I am currently working on a board designed around the STM32H725RGV6 and have encountered issues with it being recognised by STM32CubeProgrammer as I get the message "target not found" when connecting it to a STLINK-v3-minie. With my previous experience using H7 or F7 MCUs, they get pretty warm even while idling which mine does not.VDD is 3.3V and supplied from a LDO regulator, TPS73633. With the board fully populated except the bluetooth module, RN4871, I have verified that the MCU is receiving 3.3V through the VDD pins.I have also checked that BOOT0 is pulled low and NRST is pulled high.2 of the 3 VCAP pins have 2.2uF caps placed nearby and the third is connected to the other 2.I have used a multimeter and continuity tested the majority of the pins to their adjacent pins and GND to check for shorts. None were found. The board was assembled by JLC except for the MCU which I had to reflow myself. I had to reflow it 3 times until I was satisfied with how the joints looked. The board was a

Hello, I was trying to use RTC battery backup on a nucleo F446RET6.The problem was that the battery (CR2032) connected to VBAT tries (and can't) to power all the board.Looking to schematic diagram, I see that VBAT pin is connected to VDD thru SB45.Removing SB45 seems that all is working fine.Is there a reason for SB45 is there? Thanks

I'm starting to learn about low-level embedded development. My goal is to learn how I can write my own linker scripts and startup code. I also want to learn how to use raw register calls to do something useful. I want to use the NUCLEO-L011K4 board and tried reading through the reference manual to find register addresses and the expected values. For some reason, my minimal blinky (LED connected to PB13) app doesn't work. It flashes just fine, but the board does nothing after that. I am pretty sure (keep in mind: Still a newbie), that the registers are the right ones. However, I'm not so sure about the linker script. Here's my linker script:   MEMORY { FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 16K RAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 2K } ENTRY(main) __reset_stack_pointer = ORIGIN(RAM) + LENGTH(RAM); SECTIONS { .text : { LONG(__reset_stack_pointer); LONG(main | 1); /* The whole interrupt table is 332 bytes long. Advance to that position. */ . += 332; *(.t

I am able to use the demo code as is to send characters to TeraTerm but when I try to use scanf to get inputs from TeraTerm, i get nothing. when i debug the code, i see that the function doesn't for user entries and just go to next line in the code.  below is my C code snippet: /* Initialize COM1 port (115200, 8 bits (7-bit data + 1 stop bit), no parity */ BspCOMInit.BaudRate = 115200; BspCOMInit.WordLength = COM_WORDLENGTH_8B; BspCOMInit.StopBits = COM_STOPBITS_1; BspCOMInit.Parity = COM_PARITY_NONE; BspCOMInit.HwFlowCtl = COM_HWCONTROL_NONE; if (BSP_COM_Init(COM1, &BspCOMInit) != BSP_ERROR_NONE) { Error_Handler(); } /* USER CODE BEGIN BSP */ /* -- Sample board code to send message over COM1 port ---- */ printf("Welcome to STM32 world !\n\r"); /* Example code to use scanf for receiving input */ char user_input[100]; printf("Enter a message: "); scanf("%99s", user_input); // Reads a string from COM port into user_input printf("You entered: %s\n\r", use

Hi,I am trying to boot a signed TF-A image on my STM32m257f compiled with TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support (Compiled in f-a-stm32mp.inc recipe from meta-st-stm32mp, mickledore branche). When the board is powered up, i got this error:  NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP257FAI Rev.B NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics STM32MP257F-EV1 Evaluation Board NOTICE: Board: MB1936 Var1.0 Rev.C-01 NOTICE: BL2: v2.8-stm32mp2-r2.0(release):lts-v2.8.15-dirty(567af710) NOTICE: BL2: Built : 00:51:33, Jan 26 2024 NOTICE: TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support enabled ERROR: BL2: Failed to load image id 1 (-80)   I've already fuse my PKHTH with the stm32key command and my binary is signed with the right key. The board boots normally when I install a TF-A binary without TRUSTED_BOARD_BOOT support.Do you have any idea please? Thanks

Hello,I've migrated an application from STM32L496VG to STM32U595VJ.Pin A11 is used as capture input TIM1_CH4.With U5 device the input on PA11 couldn't reach full level at 3.3V. I have the same behavior with 5 MCUs STM32U595VJT6 and PA11 is connected directly with an external comparator output. Is there any special new function with this pin PA11 (USB stuff) that has to be switched off on U5 series first other than L4 series (e.g. in option bytes)? Here the input level on PA11 (reach only half level 1.6V and doesn't trigger the capture input):STM32U595VJT6_PA11_NIOOn PA10 (TIM1_CH3) input level is ok and also triggers capture input:STM32U595VJT6_PA10_IOThank you in advance for any ideas about this problem!

hi,I have successfully connected LTDC display(480x272) with STM32H723ZGT6 - RGB565 mode .I could able to image file from internal Flash Memory .I could able to Load Perfect colour from DMA2D by using. framebuffer in global level .uint16_t framebuffer[480*272]; HAL_DMA2D_Start(&hdma2d, 0x000FF000,(uint32_t)framebuffer, 480, 272); HAL_DMA2D_PollForTransfer(&hdma2d, 10); I could not able to transfer colour from SRAM to LTDC by using .for (int y=0; y<272; y++) { for (int x=0; x<480; x++) { framebuffer[y*480 + x] = 0xF800; } } Erratic fill Screen happening when i transfer data to frame buffer memory . Even i reduced the speed of LTDC and total clock but nothing worked out .DMA2D using same frame buffer memory and transferring register to Memory and working fine .

I'm trying to build a linux image for this target. I had successfully(after a lot of trial & error) flashed the target with the Starter package. For some strange reasons when doing the distribution package, I had to reinstall my VM and now I'm trying again this process. This is the data before downloadingThe problem is that the download process fails at this stage:It happens the same with the distribution package with an image I already built I can confirm the "usb gadget" is forwarded to the VM. Thanks a lot in advance :)

Hi, I'm using a STM32H7S78-DK board along with stm32cudeide 1.16.0. I'm loading the example LTDC_ColorKeyring which work fine, here is the issue... I'm trying to implement uart4 connected to the onboard ST-link. If I init MX_UART4_Init() and use HAL_UART_Transmit(), BEFORE MX_LTDC_Init(), it work fine. As soon as the LTDC is init, I cannot use the Uart at all. I don't see any pin conflict here... the uart4_tx is PD1 and is only connect to the VCP of the st-link.I'm evaluating the STM32H7S for business, but if I cannot get those two simple peripheral working together...thats a big flaw

there is nothing on  github.   there is initialization by SPI before the LTDC works is there a sequence like you initialize it first over SPI then MX_LTDC_Init() or it does not matter I do have the initialization code but I am missing something void SLGDP4571_Int(void) { SPI_WriteComm(0x20); SPI_WriteComm(0x3A); SPI_WriteData(0x70); SPI_WriteComm(0xB1); SPI_WriteData(0x10); SPI_WriteData(0x14); SPI_WriteData(0x06); SPI_WriteComm(0xB2); SPI_WriteData(0x00); SPI_WriteData(0xC8); SPI_WriteComm(0xB3); SPI_WriteData(0x11); SPI_WriteData(0xFF); SPI_WriteComm(0xB4); SPI_WriteData(0x10); SPI_WriteComm(0xB6); SPI_WriteData(0x08); SPI_WriteData(0x18); SPI_WriteData(0x02); SPI_WriteData(0x40); SPI_WriteData(0x10); SPI_WriteComm(0xB7); SPI_WriteData(0x00); SPI_WriteData(0x10); SPI_WriteData(0x01); SPI_WriteComm(0xC3); SPI_WriteData(0x04); SPI_WriteData(0x05); SPI_WriteData(0x04); SPI_WriteData(0x04); SPI_WriteData(0x01); SPI_WriteComm(0xC4); SPI_WriteData(0x22); SPI_WriteData(0

Hi i'm looking for datasheet and replacement of GP429. Can someone help please ?

Questions:1. How many STM32 families offer SAR 16-bit ADCs?2. Which MCU in STM32 family is the best choice for using SAR 16-bit ADC related project with the lowest cost? Thanks

Hi there ST team! I'm asking because I'm lost in all this process.I have a QT quick app developer in QT Creator. I've already followed a tutorial from QT and I was able to flash the app in the STM32MP157F-dk2 using QT Creator. Now, I want my target board to run an embedded Linux image, and the QT quick app to run in the user space of this distro.I already installed the STM32MPU Starter package and can confirm the target runs the demo app as expected. After this, I don't know how to continue. If I understand correctly, I need to:1. install the STM32MPU developer package from https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Developer_Package#Checking_the_prerequisites2. follow step 7.2 "Adding Linux user space application" from: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_cross-compile_with_the_Developer_Package#Adding_a_.22hello_world.22_user_space_example The problem is that step 7.2 mentions some folder that I don't know where it came fromcd <tag>/sources/<arm architecture>-<

I have a system in which the power source to the CAN transceiver interfaced to the on-chip CAN peripheral is common between multiple MCU's vis-a-vis a connector. I have experienced issues wherein if the connection is broken and then re-connected between the multiple nodes, upon reconnection I get an indefinite amount of CAN Error Interrupts firing due to Bit Dominant Errors. I perform the manual reset operation as proscribed in the reference manual (I have ABOM disabled):"If ABOM is cleared, the software must initiate the recovering sequence, by requestingbxCAN to enter and to leave initialization mode. Note: In initialization mode, bxCAN does not monitor the CANRX signal, therefore it cannot complete the recovery sequence. To recover, bxCAN must be in normal mode"However, resetting the peripheral does not reset the REC/TEC counters. To do so, I have seen a possible solution is to enter the peripheral into LOOPBACK mode and just receive frames from "myself" until the counters get low e

Hi there,I am configuring HRTIM TIMD to generate PWM which works as expected, roughly following the Synchronous Buck Converter example for the DPOW1 eval board (my target is the nucleo64).I use LL API calls instead of HAL calls for my project.  I have configured an interrup handler to service the JEOC interrupt before calling LL_ADC_INJ_ReadConversionData12()  (? - not even sure if this is correct).  I do not see my interrupt handler being called so either:a) ADC conversion is not being triggered, or,b) ADC conversion is triggered but interrupt JEOC isn't being generated. Can someone suggest a way of ruling out one or the other problem?  For example, is there a blocking LL API call that will allow reading of completed conversions?  Is there an example of this somewhere for reference? Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi, We have integrated the STWLC38 as receiver for our device. We want to know how to read the registers to know the status of charging, voltage and Current. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STWirelessCharging-C-Drivers/tree/main this gives patch update of firmware. We need configuration code as we are developing the firmware on Zephyr.

I am working with the NUCLEO-H563ZI, and I'm trying to write an application that verifies an ECDSA Certificate. I have already successfully done the verification using the  HAL_PKA_ECDSAVerif() function provided with all the parameters. My problem is that the public key that I get is in the compact form (I only have the X part and a bit to indicate which Y part to choose) so I have to calculate the Y part separately before running the verification. To get the Y part I must use the ECC curve function y = modular square root of (x^3 + a.x + b). The parameters are 192 bits long so I can't just directly calculate everything so I tried using the PKA Arithmetic function but I cannot get them to work. The function just gets stuck until timeout. With the HAL_MAX_DELAY it just stays stuck forever. Here is the code below: //Just a mockup of the actual code uint32_t number1[6] = {0x12345678, 0x9ABCDEF0, 0x13579BDF, 0x2468ACE0, 0x02468ACE, 0x13579BDF}; uint32_t number2[6]

Hello everyone,I'm trying to use the timer interrupt callback to modify the GATT characteristics and send out a notification (see code excerpt below). This only works once and after sending the message the timer no longer triggers and I no longer see any advertisements from my board. If I send the data via the USB-COM port, it works using the timer interrupt. So there seems to be something wrong with the IPCC but I don't know what it is and how I can fix it/get around it.  can someone help me ? Many Greetings,Andreas      /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); MX_USB_Device_Init(); MX_TIM16_Init(); MX_RF_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ static uint8_t cnt = 0; const uint8_t max_cnt = 255; void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { // Check which version of the timer triggered this callback if (htim == &htim16 ) { if (cnt % (max_cnt - 1) == 0) cnt = 0; uint8_t data[1]; memcpy(da

I am working on an STM32G483VET6 in my own hardware. I am trying to use TIM16 CH1 (pin PE0) to generate a PWM signal which drives a sounder. I believe that in early tests I verified that it was working but I was probably messing around manually with register values in the debugger. I therefore think that my initialisation code is wrong but I can’t see why.First of all, the pin is correctly connected; if I configure PEO as a GPIO output by setting the MODER bits for PE0 to 2 (output) and set PE0 high or low in the ODR, the output value gets to the sounder. So far TIM16 is running in PWM mode, I can see the CNT register running up to ARRand resetting but it the PE0 is tri-state when configured to be the output for TIM16_CH1.Rather than paste pages of code, these are the values in the relevant GPIOE and TIM16 registers I observe in the stopped debugger when I believe that PE0 should be driven by TIM16_CH1 but is tri-state:GPIOE registers Bits Value Comment MODER [0:1] 0x2 Alternate functi

I developed firmware with CUBE IDE and then set up the 2.4" TFT LCD screen with buttons, etc., using TOUCH GFX DESIGNER. How do I import what I developed in TOUCH GFX into CUBE IDE?

HiI have a custom pcb design with a lsm6dsv and lsm303agr. So far it is only streaming xyz coordinates.I need to come up with something like a rotating dice in this Video at minute 5:20 :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mV_L-KEMy0In fact i need to Show the orientation of human head and not a dice.Which Tutorial or example project do you recommend as starting point? Is it correct that with lsm6dsv the Gyro has a good Performance, so i dont even need the magnetometer for drift correction? Is lsm6dsv the right chip, or is a better pin compatible chip in the lsm6 family?

Hi all, I'm using a L6482H on a PCB with STM32F439VIT6 to drive a stepper motor. MCU and driver are connected via SPI. I have an issue with the GetStatus command; when the switch input on the L6482H is closed and the driver receives a GetStatus command, sometimes it moves the stepper motor to order to open the switch input. It does not move the motor everytime, but sometimes it happens. I tested this behaviour by repeatedly sending the GetStatus command with the switch closed (200 ms between every command). If the MCU send a MOVE command and ask the Status continously to test the "Busy" flag, the drive sometimes moves incoerently. It seems to happen when the Status is asked with the switch closed. Is there any relation between the GetStatus and the Switch input? I configured the drive to don't use the switch as "HARD STOP" interrupt (SW_MODE = 1 in CONFIG register) and the ALARM_EN mask the external switch condition   Thank you for the support.

Hi,     Is there a way to perform a wake-up interrupt using the LSM6DSO, based around gyroscopic data instead of accelerometer data?  thanks

Hi there STM team!I need to build a embedded Linux image for a STM32MP15 target. My application has a QT GUI already implemented. What is the best approach to create this image? I know OpenSTLinux exist but I don't fully understand what's the advantage, compared to doing everything from scrath in yocto. Thanks a lot in advance

Hi,I'm now evaluating STHS34FP80 on our original board.I've tried PMMA and BK7 glass for cover material but It seems not work well.Is there any proper material for STHS34PF80 cover? If you know the specific material name, please let me know. Thanks,
