Solved

Dear ST Community,I am currently modifying an existing schematic to meet my specific requirements for the STM32MP135 Linux board. In line with these hardware changes, I would like to reconfigure and modify the Linux kernel image file accordingly. I need guidance on how to adjust the pin configurations and generate a new kernel image file.Could you please provide a step-by-step procedure for the following:Schematic Modifications:How to align the software configuration with hardware changes made to the schematic (e.g., GPIO, peripherals, or pin functions).Reconfiguration of Pin Settings in Kernel:How to locate and modify the required device tree files or pin control configurations to reflect changes in the schematic.Steps to adjust GPIO pin settings and peripherals in the kernel.Kernel Compilation:Commands or toolchains required to recompile the kernel after modifications.Guidance on rebuilding the Device Tree Blob (DTB) and compiling the kernel image.Deploying the New Kernel Image:How t

Could you please help me find the reliability MTBF/FIT Data for LPS22DFTR?

I use STM32MP157D. The Linux version is 6.1.28. When I use the USB-OTG virtual network port, my computer recognizes it as a USB serial device and cannot be recognized as a network port. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Here is my module loading process:

I am using STM32h747 board, CubeIDE Is FreeRTOS mandatory for touchgfx? Can we use touchgfx withous RTOS?

I am currently experiencing issues with the TouchGFX tool, as there is no option to select the RVT121HVLNWC00-B (STM32H757X) controller. Could you please provide some details regarding the interfacing of this controller with the display? Actually I'm having STM32H747x demo projects but it doesn't work.

Hello everyone,I want to make an adc reading using STM32F103C8T6 but I am really confused. first of all, the sensor I will use is the hall effect open loop current sensor ‘L31S300S05FS’ model. this sensor has 4 pins VCC GND VOUT VREF from these pinsVCC= 5VGNDVREF IN OUT MODE = 2.5VThe VOUT pin gives an output voltage that I do not fully understand. Does it make sense to connect the VREF and VOUT pins at the output of the sensor directly to the ADC pins of the processor or do I need to use an OPAMP? If I need to use an opamp, please help me how to connect the VREF pin. thanks.

Hi ST team, We are going to use the ST25R3916B chip in our project to design NFC reader. Due to mechanical design constraints, I have to place the antenna in separate PCBA near NFC tag. I would like to know how should i connect my RF output from reader board to antenna. Distance from reader PCBA to antenna required around 30-40 cm. Can you pls suggest will this solution work and what type of cable is required. Also what specific design considerations i have to take care?

6.11 now supports USBX baremetalAre there any examples of this? All I could find still use ThreadX

I would like to use TIM1 and TIM3 as a performance counter to evaluate my software application.  Is there an example of how to configure TIM1 and TIM3 to chain their 16-bit counters to create a 32-bit counter? From reading the reference manual, I can how to trigger TIM3 from an internal trigger signal, but I did not see how I can set TIM1 to pulse a single cycle on the trigger line upon overflow or a compare of the counter to 0xffff.I am using the STM32C031C6.Thank you.

Hello everyone, do ST actually plan to support STN (Time Sensitive Networking) on their wireless products ? For industrial applications this would probably be an interesting alternative to Profibus if it is robust enough :) Greetings,Andreas

Hello,I am wondering how to configure the MPU in CubeMX (6.12.1) so that I can enable the D-Cache and the I-Cache. I know the instructions that enable the caches (SCB_Enable_x_Cache(); replace _x_ with I or D) but was wondering on the configuration CubeMX generates.I am using the STM32H747I-Discovery board and CubeMX produced:MPU_InitStruct.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; MPU_InitStruct.Number = MPU_REGION_NUMBER0; MPU_InitStruct.BaseAddress = 0x0; MPU_InitStruct.Size = MPU_REGION_SIZE_4GB; MPU_InitStruct.SubRegionDisable = 0x87; MPU_InitStruct.TypeExtField = MPU_TEX_LEVEL0; MPU_InitStruct.AccessPermission = MPU_REGION_NO_ACCESS; MPU_InitStruct.DisableExec = MPU_INSTRUCTION_ACCESS_DISABLE; MPU_InitStruct.IsShareable = MPU_ACCESS_SHAREABLE; MPU_InitStruct.IsCacheable = MPU_ACCESS_NOT_CACHEABLE; MPU_InitStruct.IsBufferable = MPU_ACCESS_NOT_BUFFERABLE; HAL_MPU_ConfigRegion(&MPU_InitStruct); /* Enables the MPU */ HAL_MPU_Enable(MPU_PRIVILEGED_DEFAULT);Does this seem correct? My questions

I am testing Rx handler logic on a STM32H7 based board. Pins PD0/PD1 are set as Rx/Tx (huart4) with Global Interrupt set. The uart is setup to interrupt on Idle...HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA(_uart, _JoyRxData, BROADCAST_CMD_SIZE);and the interrupt is reset inside callback HAL_UARTEx_RxEventCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef * huart, uint16_t Size) I tested the serial connection and handler logic with the STM32H7 board connected to a PC (via USB-TTL converter), and separately with it connected to a OpenCM9.04 development board. When the STM32H7's Rx/Tx pins are connected to an OpenCM9.04 development board's Tx/Rx pins, the callback fails to trigger, even though uart->RxState changes...- When uart is initialized, and HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_DMA is set, uart->RxState changes from HAL_UART_STATE_READY to HAL_UART_STATE_BUSY_RX. (the UART is now waiting for data Rx)- When a connected OpenCM transmits data to STM32H7, uart->RxState changes from HAL_UART_STAT

Is there any difference if I create two freertos tasks by hand in my code or if I do it using the cubemx interface?Things like preventive checks, checks that the stacks do not overlap or are too big compared to the available memory?

MCSDK v6.3.0Problem: MCWB generated code with quadrature encoder does not spin motor properlySTWB6 file is attached.  I had to copy and paste the contents into a .txt file to upload it Here are links to videos with quadrature direction reversed and not reversed.  With the quadrature reversed I press the SW1 button and the motion seems to be somewhat smooth for the motion the motor makes.  With the quadrature signals NOT reversed the motor alternates back and forth violently and produces vibrations enough to move the motor test stand for ~5sec then cuts out and will not restart. The motor commutates smoothly in sensorless FOC mode using SW1 button startup.  Then I change the Speed Sensing Config to use the encoder signals and the motor behaves as described above.  The encoder has 4096 slots which is what I'm using for pulses per revolution.  I also tried 4*4096 (16,384) ppr but that resulted in a hard fault of the firmware immediately on star

My STM32WB55 is configured as I2C master and connected to an I2C slave. My I2C block is configured like this:I2C->CR1 = 0x01I2C->CR2 = 0x000A0060 (slave address=0x60 and NBYTES=0x0A)To start the I2C transaction I2C->CR2.START is set to 1.I2C communication starts, but at some point the slave send a NACK, this is expected. Then, my I2C block is stuck, I acknowledge the I2C_ICR_NACKCF flag, then send another START command. I2C block send START command on the bus but never rise the `I2C->ISR.TXIS` flag, it will never send anymore byte on the bus.An unexpected STOP is send right after the START.Here I can see a START command is sent on the bus and acked by the slave:How to recover from a NACK?Datasheet shows a diagram, if a NACK is received, state is `End` but what does it mean?stm32wb55rg_reference_manual.pdf, section 32.4.9 I2C master modeMy only workaround for now is to reset the I2C block. I attached the capture made with a Saleae device.Despite this NACK problem, it wor

I am using STM32U585 and I stumbled upon the following problem:If a device is configured with TrustZone enabled (TZEN=1) there is different behavior in the following situations:1. SPI is configured without DMA and CPU is running non-secure code in privileged mode in that case the CPU is able to read/write to SRAM1 (from IRQ handler)2. SPI is configured using GPDMA and CPU is running non-secure code in privileged mode however in this case the GPDMA is not able to read/write to SRAM1Reading the documentation I would expect that SRAM1 when TrustZone is enabled allows only secure / privileged access, but how does then the first described situation work at all, how does CPU have access to SRAM1 at all when it is running non-secure code?

Dear all,for the past few weeeks, I've been trying to get the STM32H753VIT6 up and running with the USB3320 ULPI interface but I have not been succesfull. First, I have tried to run a CubeMX generated USB CDC example to test the functionality, but the device was not detectable by a PC, yet the generated code was running, not hanging at any exception. After this, I was intending to test the basic functionality by reading the interface registers (the VID in this case). For this, I have used the undocumented, but known, functions that popped up in STM's low power code for the HAL. I know that using undocumented functions pointing to undocumented registers is far from optimal, but there are no other oprtions that I know of at this time. With this, I have been able to communicate with the PHY and read the register succesfully, but, the data seemed to be incorrect. My issue was that while reading the Vendor Identifier register (address 0x00), I get a read result of 0x28 instead of the e

Hi,i know that there are already a few posts on this topic, and i know the VL53L8CX has the same table as the VL53L5CX. But i just wanted to know, if anyboy could post the calculations for the LookUp-Table?Thanks!

Good morning , I have a problem on stm32: USART3 is impossible to put  into available:   the schematics of my nucleo 144 tell me however to use usart 3:  I wanted to do it manually by turning directly the pins of PD9 and PD10 into tx nd rx but it doesn't want to turn on the usart3. I think I am missing something.

Dear Gfx Team,GfxDesigner generates header files with line "using namespace touchgfx;"Code still compiles without it. Could these be removed ? Thanks

Are the SATEL-VL53L4CD breakout boards pre-soldered, which can be connected using female jumper wires?

Hi,I am using the ST25R3916 (NFC06A1 board) to perform NFC read/write operations with passive tags and Android-based devices (essentially used as passive tags without any background apps). Recently, I tried to use an iPhone, but I can't get it to work.Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks

i have created a user interface using touchgfx when i go to the second page sine wave has to be generated and parallelly display has to work is it possible to do this using controller or should i go for mpu

Hi, I am using stm32H7b0 in my project, can you help me how to create a double buffer for config   1-layer LTDC that uses internal SRAM for frame buffer? if you give me a sample code that would be better.Thank you

Hi,I am fairly new to the CI/CD processes. I am currently trying to use Bitbucket to run a pipeline to build my STM32CubeIDE project. I have set up the project on Windows in the STM32CubeIDE, I have then setup a pipeline using the image circutor/stm32cubeide from DockerHub (https://hub.docker.com/r/circutor/stm32cubeide).To first test this Docker image, I am using WSL to run the docker container and jump into it. Once in the container I am cloning my repo and running the command:/opt/stm32cubeide/stm32cubeide -nosplash -application org.eclipse.cdt.managedbuilder.core.headlessbuild -import . -build allIt looks to generate the makefiles in the Debug and Release folders, but it fails. The project is using a STM32WB15CCU. I get the following output: In file included from ../Drivers/CMSIS/Include/cmsis_compiler.h:54:0, from ../Core/Inc/utilities_conf.h:29, from ../Utilities/lpm/tiny_lpm/stm32_lpm.c:22: ../Drivers/CMSIS/Include/cmsis_gcc.h: In function '__get_CONTROL': ../Drivers/CMSIS/Inc
