Hey everyone!I'm trying to detect the rotations of my rotary encoder. I used external interrupts to detect when the state of the pin changes. My problem is that it seems like when the encoder bounces the interrupt gets triggered, but the state doesn't change. How can that be? The only thing I can think of is that when I read the pin with HAL_GPIO_ReadPin inside the interrupt it has already changed. Can that happen? I would assume that the contents of the IDR are locked while the interrupt is running, but I could find any information about this. Here is the minimal code from my project. uint8_t get_rotary_state() { GPIO_PinState A_state = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(ENCODER_A_GPIO_Port, ENCODER_A_Pin); GPIO_PinState B_state = HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(ENCODER_B_GPIO_Port, ENCODER_B_Pin); return (B_state << 1) + A_state; } uint8_t rotary_prev_state = 0; void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_pin) { if (GPIO_pin == ENCODER_A_Pin || GPIO_pin == ENCODER_B_Pin) { uint8_t rotary_current_stat

Hello, Actually am using STM32H5 board am able to load the secure manager using ST-Link Debugger but i would like to load the secure manager using usb dfu mode, is there any possiblity to load it.

I have this working keras model: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/544ma5tsndw3cjv8djem0/model.keras?rlkey=87845alu8vki9y81kb7tjgrab&dl=1 and I am trying to load it into X-CUBE-AI 8.1.0  When I hit Analyze I get this error: Neural Network Tools for STM32 family v1.7.0 (stm.ai v8.1.0-19520) E010(InvalidModelError): Couldn't load Keras model C:\[redacted]\model.keras, Error when deserializing class 'InputLayer' using config={'batch_shape': [None, 128, 173, 1], 'dtype': 'float32', 'sparse': False, 'name': 'input_layer_1'}. Exception encountered: Unrecognized keyword arguments: ['batch_shape']How can I solve this?

I am using STM32H7B3I-DK running a touchgfx application and acting as SPI Master, and Nucleo-H743ZI as SPI Slave. Both are configured in interrupt mode not using HWNSS. The Master is sending 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 but the slave is receiving random numbersI am sending one byte at a time and receiving one byte then adding it to a buffer. I want to avoid HAL overhead as much as possible as the data needs to be close to real time. The Master seems to send quickly enough using HAL_SPI_Transmit; however, the slave would only receive every other byte, hence the avoidance of HAL on the Slave side. The master is properly sending data, as checked by oscilloscope. I have double checked the compatible settings for Master-Slave communication in the .ioc files such as Data Size, First Bit, etc...Here is my following relevant code for the master:  hspi2.Instance = SPI2; hspi2.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi2.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi2.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASI

I am writing my own SPI driver, and using two B-L072Z-LRWAN1 boards to test them; one as an SPI master and one as a slave. On the master device, whenever I enable the SPE bit in the function SPI_Transmit(), it never actually sets to '1', even though the configuration registers are set to the programmed values. Why is this? Here is the initialization function for the slave device. I am using the HAL SPI handlers so I could debug the SPI registers: void SPI2_Init_Slave(SPI_HandleTypeDef * hspi) { /************** STEPS TO FOLLOW ***************** 1. Wait for the TXE bit to set in the Status Register 2. Write the data to the Data Register 3. After the data has been transmitted, wait for the BSY bit to reset in Status Register 4. Clear the Overrun flag by reading DR and SR ************************************************/ hspi->Instance = SPI2; if(hspi->Instance->CR1 & SPI_CR1_SPE) { SPI_Disable(hspi); } SPI_MspInit(hspi); //enable the clocks for the periphera

Hi,I am working on regression from RDP1 to RDP0 with OEM1KEY but made from inside and not by external debugger.I want  device to be able to make self unlocking. As I read in documentation RM0456, OEM1KEY unlock sequence requires:Shift OEM1KEY[31:0] then OEM1KEY[63:32] through JTAG or SWD in theDBGMCU_DBG_AUTH_HOST.Questions:1. Is it possible to do OEM1KEY unlock sequence (write DBGMCU_DBG_AUTH_HOST register) from firmware code ?2. Lets assume simpler scenario. OEM1KEY has been never programmed. Does it possible to do regression RDP1->RDP0 from internal Firmware ? I've got stuck on SET_BIT(FLASH->NSCR, FLASH_NSCR_OPTSTRT) and I had to make manual POR and manually change RDP level using debugger. Flash probably was erased.I've read the topicSolved: How to process RDP regression from appplication co... - STMicroelectronics Communitybut this topic doesnt answer on given questions!!! Movie on youtube also doesnt give the answers. Please explain it in details. Thanks

I'm trying to develop an AI model and integrate it into the STEVAL-STWINKT1B board to classify the noise of industrial engines. How do I implement the generated library in nano edge ai so that the board shows the classification by obtaining data from sensors in real time? I followed the steps in this documentation, but I was unsuccessful. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/AI:How_to_perform_anomaly_detection_using_FP-AI-MONITOR1

This is a question about programming style, preferences, efficiency, and risk.We are working on a state machine were multiple conditions are checked for a potential state transition. We are debating what is better, safer, more efficient, or simply more elegant: goto LABEL, or if else()  blocks?  The goto statement is simple, but if else() blocks are perhaps more robust in a team environment. See options 1 and 2 below. What do you recommend? Thanks!Option 1: if (condition_1 true){  [do something]  goto END_OF STATE;}if (condition_2 true)  [do something]  goto END_OF STATE;Option 2:if (condition_1 true)  [do something]else if (condition_2 true){  [do something]}

Hi I'm not very experienced with Zigbee, but I have a ZGPD power measuring device on my desk I'd like to get the data from. With a 802.15.4 sniffer i see he's asking for a channel (command 0xe3) within the first 5 minutes after startup. He's also broadcasting data (ZGP stub NWK header data) every 5 seconds, I guess some kind of commissioning request. I've never seen any kind of response from my WPAN coordinator server sample running on STM32WB55.Is it possible to handle this devices with the current WPAN middleware? Couldn't find any samples.Best regardsArmin see also: Green Power Device cluster missing in CubeMX ?

Hello everyone,Is there an example project available to make the ST25R95 on the X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 shield work with the NUCLEO-G071RB?

Hi, https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/configuring-ppp-on-stm32f407disc-with-lte-modem-via-usart-using/m-p/728673#M262741 This continues the previous thread discussing the PPPoS implementation for the STM32F407. I successfully established a PPP connection and obtained an IP address. However, my ICMP ping to Google did not receive a successful response. Please check the code snippet below for any necessary changes.   void PPPosClientThread() { osSemaphoreWait(pppos_mutex, PPPOSMUTEX_TIMEOUT); pppos_task_started = 1; osSemaphoreRelease(pppos_mutex); int gsmCmdIter = 0; int nfail = 0; printf("GSM: Starting Modem thread\r\n"); char* data = (char*) malloc(BUF_SIZE); char PPP_ApnATReq[sizeof(CONFIG_GSM_APN) + 24]; sprintf(PPP_ApnATReq, "AT+CGDCONT=1,\"IP\",\"%s\"\r\n", CONFIG_GSM_APN); cmd_APN.cmd = PPP_ApnATReq; cmd_APN.cmdSize = strlen(PPP_ApnATReq); //_disconnect(1); // Disconnect if connected // FOR testing osSemaphoreWait(pppos_mutex, PPPOS

Hi ST,I wanted to validate/confirm our Calibration procedure.  When we calibrate prior to calibration we set timing budget and intermeasurement to what they are normally when our code boots up.  So,  during calibration we do the same.  Can someone please confirm this is the correct procedure? Meaning,  should we set TimingBudget, InterMeasure, ROI and ROI Center to "anything" prior to running calibration or are we correct in how we are doing this. .....VL53L1X_SetTimingBudgetInMs(33);VL53L1X_SetInterMeasurementInMs(40);VL53L1X_SetROI(4, 4);VL53L1X_SetROICenter(191);status = VL53L1X_CalibrateOffset(TargetDist, &Offset);..... Thanks,Will

I wonder, if it is possible to build a Zigbee Green Power Proxy and ZGP Sink with the STM32_WPAN v1.0.I couldn't find any documentation neither any source code samples.I did find some hints about Zigbee Green Power:1. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:Zigbee_certification_process:2. In STM32CubeIde:I also tried to call Zgp functions found in zigbee.zgp.h like ZbZgpDeviceServerAlloc() or ZbZgpDataReqCallback(), but I got a linker error "undefined reference". Seems these functions are not provided by the library. So I'm not sure can I achieve the goal I try to with the tools I use.If someone (ST employee) could answer my question, it would save me a lot of time.Armin

Hi All,I'm having a terrible (fun) time trying to get the DP83848 to work with the STM32H743 (RMII).No packets, no interrupts, nothing. - it's just dead to the world.I can get things working with the LAN7842 and I can get the DP83848 working with the F7 series no problems.I have tried everything I can think ofPlayed around with different SRAM  and MPU configs - all set up correctly I  think (as per LAN7842 etc)I've tried importing the DP83848 stuff from the F7 HAL librariesI've modified the LAN7842 headers to 'work' with the DP83848tried countless examples and ideas from this forumspent nearly all week on it!I read the excellent post " How to create a project for STM32H7 with Ethernet and LwIP stack working" byfrom @Adam BERLINGER where he states the followingunfortunately when LAN8720 is used in REF_CLK_OUT mode (RMII clocks generated by PHY), the timing is not compatible with STM32H7. In that case the RXD output hold is 1.4ns minimum on PHY side, while STM32H7 requires at l

Hello there. I am working on STM32G030 based FW. It appeared the TIM1x_CH1N doesn't work. I found out this part of code doesn't initialize negative channel(stm32g0xx_hal_tim.c). Moreover it may skip all channels configurations. It seems to be a hard coded part that initializes only positive channel with defined CxP and CxN options if so it really skip user predefined ones.    Could you fix this issue and update HAL driver sources?   Thank you in advice.

We are having issues with the VL53L4CD Time of Flight Sensor. The sensor works properly after initialization, but after some measurements it starts having problems. It either stops ranging or returns a ranging result similar or equal to the previous one, while returning data ready TRUE and ranging OK (Results status 0).  Here's a description of what happens when the sensor still ranges but gives wrong results (second case):- We take an initial ranging (distance from an object)- We move the sensor away from the object- We ask for a ranging: the result is similar or equal to the initial measure.- Now we move the sensor away again- We ask for a new ranging: the result is the one we expect after the first movement. Some detailed info:- The sensor initialization is copied from the "ranging basics" example attached with the drivers.- We changed the interrupt to active high by changing the value of register 0x30 in VL53L4CD_DEFAULT_CONFIGURATION (VL53L4CD_api.c)- We se

Greetings Sir/Mam,I have some questions about STM32 MCU Chips. Sir/Mam, I want to know if the STM32 MCU Chip Programming is possible, you may view the video on- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndEeFQ5mi_g&t=106s  , to get about my question. Sir/Mam, I have- STM32U595RJT6Q MCU, it would be very helpful if you could please tell if Chip Programming of this product(s) is possible, and if possible, which Application Notes, Manuals are required for doing it, also, if I design the Breakout Board for this MCU, then is it possible to program it using STM32 Development Board with any MCU or we require the specific Development Board with this specific MCU only, and if their is any other very critical & essential thing(s) to keep in mind while doing all this, if anything among them is possible. Thanking You, ANKUR.

I had debugging problems with a H7 target, and by stepping thru the boot process I found the following line in SystemInit(): /* * Disable the FMC bank1 (enabled after reset). * This, prevents CPU speculation access on this bank which blocks the use of FMC during * 24us. During this time the others FMC master (such as LTDC) cannot use it! */ FMC_Bank1_R->BTCR[0] = 0x000030D2; At this stage of the boot process, the FMC power is not enabled, and thus reading or writing the register has no effect. Am I overseeing something or is this line for confusion?

Hello. I'm using EVM board with STM32F407ZGT.I set up the USB as below to use it as a USB Device. (CDC)But only one COM port can be found in the device manager on the PC.I want to know if I can't set 2 usb device or if it's a problem with setting. Please help me!!

When I tried to open the declaration, to see how function works, STM32CUBE IDE does not automatically open the respective .c files in which function declarations exist.Could you pls point me to the right direction ?

All my code works on RTOS.When I enable D-Cache，fs_mount() from FATFS on SD card returns FR_NO_FILESYSTEM，SD card can not work. When I disable D-Cache, fs_mount() returns FR_OK, SD card can write and read. But at the same time , i need to use Ethernet on my device . When I close D-Cache, my Ethernet can not work. How can I resolve these two conflicting issues？

这是我烧录成功的画面，连接上stlink后板子的LD4是红绿交替闪烁的。烧录成功也是一样，板子没任何变化。程序是没有问题的。串口没任何输出。This is the picture of my successful burning, and the LD4 of the board flashes red and green alternately after connecting to ST-Link. The same is true for successful burning, and there is no change in the board. There is no problem with the procedure. The serial port does not have any output.Translated using Google Translate by Community team.

Hi, I am using STM32h735g-dk development board, STM32CubeProgrammer and ST link to flash the development board. I tried to flash program the development board using the ST link and STM32CubeProgrammer. Once, it got programmed, but after some time, I tried to program the same board again using the USB cable with the onboard ST link programmer; it did not get programmed. Now its giving me this below error in STM32 Cube Programmer and its not getting connected."15:56:35 : UR connection mode is defined with the HWrst reset mode15:56:40 : ST-LINK error (DEV_USB_COMM_ERR)15:56:40 : Error: Problem occurred while trying to connect" Checked on the device manager, and there on ports "board is not getting detected" but is showing me on the Universal Serial bus devices. Screen shot attached below for your reference. And check on STM32 Cube IDE, here also the same issue is "No device found". Kindly let me know, what would be the issue and please revert me back if there are any add
