L9963E datasheet DS13636, page 125. Is the description for VTREF_BIST_FAIL here a typo?It matches exactly the description of a the VCOM_COMP_BIST_FAIL bit in the BIST_COMP register, which makes more sense. I note there is also a VTREF_COMP_BIST_FAIL bit in the BIST_COMP register, how does VTREF_BIST_FAIL compare to this flag?I can't find any other references to VTREF_BIST_FAIL in the rest of the datasheet.Best, Jack

Hello,I'm having problems implementing the FDCAN peripheral on the STM32U5F9 TFBGA-216 package. The peripheral is present and configurable in the IDE, but none of the registers update during initialization. In addition to my code, I've tried a bare project which only configures the FDCAN, and compared with multiple development kits from the U5 series. Code that is written for this target fails to init the U5F9 FDCAN, but works on a development kit with the LQFP variant of the U5G9. I've confirmed that our supporting hardware is functional—the chip runs as expected outside of this singular issue. There is a recent forum post in which an ST employee noted that the FDCAN on the U5F7 is disabled via hardware, but operable on the U5G7. I'm curious if this problem is reflected on the F9/G9 non-crypto and crypto variants as well? As of right now, the CubeMx still lists the peripheral as present and operable, and there's nothing in the device errata to indicate otherwise.Any thoughts @mƎAL

Hello,I got a screen including 4 text areas with wild card and a 4 flex buttons on top. Clicking a flex button trigger a keyboard that allows to change the content of the corresponding text area. When any flex button is clicked, I manage to identify which button is clicked thanks to an action defined (area_clicked) that is fed with the ident number (value) of the button. This value is manually defined for each button.I got a lot of code for a given couple (text area)&(flex button) that looks generic so I decided to give try defining a corresponding custom container until I bumped into the problem of the said value.Does a variable or symbol exist that would define the future number of the instance of my custom container which could be used in the container definition ?Thanks for help.

Hello, how are you! I am working with a project in the KEIL STM32756G_EVAL environment. Initially, the microprocessor was connected to an external 8 MHz clock generator, so the CAN bus operation was distorted. I purchased a 25 MHz quartz resonator and installed it on the Nucleo-F756ZG board. Removed the SB149 jumper and added two capacitors C37 and C38 (5.6 pF), and installed two SB8-SB9 jumpers that connect the quartz resonator to the microprocessor. After power was applied, the microprocessor started and began to correctly generate CAN bus signals. However, the Ethernet interface stopped working. Even the "ping 192.168.0.100" command does not work. So, I need help to fix the Ethernet problem.

Hello,STM32F103RB microcontroller.7-bit master transmitter (see Figure 273).When I send Address then I receive AF bit of I2C_SR1 register equals "1" (Acknowledge failure). But the diagram taken from the oscilloscope shows that after the address there is a Acknowledge bit equal to "0". Which does not correspond to the AF bit in I2C_SR1 register. Why? I also attach the program code. /** * @brief This function must be called before using other functions from this file. * None. * @retval None. */ void init_i2c1(void) { RCC->APB2ENR |= 0x00000008; RCC->APB1ENR |= 0x00200000; GPIOB->CRL &= 0x44000000; GPIOB->CRL |= 0xDD000000; I2C1->CR2 |= 0x0008; I2C1->CCR |= 0x0028; I2C1->TRISE |= 0x0009; I2C1->CR1 |= 0x0401; } /** * @brief This function must be called to generate START condition. * None. * @retval Execution result code: * - 0: Not successfully. * - 1: Successfully. */ unsigned char start_i2c1(void) { unsigned int te

Hello :)I have created a project for a STM32H745I_Disco board in TouchGFX, imported it to STM32CubeIDE and enabled:USB_OTG_FS -- Host_Only and VBUS sensingUSB_HOST_M7 -- Mass Storage Host Class + Platform settings for enable PinFATFS_M7 -- USB Disk, USE_LFN on, MAX_SS to 4096USART2 -- for debugging, asynchronous and 9600 Baudrate After this, I generated the code. I had to manually add the usb files (STM32_USB_Host_Lib, USB_HOST, FATFS) to the project for it to compile successfully. Now i want to write to a flash drive connected to the USB_FS port, using the default fatfs functions. All I did in the code is use f_mount, f_open, f_write and f_close for my flash drive, in usb_host.c in USBH_UserProcess under the HOST_USER_CLASS_ACTIVE case, like this:   case HOST_USER_CLASS_ACTIVE: Appli_state = APPLICATION_READY; FIL file; FRESULT res; char data[] = "Hello, World!"; UINT bytesWritten; // Attempt to mount the file system if (f_mount(&USBHFatFS, (TCHAR const

ST-LINK_gdbserver has been a very important part of my Arduino development with ST micros. I've used it extensively with the STM32L071 and am wanting to use it with the STMU073. But I need to upgrade it for the newer micro. So I've upgraded my CubeMX and my CubeProgrammer. However, ST-LINK_gdbserver is nowhere to be found! Could someone please tell me where to find it? I've looked everywhere (I think) and done lots of searching. Any help would be appreciated!TIA

HelloAfter running the code for about one to two hours I always get Hard Fault exception. Readout of the registers in this Hard Fault while loop are:HFSR=0x4000 0000CFSR=0x8200BFAR=0x20020000MMFAR=0x20020000AFSR=0 Readout of the SP register shows:SP=0x2001ff40*(SP)=8*(SP-1)=8*(SP-2)=1*(SP-3)=2*(SP-4)=2*(SP-5)=2*(SP-6)=0*(SP-7)=0*(SP-8)=0x2001ffc0*(SP-9)=0x8012ae8What is going on here? How to make a proper recovery from this situation?

I am trying to debug a sample project from st website and but it is stuck in the first line of main (assembly ) meanwhile when I flash the .hex with cube programmer , the project works perfectly. So I assume that it's a problem with the debugger.I made sure that he's selecting the correct .elf file but still not working I did respect all the readme steps.

Hello,How to use ST link programmer from NUCLEO-WB55RG to connected to STM32WB5MMG module to flash my code.

****Preliminary concern block START****Hello,Please help me understand any setting or IOC file change that can help me instruct STM32CubeMX to generate code which:A. Includes the Files from the GCC folder instead of RVDS folder (so that the code can be compiled using ARM / Keil Compiler version 6)?I currently have to modify the STM32CubeMX generated code for MDK-ARM V5.27 (or V5) to:Use MDK ARM compiler version 6Manually modify the generated UVPROJX file so as to:STOP using files PORT.C and PORTMACRO.H available in folder ..\Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\portable\RVDS\ARM_CM4F (path with reference to the UVPROJX file location) (note the word RVDS in folder path)Add path to the above two files which are instead available in folder Middlewares\Third_Party\FreeRTOS\Source\portable\GCC\ARM_CM4F (note the word GCC in folder path)I am afraid that as soon as I regenerate code with help of the IOC file and STM32CubeMX, the UVPROJX will again start using folde

Found a bit of an odd issue when switching from MSI (with a 160Mhz sysclock) to HSE (also with a 160Mhz sysclock). We're using the HAL_UART and its giving a error callback with a zero value uart->ErrorCode.The cause of it seems to be in the library HAL HAL_UART_IRQHandler()   if (HAL_IS_BIT_SET(huart->Instance->CR3, USART_CR3_DMAR)) { #if !defined(USART_DMAREQUESTS_SW_WA) /* Disable the UART DMA Rx request if enabled */ ATOMIC_CLEAR_BIT(huart->Instance->CR3, USART_CR3_DMAR); #endif /* !USART_DMAREQUESTS_SW_WA */ /* Abort the UART DMA Rx channel */ if (huart->hdmarx != NULL) { /* Set the UART DMA Abort callback : will lead to call HAL_UART_ErrorCallback() at end of DMA abort procedure */ huart->hdmarx->XferAbortCallback = UART_DMAAbortOnError; /* Abort DMA RX */ if (HAL_DMA_Abort_IT(huart->hdmarx) != HAL_OK) { /* Call Directly huart->hdmarx->XferAbortCallback function in case of error */ huart->hdmarx-&gt

HelloI need to trigger an action whenever a small object (aprox 1 cm diameter) is at a fixed distance (around 10 cm) of the sensor.Using VL53L0X the readings I get are very much affected by the background, for example if the object is in range and the background (1 m behind) changes from dark to white, the reading  changes to indicates a much larger distance. What can be done to improve this behavior? Absolute accuracy is not important, but repeteability is.

Hello,I'm currently trying to select the STM32H503CBU6 MCU in STM32CubeIDE, but I keep encountering the following error message:"The target device 'STM32H503CBUx' is currently not supported by STM32CubeIDE."Could anyone provide guidance on why this device is not supported and if there are any workarounds or updates that could enable its use in the IDE?Thank you in advance!Eliran

I have an STM32H7B31-EVAL board setup with TouchGFX.  I am able to compile and load a project using STM32CubeIDE.  I would like to be able to do the same from the command line.  I found this document that gives a very basic outline of the STM32_Programmer_CLI program.  I am able to load the MCU portion of the program this way, but I can't find any documentation on how to use it to load the external flash.  In CubeIDE, I have an external loader selected (MX25LM51245G_STM32H7B3I-EVAL-REVB.stldr).  I'm not sure how to use this setup from the command line.  Links to documentation or existing solutions would be appreciated.

Dear Sir or Madam, what is the absolute minimum measurement distance of VD55H1 3D iToF sensor die?Could you provide a (detailed) datasheet and application notes? Currently, there is only a data brief. Best regardsLukas Bath

Hi,Is it possible to distinguish an STM32G0B1KBU6N from an STM32G0B1KBU6 based on the UID?Is it possible to read this UID in FW in order to recognize whether the correct controller is fitted or is this only possible via the SW interface?

Hi,  I was reading @John E KVAM excellent post on Time of flight sensor glass:https://community.st.com/t5/mems-and-sensors/time-of-flight-cover-glass/ta-p/49259and this documentationhttps://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group0/9d/93/be/33/13/be/46/19/DM00326504/files/DM00326504.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00326504.pdf And was just wondering, how important is the IR coating:Our application will have a large sheet of glass, shared by a display (see image for reference) And it would be cost prohibitive to IR coat the whole glass. For reference the glass will be ~ 1.1 mm thick. Is this likely to cause problems?
