I am trying to configure the HS OTG port on the STM32H747I-DISCO dev board, but setting "Use external vbus" seems to be not enough. I can measure 0.8V on the CPEN line (measured from R11) but I don't see anything on the OUT line of the voltage switch (measured from the positive terminal of C7) and LD7 does not turn on. Is 0.8V the expected output voltage for CPEN? I do not see a value for TYP on the USB3320C-EZK datasheet. Is there more configuration I am missing?

Hi,we're working with the ST25R3918-AQWT in a design that's powered by a CR2054 coin cell. We're trying to minimize the peak current draw through the NFC coil since right now we're seeing about a 500mV droop on VBAT during our NFC read. We've already configured the output resistance to the highest setting but we're still seeing peak current spikes that are higher than we’d like. Our main concern is an effective reduction in battery life if the voltage droops enough to brown out the ST25R3918 whenever the field turns on. Are there any other settings or hardware design choices we can make to reduce the total energy used during an NFC read? Additional information:Our overall field-on time is 10msec. We believe this is about as fast as we can make an NFC transactionOn our application, the NFC tag is a fixed distance from the ST25R3918. Currently we have about 2-3x more range than we need. We already have about 1200uF of capacitance on VBAT to help with this voltage droop iss

I was reading this conversation and found the comment about an example showing support of Audio Class with USBX and ThreadXhttps://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-embedded-software/has-anyone-managed-to-get-a-usbx-audio-device-working-on-stm32/m-p/112225/highlight/true#M5290For some reason, the example is disappearedIs there a reason on why it has been deleted? Is there a way to get it?

Hi, I am using STM32G0B1KC ad usb device. I will show you all the conficuration for USB_DRD_FS and USB_DEVICE middleware.I am using the internal HSI48 for the USB clock. When I connect the device to my PC, the device is not recognized. Can anyone help me?Thank you

Hello everyone, I'm working on a BLDC motor project that drives an overhead (tilting) door using the STDRIVE101 gate driver, configured via MC Workbench. The power stage uses STL110N10F7 MOSFETs, and the motor supply voltage is 24V.PWM switching frequency is set to 20 kHz. :collision: Issue I'm facing unexpected triggering of the VDS (Short Circuit) protection, especially: Right at motor startup When I disable and then re-enable the VDS protection while the motor is running, the fault is immediately triggered :gear: Current configuration: VSCREF = 1.32 V → so VDSth = 1.32 V Digital Filter Duration = 111.11 ns SW Dead-time = 800 ns Charge Boot Capacitor = 10 ms / Duty = 0% PWM frequency = 20 kHz MOSFETs: STL110N10F7 Startup current: around 5 A DT/Mode pin is tied to GND → meaning fixed internal dead-time is selected (per datasheet) CP pin is also tied to GND → bootstrap auto-recharge is disabled I also measured that the FAULT signal remains active for ~10 ms aft

Hi everyone,I'm currently working with the ST25R3916B NFC reader IC and I have a few questions regarding the XTI and XTO pins as well as the MCU_CLK output. From the datasheet, I understand that:XTI is the input and XTO is the output of the internal crystal oscillator circuit. The oscillator is designed to operate with a 27.12 MHz external crystal. Now, here’s what I’d like to confirm:Is the external 27.12 MHz crystal absolutely required for normal operation, or is there an internal oscillator that can be used as a fallback?Regarding the MCU_CLK output: this seems to be a clock signal derived from the oscillator. Is this optional? It is used to clock an external microcontroller (e.g. STM32)? Do I have to use it? Many STM32 MCUs already have decent internal oscillators. Are there any recommended crystal components (specific part numbers or manufacturers) that are known to work well with this IC?Any clarification or insights from those with experience using the ST25R3916B would be greatly appr

I am using custom STM32G4 board and generated code using the MCSDK 6.2.0. Hello, I'm using STEVAL-SMARTAG2. In the future I want to design my own PCB with  ST25DV64KC and STM32L4P5-CGU6. But for now I want to create my own program and try it on STEVAL-SMARTAG2.If I import example project in CubeIDE and complie it, It works fine.If I want to create my own project and include libraries I get an errors during compiling. So, I did the following:- start new project in CubeIDE and select "STEVAL-SMARTAG2"- set inputs/outputs as default (press OK when pop-up window ask me if i want to keep it)- middleware/software package... download and select FP-SN-SMARTTAG2- define platform settings (picture below)- save and run the compiler and get an errors (picture below)It looks like I miss something? Also in my further project I don't need to use all the sensors on the protoboard. I just want to use NFC-V and powering tag with energy harvesting. Thank you for your time.

Hello,I am trying to upload the user firmware using BFU(1 slot) and Linux minicom, it always failed to complete to transfer a UserApp.sfu. I have read the UM2767 and followed all steps. But it works well on Windows Tera Term.I am testing on both of Nucleo55 eval board and custom board and using STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0(SBSFU version 2.4.0), not succeed.I have looked for the similar issues, couldn't get the workaround. There are some similar issues:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000HMk4nSAD/for-sbsfu-v240-send-firmware-file-by-linux-minicom-ymodem-failedhttps://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000Eba1XSAR/download-firmware-by-ymodem-failed-at-linuxLast article tells me this issue would be fixed in SBSFU v2.4.0, but I am failing. This is what I've done:defined MINICOM_YMODEM in app_sfu.hErase flash and upload the BFU.binset minicom 115200bps, 8N1, HW flow control: None.ymodem protocol setting:+------------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Nam

Hello, we are using Stellar SR6 controller in a customer control unit. We have received SDK v 4.4.1. But this does not contain the SENT Driver.  I had also downloaded the latest StellarStudio v7.2 from the ST website. This consists of drivers only for SR5E1. Is there any newer SR6 SDK that includes SENT driver? Or could I download it from the ST website myself? Also, is the SR5E1 SENT driver compatible with the SR6 SENT peripherie? Appreciate any response to my queries above.  Thanks!

Hello, how is everyone doing ? I am making this post because I just received a Riverdi STM32 Embedded display for my last ever studying project, as I will use it to replace 7-seg, buttons and keybord. I made a simple connection for the power supply (I soldered two wires on the connector, to avoid cutting the given cable, as I want to use it later in the final version of my project. My problem is that when I turn on the power, the screen switches on but only displays a black screen at maximum brightness. I tried reseting the device with the back button, and also created a simple TouchGFX project to display a png image and the memory flash of the microcontroller with ST-Link v2 works fine but once the flash is done, the screen goes back to the very bright black screen state. I have made some research but have not found anything interesting, so I make this post hoping that someone already had this issue or has a solution. In the meantime I have also contacted Riverdi, but I want

Hi all. I'm coding an app in C# that uses the ST25R3916DISCOComm.dll native methods to access a ST25DV04 tag. I have got many things working, including bing able to read the tag memory passively, and some complex protocols using the Mailbox mode. However, the one thing I can't get working is passive write to tag memory.Below is a debug log of my process.wait for a tag in the field and get its UID. [lines 1..3]Read the entire tag memory using iso15693ReadBlock() in a for loop [lines 5..7]Present the password to unlock user area 1 [lines 9..13]. This appears to work and doesn't return an error.Attempt to write a single block of memory to block 79 (0x004f) with value [x12,x34,x56,x78] [lines 15..19]. This is using the iso15693TxRxNBytes() method. The command packet looks correct to me based on the data sheet and other commands in a similar format in the log, but I'm getting back no received data and a "No Memory" error code. Any ideas what I'm missing?Debug log:21/05/2025 15

Hi We are developing a product that uses an STM32 microcontroller. In the microcontroller’s firmware, we have implemented a password that the user must enter at startup. If the user forgets the password, how will the program run? (Note: No software or hardware fallback has been implemented for this issue, and the source code is not accessible.)

I'm working on sensor data transfer via BLE to mobile app (like nrf connect). My STM32WB board gets connected with the app, but the data is not transmitted. When I give functions in the main while loop for transmitting, it stop the device advertisement at mobile app. How to transfer the data to mobile app? I need to send continuous sensor data to mobile app.I've also tested timer function as well. But still, it's impossible for me to transfer the data. I'm attaching the image of mobile app connection, there you can see that the value is 0. There, I need sensor data to be printed. Can anyone help me to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance!

Will STM32H743BIT6 support only OTG_HS mode? Will it support normal USB operations by disabling OTG option? If yes which pin will control that functionality?

I followed the steps in the link below and then ran main.py, but I encountered the following error. I don’t know how to resolve it. I also set the BOOT0 and BOOT1 switches on the board, but I still get the same result. https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32ai-modelzoo-services/blob/main/object_detection/deployment/README_STM32N6.md (st_zoo) C:\Users\wwnso\Desktop\STM\stm32ai-modelzoo-services\object_detection\src>python stm32ai_main.py --config-path ./config_file_examples/ --config-name deployment_n6_ssd_mobilenet_v2_fpnlite_config.yaml 2025-03-14 02:35:59.704524: W tensorflow/stream_executor/platform/default/dso_loader.cc:64] Could not load dynamic library 'cudart64_110.dll'; dlerror: cudart64_110.dll not found 2025-03-14 02:35:59.705273: I tensorflow/stream_executor/cuda/cudart_stub.cc:29] Ignore above cudart dlerror if you do not have a GPU set up on your machine. Software: STM32CubeIDE v1.18.0, STM32CubeMX v6.14.0, STM32CubeProgrammer v2.17.0Hardware: NUCLEO-WB09KE Hello,I am trying to observe Bluetooth functionality on a NUCLEO-WB09KE board. I have run the p2p_server example for the board unaltered, and it works perfectly. The device is discoverable using a Bluetooth scanner on my phone. However, when I try to copy the .ioc settings and BLE configuration to a custom project (no changes have been made to the .ioc file), it is no longer discoverable. Even when I copy and paste the .ioc file and create the new project from it, it still is not discoverable. I have debugged to verify that I am not ending up in an error handler, and I am not. APPE_Process is running. The only difference is that I am creating a new project and trying as opposed to copying the example from ST. I want to be able to observe BLE functionality in a custom project. Any help here would be appreciated!Matt H.

Hello,I'm working with the STM32N657X0H3Q MCU and trying to implement a UDP server . I enabled the Ethernet peripheral and selected NetXDuo in STM32CubeMX(6.14.1), then generated the code for MDK-ARM (Keil). However, two important driver files were not generated:nx_stm32_phy_driver.cnx_stm32_eth_driver.cI noticed that in your example here:"https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-N657X0-Q/Applications/NetXDuo/Nx_UDP_Echo_Server"the two files mentioned above are included, but this example does not contain a .ioc file, so I couldn't verify how they were configured. To troubleshoot, I looked for another example with a similar configuration and found the STM32H5 series UDP example here:"https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeH5/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-H563ZI/Applications/NetXDuo/Nx_UDP_Echo_Server"This H5 example includes a .ioc file, and I observed that under NetXDuo > Network Interface, we can select:Ethernet Interface.LAN8742 PHY Drive

Hi I have a simple question about DFSDM configuration. I want to apply sinc5 with 32 samples length and therefore get 32 times decimation. Btw, I use internal ADC1/ADC2 in dual mode. STM32H725.Thus, for a given ADC frequency F I expect to get decimated frequency Fd = F/32. Here I assume that FOSR = 32 and IOSR = 1. To my opinion there should be no dependency of sinc order X.But I see quite different results. To be more accurate, I use one channel/filter block with FOSR = 1, and another one with a combination of FOSR and X to be investigated. I compared decimated frequencies of the filters and experimentally got the following relation between F and Fd (i.e. input frequency and decimated frequency):Fd = F/((FOSR+1)*X+0.85) for all FOSR > 1. If FOSR = 1, the input frequency seems to be unchanged.Just to stress: I expected Fd = F/FOSR. Perhaps, Fd = F/(FOSR+1). But why is it multiplied by X and got additional 0.85?

Hi,I am accessing a DRV8873s motor driver (SPI version) on two different NUCLEO boards. My usage is limited to reading data from 2 registries.I got it to work on a NUCLEO-STM32F411RE using SPI2, with the following settings:Motorola format, 8 bits, MSB first, prescaler 32 to get a 1.5625 Mbits/s rate, CPOL = low and CPHA = 2Edge.Now I try to do the same with a NUCLEO-STM32F767ZI and the same code and configuration (apart from the baud rate, set to 1.6875 MHz) don't work anymore.I have tried SPI4 and SPI5 on this board with the same result: the data read by HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive is not correct. Is there a difference in the way STM32F4 and STM32F7 perform SPI communication, or in the electronics?

I've been trying to set up a timer and DMA to run a synchronous parallel bus onto a GPIO. The timer works great but the DMA keeps failing with a transaction error interrupt and disables the stream. This is on an STM32F413 chip and using TIM2_CH1 as a PWM output and DMA1 Stream 1 connected to TIM2_UP event. The DMA is configured as below: static uint16_t _waveform[2]; _waveform[0] = 0x0555; _waveform[1] = 0x0AAA; LL_DMA_SetChannelSelection(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_CHANNEL_3); LL_DMA_SetDataTransferDirection(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_DIRECTION_MEMORY_TO_PERIPH); LL_DMA_SetStreamPriorityLevel(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_PRIORITY_VERYHIGH); LL_DMA_SetMode(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_MODE_CIRCULAR); LL_DMA_SetPeriphIncMode(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_PERIPH_NOINCREMENT); LL_DMA_SetMemoryIncMode(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_MEMORY_INCREMENT); LL_DMA_SetPeriphSize(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_PDATAALIGN_HALFWORD); LL_DMA_SetMemorySize(DMA1, LL_DMA_STREAM_1, LL_DMA_

When using HAL_SPI_Transmit_DMA with STM32743, must the transmission data buffer and reception data buffer be placed in D1 RAM?Also, is there a way to dynamically allocate D1 RAM? Rather than declaring an array placed in section("D1"), I would like to dynamically allocate it like malloc. Is this possible?

Hi, I have installed MC WorkBench(6.3.2). While Project Generation it gives "STM32CubeMX not found" error. I have already installed STM32CubeMX (6.14.1), also STMCube IDE (1.2.1).Is there any setting that needs to be done? Thanks,Harsh

HelloI want covert my quantized onnx model(develop by pytorch)  to .nb format, to enable stm32mp257 npu accelerate.I use ST Edge AI Core V2.0.0,(V2.1.0 has been not support stm32mp257).when I run generate command,it report lose file "onnx_ruler_db.json". run command：/opt/ST/STEdgeAI/2.0/Utilities/linux/stedgeai generate -m ./xxx.onnx --target stm32mp25command result：ST Edge AI Core v2.0.0-20049LOAD ERROR: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/opt/ST/STEdgeAI/2.0/Utilities/linux/lib/python3.9/site-packages/onnx_ruler_db.json'

I soldered a new STM32 on the board, it can enter bootloader, but it's under Readout protection(I guess I bought renovated chip), I don't know how to unlock Readout by STM32CubeProgramer, finally, I use STVP and ST-LINK V1 to connect through SWD, and change the option byte, unlock Readout protection.I don't want to use ST-LINK and STVP, because I need to have SWD interface on the PCB(the PCB space room is very limited). I want to use STM32CubeProgramer through USART to set option byte, but I didn't find out how to set option byte if the chip is Readout protected.
