Hi,I am using a custom board based on P-NUCLEO-WB55 and started working from the example code BLE_p2pServer. The board will normally be in stop2 mode and will check for pushbutton press every 1 second. The current consumption is around 10 uA in this state. If push button is pressed for 3 or more seconds. The board enters the BLE mode. It is advertising the packets for a set time of 5 minutes. After 5 minutes I am exiting from the while loop. I am trying to stop the BLE mode and go to stop2 mode and continue the previous operation. Once i enter the BLE mode and exit out of BLE mode the current consumption is now 100uA. All other functionalities are working properly. If I press the push button for 3 seconds, The board enters BLE and starts advertising. I am trying to find out what is causing this increase in current. I don't want to reset the board every time I enter BLE mode. This is the following procedure I am using to exit out of BLE mode. hci_reset

Hi all,I'm trying to set up a new STM32H750 project. I've created quite a few projects using CubeMX in the past, so I'm familiar with the process. However, now I'm trying to start up a STM32H750 project, and I've very quickly run into an issue. In the Clock Configurator, some of the PLL settings are greyed out (DIVR1, DIVP2, DIVP3, DIVR3) and I can't edit them. I have HSE enabled, and have PLLCLK configured, but I don't know what else I might be missing. I'm using the latest STM32CubeMX (6.14.1) Can someone point out what I'm doing wrong?

Is there a reason and fix for why some MCUs chosen in the "MCU/MPU Selector" of STM32CubeMX start a project without issue but some fail with a message dialog?"Can't create [MCU part#] [package type] Project: error when loading [MCU part#].xml file"For me, "STM32C051C6Tx LQFP48" fails in this way. But "STM32C031C6Tx LQFP48" loads perfectly fine. Two machines, one Linux host, the other WSL, each running STM32CubeMX v6.11.1.

Dear ST community,I noticed that the CRC API is forcing the input buffer to be aligned 32 bits, which can be understood in order to be generic, but in the majority of the case we have a byte buffer which could be stored in unaligned in the memory or it's taken from frame where storage address is unaligned, till now it's not a problem we can cast (uint32_t *) and everything should work, except the case where the core of STM32 is Cortex M0 or M0+ so unaligned access is not supported and will lead to hard fault if the InputDataFormat is not selected to be CRC_INPUTDATA_FORMAT_BYTES .In my opinion the exposed API with forced aligned buffer can be an error prone, there is for sure a lot of workaround that can be applied but I could prefer to add to the API CRC_Handle_8 and CRC_Handle_16 to the exposed API, with that it will solve immediately the problem and remove any usage ambiguity.Maybe I'm wrong and I miss something.Best regardsBassem Taamallah

Hello.   I'm using SPC58NH-DISP, and trying to debug using AEK-MCU-SPC5LNKU(debugger) and UDE Starterkit 5.02.04. When I power on SPC58NH-DISP and check if USB driver is installed properly, I can find SPC58NH-DISP works fine and "PLS USB Serial Port" in Windows Device Manager. However, the following error message occurs. <error message> Message from component 'UDEDebugServer' :Unable to establish connection . To correct the situation, check configuration file entries and try again. Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :Can't connect target ! Message from component 'PpcJtagTargIntf' :No JTAG client found !Please check:- target power supply- JTAG cable connection- target configuration   It seems like the error occurs due to wrong target configuration. I'm curious about where the menu for target configuration is in UDE Starterkit and how to modify the target configuration for SPC58NH-DISP.   Thank you.

Good morning everyone, I have been trying for two days now to perform a communication between the two cores of STM32H747I-DISCO. Being my first time to try my hand at dual core Processors I decided to start from tutorials:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLcULDnF5ic- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miUzjoe3rAo&t=561s (Also the precendent videosAlthough I followed these tutorials step by step (without even changing the names to the variables) I could not get it to work at all.I then also tried with the "PingPong" example directly from STMCubeIDE but with both RTOS and bareMetal versions it didn't work...The only thing I can think of is that maybe I need to move some jumpers on the board or something....Thanks in advance to everyoneP.S.FW H7 Version 1.12.1STMCubeIDE Version 1.18.0STMCubeMX Version 6.13.0Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

Hallo, the information written on rtcbackup register, is retained when micro is powered off?Or the information will be lost?

I have been working on an application with multiple DMA channels and timers.  For some reason, STM32CubeMX doesn't have the proper drop-down options for TIM15_CH2 in the DMA channel configuration. All the other timers and channels appear to configure properly:Here is the generated code.  My fix/workaround is shown in RED, while the code generated by STM32CubeMX is in GREEN:Luckily, we do have the work-around, but the problem has become relatively annoying.  Thank you in advance.

Hello, I have seen in the post That many users had a problem with the LDO power supply for STM32H757ZII wanted to ask, can you confirm that I have a correct implementation of the power supply for LDO?

It's still available in the PCC section, for the User section table for the modes: Post created from a comment on this post: Meaning of IP in STM32CubeMX - STMicroelectronics Community

Hi,I can't debug my STM32WB09. I can execute a few lines (it's not a specific number, it may be random), and then CubeIDE throws the following error and disconnects from the board. The board is based on the Nucleo-WB09KE (NUWB09KE$CR1). Below, I’m attaching an image of the adapted board and another image of the error. I’m also including the project zip file. The project itself isn’t particularly complex, other than the addition of a .c file to handle the data generated for BLE transmission. Please, if you can help or guide me in debugging the project, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi,We designed a custom board that includes the STM32WB09KE microcontroller. We're working with a BLE middleware, and when I try to run the code, it doesn't go past the line LL_RCC_RC64MPLL_IsReady() during the clock configuration in SystemClock_Config().As far as I know, the code should work, since it runs correctly on the Nucleo-WB09KE (NUWB09KE$CR1). Below is a photo:If I don't enable the PLL64M, the code runs fine and I can, for example, make an LED blink. However, I lose the RADIO functionality, which is essential for my project.I'm also including the main.c code atached, along with a physical photo of how the microcontroller is currently "wired up".

Hi,I'm using a 2MB flash version of STM32U585x MCU and noticed that when the bank swap bit is set in OB, the wrong page will be erased if I edit flash using the "Memory & file editing". It seems like the page to be erased doesn't take the bank swap bit into consideration. To elaborate a bit: If bank swap is disabled and I edit some memory at e.g. 0x08006000, it will correctly erase page 3 before writing the new data. But if I have bank swap bit set, and edit the memory at 0x08006000 it will still erase page 3 before writing even though it should be erasing page 3+128 since it's this page that is now available at 0x08006000.This had me very confused before I understood what was happening.

Hi folks.I am trying to optimize (by time) the following piece of code. for (uint32_t i = 6 + adc_data_index; i < 35 + adc_data_index; i++) { raw[0] += (adc_data[i]); raw[1] += (adc_data[i + 35]); raw[2] += (adc_data[i + 70]); raw[3] += (adc_data[i + 115]); }For now it takes 3.5 micro-second at 250 MHz clockI want to make it less by at least factor of 2.Do you have any ideas?What I tried:1. Change the optimization to be -Ofast2. Using pointer3. Also, thought about FMAC and DFSDMHow can I achieve that?ThanksYonatan

Hi,I am working with a custom board with the STM32L431CCU6 mcu. The bord consist of the mcu and 2 i2c units and one SPI.The board also has pin headers for BOOT0, SWDIO and SWCLK.Sory for paint... I am using the CubeIDE and a ST-LINK V2for programming the board and have successfully programed Blink on it. This was not problem free however since my coputer sometimes did not recognised the ST-LINK and sometimes failed to upload. Unfortuanatli I do not remember those errors in details. After succesfully uploading a program for i2c communication I could not program the board any more. The error i receive from the IDE is:STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server. Version 7.9.0 Copyright (c) 2024, STMicroelectronics. All rights reserved. hi im using stm32g474vet6 mcu , im using spi in dma mode of both tx and rx and made dma in circular mode.what happens means when i start a first tx or rx itself spi clk is coming continuously. what to do , it is due to circular mode.if (send_spi_cmd == 1){send_spi_cmd = 0;HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA(&hspi3, ADS_TX_NULL, ads_rx_buff, 1);} if u see this code im just enabling in debug mode one time onlym the spi clk starts generating continuously. what to do for this this spi clk should generate during bus activity only right. can someone suggest it is due to circular mode or what

Hello everyone, I am currently working with the VL53L8CX sensor to explore solutions for a specific use case. In particular, I am trying to detect glass material using the CNH (Compacted Normalized Histogram) data—more about this can be found under the topic: Artificial Intelligence Enabler .From my research, I understand that the sensor generates a total of 121 histogram bins. However, due to constraints such as memory limitations, only 18 or 24 bins can be accessed, depending on the configuration used.I started by configuring the sensor to retrieve the first 24 bins and set the subsample value to "1", so that each bin corresponds to a single zone. Then, I attempted to determine the first significant return using an interpolation algorithm I found online. According to the documentation, I multiplied the resulting value by 3.75 to obtain the actual distance.def interpolate_bin(signal_values, ambient_light_level): for i in range(len(signal_values) - 1): if signal_values[i] &

Hello, So I'm tackling a DMX512 project using an STM32G0C1CE with Zephyr OS v4.1.0 and I'm running into a bit of a snag with detecting the BREAK and Mark After Break (MAB) signals to start receiving the DMX slot data via USART. I've already tried a couple of things: Using the framing error detection, but that didn't seem to work out. Since I only have the USART3_RX pin available at PB11, I tried configuring it as a GPIO input to catch the BREAK and MAB using a GPIO interrupt. After detecting them, I switched it back to USART_RX mode. This allowed me to see the BREAK and MAB, but I couldn't reliably grab the subsequent DMX slot data within the USART interrupt. Code: #include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <zephyr/kernel.h> #include <zephyr/device.h> #include <zephyr/devicetree.h> #include <zephyr/sys/util.h> #include <zephyr/sys/printk.h> #include <zephyr/shell/shell.h> #include <zephyr/logging/log.h> #include <ze

2 Figure 3What I want to understand is:What is the correct value to set for “Delay between 2 sampling phases” to achieve ideal interleaved sampling with evenly spaced samples?

Hello,I'm using in my projects with ports PA10,PA11 (for Logs - uart), and PB14 and PB15 as normal GPIO.They didn't works. After long troubleshooting.... I found out that is because these ports are supply separately by the VDDUSB pin which was disconnected.I couldn't find the reason in the datasheet, I'll be happy to understand the construction and the reason.

Hi,I'm working with the LIS2DW12 accelerometer in a low-power IoT application. The sensor is configured to wake the MCU via an interrupt on INT1, connected through a monostable multivibrator (Schmit trigger IC). The setup is designed so that a rising edge on INT1 triggers a reset of the MCU.Here’s the issue:When the MCU wakes from a previous interrupt (caused by actual motion), it starts reinitializing the LIS2DW12 — performing a soft reset and reconfiguring the registers into polling (standard) mode. Then, after some time in polling mode, if no motion is detected, the program switches the LIS2DW12 back into interrupt mode.At this point, the INT1 pin briefly goes high, creating a glitch pulse even though the system is stationary. This unexpected edge triggers the monostable multivibrator, which in turn resets the MCU — essentially creating a loop. This behavior is not acceptable for my use case. What I’ve tried:Delaying the CTRL4 write until after all other registers are configured (CTR

Hi.i am having a STEVAL-IDP005V1, STEVAL-UKI001V1, 10-pin-IDP005V1 Cable, M12female connector.i am referring this document ( https://www.st.com/resource/en/product_presentation/steval-bfa001v1b_quick_start_guide.pdf ) i am not able to connect the board to my PC.  please anyone suggest me to do the analysis of accelerometeris that any clear document? Thank you

EDIT: it's not the STM32, see latest postHeyho,I have some custom miniature PCBs here, the unholy combination of a super-high-impedance-low-noise amplifier (going to a low noise audio input with 24bit ADC, spectra below from that one) and a STM32L031 on another PCB.Both circuits share the same ground and power supply.Actually, I didn't expect the analog part to be that good (shielding issues), so I was greatly annoyed when all got worse when adding the PCB with the MCU.I already got the noise down by not using the CPU sleep mode: the timer interrupt frequency of 10 kHz was clearly visible in the spectrum, seemingly due to powering the CPU up and down. Now the noise doesn't change, no matter which peripherals I turn on or off - and even in hardware reset (NRST grounded) there are the same noise spikes at around 4 kHz (and harmonics) on the analog signal.Noise is only about -80 dBV = 100 µV, but I'd like to find out where that comes from - even with the MCU in reset. Here are some scr

We are currently developing a demo product using the STM32MP257F-DK board. We have flashed the firmware using the file .images\stm32mp25-disco\flashlayout_st-image-core\optee\FlashLayout_emmc_stm32mp257f-dk-optee.tsvHowever, we found that the USB DRD port (CN15) is not being recognized.Upon checking the device tree source in the kernel, we observed that the USB3DR functionality appears to be controlled via , suggesting that an MCU may be required for this functionality.i2c_rpmsgWe would like to confirm the following:Is the USB3 Dual Role (USB3DR) OTG feature dependent on the Cortex-M33 MCU for proper operation? Is it possible to enable and test the USB3DR OTG function without involving the MCU, especially if our goal is to minimize power consumption? Can the CC (Control Channel) pins be handled purely on the A7 side, or is MCU intervention mandatory for proper role detection and control? What is the correct way to enable and test USB OTG functionality on the STM32MP257F-DK board

Hello all, I recently purchased a Nucleo H503 board to experiment with. The board itself works just fine, but I've been having trouble getting it to work with the VSCode STM32/cortex-debug plugin. I just want to emphasize that using CubeProgrammer, I can connect to the board just fine and I was able to flash my test firmware that way. I also tried an ST-LINK V3SET that I borrowed from work, which also functioned just fine using CubeProgrammer. When I try to debug the board using VSCode, I just get an error about not being able to connect to the target. Below is the launch.json I created for my project.   { "version": "0.2.0", "configurations": [ { "name": "Cortex Debug", "cwd": "${workspaceFolder}", "executable": "./build/h503dk.elf", "request": "launch", "type": "cortex-debug", "runToEntryPoint": "main", "servertype": "stlink", "gdbPath": "C:/arm-toolchain/bin/arm-none-eabi-gdb.exe", "serverpath": "C:/ST/STM32CubeCLT_1.16.0/STLink-gdb-server/bin/ST-LINK_gdbserver.exe"
