Solved

My company has purchased STM32F407G-Disc 1 board for evaluation in order to use STM32F407VE in our hardware.UART6 (PC6 + PC7) works fine but UART 1 (PA10 + PA9) does not work.I found in some old posts that in the discovery board there is a large capacitor connected to PA9 that prevents the uart from working.Is this true? Does this mean that in my final hardware design there will be no such issue and UART 1 will work fine?Thanks.

Hi,I have a question that might be helpful for many others as well.I am currently using the MB2046B development board, which features the STM32C071RB microcontroller, along with STM32CubeMX for code generation.I also have a custom board that uses the STM32C071CBT6 microcontroller.Will the same code developed for the MB2046B board (with STM32C071RB) work on my custom board that uses the STM32C071CBT6?if Not can you please tell me the Why it not works for instant we forgrt about the pins

I am Working with the board NUCLEO-N657X0-Q, I need to generate a c code of the Ai model Run in the Board, for that I generated a c code for the STM32N6570-DK to run in my board from St developer zone. Unfortunately i cant build the project file in CUBE IDE i cant figure out what is the problem.

Hello,I am trying the sleep example for the development board B-U585I-IOT02A, called PWR_SLEEP. I decided to add a channel from ADC1 module and I want to test, but I do not see any header file on the project. I enabled ADC1, channel 1 on pin PC0 in the .ioc file. Is it allowed to modify and add modules there?How do i see the complete code? Furthermore, I see the file from hal_adc contains #ifdef HAL_ADC_MODULE_ENABLED and currently the whole file is in grey as if the ADC module has not been enabled. I am not sure it should be like that.Regards,Gergana

Hi everyone,I faced a frustrating issue with lwip_connect() hanging forever when trying to use an STM32 as a TCP client (FreeRTOS V1 + LWIP stack). 🧠 Problem SummaryCalling lwip_connect() inside my STM32 TCP client code caused the system to hang indefinitely.It was getting stuck at this internal LWIP line: sys_arch_sem_wait(LWIP_API_MSG_SEM(msg), 0);This only happens when the TCP/IP stack is waiting for the connection to complete, and never gets a response.🧪 Observations- I could ping the server (PC) from STM32 successfully.- My STM32 TCP server mode worked perfectly.- But when STM32 tried to connect to Hercules TCP server on port 503 — it hung forever.- LWIP debug logs showed that:- tcp_connect() was called- But the TCP state machine never moved forward- The stack kept calling tcp_slowtmr: polling application LWIP Debug Logslwip_socket(PF_INET, SOCK_STREAM, 0) = 0 lwip_connect(0, addr=192.168.1.1 port=503) tcp_connect to port 503 tcp_slowtmr: processing active pcb tcp_slow

Dear STMicroelectronics Support Team,I am currently working with the STM32C011F6 microcontroller and attempting to enter the built-in system bootloader via software from my application. My goal is to flash the device over I²C from an external processor (RFSoC running Linux), without toggling the BOOT0 or RESET pins.I followed the STM32 application notes AN2606 and AN4221 closely and implemented the bootloader jump using the standard approach:1. Disabling all interrupts (NVIC->ICER / ICPR)2. De-initializing peripherals (HAL_DeInit, HAL_RCC_DeInit)3. Stopping SysTick4. Setting the MSP from address 0x1FFF00005. Jumping to the bootloader reset handler at 0x1FFF0004From the external I²C master, I send the `0x7F` SYNC byte, and I **consistently receive a NACK (0x1F)** instead of the expected ACK (0x79). I confirmed the I²C lines (PA9 and PA10), 100kHz speed, correct pull-ups, and that the STM32 is not held in reset or debug mode. I also verified that the bootloader jump function is being

Hi,I fell in love with this cute little uC and created all kinds of succesfull projects.Now I have a problem. I want to decode DCF77 time signals. I bought me a few DCF77 receivers from China. They all work fine. I connected the data output of the DCF77 to the STM8S103 uC portpin PA1. I configured the port interrupt to only react on high-going edges. Even if the PA1 signal is low, when enabling the PA1 interrupt more than 1 interrupts are executed. I tried many things.- inside the interrupt handler dummy read the GPIOA->IDR- inside the interrupt handler keep track if its the first or next entry it turns out also the next entry is executed- changed the interrupt type to raising-edge-only, same behaviourBut nothing helps,who can help me out?

Hello We are trying to boot BareMetal application using Sd-card on STM32MP257F-DK Board. We have a few questions regarding this:1.In SD-Card Boot mode what is LOAD ADDRESS of image?2.At this address will it load only application or application with header?3.At entry point will it start executing the code or will it expect the vector table Thanks and regardsAkshitha Pattem

Hello,Could someone please help me?After writing the following code to my custom board using the STM32H725, I can no longer connect to CubeIDE or CubeProgrammer.I believe the issue is due to accidentally enabling the MPU in CubeMX.I would like to recover the MCU by initializing the flash or using another method.Thank you in advance.#include "main.h" #include "stm32h7xx.h" #include "stm32h7xx_hal_flash.h" #include "stm32h7xx_hal_flash_ex.h" #include "stm32_hal_legacy.h" void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MPU_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); int main(void) { MPU_Config(); HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } } void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; /** Supply configuration update enable */ HAL_PWREx_ConfigSupply(PWR_DIRECT_SMPS_SUPPLY); /** Configure the main internal regulator output volt

HelloI want to use 3 x STSPIN220 for controlling 3 x stepper motors (motorized lens: Zoom, Iris, Focus). Currently to test lens I want with X-NUCLEO-IHM06A1 evaluation boards (with NUCLEO-F401RE). In stm32_nucleo_expansion_boards_motor_control_selection_guide.pdf mentioned that up to 2 x X-NUCLEO-IHM06A1 are stackable.It is not clear for me how I can do it and to control movement of at least 2 lens (of 3) separately? Thank you in advanceAlex

Hello everyone on the forum.I have created a UART DMA receive program with Nucle-H723.This time it is working properly, but sometimes it does not work properly.DMA set up in normal mode on UART4 RX.DMA initialization function of UART.void UART_DMA_Init(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { UART_HandleTypeDef *pHuart = huart; memset(RxBuf, 0, UART_BUF_LEN); __HAL_UART_DISABLE_IT(pHuart, UART_IT_PE); __HAL_UART_DISABLE_IT(pHuart, UART_IT_ERR); __HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT(pHuart, UART_IT_IDLE); HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(pHuart, RxBuf, UART_BUF_LEN); }UART DMA receive processing function.void UART_DMA_EventHandler(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { UART_HandleTypeDef *pHuart = huart; uint8_t RxData[UART_BUF_LEN]; if(__HAL_UART_GET_FLAG(pHuart, UART_FLAG_IDLE) != RESET) { __HAL_UART_CLEAR_IDLEFLAG(pHuart); HAL_UART_DMAStop(pHuart); uint8_t RxBufLen = __HAL_DMA_GET_COUNTER(pHuart->hdmarx); RxBufLen = UART_BUF_LEN - RxBufLen; RxBufLen = RxBufLen % UART_BUF_LEN; if(RxBufLen > 0) { me

Hi.I am currently developing a motor control platform using STM32G441 and am facing a problem.I am controlling a 3-phase motor with TIM1 based on packets from Half duplex USART1 (PB6), but when I Start TIM1 CH2, the USART1_TX pin, which should be unrelated, is pulled down to low level.Specifically, PB6 is pulled down by executing HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_(&htim1, channel2) or by setting the AF register and MOE register (output enabled).This occurs only on CH2 and is not reproduced on TIMx CH2 (inverted) or other channels.No short circuit in the board pattern is observed.In half-duplex, pull-down to low level during Idle section is a fatal problem.I have investigated using an oscilloscope, and it behaves as if the TIM1 CH2 pulse is shorted in the MCU with some resistance.Is this problem an errata of the STM32G441?Thank you.

 Hi everyone,I’m currently working with the STM32N6570-DK board and trying to read an analog signal using the  ADC1/2 INP8 channel (PB10) using the MB1280C Fanout board (Pin 13) with STMOD+ connector. However, I'm consistently getting a value around 2000 (high impedance value), regardless of whether I connect the pin to GND or a 1.8V source.For reference, I’ve used similar code on the STM32F441-RE board where it works perfectly, so I suspect this might be related to board-specific settings.Steps to Reproduce:Create a default STM32N6570-DK project using STM32CubeIDE.Set PB10 to ADC2_INP8 mode in the .ioc file.Keep the ADC settings at their default configuration (12-bit resolution).Add UART print statements to output the ADC values over the COM port (as shown in my main.c file).Observe that the ADC value remains around 2000, regardless of the input voltage on PB10 or Pin 13 on the fanout board connected to STMOD+ connector.I’m attaching my full project for reference.

The board seems to be very selective on the power provided on the STLINK port. Even with an USB 2.0 external  powered hub, it often does not power on.  The board seems to need 5V/3A. That would mean a USB C Hub, (USB 3.0 Type A max is 0.9A)  or using USB C port on a host  to power to also have access to the debug UART . Another solution would have been a split cable for the STLINK port with one end to power the board and the other to the host. The manual states a USB C to A cable is needed but it a bit vague about STLINK it needs a USB-C host.USB A 3.0 is only 0.9A max and it seems not enough (at least for initial power on). Some USB C to A (brand new) cables won't power on the board connected to the STLINK connector and some others do, that even with a type A USB  5A power charger.  Some different LED conditions occur in this case.1. LD5  RED blinking and others off.2. LD5 and LD6 always on REDCould not find these status on the manual. What do these

The author of this how to get CANopenNodeSTM32 working video is very good (The length of the video is 3:31:33; The part that is pertinent to this post 57:05 - 1:18:22).  Unfortunately, this video targets FDCAN (but I don't have this available; my chip just supports plain CAN) and this video also targets bare metal (but I don't have this available; FreeRTOS is what I am using).  I tried to follow all of the author's steps but was unable to.  When I ran I got a HardFault with the CAN node never even coming online.Executing this line is what causes the Hard faultcanopen_app_init(&canOpenNodeSTM32); From the instructions in the video, there are numerous steps that are different between FDCAN and CAN and I don't know what the equivalent (plain) CAN steps are which I believe may be the root of the problem.      Under the "Parameter Settings" tab"FDCAN1" and "FDCAN2" are in the video at 1:00:55. Mine doesn't have these.  Mine jus

I have succesfully built and programmed a TouchGFX application to my board in release mode. When I try to use the debugger I have limited success. If in the Project Explorer I highlight the (in FSBL) line and launch the debugger and press F8 my application runs. Any breakpoints I have set in my application do not trigger. If in Project Explorer if highlight the (in Appli) line and launch the debugger I receive an error "Failed to execute MI commad" It worked for me one time but I cannot relpicate the sequence that gave me that result. How do I launch the debugger so that breakpoints in my application will work?

I've got an STM32G431 project that uses half of the FLASH (64K) for a boot loader and half for an application.I can successfully load both of these programs using STM32CubeProgrammer, but I am not able to debug the boot loader in STM32CubeIDE as the application was being erased when starting the debug session (which is configured to download the code when it starts).The Console output shows the following when the debug session starts:Memory Programming ... File : ST-LINK_GDB_server_v0z2LC.srec Size : 64.00 KB Address : 0x08000000 Erasing memory corresponding to sector 0: Erasing internal memory sectors [0 31] Download in Progress:This correctly shows load boot loader's FLASH address, and the erase command shows the expected page ranges (corresponding to the first 64K of FLASH).I am actually developing the code that will be responsible for erasing the application as part of the boot loader, and simply have the boot loader call the erase routine when it starts up so that I don't ne

Greetings.I'm trying to repair an old car audio system and need to replace this TDA7243. But I can't find a spare part or the datasheet to find one. Does anyone know what TDA I can use to replace it? Thanks.

I'm running into an issue on two boards (an STM32H735 Discovery Kit) and a custom board with an H743. #include <stdio.h> #include <zephyr/kernel.h> int main(void) { while (1) { printf("Hello there, world!\n"); k_msleep(1000); } return 0; }If I flash the program, it runs fine. If I start debugging it, it SIGTRAPs at 0xA05F0000 inside the k_msleep() (around sys_clock_tick_get_32()). Even though my debugger says the program is stopped, it continues running doing the printf() and waiting the 1 second in each loop. I'm using VSCode with the Zephyr IDE plugin on a mac - using either stm32cubeprogrammer or OpenOCD as my runner. I'm connected to my custom board with an STLinkV3. I'm using the inbuild STLink on the Discovery Kit board.I've googled and see a few references to 0xA05F0000 with similar bugs, but nothing that's a definitive answer. Does that address mean anything to anyone?

Hello ST Community,We are currently working on a project involving NB-IoT connectivity using the SIMCom SIM7022 modem, which is interfaced with the STM32L496ZG microcontroller via UART. Our goal is to establish MQTT communication with AWS IoT Core by sending AT commands from the MCU to the modem.Working Standalone Test:Before integrating with the STM32 MCU, we tested the SIM7022 module using a USB-to-TTL converter connected to a PC terminal. In this setup, the modem behaves as expected:Responds to AT commands properly (e.g., AT, ATI, AT+CSQ)Shows strong signal strength (AT+CSQ returns good RSSI)Registers on the NB-IoT network (AT+CEREG? returns +CEREG: 5,5)Connects to AWS IoT MQTT broker over SSL/TLS with certificate authenticationThis confirmed that the firmware version 2110B13SIM7022 works correctly and the modem is functioning properly.Issue with STM32L496ZG Integration:When we use the STM32L496ZG to send the same AT commands to the SIM7022 module through UART, the results are incon

Hello everyone, I’m using an STM32L412K8 microcontroller with an external 32.768 kHz LSE crystal to operate the RTC for real-time clock functionality. However, I'm facing two issues: Second jumps: the seconds skip multiple values out of order (for example, jumping from second 9 to second 16). It consistently jumps by 7 seconds every 10 seconds. The attached image shows some of these jumps. Irregular seconds counter: The seconds count exceeds the normal range, reaching values above 60 (for example, 89) before rolling over to the next minute, as shown in the attached images.What are the possible solutions I can try?, Any tips or suggestions would be very helpful.Thank you in advance!
