Solved

Hi, I'm having a really hard time with the above example TouchGFX Board Setup in TouchGFX Designer 4.24.1.  What should be a really straightforward (supported hardware) project has thus far got me very confused. As a simple test for a slightly more complex GUI, I have just 2 screens which I am trying to navigate using the Joystick: 2 (DOWN) for navigating forward to screen2 and 4; (LEFT) for navigating back to screen1. The interaction for this is all correctly configured in TouchGFX Designer.  Of course, being 'Hardware button clicks'  additional external code is required in the relevant ScreenView *cpp and *hpp files which I have added via CubeIDE.  The project compiles without errors However, when flashed to the MCU the joystick does not have any effect whatsoever.I have investigated a little by looking at the structure of one of my previous projects using a (supported) H503RB and GFX01M2 which worked pretty much out of the box with full joystick useability.

I tried to follow exactly what was indicated in the following tutorial https://www.youtube.com/embed/JWOV4j5fCS4?cc_load_policy=1&autoplay=1&list=PL8n_tqwYdzVAd_OxaKnfxBrvcGwR8kSJo, but despite the serial port being connected, I am not receiving the data on the console that I send through the micro. What could be the cause? In the attached screenshots, you can find the settings and the code from main.c.

The OEMiRoT project uses ExitSecureMemory V1.1 to enable 1 MPU region and start the application. This automatically enables the configured HDP region, so application cannot access the bootloader. The default OEMiRoT project allows for 2 tiny 64kB applications, but I need >128kB for my application, so I added support for external SPI flash for the download location and removed unneeded data areas. My goal is to fit the bootloader in the first 64kB and have the application use the remaining 192kB. However, an MPU region located at 64kB offset cannot be larger than 64kB itself (offset multiple of size). From a security point of view the bootloader cannot enable anything outside its own scope, but given this limitation (pass a single region to be enabled) it cannot instruct the ExitSecureMemory function to allow all flash from 64kB-256kB to be accessed. In the documentation (like AN2606) I couldn't find if the application is still allowed to enable another MPU region to allow ex

Hi,I am using the STM32H563 with an ST7735S display and encountering a colour difference between TouchGFX and the display. How can this issue be resolved?ThanksMathan

To give a context:I'm working to implement OTA for an existing project which uses stm32f091xx.And it already contains separate bootloader(0x08000000) and application(0x08001000) with their own vector tables.Currently, when a reset occurs, the bootloader which is remapped to 0x0 will call the application at 0x08001000.Question:Both bootloader and application have their own vector table. But on the internet, I found that Cortex-M0 doesn't have a vector table offset.Just to know more about it, I tried to create a hard fault on the application and surprisingly, the hard fault is now in a location which is relative to the application and not the bootloader. This is map of the bootloader:HardFault_Handler 0x080000e3 Thumb Code 2 startup_stm32f0xx.o(.text)This is map of the application:HardFault_Handler 0x08002447 Thumb Code 2 stm32f0xx_startup.o(.text)Why is this working? I mean when I set a hard fault, it should go to 0x080000e3  but why it is going to 0x08002447? Can someone give m

Hi I am trying to send some CAN-bus messages from a STM32H723VGT6I am following this video to send standard CAN messages in external loopback mode (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXyzaaSk6Qs&t=568s&ab_channel=ControllersTech).The code seems to be working as I am using some blinking LEDs to monitor the sending and receiving of messagesHowever I tried to connect an oscilloscope to the bus to monitor the waves and I am not able to see the messages that are being sent from the boardTo make sure that my setup is working correctly I added another node to the bus and I am able to read its messages correctly (I made sure to have the bus resistance set to 60ohm)Do you have any idea why the board woud appear to be able to send and receive messages in external loopback mode but we only see radio silece with the oscilloscope? If I try to use Nomal mode instead I keep seeing nothing with the oscilloscope and after a couple of second the LED stops blinking and I get error 512

In the STM32H5 HAL, the file stm32h5xx_util_i3c.h was not included in the compilation list because it does not contain protection with the #if defined (USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER) flag, even though it uses the LL driver. This absence of protection results in a compilation error when the USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER flag is not defined.Steps to Reproduce:Attempt to compile a project that references stm32h5xx_util_i3c.h without defining USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER.Observe the compilation failure due to missing flag protection in the file.Suggested Solution:Add conditional compilation protection around the code in stm32h5xx_util_i3c.h using #if defined (USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER). This would prevent compilation issues when the full LL driver is not in use.

I have created a tensorflow model for image classification. STM32CubeMX 6.9.1 and IAR 9.32.1 on Nucelo_L476RGWhen enabling multi-threaded support for our FreeRTOS project in STM32CubeMX I am seeing builds of the binary that during startup (before reaching main) there are calls to __iar_system_Mtxlock() (dlib_lock_glue.c) before __iar_system_Mtxinit() and as the locks are not initialised, the system hangs in Error_Handler().Is there anything I need to do to do in startup for this to work correctly?

Hello everyone,We have already created a project with working display and other functionalities using stm32F746 discovery board. But, now we wish to switch to custom PCB board and use stm32f746BET6  MCU with custom LCD display from MIDAS i.e. 5000DRT which uses 24bit RGB LTDC pinouts. Currently I have changed the LTDC parameters according to the parameters in the datasheet but no matter what changes I make the LCD displays just blank white screen.I am currently using QSPI to store the touchGFX images and SDRAM for the framebuffer. We are using Single buffer approach and have verified that the framebuffer at the defined memory location (0xC0000000) has the correct framebuffer data using debugger. Please find the attached configuration images and LCD datasheet for your reference. Please guide me for what may be missing and where I am doing something wrong.Thankyou for your time and consideration.LCD frequency = 32 MHzP.S. :- The screen contains a red(0x0505FA) background box

Dear, My customer is looking for the STM32 MCU that can connect to wifi without using an antenna, has more than 33 GPIO (Digital Output) but not too many outputs and can operate stably in an industrial environment. Please advise the possible product. Thank you.BR,Suphachai

EDIT: Sorry I accidentally put this in the wrong topic.Hi,I am trying to bring up a board using a STM32MP135 and 256MB RAM (using one of these). I have followed the Wiki instructions to modify for 256MB RAM, and the project previously worked fine. Then I left it for maybe six months and come back to find the memory mapping has changed and now I am getting TZC errors right at "Starting Kernel ...".I'm using Buildroot with TF-A v2.8-stm32mp-r2, Optee-OS 3.19.0-stm32mp-r2, U-Boot v2022.10-stm32mp-r2, and Linux v6.1-stm32mp-r2. Full Buildroot tree.I have tried modifying CFG_TZDRAM_START in Optee, DDR_NS_, and, DDR_SEC_ properties in TF-A and I can generate even more memory errors, but this is as far as I can get. Can anybody point me in the right direction, or suggest some things to try? What happens right at "Starting Kernel"? As far as I know, U-Boot must be trying to put the Linux kernel in to protected memory but I cannot figure out why or where that is specified? Thanks for a

hello friends! Now a days i started working on TouchGFX for Waveshare's OpenH7XXI-C board and CoreH7XXI MCU. I interfaced 7 inch display, FMC SDRAM as bank 2 and W25Q128 QSPI. after configuring these peripherals i tested them manually by writing and reading data to them. After that i made custom external loader (.stld) to load TouchGFX assets into QuadSPI memory. i added this .stld file in CubIDE and when im trying to dump the code im getting follwing errors for External Loader.xPSR: 0x01000000 pc: 0xfffffffe msp: 0xfffffffc Info : Unable to match requested speed 8000 kHz, using 4000 kHz Info : Unable to match requested speed 8000 kHz, using 4000 kHz Info : Running loader function Init(0x0, 0x0, 0x0, 0x0) Error: failed erasing sectors 0 to 23 Warn : keep_alive() was not invoked in the 1000 ms timelimit. Hello, I am receiving data on my STM32F411E board via the I2C interface with the Mpu9255 IMU sensor. I get HAL_BUSY status in case of any power outage or re-debug.https://stackoverflow.com/questions/69912431/issue-in-the-i2c-communication-stm32-hal-libraryWhen I apply the solution mentioned here, the problem is not solved directly. Additionally, I have to press the Reset button on the card. If I do this solution every time the card is turned on, the HAL_BUSY situation occurs less frequently, but I have tested it many times and sometimes it gets into this situation again. Can I trigger the Reset button software for such situations? Unfortunately, the NVIC_SystemReset function did not work for me. I need your suggestions on this matter. Thanks.

Hi, I just want to make sure that it is possible Using STM32WLE5 SUBGHZ IN HIGH-POWER MODE (22 DBM) , higher frequency band , WITH THE INTERNAL LDO  ?   (without the internal SMPS ) I am asking because i see in the CUBE-MX under the tools tab that there is no option to select "high-power" when selecting "SMPS OFF"  Thank You,Viola

Hi,I cannot connect to the NUCLEO-WB05KZ with the CubeProgrammer. Also tried the "Under Reset" option, I'm always getting the same error message:" Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication"How can I perform a discovery using Debug Authentication?

I tried the following code in a STM32F107:RCC->AHBENR = RCC->AHBENR | RCC_APB2ENR_IOPBEN_Msk| RCC_APB2ENR_IOPDEN_Msk;and RCC->AHBENR = RCC->AHBENR | 0x00000008 | 0x00000020;When I display RCC->AHBENR, it always shows 0001C014.I expected to see 0x0001C03C.I found this because Ethernet never finished resetting.

I am trying to make a very simple SPI ISR to read the RXDR and store the value to a buffer. However, I cannot get the ISR to even trigger without using HAL_SPI_Receive_IT(). I do not want to use the callbacks or the default IRQ generated by cube. I currently just have the following in my ISR: void spiISR(SPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi){ if (__HAL_SPI_GET_FLAG(&hspi1, SPI_FLAG_RXNE)) { rxBuffer[rxIndex] = SPI1->RXDR; // Increment index and wrap around if necessary rxIndex = (rxIndex + 1) % RX_BUFFER_SIZE; __HAL_SPI_CLEAR_OVRFLAG(&hspi1); } } Since I don't want to use the generated IRQ I do this: void SPI1_IRQHandler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_IRQn 0 */ spiISR(&hspi1); return; /* USER CODE END SPI1_IRQn 0 */ HAL_SPI_IRQHandler(&hspi1); /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI1_IRQn 1 */ /* USER CODE END SPI1_IRQn 1 */ }  I have turned on the following:  MX_SPI1_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(SPI1_IRQn); __HAL_S

Posted on June 06, 2018 at 08:02I try also to use SWO printf (SWV, SWO viewer in ST-Link-Utility). It is not working. I am aware of this thread: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkWZQSA3/no-traceswo-output-on-stm32h7xxBut I tried step-by-step to use (configure, enable) the Debug infrastructure in the STM32H7 chip (e.g. configure Debug, ITM, force SWO signal to work ...). Nothing works. (it looks to me based on datasheet - you had to get familiar with something else, e.g. DBGMCU (which is not an ARM IP block, ARM TRM) I see in debugger, that the ITM_SendChar puts my characters into ITM FIFO (it looks as ITM enabled, FIFO is free). But nothing comes out (PB3 is floating). What I have realized: a) the PB3 (SWO) signal is floating, not driven (it works as GPIO, but not as Debug SWO signal, also pull-up is OK, BTW: there is a lot of noise on this signal!) b) the datasheet, manual <LINK NO LONGER ACTIVE> has a lot of of discrepancies (and incorrect information, e.g. re

Dear all,I'm now using stm8l15x to send 8 bits data with both UART1 & UART2. UART1 works fine & can communicate with my PC for both TX & RX via both polling & interrupt mode. But UART2 doesn't work. It doesn't output any waveform (always 1) with or without connecting to a PC. And the TC flag never set, where it set in UART1 after TX.I tried to use nop() loop to replace reading flag status. It still output nothing. nop() loop works fine for toggling GPIOI don't think it's a hardware problem as flag status should not be affected by hardware. Are there any other methods for me to debug?Attached please find some of my code void main(void) { // LED GPIO_Init(GPIOD, GPIO_Pin_5 | GPIO_Pin_4, GPIO_Mode_Out_PP_Low_Slow); // UART CLK_PeripheralClockConfig(CLK_Peripheral_USART1, ENABLE); CLK_PeripheralClockConfig(CLK_Peripheral_USART2, ENABLE); GPIO_ExternalPullUpConfig(GPIOC, GPIO_Pin_2, ENABLE); GPIO_ExternalPullUpConfig(GPIOE, GPIO_Pin_3, ENABLE); GPIO_Init(GPIOC,

I am using STM32H743VIT6 revision V.The processor is configured using the latest version of CubeMX.The program works with a debugger, but does not start without a debugger.I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Help me please.

[VERSION]: 6.3.1[TOOL]: Board Designer, Motor Pilot, MCSDK[DETAILS]: Created custom board based on IHM16M dev kit, using STM32G431RB + DRV8323. Motor Pilot cannot spin motor, but encoder signals look accurate, Vbus signal is accurate, and current sense signals look correct (albeit very low).[EXPECTED BEHAVIOR]: All pins of custom board match IHM16M dev kit. I am trying to spin the motor with Motor Pilot but the motor does not spin.  I can see pwm on the motor phases but no motor movementI double checked my pinout vs IHM16M dev kit:My custom board: IHM16M pinout with default project:             The motor driver circuit I'm using with the DRV8323 I've been using for over a year now so that circuit must work minimally as expected.  As I mention above the encoder seems to be working well.  And PWM seems to be happening but the motor is not spinning at all.I've tried changing gains to be much more aggressive but that doesn't seem

I'm using the VL43L4CX and with every measurement, I get the next range status: VL53LX_RANGESTATUS_RANGE_VALID_NO_WRAP_CHECK_FAILFrom the documentation, I can't find any indications of what to do in this case and how to solve it.From the code I see that this is set when wraparound check isn't performed. This is also visible because for longer distances 3m+ I get an offset with around 3m offset.I'm using the same code as in this example: https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img029.htmland I haven't changed any of the tuning parameters. How to address this and make the algorithm perform the wraparound check?
