If ADC1 is continous mode, what's the maximum value for R14? I think the higher the R14 the better, but if too high, the ADC1 value may lower than real.

Greetings,In my application i have initialized STM32F205RG with USB High Speed Host for detecting USB Key board and I2C2 for communicating with DS3231 RTC Module. RTC module works prefectly when i don't initialize USB HS peripheral, but when both initialized in the project then I2C2 always sends me HAL_BUSY state. Is there any solution or work around for this problem ? I am using cube mx for code generation and initialiazation. Thanks.

I can c in RM0033 (Rev9) Figure 18, that PA2 is connected with low impedance to a diode to V_DD, if PA2 is configured as analog input...In Doc ID 15818 Rev 9 I see that R_ADC is at least 1.5kR...If I connect PA2 in analog mode directly to 5V: Would I create a high current through that diode to V_DD (in my case 3.3V)? Or would the current be less than 1mA (1.4V/1500)? Google's Gemini and DeepSeek say, that that would damage the ADC or its MUX...In RM0033 (Rev9) Figure 13 it looks like, I can still read the analog value on PA2, if PA2 is configured as digital output (open drain and BSRR|=(1<<2)).Should I connect PA2 via 50kR to the difficult voltage? I cannot use a voltage divider, because that would interfere with the external pull-up resistor at PA2... I try to read CC1 of a USB-C host port... and DeepSeek says, that the USB-C device might possibly decide to connect CC1 to 5V, although I hoped, that the USB-C cable would not allow that...

Hello everyone,I am working on a system based on the STM32H747BIT6 MCU and do not plan to use the DSI interface. I have searched through various forums but still have some doubts about the proper power pin configuration when DSI is not in use. Here is what I have so far:VSSDSI: Connected to GNDVCAPDSI: Connected to VDD12DSI (capacitor not required)VDD12DSI: Uncertain about the correct connection. I would like to avoid using an LDO to step down from 3.3V to 1.2VDoes anyone have experience with this setup or any recommendations on the best approach for VDD12DSI?Thanks in advance.

I have a custom board based on the STM32F407IGT6 and I'm having trouble connecting via ST-Link (v2 clone) using STM32CubeProgrammer. It seems st-link unable to find the target mcu. I checked all SWDIO, SWCLK, NRST, VDD, GND connections with a multimeter. I've used the ST-link with my another custom board that have STMF446RE and I can connect with no problem. BOOT0 pin is grounded and I can see NRST pin has 3.3V when board is connected with an external power supply. Custom board has only MCU soldered (and needed caps and resistors that connects to mcu). Board is powered externally and ST-link's 3.3V pin is also connected to target. I also have replaced MCU with a new one but this didn't changed anything. What could be going wrong or I should check? I also attached schematics of the board if that helps.

Hi, I have the STEVAL-MKI109D board, on which I mounted the STEVAL-MKI250KA. I would like to implement the free-fall example on the FSM, using data from the ST1VAFE3BX biosensor, using only MEMS Studio. Is it possible to do this without writing firmware solution? If so, how should I proceed? Thanks.

I'm trying to get USBX MSC working in standalone mode on the STM32H573I Discovery board.I've come across a few tutorials for setting up USBX in VCP  mode and have attempted to adapt them for MSC, but I haven’t been able to get the USB to enumerate properly. My background is in electronic hardware design, so this software side is quite new to me.Are there any tutorials specifically for setting up USB MSC in standalone mode that I can follow? Alternatively, are there any example projects available?Thank you

I've be trying to learn CAN for the past few days for a project using 2 Nucleo F103RB and 2 CAN transceivers. I made a very basic code using normal mode and without using RTR. Now I want to learn how to code using RTR, can someone help me please?(I already know what is RTR, I want to use it and can't find where to learn it).

So I've opened a brand new project for the board STM32U5A9J-DK (ThreadX) via TouchGFX Designer. I generated the code and flashed into the board. No issue.I opened the .ioc file, added the USB_OTG_HS and the USBX with the Audio Class. I've then generated the code with CubeMX. The code is correctly generated but the Makefile used by TouchGFX Designer is not updated. Once trying to compile and flash for the target, you'll have that the .h files are missing. The fix is to manually add to the gcc/Makefile:usbx_os_path := $(cubemx_middlewares_path)/ST/usbx os_source_paths := \ AZURE_RTOS/App \ USBX/App \ $(cubemx_os_path)/common/src os_include_paths := \ AZURE_RTOS/App \ USBX/Target \ USBX/App \ $(cubemx_os_path)/common/inc # USBX source paths usbx_source_paths := \ $(usbx_os_path)/common/core/src \ $(usbx_os_path)/common/usbx_device_classes/src \ $(usbx_os_path)/common/usbx_stm32_device_controllers # USBX include paths usbx_include_paths := \ $(usbx_os_path)/common/core/i

Hi all,We’re a small startup developing a commercial product using an STM32H755ZI, and we’re getting ready to ship. One of the key things we want to bulletproof before launch is firmware recovery for end users, especially in case the firmware upload fails (e.g., they unplug during flashing, or the update crashes). At the moment we erase the flash memory and uploads elf files using dfu utils. It works most of the times but we've noticed that when it fails there is no way of getting the device running again unless st-link is used. Even having a switch for boot pin is not helping. Here are our questions:• Is relying on the dfu utils safe and recommended for production units?• What are the best practices for implementing this kind of user-friendly recovery flow?• Are there better tools or alternatives to dfu-util for desktop apps?Any help or advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hey everyone. I am trying to print something on TeraTerm console using USART2. I am using STM32L4R5ZI board for this function. Below is a picture of my .ioc file: Below is the Code in my while(1) Loop: Below is the configuration for USART2 in main.c file and msp_c: Finally, this is my clock configuration for this project: My teraterm settings are as follows: I am trying to send some data to TeraTerm. However, nothing is being printed out. Can someone help me out with this issue? @Peter BENSCH

So, I've got a circular transfer working, sending 24-bit words to a dual channel SPI DAC (with hardware NSS), paced by TIM2 and working well. For every edge of TIM2 a word is sent. Since this is a dual channel DAC, I would ideally like the transfer 2 words for each pulse of TIM2. So if I had a buffer [ADATA1, BDATA2, ADATA1, BDATA2, etc..], we would send ADATA1, and immediately (after the idle cycles setup for SPI) send BDATA1, then on the next trigger edge, do the same for ADATA2 and BDATA2. Is this possible? Maybe with the 2D addressing channels? I cannot simply set the timer exactly twice as fast as the one that my ADC is using or else they slightly loose sync and get really ugly jitter. Not sure what this is but it just won't work for me. With my ADC DMA and DAC using the same timer they are locked up perfectly and no jitter.

I have stm32cubeIDE version 1.17.0 and I'm not able to import this project and build it: https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/USBD_Composite_STM32H503

Hi everybody. Please help me.  I bought a VL53L4ED sensor and would like to learn how to use it.I have found a number of documents and driver examples, but have been unable to find a document describing the internal registers and their function. (programming manual) . I must be looking for it wrong. Can you please direct me to the proper document?Thank you very much.  Jaroslav

I'm starting a project on the STM32U5G9, and one feature we want is USB connectivity, just a simple virtual COM port (CDC class).  Looking at the Middleware picker in CubeMX, the only USB-related items are USBPD (don't need Power Delivery at the moment), and USBX, which is the ThreadX/Azure RTOS USB stack.  If I look for CubeMX examples for the STM32U5G9J-DK2, the only USB examples offered are for ThreadX and USBX.Is it reasonable to assume that if I don't want to be writing my USB application from scratch on the STM32U5, I should be using ThreadX/Azure RTOS instead of FreeRTOS?Dana M.

Hi all,I'm Fairly new to both STM32 and the SPI protocol. I'm struggling to get communication working. MCU: STM32F722RETXDevices: GS12281 & GS12170I have both devices connected to my SPI1 bus with SPI initialized as follows:  hspi1.Instance = SPI1; hspi1.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi1.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi1.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi1.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi1.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi1.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi1.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_16; hspi1.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi1.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi1.Init.CRCPolynomial = 7; hspi1.Init.CRCLength = SPI_CRC_LENGTH_DATASIZE; hspi1.Init.NSSPMode = SPI_NSS_PULSE_DISABLE; The device(s) Datasheets specify a 48bit (3 word) communication exchange for read/write operations. I've minimized the test code to the bare minimum to try writing to th

I have a custom board that uses STM32F746VGT6 MCU and 1894K-33LF Ethernet IC. I have an old STM32CubeIDE project that allows to configure Ethernet parameters (such as duplex mode, speed, autonegotiation) from internal MX configurator. Generating new code with MX changes the libraries to newer version that differ significantly in how Ethernet and PHY are initialised. Also it's not possible to configure as many Ethernet parameters as before. How to configure external Ethernet PHY with newer libraries?

Setup: NUCLEO-H503RB with X-NUCLEO-IKS4A1, using STM32CubeIDE. To familiarize myself with I3C, I am playing around in this setup and have some source code which causes I3C interaction between controller and target. I have a logic analyzer attached, and all looks good. However, this only works when executing the code without breakpoints. As soon as I break to debug, I can never see the "Tx FIFO not full flag" in the event register but the code relies on it. When I continue stepping, the code obviously misbehaves because it doesn't see the flag either. Code that was executed without breakpoints does see the flag and behaves as expected. Does the flag auto-clear after a while? Where is this documented? Why do I never see it in the debugger? This prevents me from stepping through the code which contradicts the purpose of my setup. Example: I hit a breakpoint in the interrupt handler in stm32h5xx_hal_i3c.c. The event register does not show the TXFNFF: But the ISR code has obviou

Hello,I am currently trying to program a nucleo board using USART. For this I am using the bootloader and Cube Programmer. I first developed a program and tester it by programming via st link. My program worked with no problem. I then tried to program using UART. I was able to connect but as soon as I started programming, I get the message Error :GETID command not acknowledged and then the nucleoboard is disconnected. Here are my settings and the boot0 pin is tied to 3.3V.When I program I can see on the oscilloscope that some part of the program is on and working but not fully as well.Any idea ? Thanks very much

hello        I would like to know the possible reasons for  anomalies.        I used the AI library generated by NanoEdge AI Studio to run tests on STM32F407, and the similarity obtained was abnormal. Some exceed 100, such as 255, and I would like to know the possible reasons for such anomalies.        Thanks.

I am using an STM32H7-based 7.0" Riverdi display board. I supplied 12V power to the board and connected the SWD pins to my external debugger. When I first powered the board, the pre-installed demo application on the screen ran correctly. After that, I created a GUI project using TouchGFX and selected the STM32H7-70STM board as the template. I compiled and flashed the code, and TouchGFX reported that the upload was successful. However, after flashing, the screen remains completely black and does not respond.I tested other GUI projects — even very simple ones with just a button — but the screen still does not display anything.I would appreciate help identifying the cause of the issue.
